4/3/16.....taught Sunday School today

Bill and Paul Nelson at lunch with Malachi

We got snow but not as much as they said.  Beautiful cardinal on the feeder!

I taught Sunday School.  Had eight sweet kids and taught them about the ascension of Jesus into heaven.  Doughnuts after church was a nice surprise.  YUM.  Bill and I bought New Life t'shirts.
Bill and Melissa said it was an amazing message on the modern family.  It is on our church website so I will listen to it asap.  Bill wants Kimmy and Vikki to listen to it too because it was so good.
Malachi took Bill out to eat with him and his dad.  They went to Applebee's.  So thankful that Bill has so many godly friends in his life.  Thankful for all mine too.  Poor Vikki isn't feeling good today.  She must have caught what Peyton and Isaac had.  Sure am praying for her.  Bill and I watched the movie Dolphin Tale.  It was very good.

4/2/16 Went to the National Cemetery in Holly where they honored Vietnam veterans

Driving into the National Cemetery in Holly

They moved it inside because it was cold and snowy outside.

Bill looking a the only Coast Guard Veteran there..(in the leather coat)

Bill with the flags and many gravesite in the background.  There is a lake in front of him.  It is absolutely beautiful there.  We will be buried her when our time comes unless the rapture happens!

On our ride home

Cute egg basked we found for Kimmy.  It was almost time for them to pack up so they took about any price offered.  Got this for a couple dollars and got the shoes below for a couple of dollars too.  They are new and were priced at $20....$2 sure is a better deal.  Really soft leather too.

We stopped at Tony's on Center for a Hamburg and we split some fries.  Bill wanted a shake, but the machine was broken.  We both just got waters then.  I told him to smile for the pic and this is what I got.  Must have been too disappointed about the shake machine!

The snow on the pine trees in the background is beautiful!

We got ready and left for Holly to go to the National Cemetery.  It was a very moving service with many speakers.  I sat next to a 90 year old lady who was as sweet as could be.  Her great niece was standing behind her and had brought her.  The lady's husband had passed away.  He was a marine and so were his 3 brothers.  Her son was also a marine, but was a policeman now and had to be somewhere else.  I told her niece that we belonged to CMA and she wanted to know if there was a chapter in Flint.  I had Bill write the info down for her and she was very happy.  After the service was over a man played Amazing Grace on the bagpipes.  It was beautiful.  I asked this nice lady if she knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior and she took my hand and said yes.  We said we would see each other in heaven some day then.  Made my day!  We left and Bill asked if I wanted to go to the Garage Sales at the Expo in Birch Run.  Of course I said yes.  We had fun walking through and looking at all the stuff and getting a few deals.  I got the stuff in the pics and also some cheap cars for my surprise bag at church.  We left there and when we got back, we decided to go get a burger at Tony's and then get gift card and go to Best Buy and get an Amazon firestick.  They were out so we had them order one.  Sure am looking forward to getting it.   We came home and watched a really good movie on Netflix called Jump In.  I did some walking as I needed to get my 10,000 steps in for the day.  Glad to go to bed after that.

Went to an 8 o'clock appt for my mammogram.  After that I had to go get a blood test.  Had to fast for 12 hours...nothing to eat or drink.  Picked up some lunch meat, cheese, and fruit from Meijer's.   Headed home and Kimmy came right after I got there.  They surprised me and got me a 6 foot sturdy charging cord for my phone!  Love it.  They sure made me happy.  Thank you Kimmy, Jacob, Adam and Eli.  So happy the boys are off school and could come too.  Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came shortly after.  Papa took Jacob and Adam to Tim Horton's.  The rest of us visited and had lunch.  Then they got back and we all watched a super hero movie.  Melissa called and was at the Henry Ford Museum and asked if I would go let Abby outside.  We finished our popcorn and Kimmy and I went.  Abby got scared and peed when we got there.  Poor Melissa forgot her fitbit and she is getting tons of steps.  Papa reminded Jacob and Adam that they said they would pick up sticks in the yard for him taking them to Tim Hortons.  We all went out and everybody worked hard picking up sticks.  The yard looks great and we are so thankful for all that wonderful help.  Adam wanted to spend the night which is a big thing for him.  I was so happy he did.  We were supposed to go to Detroit for a motorcycle bikeorama so couldn't but will get him soon to.  Bikeorama ended up being cancelled boo hoo.   Supposed to get a 3" snow storm tomorrow.  Wish that was April's Fools!

3/31/16...Picked up Kenzie and went out to eat. Took Joel to Cracker Barrel in the evening.

Rainy day today!

Gayla messaged me this picture of her relaxing on the beach.  Love that beach!  It's almost like I am there....when I see this

Kenzie took a selfie of us.  She sure takes better selfies than I do

Jacob, Nick and Adam looking for frogs and snakes.  They found 3 snakes and 1 frog they told me.

The boys made this huge tent.  Adam in the background

Joel at the Cracker Barrel

Joel ate everything on his plate, plus a salad, plus a biscuit.  He was pretty hungry.  He and dad got chicken tenderloins and I got a turkey dinner.

Bill and Joel

Made calls to set up my mammogram and blood tests for tomorrow at 8 a.m.  I picked up Kenzie at 11:15 and we went to Tim Hortons and both had French vanilla Caps with a shot of caramel.  She had a bagel and donut and I had a turkey sandwich.  She picked up an application while we were there.  We left and went to the resale shop across the street.  I found three cute tops and Kenzie found a cute t-shirt with a kitten on it she loved.  After that we went to walk around the Mall.  Got some flip flops for her.  She wanted to eat at a cheaper restaurant (I was going to take her to her favorite restaurant Bennigan's)and asked if I could get her a pair of flip flops.  Found flip flops she liked for 3.99.  We went to Petsmart after that and looked at the cats.  Took Kenzie back and she brought her kitten out for me to see.  She sat in the car for a while with her cat.  She gave me a little wallet thing for Aunt Missy to have.  I gave her a container of goulash and her coloring book I had gotten for her and her mom a long time ago.  She loved it.  When we went into Rue they had some coloring books on the counter like it and we looked at them.  The kid working there opened the page and showed us the lion and told us the colors he had colored his.  He was really nice.
I called Kimmy to see if she was home and went there for an hour and 15 min.  We had coffee and a nice visit.  The boys were having fun playing in the ditch when I got there and then came in the house and made a huge tent with Nick.  Kimmy showed me where they moved the kiln and also the nice cover she made for it.  She is so talented.  I came home and we got ready right away to go meet Joel at Cracker Barrel.  We always have such a nice time with him.  He is so kind and has such nice manners.  He is also always very thankful to the waitress and to us and especially God.  He loves the Lord so much.

3/30/16...Peyton, Isaac and Vikki came over

Went for my doctor's appt.  Glad it is over, but it went well.  Now praying for good test results.  Stopped at Kroger and Aldi's to get some groceries.  Vikki stopped over with Peyton, Isaac and Lennox.  I was so happy to see them.  At 6:30, we met Vicky and Kevin Beemer at Berger's.  We all got perch dinners.  They were delicious.  Heidi Bailey is a waitress there, so we talked her for a while.  We had a nice visit and then came home and just relaxed.

Another pretty Easter decoration

We went to breakfast at Sullivan's.  Nine of us were there today.  Bill had eggs and potatoes and I had oatmeal with raisins and walnuts, plus we both had toast.  I went to Kroger's afterward and then to Melissa's.  The boys came out running to greet me.  Hailey was at Presley's but came home before I left.  Melissa and I watched some videos and then I realized I lost track of the time and needed to be home to leave to go to Matthew's.  I hurried home and we went to Frankenmuth and got Matthew.  He rode his Amigo and we walked to Zehnder's.  It was a little chilly until we got on Main Street and then it was sunny and warm because we were protected from the wind.  We visited along the way.  Matthew mentioned Vikki and him going for a walk several times.  He was pretty happy about that.  We ate downstairs at Zehnder's because Bill and Matthew like eating down there best.  We had a yummy chicken dinner and a nice long visit.  It was even warmer out when we walked back to Matthew's.  When we got there, we couldn't go in the garage door, so we moved the ramp to the front door and moved the bench so Matthew could go in.  Bill and one of the workers lifted it up so he didn't need the ramp for the step up into the door.  We went in and looked at Matthew's room and the bathroom shower.  So nice that he can take showers in there now.  We left and went to Birch Run to give our condolences to Gail and the rest of Dick Fabian's family.  Came home and relaxed while I was waiting to go to Stacie's, but Vikki texted me and said she was in ER.
She ended up canceling the dog class.  She called me after she got home.  She hit her head on a file cabinet hard at work and ended up falling on the floor.  Her work took her to the ER and she threw up on the way there.  Ended up having a concussion.  They did a CAT scan to check her out.  Thanking the Lord she is ok.  Talked to Kody who was so cute talking on the phone.  Since I didn't have to go to Stacie's, I went with Bill so he could put up Denise Martin's light fixture.  It took him quite a while because he kept running into complications, but finally got it hung and it looked and worked great.

3/28/16

Beautiful tulip Bill bought me at church Sunday

Rainy day.  There's a beautiful woodpecker(or as Peyton says, woodknocker) in the tree but the picture didn't turn out too clear of him.

I'm really loving worshipping to the CD Vikki gave me.  After I finished I went to the Sportszone, but they had a sign up saying the Silver sneakers program was suspended.  They are working to reinstate it but it may take 2 months.  I sure am glad it is getting nice out so I can walk outside now instead.  Will have to use my basement on rainy days.  We went to Bay City to look at some chairs for the camper.  They were nice and comfy but pretty low so we didn't get them.  Downloaded the song Keep Walking (Marching).  It is a great one to walk to.  Love the words to it and the way Toby Mac sings it. Made goulash for supper and asparagus.  Yummy!  Thought about Kenzie as it's her favorite. Did some walking outside.  Pretty wet and soggy out there.  Made a donation to Go Fund Me for the family in Hemlock whose house exploded.  Watched the Tribute to Dick Fabian channel 5 did.  It was really nice.  I learned a lot I didn't know about him.  I remember going to Battle of the Bands when I was a teenager and seeing him there.  Sad that he's gone.  Doing lots of praying for Gail and their family.
