1/13/18...Went to Aldi's with Vikki, Bill and I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond, walked through the mall, and then picked up Coney Dogs, fries and rootbeer at Old Town Coney.

I went to meet Vikki at Aldi's.  It was still really slippery out still.  She went and got the glass trimmed for her makeup table after that.  I came home and watched our Christmas DVD's. I got another laugh when I watched Bill open the lamps he had snuck into Kimmy and Jared's van.  It was so funny when he realized that's what was in the package.  I sure enjoyed watching everyone opening their gifts.  What a precious family I have.  Bill and I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and then walked through the mall.  We went to Old Town Drive in and used a coupon for coney dogs, fries and root beer.  Came home at ate it. It was delicious!  We watched some Hallmark movies and played Words with Friends.

1/12/18...Didn't go to the SportsZone because of the ice and snow.

I woke up and figured all the schools would be closed.  None of our grandkids schools were closed though.  So many other ones were that I couldn't believe it.  Our bird feeders were covered in ice and so was our mailbox.  It was beautiful with the snow on top of it.  With ice and all the snow, I decided I didn't want to go out in it so I didn't go to the SportsZone.  I put the nativity pieces Bill brought into the garage in the attic and got everything back in order up there.  Vikki and the kids stayed home because they weren't feeling good.  I was trying to call her and got my friend Vikki instead.  We had a great talk though so that was good.  Played some on the keyboard Bill got me for Christmas.  Bill and I played 3-13 and went up and down the hill and I lost by 2.  He was 80 some ahead of me at one time so at least I had a good comeback.  Had fun watching Jared's mom and dad's wedding video.  It was so cute.

1/11/18...Slept in until 7:00, Dropped forms off at new doctor's office, Insurance Rep. Stacie came to our house and Rich Dudek came over to sign up for Humana too.I added more dental coverage. Went to Kimmy's and took Jared and Kimmy's birthday gift to them.

I ran over some forms I had to fill out for my new doctor before I go for my physical on Monday.  Went to Walmart and got some filters, coffee ice cream and creamer.  Got home and Stacie from Humana came over.  I upgraded my dental coverage to what I had last year with my other insurance.  Rich came over and signed up and set up for his wife to sign up in March when she retires.  I went to Kimmy's and took her and Jared their Ninja Coffee Bar for their early birthday gift.  Kimmy and I set it up and tested the coffee.  It was so good.  We watched a couple videos on You tube about the ninja coffee bar.  Checked on the sheep a couple of times.  We picked the boys up from their bus.  They were surprised to see me again.  Jacob went to hop in the front, but i was in his place. They were happy to see Mocha and she was happy to see them too.  She was naughty while we were there, after I bragged about how great she is about always getting me when she needs to go outside.  Sure was nice seeing Kimmy and the boys two days in a row.  I left at 4:30.  Saw one eagle on the way home.  Bill and I picked up John Nance and took him to our Faith Rider's meeting.  So wonderful!  His sister, Penny, came out and gave us $40 to put in the offering for Jon and her.  We only had our Christmas party in Dec., no meeting, so this was a blessing because we hadn't taken any offering for Dec.  God made up for it!  He is always amazing!  It was a great meeting and we had 33 people there!  Bill did great leading it and Elaine did great on her first night as Chaplain, sharing a message.  It was 55 degrees out so that was wonderful too!

1/10/18...Had new door trim and insulation put in the front door. No more cold air! Yay! Went to Kimmy's and spent the day, Taught kids at church

I walked 3 miles at the SportsZone.  Came home and did my Bible reading.  Made oatmeal that I got at the Amish Store for Bill and I.  It was so good.  Made me a coffee too.  The guy got here and started working on the doorframe to the front door.  I made him a pot of coffee.  He had a super big cup that held a half pot of coffee.  I left for Kimmy's after that.  I sure wanted to see eagles by their nests, but didn't see any.  Just as I got on US 10, one flew right over my car.  That made me pretty happy.  I went to Aldi's, Yonkers, Hallmark, Bath and Body and Barnes and Nobles.  Left and got to Kimmy's right after she got home. I sure was happy to see her.  Haven't been able to go by them since Christmas Day as they were all very sick and didn't want to catch it.  Nice to finally be able to hug her.  We went out and checked the sheep, and then came in and had sub sandwiches.  They were so good.  Thank you Kimmy.  Vikki called and talked for a while.  Kimmy and I visited, checked on the sheep a couple more times, and then played Sequence. Kimmy won 2 games and I won 1.  Guess I need to practice up.  We had fun playing.  The boys got home and I sure was happy to see them and get hugs too.  I gave them each a Star Wars toothbrush I got on sale.  Also gave them some mini M & M's.  We played a game of Sequence with the boys.  Adam and I won that one.  Eli was sure cute.  

Left and came home.  The door sure is nice now.  There was no insulation in the old frame.  No wonder it was so cold.  No more cold air coming in now.  I warmed up the round steak and mashed potatoes for Bill and I.  Taught my kiddos at Church.  Fun night with them learning about taking care of dogs and decorating Christmas cookies.  They sure were happy kiddo's.

We went to breakfast.  Bill went to pay on our Wood Pellet Burner we are getting so they could order it.  They are putting it in next Wednesday.  Really excited to get it.  So much cold air comes in the fireplace right now.  I went to Melissa's and visited for a little while.  I forgot to take the ham bone I have in the freezer for them.  Went to Aldi's and got some groceries and then went to Sam's Club and got a birthday cake for Dennis.  They were having a sale on what I and getting Kimmy and Jared for their birthdays, ($30 off) so I picked it up.  They only had two left.  Such a blessing. I am so excited to give it to them.  Cleaned the bathrooms and scrubbed floors.  Made round steak and gravy in the crockpot and also mashed potatoes for dinner.  Had a great small group meeting and lesson. Wonderful time of prayer.  Blessed with such good friends who come.

1/8/18....Went to SportZone and walked, Guy game to measure front door frame, went to Mac Door and Window, and Menard's with Bill, Wes and Gayla picked us up and we went to Trinity Rider's Meeting

I went to the SportsZone and walked for 3 miles.  I was so happy because my leg didn't hurt at all and I walked a fast 3 miles.  Didn't forget my fitbit this time so that was good.  When I got home, the guy came to measure the door frame for the front door.  We are blessed, because we don't have to get a new door, he can just redo the frame and insulate it so the cold air doesn't come in.  We are getting a new storm door with a retractable screen.  So tired of our screen popping in when people touch it.  Otherwise I love the door with just the glass in it.  They are fixing the frame on Wednesday and we will get the storm door within the next 2 weeks.  Bill and I went to Mac Door and Window and also to Menard's.  Came home and cleaned some of the house for small group tomorrow night.  Wes and Gayla picked us up and we all went to Trinity Rider's meeting.  Had a good time seeing all of our friends there.

1/7/18...Went to church, went to Arby's after church and then to Best Buy to get a Rotor. Our old one quit working. Rody came over to help us as we had trouble setting it up. Went to Melissa and Bruce's for Hailey's birthday party.

We went to church.  Very sad to see the Nelson's leaving and going to Oregon.  Denise hugged me and was crying and thanking me for loving her kids and teaching them, which of course made me cry so we hugged again.  I have had all but the oldest 2 in my class.  8 sweet kiddos passed though and touched my heart.  I sure will miss them.  Bill and I went to Arby's for lunch and used our coupons.  We went to Best Buy after that and got a new Router.  Our old one doesn't work right anymore.  Bill stopped at Meijer's on the way home and I ran in quick and bought lots of gum packs.  I taped them all over Hailey's presents.  Hailey wanted gum in church today and I didn't have any.  Can't wait till she see's her present tonight.  We got the Wi Fi working, but couldn't get the tv connected, so we called Rody and he came to our rescue again. He got it all set for us.  Isaac came with him today.  He had cookies and asked if he could take two home to Peyton.  What a little sweetie.  The rest of us had butterhorns.  They left, and we headed to Bruce and Melissa's for Hailey's birthday party.  She was so happy when she saw her presents with all the gum packs taped on them.  She gave me an extra hug.
We sat in the living room by the fire for a while.  It was so warm and cozy and looks so nice with all their new furniture from Christine in there.  We had taco's that were yummy; then we had cookie cake and ice cream.  It was yummy too.  Hailey opened her gifts and liked everything she got.  She and Ally took pictures with her new camera and they also started working on her scrapbook.  I am so happy she has a great friend like Ally.  Jack, Evan, Papa, Melissa and I had fun with the squishy's Hailey got.  The boys were on a team and the adults were on a team.  We got lots of exercise trying to keep the squishy's and getting them away from them.  So much fun and a great party!
