Friday, 3/10/23, Lots of schools cancelled because of snowstorm, Went to Bible Study, Kimmy, Jacob and Eli came over, Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came over, Bill picked Adam up from school, fun family day

When I backed out of the driveway this morning, I stopped and took a picture.  It was so beautiful with the snow on the bushes!

Pictures Sarah took of our Bible study of James last week.  Middle table is ours.  We look a lot more serious than the other tables.  Joan is on the end with her back turned.

All the schools were closed around us except for Freeland and Midland.  I waited to see if our Bible study would be cancelled but it wasn't.  The roads weren't bad at all.  Only two from our table made it, so we joined another table who had two missing.  It was such a good Bible study and fun to get to know some of the younger ladies in our class.  We had prayer for Joan afterward because she was in tears because her son in law lost his job and just found out today.  He and his wife have a new baby and a 2 year old.  Prayer was good and we are expecting God to provide another job quickly.

After Bible Study, I came home and made goulash.  Peyton and Isaac were here with Papa and they wanted to be my taste testers.  Boy were they good ones.  They were so cute I should have videoed them.  They are the perfect taste testers who give the best compliments and sounds to go with it.  They made me smile.  Vikki got back from picking up a book case and taking it to her house.  Kimmy, Adam and Eli came right after Vikki.  We all ate goulash (except Eli...I made a small pizza for him), then we hung out together and had fun.  Vikki, Kimmy and I went to the fish store (Blue Thumb), and then to Walmart to use the pharmacy card and purchase lots of good stuff.  When we got home Melissa, Jack and Evan came over.  We had fun hanging out and talking. We watched one Ozzie and Harriet show, then played Skyjo with Melissa, Kimmy and Vikki.  Melissa always seems to win this game and won again today.  It was Vikki's first time playing.  Vikki had more goulash and Jack had some goulash.  Kimmy packed hers up and also put some goulash in a container to take home to Jared.  Rody ordered pizza for him, Jack, Eli, Peyton, Isaac and Evan.  The kids are spending the night there.  After everyone left, I ate goulash.  Bill wasn't hungry then, so he just read on his book.  I read on my book afterwards.

Thurs., 3/9/23, Yay, Jacob is accepted into MSU School of Music! Walked 2 miles, cleaned part of the house, Did Bible reading and lesson, Took Bill for neck injection

Peyton and Isaac in their Musical at school.  They did an amazing job.  I was so proud of them.
So cute how Peyton and Isaac looked at each other before the musical started

Peyton getting ready to say her part

Nice seeing the boys when I got home.  Nice seeing their moms and dads too!

Pictures Hailey sent me of her fun time today.  She loved white water rafting.

I walked on the treadmill.  Got my 2 miles in this morning.  Bill mentored Ross this morning. I did some cleaning, Bible reading and my Bible Study lesson.  Kit Kat caught another vole.  Good kitty.  She isn't trying to get up on the windows any more.  Good kitty.

Jacob texted me and told me the great news that he has been accepted into Michigan State University's school of music.  What a great accomplishment.  He has amazing talent, but has also worked very hard to play his clarinet like he does.  I love him so much and am so proud of him and so happy for him.  Way to go Jacob!  Vikki called me around 2:15 to let me know Peyton and Isaac's Musical is tonight at 6.  I am meeting them there at 5:40.  Bill is staying home to rest after his injections.

I drove Bill to his appointment to get injections in his neck at the pain clinic.  I went to Goodwill while he was having the procedure done.  I also went to Bed Bath and Beyond and was so sad to see Store Closing in their window.  Everything was 30-50 percent off.  I talked to a couple of workers and they were very sad too.  I picked up a dish mat   Bill called me and I went to pick him up.  He was only 2 minutes from where I was.

Kimmy called and said they were coming over.  Bruce and Melissa made room in their basement for our ping pong table.  Jack and Evan are so happy to get it.  They love playing, and are becoming pretty good at it.  Bill is getting a different one he wants for us.

I went to meet Vikki.  We got there right about the same time.  The kids did a great job in their musical.  They were so cute moving to the music and doing the motions.  All the kids did a great job and were really doing the motions and singing out nice an loud.

Kimmy, Melissa, Eli and Jack were at our house when I got home.  The boys practiced for their talent show and Melissa, Kimmy, and I (and Vikki by phone) enjoyed visiting.  Bill went with Bruce and Adam to take the ping pong table to Bruce's house.  When they got back, Bruce stayed a few minutes then left to go home and make sure Evan was getting his schoolwork done.  Adam played Skyjo with Kimmy, Melissa and I.  We only played until Jared and Jacob got here.  Jacob had to get home, so I had time to hug him and congratulate him and then they were off.  I left to take Melissa and Jack home.  I thought it was later, but when I looked at the clock in the car it was only 8:30.  Vikki called me when I got home.  She was sitting waiting for the moon to rise so she could see it again.

Wed., 3/8/23, Quiet morning, sunny and in the mid 30's, Dr. Appt. in afternoon,

Loved seeing the sun come up this morning!

Loved reading and working on my Bible Study lesson in the warm sunshine today.  It felt so warm and good.

Daffodils are poking up, yay!

Vikki sent me this picture of the moon when she was driving down state street.  Huge and absolutely amazing.  The heavens and earth declare the glory of God for sure!

I'm loving these beautiful days of sunshine.  I had my oatmeal with blueberries, raisins and bananas.  Had my Starbuck's coffee too.  We got some from Costco at a great price.  Talked to Vikki for a while.  She was worried about Kenzie because she wasn't answering, so she had me pray and wanted me to let her know if I heard from her.  Kenzie did call me and talked to me a long time about her Florida trip.  I was so happy to hear from her.  I had just hung up, when Vikki gave me a call while she was at work saying Kenzie had texted her.  I told her she had just called me.  I got ready for my doctor appt. and left for my yearly skin check.  I got good results again this year.  Never like going to this, but always nice when it's a good report.  Maddy texted me to see how it went.  I didn't realize how funny my visit was until I talked to Maddy.  She had me laughing which she always does and ended by saying that's why we get along so good because we have the same thoughts about stuff like this.  I got some groceries from Meijer, then went to Hobby Lobby and got a corner shelf like Vikki's.  They were half off so it was a super deal.  Vikki has a second shelf like it that she said she would give me.

I picked up sub sandwiches at Subway for our dinner.  Mine tasted so good.  I talked to Melissa for a while.  Jack and Eli are in a talent show at Jack's school Friday, so Melissa let me know it was at 1.  Bill said he could pick up Adam.  I let Kimmy know for Melissa.
I worked my on my Bible Study and lesson.

Vikki called me and told me to look at Venus and Saturn tonight, so I went outside and looked.  A little while later she called and told me to go look at the moon because it was so huge.  I couldn't see it from my house because it was pretty low and all the trees were in the way.  Vikki sent me the pictures above, and it was absolutely amazing.  I am so glad she took pictures!

Tues., 3/7/23, Lots of calls and texts in the morning, Prayer at church in the evening, Kimmy, Vikki, Peyton, Isaac and Evan came over, Jack and Eli's first fencing lesson

Hailey's foot today....she told me it was waaaay better.  Guess it's a good thing I didn't see a picture of it yesterday.

Eli and I after he came back from his first fencing lesson

Jack and Eli at class

I ate oatmeal with fruit and raisins and had my coffee.  Texted with my sister Brenda, texted with Maddy lots, talked to Vikki, did lots of praying and read and did my Bible Study lesson.  I did some filing upstairs that needed to be done.  Charlie had more fluid drained from his lungs.  He wasn't feeling good afterward so didn't meet with Bill this morning.  Praying for him.  Bill and I worked on an application for CMA he needed to be emailed in.
It was a beautiful sunny day in the high 30's.  I read some on my book and worked on my mentoring lesson for next week.

In the evening, I went to prayer.  Great worship and prayer time.   Kimmy, Vikki, Evan, Peyton and Isaac came and waited here while the boys were at their first fencing lesson.  Melissa stayed to watch the kids at class.  Good thing.  She took pictures and videos which the guys didn't seem to think about doing.  Melissa picked up Jack and had to get him home to finish his homework.  Jared and Eli came and Jared was very patient waiting for Kimmy.  I showed Kimmy a long tear in the bedspread upstairs and was getting her opinion on how to fix it because there were so many layers.  She insisted on me getting the pins out and she pinned it.  Then she wanted to sew it on my machine right away too.  She did an amazing job.  She had to sew part of it by hand that couldn't be done on the machine.  It looks so good and you can't even tell it was torn at the seam.  Thank you Kimmy.  Jared was funny and was picking on me, but he said I should be able to tell he likes me because that why you pick on people.  Ha Ha, he is funny and sweet all at the same time.  Such a wonderful patient son (in law).
Bill and I watched several Ozzie and Harriet episodes.  I sure did laugh.

Monday, 3/6/23, Donuts with Jack and Evan, Started mentoring Maddy, Nana time with Peyton, Went to Trinity Rider's chapter meeting

Pictures Hailey sent me of her on spring break

Hailey texted me at midnight and told me she sprained her ankle.  Yikes, poor girl.  I had just gotten to bed, read the text when it came and then got up so I could find out how she was doing, how she did it, and some other info.  I sure love this girl and am praying for God to heal it super fast.

Me and Peyton with our Shamrock Shakes with Oreos
My sweet Peyton.  So glad she likes Nana time.  I love my Peyton time.

We got up early, picked Jack and Evan up and took them to their school for Donuts with friends day.  The donuts were yummy and the coffee was good.  Spending time with the boys was even better.  I can't believe I forgot to take a picture.  Bummer!  They were so nice and well mannered.  Jack got Papa's second cup of coffee for him.  Evan couldn't decide if he wanted a second donut, but then decided he didn't.  These boys are growing up fast and are so kind and thoughtful.  We left there and went home.  Bill left to go meet Rich and I went to pick up Maddy to go to the Red Eye, a coffee shop, for our first mentoring session.  We shared our testimonies of how we were born again and some awesome things God has done in our lives.  Next week we will start our discipleship book.  I am so excited to be doing this together and so is Maddy.  We went to Old Town for coney dogs afterward.

Hailey sent me some more pictures which I love getting.  She's having fun and hiking even though her foot hurts more when she gets back.  It is more black and blue today she said.  I'm continuing to pray.  The nurse there wrapped it really good for her.

Did my Bible reading and Bible Study.  Read on my book called Holy Moments too.  It's really good so far.  Bill had an egg salad sandwich when he got home.  I thought about going to Vikki's when she got out of work.  When she picked the kids up, Peyton called and wanted some nana time.  She wanted to go get Shamrock shakes, so that's where we went.  We had to wait a while for them to come.  The girl in front of us looked familiar, so I asked her if she was Madelyn and she told me she was.  We talked about Hailey's trip and her sprained ankle, and about her brother, Ben's spring break trip to Florida.  She was getting Shamrock shakes for her and her younger brother.  I felt bad that she was there first and we got our shakes first.  Then she got hers super fast after us, so I was happy about that. Peyton and I had fun talking together and our shakes were really good.   I took Peyton home and then headed back home, so I could warm spaghetti up for Bill before we left for Trinity Rider's meeting.

The meeting was really good.  It was nice seeing Jim and Bev from Flint and Arnie and Cheryl.  Bill and I just had coffee there instead of eating.  Their prices have gone up crazy and we really don't like the food there that much.  It's at Ponderosa.

We came home and I watched yesterdays church service online since I couldn't be in the service.  It was awesome and touching.
