Fire pit bricks leveled and stacked right by Kimmy, Vikki, Adam and Jacob

A raccoon got in my trap, but moved the cage and the lid I had the food on got under the thing that makes the door go shut, so it didn't close and the bugger escaped.  Tonight I will be staking the cage down.  Kimmy and the boys and Vikki, Peyton and Isaac got her shortly after 8.  They wanted to work on the mulch, garden and fire pit while it was cool out.  Kimmy, Vikki and the boys worked on spreading another layer of mulch around the house, while Isaac and Peyton helped me clean the upstairs, the foyer, and the downstairs bathroom.  They were amazing helpers.  Peyton did all of the dusting and Isaac vacuumed.  I washed the counters and cleaned stuff in the bathroom, then scrubbed the bathroom.  Peyton washed the mirror.  We went outside and checked on the outside workers.  They were done when we were, and it sure looked nice.  Thank you everyone.

Kimmy, Vikki, Jacob and Adam took all of the bricks from around the fire pit and leveled the ground they sit on, then restocked them really level.  It looks beautiful!  Thank you again.

Bill, Jacob, Adam and I worked on cleaning out our garage while Kimmy and Vikki thinned the corn in the garden and weeded around all of the plants in the garden.  They worked so hard out in that hot sun.  Hailey came and sprayed everything down and cleaned the mats.  Lots of stuff in the garage needed washing off as it was covered in dust since my dryer vent is out there.  Hailey did a great job!  Thank you Hailey.  Bill power washed the garage floor. The boys put fans out there to dry it.  Then they went swimming and so did Hailey.  I went to help the girls thin corn and beets in the garden and weed around them.  They didn't want me to help, but I wanted to spend time with them.  Vikki cut down my chives.  They were going pretty wild.  Jacob helped me dust the wall where the lint was all over, and Kimmy came and helped me wash it.   Kimmy, Vikki, Bill, Jacob and I helped put stuff back in neatly.  The garage is so clean and looks amazing now.  Bill and the boys moved some things around.  Hailey had to leave after she swam.  When Vikki and Kimmy were finished with the garden, we all ate lunch.  I took Kimmy and Vikki each tubs of water to soak their feet and then served them lunch.  They are such hard workers with such joyful hearts.

Melissa, Jack and Evan came to visit.  The boys had fun swimming and we had fun visiting with Melissa.  Jack and Peyton went to spend the night at Kimmy's, and Adam, Jacob and Evan went to spend the night at Vikki's.  Melissa, Hailey and I went shopping for some things for Hailey's graduation party.  We went to Hobby Lobby, Target, Big Lots and Meijer and found everything they needed, something from each store.  \

It sure was a busy but also a very fun day with our precious family!

Set the raccoon trap and secured it....will see if I am successful in the morning.

Monday, 6/13/22, Hoed the new flower garden, trimmed some bushes, Lunch with Hailey, Weeded around front of pool and around house, Vikki and Peyton came over

Hailey and I enjoying our time at Coco Loco
Playing 3-13 with Vikki, Peyton and Papa...Peyton was the winner.  She kept getting all of the wild cards
Before and after picture of the bricks.   The top picture was when Bill first did it.  They started leaning more and more until the bricks would fall and not be able to be put back in.  I looks so nice now.

Went outside and hoed the new flower garden while it was nice and cool in the morning.  Fed the birds.  Caught an opossum so Bill took care of that.  He went with Charlie for breakfast.  I brought a few things in from the camper.  Covered the camper wheels to protect them.  Saw a chipmunk, so I set the trap to catch it.  Read my Bible outside and drank my coffee.  Went to pick up Hailey for lunch.  We went to our favorite place, Coco Loco.  We always get the same thing....Nachos with Beans and Beef.  We called Vikki to join us, but she had just ate.  Hailey and I went to take pop cans back to Meijer, but there were about 4 people in line with tons of cans in their carts.  Must have been a group.  We decided to try elsewhere.  We stopped at my house and Bill put a screen protector on Hailey's Apple Watch.  He picked up mulch and he and Max spread it in the bricked area around the tree.  They worked on the electric fence and made the entrance.  It was nice seeing and talking to Max.  I got him a Pepsi because he was pretty warm.  Hailey and I went to the other Meijer, and could put our cans in right away.  I asked Hailey if she had a sweet tooth, and told her my dad always asked me that and then would treat me to a Hershey bar.  If we weren't real hungry we would split one, but most of the time he got us whole ones.  It's a great memory.  She was too full, so I just got her Tic Tags to have later.
I took her home, then came home and finished the laundry.  I weeded around the house and by the front of the pool.  Also trimmed some bushes and a small tree.
Bill helped Vikki pick up a table someone let her have for free that is beautiful.  Afterward, she and Peyton came and brought us Salsa and chips and goulash for dinner.  She brought us candy bars for dessert.  What a sweet daughter.  Thank you so much Vikki.  Everything was delicious.  We played 3-13 afterward.  Peyton won and I came in second.  We had so much fun.  I talked to Melissa lots.

We took the truck and went to Mackinaw City in the morning because there was a chance of rain.  They kept moving the rain to later in the day.  At 9, Paul did the bike blessing for all who brought their motorcycles and came for it.  Afterwards, we handed out bike blessing stickers to everyone.  We walked around for a while, then packed our stuff in the truck and headed for home.  Right after we left, it started raining and kept raining for the whole day Gayla said.  They got the CMA booth packed up just in time and then it started.

When we were heading home, I texted Vikki to tell her.  She told me I had time to make it to Peyton's play.  I was so happy I could go.  The first time I was supposed to go, they cancelled because of Covid cases.  Then I was supposed to go see the rehearsal, but the said no one could come.  I thought I wasn't going to get to see Peyton sing in it, but was so happy when I found out I could.  On the way home, a bag with our sewer hoses blew out of the truck on the expressway.  I told Bill I would go get them.  He wanted to try backing the camper up and getting closer, but I told him I could run faster than that.  It was quite a ways back, but I saw the bag and crossed the expressway to get it.  Then headed back as fast as I could to get back in the truck so we could get going again.  I was just going to make it in time as it was.  It wasn't busy on the expressway, or we probably wouldn't have stopped to do the rescue of the bag.  We got home and Bill let me out right away.  I grabbed the binoculars and headed to the theatre.  I made it there, and walked in with Jeff and Tina Schrem.  I was happy to run into some I knew to walk with.  Kenzie met me in the lobby and took me up to the third balcony where they were sitting.  We had fun watching the play together.  Peyton and everyone did a great job.  Afterwards, we dropped Kenzie off so she could head home, and then we went to Mooneys for yummy ice cream.  Wish Kenzie would have had time to come with us.  We had such a fun time at the play and at Mooneys.

Friday, 6/10/22,

Lots of opportunities for CMA members to pray for people

Took this picture as soon as I could see the bridge

Bill heading to the movie. They were showing Lion King and having free popcorn
Our 3-13 score sheet and also dice.  I haven't one a single game of 3-13 since we've been camping, but I've still had fun trying

We went early to Mackinaw City.  Hung out at the booth for a while and also walked around. The bike blessing went good.  There weren't as many bikes, because of no ride across the bridge.  The construction on 75 is what caused no ride.  There still was a good turnout and good prayer.  We haded out bike blessing stickers afterward.  I handed out quite a few.  We walked around some more and had opportunities to pray with people.

We came back to the camper and relaxed for a while, then walked around the campground, went to part of the movie and had popcorn and talked with our camping neighbors, then played 3-13 and dice.  Bill won 3-13 and I won dice.  It was a great day!

Nice view across the road while we waited

We walked over in the morning and wished Briggs Happy Birthday and gave him a cool motorcycle toy.  We gave his little sister a bubble blower.  Our nephew, Matt, Sara, Molly and Max came to visit.  We gave each other big hugs and it brought happy tears to me.  We had such a nice time  hanging out and eating lunch together.  Our neighbor her husband’s mom and the 3 kids came over and met Matt and Sara.  Briggs wanted to show us the watch he got for his birthday.  Bill took Molly, Max and Sara for rides on the motorcycle.  We spent almost two hours with them which was just wonderful.  Matt had to get back to work and we had to go set up the CMA booth at Mackinaw City with the Sandusky chapter.  Arnie and Cheryl came and helped and so did Carol Brown and her hubby.  We went through lots of shops.  It rained for about 10 minutes, then the sun came back out.  It was warm when the sun was out.  Pretty windy out today.  We had a nice warm ride back to Gaylord.  We ate at a Mexican restaurant after trying three other ones that Bill couldn’t find anything he liked at.  The pizza place had cheese in the sauce.  We came back and I texted with my sister Brenda (she wanted to come visit today too, but her husband tested positive for COVID a few days ago.  I FaceTimed with Evan and Melissa so he could show us his tent, then FaceTimed with Vikki and Peyton so Peyton could show us her shirt for the play she’s singing in.  Fun day.  At night we heard there is a live shooter on the west side of Saginaw.  Prayed with Melissa for Hailey and Levi to make it home safe.  Hailey has an appointment at U of M in the morning so please pray for good results.  Thank You!
