Lenny loves it in there...he's such a cute dog

Got up early to pray and read the Bible before church.  We watched the church service online.  One of the best messages ever!  I made eggs, potatoes, bacon, and toast after church was done.  Bill had to take some things back to Kohl's he ordered on Amazon and something back to Menard's.  It wasn't too busy so that was good.  I talked to Sue on the phone while he went into Menard's.  Charlie was having a good day and wanted to walk the hall again.  He hallucinated last night because of the medication, so he called Sue on his cell phone and told her he was seeing things.  She went to his room right away and let the nurse know, so they changed the medication.  I read some journaling I did from 1993 to 1995 in my planner.  So much fun to read about our Florida trip when the girls were young, and so many other memories written down.  Bill and I watched the movie, Miracle Man and had banana splits while we watched.  Face timed with Vikki, Melissa Face timed me because Evan wanted to see us and tell us goodnight, and I talked to Kimmy.  Great Day!

Friday, 11/20/2020...Charlie's surgery took 11 hours, but he came through it good! Praise God!

Selfie of me and Bill on our walk

Got up early and was praying for Charlie's surgery to go well and for Sue to have peace while she waits.   We ate breakfast, then I walked a mile on the treadmill.  It was beautiful out, so I decided to walk the other mile outside later with Bill. Vikki and the kids came over.   The kids had a snack and then we played a round of 3-13 and will finish it next time they come.  I called Sue at 8:30 and she said Charlie's surgery started at 7:30.  She said he had a tear in his eye when they took him back.  The surgery was supposed to be done around 2.  Bill and I went for a 3 1/2 mile walk.  It was so beautiful out.  Sue called and said they found 3 white spots when doing the surgery, so they had to biopsy them and wait for the results before finishing the surgery.  The results came back and they weren't cancer, so they could finish the surgery.  Praise God it all went well, but ended up taking 11 hours.  Sue called us when he was in recovery and they were going to move him to a regular room.  Yay! I talked to Melissa a couple of times today.  Texted with Adam.  Face timed with Vikki.  Bill and I watched an Amish Movie in the evening.

This picture came up in my memories on my phone today.  Love this of Max and Mocha!

I got up at 4:30 and got morning routine done and shower taken.  We picked Charlie and Sue up at 7 and took them to U of M Hospital for Charlies Surgery tomorrow for esophageal cancer.  It's his birthday today, so we had a card ready to give him.  Not a fun way to celebrate your birthday.  We couldn't go in, could only drop both of them off.  Sue has a room in the hotel in the hospital.  We prayed over Charlie before they went in the door and have been praying lots since.  Bill took the scenic drive home which was so nice.  We passed lots of lakes and ponds on the curvy road we were on.  We stopped and looked at the house Kenzie and Travis are going to remodel.  It's in a really nice area.  Needs lots of work, but has lots of potential.  We got home and Sue called to let us know how things were going.  They had forgot to send Charlie a big book about his surgery, and gave it to him to read.  A nurse told him he could decide even at 3 in the morning if he didn't want to go through with the surgery.  We prayed for God to help him decide.  He called later and said he was going to have it. We got a new blade and chain for Bill's chain saw.   He finished cutting up the tree and stacked the wood.  I raked all the sticks up and loaded the wagon, and then we dumped it on the fire pit.  Vikki and the kids came.  I decided to go to the park with them.  She took the dogs to the dog park, and then the kids roller bladed.  We walked out on the dock too.  We had a zoom meeting with Faith Riders.  Thirteen of us were on there.  Good meeting!  We called Louise and wished her happy birthday.  She is 97 years old today!  What a godly sweet friend!  It was so good to talk to her.  I texted Adam and I had a nice talk with Melissa!

Wed. 11/18/2020...Got up early, went grocery shopping for Thanksgiving, Had some yummy soup at Vikki's

Adam sent me these cute pictures

I'm thinking these glasses could help me win 3-13...maybe not, Jared won the game Adam said

Well I will be, here's another twin picture with you know who!

Vikki got a big tree this year.  It is beautiful!  Has all of her sentimental ornaments on it!

Fireplace and Mantle look so pretty at Vikki's too!

I got up early so I could get my routine done and get to the stores early.  I went to Kroger and Aldi in Midland, and was able to get my Thanksgiving and Christmas turkey and all the fixings for Thanksgiving.  I got gift cards too since they were quadrupled.  We have $1.40 off a gallon on 35 gal. now so that is good.  I came home and sanitized all of the groceries and put them away.  Bill was working in the shed and also burning brush in the fire pit.  I made dinner for Diane and James.  James was sick on the weekend with a fever and muscle aches.  His mom took him to have a Covid test.  He still hasn't got the results, but is feeling better.  Now today, his mom isn't feeling well and has a fever.  I had already planned to take them a meal, but just set it out on the porch for them so I wouldn't have any contact.  They are such nice people.  I sure am praying for them.  I went to Vikki's and tried some of her delicious broccoli cheese soup.  It was very delicious.  Her tree was up and she just had the last string of lights to put on, so I helped her.  The stockings and hooks I took her, look beautiful on her fireplace, so they have a new home.  I didn't use them last year, and decided I don't want to use them anymore.   Adam sent me the cute pictures I posted. So funny that there is another twin one!
