We took the truck and went to Mackinaw City in the morning because there was a chance of rain.  They kept moving the rain to later in the day.  At 9, Paul did the bike blessing for all who brought their motorcycles and came for it.  Afterwards, we handed out bike blessing stickers to everyone.  We walked around for a while, then packed our stuff in the truck and headed for home.  Right after we left, it started raining and kept raining for the whole day Gayla said.  They got the CMA booth packed up just in time and then it started.

When we were heading home, I texted Vikki to tell her.  She told me I had time to make it to Peyton's play.  I was so happy I could go.  The first time I was supposed to go, they cancelled because of Covid cases.  Then I was supposed to go see the rehearsal, but the said no one could come.  I thought I wasn't going to get to see Peyton sing in it, but was so happy when I found out I could.  On the way home, a bag with our sewer hoses blew out of the truck on the expressway.  I told Bill I would go get them.  He wanted to try backing the camper up and getting closer, but I told him I could run faster than that.  It was quite a ways back, but I saw the bag and crossed the expressway to get it.  Then headed back as fast as I could to get back in the truck so we could get going again.  I was just going to make it in time as it was.  It wasn't busy on the expressway, or we probably wouldn't have stopped to do the rescue of the bag.  We got home and Bill let me out right away.  I grabbed the binoculars and headed to the theatre.  I made it there, and walked in with Jeff and Tina Schrem.  I was happy to run into some I knew to walk with.  Kenzie met me in the lobby and took me up to the third balcony where they were sitting.  We had fun watching the play together.  Peyton and everyone did a great job.  Afterwards, we dropped Kenzie off so she could head home, and then we went to Mooneys for yummy ice cream.  Wish Kenzie would have had time to come with us.  We had such a fun time at the play and at Mooneys.

Friday, 6/10/22,

Lots of opportunities for CMA members to pray for people

Took this picture as soon as I could see the bridge

Me and Bill by the camper relaxing
Bill heading to the movie. They were showing Lion King and having free popcorn
Our 3-13 score sheet and also dice.  I haven't one a single game of 3-13 since we've been camping, but I've still had fun trying

We went early to Mackinaw City.  Hung out at the booth for a while and also walked around. The bike blessing went good.  There weren't as many bikes, because of no ride across the bridge.  The construction on 75 is what caused no ride.  There still was a good turnout and good prayer.  We haded out bike blessing stickers afterward.  I handed out quite a few.  We walked around some more and had opportunities to pray with people.

We came back to the camper and relaxed for a while, then walked around the campground, went to part of the movie and had popcorn and talked with our camping neighbors, then played 3-13 and dice.  Bill won 3-13 and I won dice.  It was a great day!

Nice view across the road while we waited

We walked over in the morning and wished Briggs Happy Birthday and gave him a cool motorcycle toy.  We gave his little sister a bubble blower.  Our nephew, Matt, Sara, Molly and Max came to visit.  We gave each other big hugs and it brought happy tears to me.  We had such a nice time  hanging out and eating lunch together.  Our neighbor her husband’s mom and the 3 kids came over and met Matt and Sara.  Briggs wanted to show us the watch he got for his birthday.  Bill took Molly, Max and Sara for rides on the motorcycle.  We spent almost two hours with them which was just wonderful.  Matt had to get back to work and we had to go set up the CMA booth at Mackinaw City with the Sandusky chapter.  Arnie and Cheryl came and helped and so did Carol Brown and her hubby.  We went through lots of shops.  It rained for about 10 minutes, then the sun came back out.  It was warm when the sun was out.  Pretty windy out today.  We had a nice warm ride back to Gaylord.  We ate at a Mexican restaurant after trying three other ones that Bill couldn’t find anything he liked at.  The pizza place had cheese in the sauce.  We came back and I texted with my sister Brenda (she wanted to come visit today too, but her husband tested positive for COVID a few days ago.  I FaceTimed with Evan and Melissa so he could show us his tent, then FaceTimed with Vikki and Peyton so Peyton could show us her shirt for the play she’s singing in.  Fun day.  At night we heard there is a live shooter on the west side of Saginaw.  Prayed with Melissa for Hailey and Levi to make it home safe.  Hailey has an appointment at U of M in the morning so please pray for good results.  Thank You!

Wed., 6/8/22, Haileys last impact was Sunday, Went swimming, went for a motorcycle ride, went shopping, went to Gobblers

We relaxed in the Jacuzzi after a nice swim in the warm inside pool

Cute cabins here

Long waterslide

Ice Cream in Gaylord
Nice motorcycle ride on the back roads then to Gaylord to walk through town
Bill took Briggs, our neighbor at the campground for a ride in our campground.

We wished Sue Happy Birthday right away in the morning.  She’s 80 today.  We had eggs, sausage, potatoes and toast for breakfast. Read our Bibles.  Went swimming at 10.  The water was so warm it was no problem to get in. Just my temperature. We went in the jacuzzi after we were done swimming.  Such a nice pool and no chlorine smell.  They either use something else or have great ventilation. We got back and our neighbor and his 4 year old son Briggs who will be 5 tomorrow came over to see our motorcycle.  Briggs had been asking his dad to come see it since we pulled in.  Bill made him really happy and took him for a ride.  He

Took him down the big hill too.  His mom and sister came over while he was get his ride.  They are a nice Christian family and we’re such a joy to meet.

We went for a nice country motorcycle ride because it was so sunny and nice out.  Went to Gaylord to walk through the shops in town.  Most were restaurants. I’ve never seen town have so many restaurants downtown.  We went in a furniture store and 3 clothing stores. Price range was $80 and up so we didn’t buy.  We ended up by an ice cream shop and we did buy there. Yum!We went to Gobblers for dinner and had turkey dinners. Delicious food!

I messaged with Sara Ann, our niece, and She , Matt and the kids are coming to visit us at the campground tomorrow. I can’t wait to see them!

Tuesday, 6/7/22, packed last minute things, Set up camper at Beaver Creek Campground, went to visit Mike and Jean

All settled in our nice spot
Tornado damage at Hobby Lobby in Gaylord. So sad seeing it!

Bill in camp store
The putt putt course was on the side of this hill
Nice they keep clubs and balls outside so you can golf anytime here
Bill beating me at putt putt.  It was a very hard course because our balls would just roll to the edge.

We got ready and then loaded the last minute things.  Headed for Gaylord at 10:15.  We got to the campground and it was such a nice one.  It’s a new one of Outdoor Adventures called Beaver Creek.  We walked down the big hill to check out our campsite before pulling the camper down.  Then we walked back up it. That was lots of exercise.  Bill parked it easily, then unloaded the motorcycle. It doesn’t take long to set up this camper.  We drove around to look at the campground, then drove into Gaylord to see the tornado damage. Still lots of damage they are working to repair.

We came back and explored.  We went to check out the inside pool and jacuzzi.  Very nice!  We checked out the store, the exercise room, the lounge, the water slide and then decided to try the putt putt.  It was the hardest one I’ve played.  The ball always rolled to the edge on all of them, far away from the hole.  One hole we both gave up on.one you had to go over water. If you went in the water your ball would go downstream far away fast. I speak from experience.  Luckily another ball was stuck, so I worked my way down to get it.  We sure had lots of laughs.  It was exercise too as we worked our way down the big hill it was on and then back up to finish.

We left to go to Mike and Jean’s house in Hillman. We went out to eat with them at a little country restaurant that sure served big portions!  Yum!  We came back and played 3-13. Bill win but not by much!

Monday, 6/6/22, Put chemicals in pool, went to dentist, packed more, shampooed carpet, helped Bill with securing motorcycle in camper

I caught another raccoon last night.  (3 in a row).  I took it to drop it off in the woods, because Bill went with Charlie for his appt. in Ann Arbor.  Charlie needed someone to drive him home.  Not my favorite thing to do as I don't like those rascals.  There was tons of dirt when Bill put the cage in the car for me.  I had a mat and garbage bag down, but when I took the cage out of the car, lots of dirt fell out.  I let it go, then when I got in the car, saw the door open light.  I checked all the doors, then checked the trunk. Well dirt fell in the little hole where the latch goes.  The trunk wouldn't close tight so that light stayed on and the bell dinged all the way home.  I vacuumed it out when I got home, but that didn't work.  I took Q-tips and wet them to clean it out, but that didn't work.  I blew it out with Bill's blower and then could get it shut.  The lights stay on when the trunk isn't latched.  I was concerned about the battery going dead.  I finally got it to close with a hard slam.

I went to the dentist and had the sweetest hygienist clean my teeth.  She was so nice, just moved here,  and is looking for a church, so I invited her to ours.  We shared a lot about what the Lord has done for us.  She is a sub for our dentist.  I stopped at Aldi afterwards to get a few things we need for camping.  It was raining when I came out, and when I went to open the trunk, it wouldn't open.  Bummer!  I finally pulled up really hard and got it.  When I got home, I thought of taking a toothbrush and brushing the hole and latch, then put a little WD-40 on it.  It has worked perfect ever since.  Yay!

Just took plant pictures today.  With the rain we got they are just beautiful.  I put chemicals in the pool so it will be good while we are gone.  Vikki will be checking on it too when she's here.  I worked on packing some more, vacuumed carpets and shampooed the living room and family room.  Bill called me when he and Charlie were at a restaurant, and wanted me to put the slide outs in on the camper, so I did that.  When he got home I directed him while he backed the camper up where he could open the door and drive the motorcycle in.  I helped him secure it, then packed a few more things. Charlie got us a huge cinnamon roll to share so we ate that.

I talked to Vikki and FaceTimed with her and Peyton a couple of times.  Talked with Melissa, Sue and Marie and texted with Adam and Vicki B.

Read my Bible at night.

Sunday, 6/5/22, Went to church, went to Nancy Pezell's Memorial service, Picked up truck from DJ, Visited Sue

Corn is coming up..have to click on these pictures to see it

Beans are coming up too...this year we are trying pole beans that climb

Got up early and saw that I caught a raccoon in the trap.  I told Bill about it, but he wanted to sleep longer and get it when he got up.  It was digging and flipping the cage, so I was afraid it might get loose.  I decided I would take it and drop it off by the river and woods.   I sure did pray because it seemed so mean.  It was 6:30, so no one was out on the roads yet in the country.  I put thick gloves on, made sure my phone was in my pocket, then lifted the heavy thing out of the hatch back and opened the door.  It ran as fast as it could to the woods.  Yay was I happy.  Next time, I am leaving these critters up to Bill to take care of.

We went to church early for prayer, then went into the service.  It was awesome worship today and and Pastor preached an amazing sermon on Pentecost and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

After church, we got subs at Subway, then picked up Elaine and headed to a memorial service in Detroit for our friend Nancy.  Jeff, her husband, was happy to see us.  It was a nice service that honored her life and presented the Gospel of believing in Jesus and making Him your Lord and Savior.  That is the only way to have eternal life with Jesus!

When we got home, I took Bill to pick up his truck from DJ.  We visited outside with Stacie and Kody and she showed me her planters and pots with veggies and plants in them.  They look beautiful and healthy.   Their pool is clearing up and just needs the middle stuff at the bottom scooped out.

I stopped at Jacks to get some lunchmeat and cheese for our camping trip.  After I was done I went to visit Sue for a while.  Charlie was just leaving when I parked my car.  I talked to him for a few minutes, then went in and saw Sue.  We had a nice visit.  I can't wait until she is ready to go home.  Such a dark dingy place she is in.

I came home and Bill and I ate the last of the goulash.  It was good to the last bite.

Bill has to take Charlie to U of M for an appointment to look at his throat to see why he is having trouble swallowing and to stretch it again.  He can't drive home so needed a driver.

I was excited to see corn, beans and sunflowers coming up in the garden.  Yesterday there was nothing that could be seen and today, after the rain, they are an inch high.
