1/14/17....Went to Fred and Lourdes's

Fred gave us this rocker to go with our other one (it's twin) from grandma Schmidt

A picture of Bill and I and Lourdes and Fred in the restaurant.  I posted it even though my eyes are closed.

We had fun going through Fred's treasure box Bill had given to him when he was a kid.  He had lots of pictures in it of school friends, and also family (there were a couple baby pictures of Melissa in it)

This is the close up so you can see Billy S. written it it.  The picture in the bottom right corner is of Fred
When I got up I got ready and then I made a lemon meringue pie for Fred and Lourdes.  It's Fred's favorite kind of pie.  We went and got gas for my car and the gas cans.  Came home and tried posting pictures on the CMA Faith Rider's website but couldn't get them to post, even though they showed like they would.  Before we knew it, it was time to get ready and go to Fred and Lourdes's house.  We went and got the car washed first and then took some easy movers to Bruce and Melissa's house for them to use if they needed them.  They were in the process of removing wallpaper in the family room.  We got to Fred and Lourdes's at around 4.  We visited and Lourdes showed us some things she is selling for health purposes.  They gave us lots of stuff:  a diffuser, frankence, grounding wires and patches and a rocking chair that was Grandma Schmidt's.  We rode with them in their Mercedes to and very fine dining restaurant.  I had Salmon, Lourdes and Bill had perch and Fred had another kind of fish.  It was delicious and a great atmosphere and our booth was roomy and comfortable.  We went back to their house and had some lemon pie.  It tasted pretty good.  Adrian was there cooking his dinner so we visited with him a little.  Fred got this box out and showed Bill.  It was a box Bill had given Fred when he was a kid. There were pictures of school friends, and other family pictures.  He had a couple of baby pictures of Melissa in it.   Fred had one of his all A's report cards when he was a senior.  On our way home, Fred texted me and told me he and Lourdes had another piece of pie.  I was so happy he liked my pie.  We had such a nice time.  They are both so sweet.  Love them and love spending time with them.

1/13/17...Kimmy, Vikki and Melissa came over. Very nice day

Baby James is 9 months old!  He is always smiling and so cute

Mocha was pretty brave today.  She came out of her cage when Lenny was here.

Lenny and Mocha

The girls came in the morning.  I had them each draw a number and then gave them each a big roll of Christmas wrapping paper with that number on it. I got each roll for 49 cents at Meijer's. We watched one of the sessions from our Bible Study DVD called Not a Fan.   I had peeled potatoes and carrots and cut up chicken for veggie soup so put it all in the power pressure cooker to make.  It took 30 minutes and then it was done.  I called the girls out to watch me let the pressure out.  We had a good laugh because I filled it too full so soup juice came squirting out and the moisture catcher overflowed.  It was some demonstration alright.  The soup turned out good though and we had salad to go with it
We visited more after we ate and then the girls left to pick their kiddos up.  Bill and I watched 3 more sessions of the Bible Study DVD and then we went to Culver's for a Concrete Mixer.  I had coupons! They sure tasted good.

Dan and Renae (they live close to Kimmy in Hope)
Icy in the morning so schools all over were cancelled.  I just stayed put as I saw a car going down our road at the pace of a snail.  In the afternoon, I went to the dentist and the roads were fine by then.  I ran off some copies of my newsletter for Faith Riders to take to the meeting.  Love having it at Pizza Hut.  There back room is so nice and we have room to grow.  Not many places have nice back rooms to meet in that are quiet.  We had 28 come and Bill did a wonderful job leading the meeting.  The pizza was delicious.

1/10/17...No school for all the grandkids because of slippery roads, Celebrated Dennis's Birthday at Caregroup

Dennis and his cake

The roads were covered with snow so schools all over were cancelled.  We got about 5 inches of wet heavy snow.  Bill used his tractor with the snowblower, but he couldn't run the snowblower as the snow was too wet and heavy.  He just pushed the snow away with the snowblower blade. I shoveled the deck off.  After he did our house, he went and did His Restoration.  He had an appointment at the VA Hospital too.  I steamed cleaned my tile floors while he was gone.
We set up for care group and slowly kept getting calls that people couldn't come because of roads, sickness, etc.  It was raining and they were afraid it might freeze on the way home.  We have a couple from Coleman so it was understandable.  We ended up with just Dennis and Kay coming, so the four of us had a good lesson and a good time.  We sang Happy Birthday to Dennis and had cake and ice cream which was very good.  The cake was from Sam's Club.  Love this lesson we are doing called Not a Fan!  Can't wait for the next lesson

1/11/17...Went to Melissa's so Bill could charge her battery because her car wouldn't start, Taught my class at church

Evan was excited to show us all the things his light saber did

Beautiful Peyton with her hair straight and long.  Can't believe how long it is.

Got a call from Melissa because her van wouldn't start.  We went over and Bill got the battery charged and the van started.  Melissa and I visited and Evan showed us his light sabers.  He was home because he had diarrhea in the morning but he sure was feeling good now.  He had coughed a lot an night too.  Melissa gave Bill and I each a piece of yummy banana bread.  We came home and then I left again to take the induction cook top back that the girls got me for Christmas.  It wouldn't work no matter what plug I used.  Boo Hoo.  I found one online with good reviews so will order it.
I went to Walmart and Meijer's but didn't find one here.  Vikki faceted me to show me Peyton's pretty hair.  She sure looks different  with it straight.  She has some really long hair, but you would never know it with all her curls.  I love her curls though.  Bill went to Burger night at the Falcon Club with Charlie, Sue, Dorthy, Gary, Kenny and Kitty.  I ate left over chicken, carrots, Potatoes, and homemade applesauce.  I made it in the Power Pressure Cooker last night and it was so good.  Went to my class and we are starting to use a curriculum we used a while back that I love.  Nice to see all my kiddos there after being off so long for the holidays.  It sure was raining hard when I got out of class.  Bill and I watched a movie.

1/8/17... Went to church, went to Logan's to eat, came home and watched football and then the first Parent Trap movie.

Got ready and left to go to the Armory.  We stopped at Tim Horton's for donuts and coffee and french vanilla cap. on our way.  Once a month we do a service for the guys and girls in the military there.  There were about 11 of them that came today.  After we worshipped, Christine gave a great message.  Afterward we walked around and prayed for those who wanted prayer.  Love going there and seeing their love for the Lord and their hunger to know Him more.  We came home and made coffees and headed to our church.  Vikki and her family, Melissa and her family and Stacie were there and sat with us today.  Pastor Ken preached a good message on the simple life.  After church, Bill and I went to Logans and had steak and baked potatoes.  We came home and watched a couple of football games and the first Parent Trap movie.  Had fun reading old blogs of the girls and Kenzie.

Took Christmas tree and decorations down, Bill came home from his retreat

Peyton with her new baby doll Vikki got her

Isaac in his cute new sweatshirt Vikki got him

Bill was gone at the retreat so I finished taking the tree down and all the other decorations.  I called Vikki and she came and helped me move the tv and furniture. We put it in the corner by the hallway door.  Thank you so much for all your help Vikki.  We hooked the antenna connection up but had to wait for Bill to get home and make the adjustment in the basement.  After Vikki left, I took the decorations down in the family room.  I got everything down and put away and then got a message from Bill that he would be home in a minute.  I sure was happy to see him and met him at the door with a big kiss.  While he unpacked, I vacuumed the steps, hallway and family room.  Bill hooked up the antenna in the basement.  We get 30 clear stations now.  Amazing!  After that we got to visit for a while, then watched a very good movie on the Christian channel.  It sure was a tear jerker though, with a great message.  We ate spaghetti for dinner and then watched the Lions game.
