5/6/17...Went on our Run For the Son ride to raise money for missions. Got up to 60 and sunny so we were happy for the weather report changing. Rain had been in the forecast. Stopped at Kimmy and Jared's afterward

Bill Smith, Matt, and Bill

Our two Group pictures at Bill and Sabrina's house

Fellowshipping

Nana and Jacob (He showed me a paper he got from school with his grades so far)  What an amazing kid!  He is doing amazing and getting great grade.  I am so proud of my Jacob!

Kimmy and I were sitting on her new swing and took a picture of all the men and boys working on the deck.  Hard working boys for sure!

Love this picture of Eli

Beautiful farm scenery

Kimmy sent me this picture of the deck so far.  It is coming along good and will look so nice!  More space on it too!

Isaac with his new shorts he got tonight.  He is sure handsome in this picture and his shirt and shorts are pretty cool!

We headed out on our motorcycle and stopped at Tim Horton's to pick up donuts for everyone.  We had a pretty good turnout for our Run for the Son ride.  Loved that it was sunny when we started.  I had four layers of clothing on so I stayed nice and warm.  We turned it the money we had collected.
Had coffee and ate donuts and visited with each other before taking off to meet Trinity Riders at Meijer's.  This was great since we used to belong to Trinity Riders and they birthed us so to say to begin a new chapter.  Our chapter sure is growing quickly now.  Lots of new committed people too!
So far we have raised $9,500 for Run for the Son.  So great!  We rode to Maxfield's in Edmore for lunch.  They have an amazing buffet and salad bar.  Their soup was the best I have ever had at a restaurant.  Good ice cream too.  We rode with Dan and Renee (they live pretty close to Kimmy and Jared) afterwards because we wanted to stop and see how their deck was coming.  Jared was working on it.  The boys had a nice tent made on the back deck.  Got lots of great hugs from them.  Kimmy and I walked through her woods and looked at all the flowers that are out there.  They are beautiful.  We sat on her swing and it is so comfy.  Love where she has it.  We watched the guys and kids working on the deck.  So nice to see those helpful boys!  We left shortly after that and when I got home I realized I left my purse there.  Kimmy texted me too, to tell me.  I headed back and went to get it.  Nice drive listening to Christian Radio on the way.  Came home and started working on clearing out the wooded area by my lilies of the valleys.  Bill came out a little later and helped do almost the whole area.

5/5/17...Went to the Lutheran School Music Festival with Melissa

Hailey in the music competition at the Music Festival at Holy Cross Lutheran.  I love going to this each year!

Met Melissa at Vikki's and spent a few minutes visiting with her and Vikki.  Left for the school with Melissa to pick up Hailey and a friend to take to the Music Festival.  What a fun day with Melissa at Hailey's Music Festival.  Loved seeing her and the other kids sing and play instruments.  Hailey was in handbells, Advanced Choir, Advanced Band, A trumpet trio, and a double singing duet.  She did amazing!  Got 1's (which is the best) in everything but the Advanced Choir.  They got a 2 in that.  So proud of my sweet Hailey.  They served lunch their, so when we had a long break between things, we ate.  Sat with Hailey and some of her friends.  I had a sub sandwich with fritos and Melissa had a hot dog with chips.  We did go back later for a snickers with almonds.
We did a lot of walking from the different classrooms they were singing/playing instruments in to the next place we needed to be.  These kids are amazingly talented.  The judges were all really nice (and very talented themselves)  They would point out the good things they were doing and then tell them things they should work on and have them try it.  The judges judging the singing had beautiful voices
and sang parts to show the kids things they could try.  One of the judges had the kids each hold a stuffed animal that was in the kindergarten room to show them the difference of just singing and singing to something with emotion involved.  It was cute how he did it.  While I was sitting waiting for Hailey, Ally, and the two boys to sing, Cathy Krause called to see if we wanted to meet her and Tim at the Maple Grill, Gayla called to see if we wanted to come to their house on Sunday to celebrate Wes's Birthday and Sandy called to see if I wanted to go to the Family Book Store that's closing.  Then they texted me or left messages because I couldn't be on my phone while the kids were singing.  I was videoing each one Hailey was in.  I can put videos on here for some reason.  We met Tim and Cathy and Bill had a huge hamburger and potatoes and I had yummy meatloaf, grilled carrots and potatoes.  It was so delicious and the place was packed.  There was a continual line coming in.

5/4/17...Vikki came over, I made ground bologna, Kimmy came over, Helped Bill get bricks, Officer's meeting

Kimmy taught me how to play Strategy.  Happy to know how to play it so I can play it with the boys.  I got the game at a garage sale for 75 cents.  We played double perfection after that and raced.  Kimmy won both games of that.
We went to Bill Smith's and picked up all these decorative bricks.  Bill rolled and cut their grass for them yesterday and Sabrina asked if he knew anyone who wanted the bricks.  He told her we did.
Today he was going to go get them by himself.  Kimmy and Vikki were here and wanted to go help him so we all went.  Good thing we went because there were over two hundred and some were three deep and had to be dug out.  We didn't have a shovel with us, so Vikki went to the neighbors and found someone who lent us two shovels that were two house down.  The girls really worked hard.  Thank you so much!  We are so blessed with loving family. We came home and I got pops and ice tea and took it out for us while they worked on unloading.  I helped and Misty got here with her two cute dogs and she helped too.  That made it go really fast.  Bill is going to power wash them and then we are going to put them around trees.  Vikki went with Misty to the dog park and Kimmy and I worked on taking the plastic up around the house.  I had done almost all around the whole house, but these spots were covered with grass and lots of roots were in them from the bushes.  We worked hard and got the grass rolled up for Kimmy to put down in a spot in her yard that needs grass.  We put the little swimming pool in her van and put the sod in it.  She worked so hard and it looks so nice around the house now.  Bill and I went to our officer's meeting for Faith Riders.  It went very well.

5/3/17...Walked at Sports Zone, Melissa and I went shopping, Taught Kid's Care Group

Beautiful sunset!

Walked 3 miles at Sports Zone.  Afterward, Melissa called and wanted to know if I wanted to go shopping with her for Evan's Birthday present.  She had a coupon for $10 off $50 at Toys R Us so we bought out gifts together and each saved $10.  We got Star Wars Lego sets which he will love.
We went to Tim Hortons for drinks and she had a breakfast meal.  I was full from eating my oatmeal after I walked.  We decided to go the the Christian book store after that.  They had everything marked 50%-90% off, plus 50% of your entire purchase.  We each got over $100 for $20 some again.  We got nice shirts of the great new material which are $32 and we got them for $6.  You sure couldn't beat the deals.  I got lots of cards for a few cents and books, CD and journals.
Had a great class for my K-1 Kids Care Group.  Love these sweet kiddos.  There was an absolutely beautiful sunset.  I was in awe of God all the way home.  I took this picture when I got home, but it doesn't do it justice.  It was magnificent.

5/2/17...Went to breakfast, went to Melissa's, went to Kroger's to get some groceries, Went to Aldi's, Had good care group

Got this cute picture of Hailey from Melissa!  She went to Splash Village with a friend and her mom and the mom bought her this cute towel, shoes and stuffed animal.  She told Hailey to pick out a stuffed animal and Hailey picked out a little one.  Then the friend's mom told her to put it back and pick out a big one.  Hailey was very blessed.

Had our driveway chip and sealed.

Got this cute spinner today from Aldi's.  It's nice and sturdy and turns in the direction of the wind plus spins

Close up of my lawn spinner

Went to breakfast.  Nancy and Randy came and surprised us.  Had a devotion and prayer and good breakfast.  Afterwards, I went to Melissa's.  Abby came and greeted me right away. Gave Melissa a spinner I picked up for the boys.  Thought it might help them with their homework.  I talked to her later and she said it helped them a lot.  Alex Galsterer showed me his at Kid's Care group last week.  That's the first I had seen one.  Melissa said even Hailey liked it.  I got a beautiful sturdy lawn sinner at Aldi's today.  Love how it spins.  It was very windy out today so it was turning and spinning lots.  I don't know how the picture turned out so good because I took it while it was spinning fast.  Went to the Family Book store and got over $100 worth of stuff for $20.  I would rather have the store stay open then get these deals though.  Bill called me while I was there and wanted to get the driveway chip and sealed.  They guy could do it today and Bill got $500 off because they were working in the area.  It only took them 1 and 1/2 hours.  We could drive on it right away which was nice because we had care group.  Had 11 here for care group.  Good lesson, fellowship and snacks.

5/1/17....Called Debbie to wish her Happy Birthday

Went to Sports Zone and walked 3 miles at fast pace.  Called Debbie to wish her a Happy Birthday.
Started my lesson for care group.

4/30/17...Happy Birthday to Evan, Went to church, went to Olive Garden, went to see "Greater" (Movie Jessie Karls wrote an d directed)

Happy Birthday to my grandson, Evan.  I love you and I'm so thankful God gave you to us.  You are always so cute, silly and sweet.  You bring us so much joy!  Birthday hugs to you sweetie!

Melissa and Bruce made these cute treats for Evan's Birthday to take to his class.  The kids are going to love them.

Bill, in front of the Temple Theatre.  We went and saw the movie "Greater"

Went to church.  Vikki and her family went to Rody's mom's church and Melissa and her family went to Bethlehem to church.  Stacie wasn't at church either, so our row wasn't as full as usual. Gayla's Brother and his wife visited our church and sat behind us.  We had a nice visit with them.
After church, Bill asked if I wanted to go out to eat.  Of course I said yes.  We were trying to decide between Harvey's and Olive Garden and decided on Olive Garden.  We just got seated and noticed Debbie and Jeff Davis were sitting in the other dining room.  We asked them to come sit with us so they did.  They had discussed going to Harvey's too, but decided on Olive Garden.  We had a wonderful meal and visit.  After that we came home and I started putting our Faith Rider's newsletter for April together.  Bill fell asleep on the couch and then went to bed to nap better.  Kenzie messaged me and wanted to come visit.  She got here and brought her cat with her.  Her cat was really nice and did a lot of purring.  She showed me her hula hooping routine.  She is very good at it.  She's talented at whatever she does.  I gave her a book and calculator so she can study for her tests.  She had a grilled cheese sandwich, some salmon and some peanut butter with pretzels dipped in chocolate while she was here.  I invited her to go to the movie with us, but she got a phone call from Trevor and he was pretty upset about his cousin, Tanner that just died.  People at work were asking him about him.  Kenzie headed to his work instead of going with us.  We met Wes, Gayla, Melissa, Bruce and Hailey at the Temple Theatre.  Jessie Karls wrote and produced the movie, "Greater".  It was good and sure makes you think and see how great God is.  Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world!!!  There were a couple of things they could have left out of the movie to make it better.  Loved that it was filmed in our town.  Neat to see all of the familiar buildings and places in it.  We ordered a DVD.  It was filmed right in our town so that was pretty cool.  A kid from our church, Joel Curry was in the movie and did a really good job.
