Thurs., 3/7/24, We got the drop in stove out, vent over the stove out too. Cleaned and ready for guy to come work this afternoon,

Stove is out
Vent is out and cupboard doors are off
I texted with my friend Gayla who is in Florida and she sent me this picture of her by the orange tree.  She said they smell amazing!

A couple of memories came up of us in Florida with Wes and Gayla.  We were outside by. the fire pit at night eating strawberry shortcake.  Wonderful memory!

Me and my sweet Peyton
Such a beautiful happy granddaughter

I got up at 8 and got ready.  Had my oatmeal and cappuccino for breakfast.  We read our Bibles and devotionals, than we worked on getting the stove vent out.  One bolt was a little stubborn, but after prayer and Bill’s hard work, it came out.  After that, we got the stove out.  I cleaned everything good once they were out.  Bill took off the cupboard doors of the two cabinets we are replacing.  We will use them on the new cabinets so they match our other ones.

I did some research on a Caphilon roaster I have had for a while and it looks like I will be making a turkey in it for Thanksgiving.  Lots of great reviews and they say, it’s so easy to make the gravy afterwards because of the big rack.

Kevin was supposed to get here at 4:30, but called and said he was going to be late.  Vikki and Peyton came over to be here because Bill and I had to go to a fundraising dinner for The Rock, a wonderful program that goes into schools and helps youth and teaches them to be respectful, confident, giving, responsible young people.  It was amazing to see all of these youth serving us, speaking and sharing what The Rock has meant in their lives.  Kevin didn’t show up til after 8. We got home before he came.  He had a blowout on his trailer.  He looked at everything and is going to pick up what he needs for the electrical tomorrow.  He is also going to take our cupboards to his shop and see if he can just cut them down to the size we need, so we can take the ones we bought back.  The ones we have are solid birch and he wants to try to save them.  We were happy about that.  He is coming tomorrow at noon and will do the electrical and then put our stove and microwave in.

Kimmy is coming in the morning, and she, Melissa and I are going to Walmart to get our over the counter stuff. I think Vikki is coming after she gets out of work too.  Looking forward to another day to hang out together.

Wed., 3/6/24, Went to Donuts with a friend with Evan, Cleaned the last cupboard out, wiped everything down good, ready for stove installation tomorrow, Bill spent the afternoon with Max

I was so happy to see Ally at donuts with friends and her brother Daniel.  I took a picture of them and then forgot to take one of Evan and I.  I quickly walked down the hall trying to catch up with him.  I finally did and got a quick selfie with him.  He makes me look short!

The blossoms are opening quickly this time.  Still have a couple of tiny buds that might make it to Easter, but I don’t think these ones will hang on that long

Yay!  I have a couple of buds on my Crown of Thorns plant.  I have been waiting for this to happen.

Every thing cleaned and ready for this stove to come out, new stove, microwave and new cupboards to go in.  Getting excited now!
Sunny and nice out so went to Old Town Drive in for coney dogs, fries and root beer

A delicious frosty Root Beer
We went through the carwash and at the end I looked in the mirror on the side wall and decided to take a picture.  Bill leaned forward to see what I was taking a picture I and I got him in the picture too lol.

When we got home I saw two Robins!  Yay!  I love it when Robins show up!

I got up at 5:45 this morning and got ready.  Picked Evan up at 7:20 and headed to his school.  We got in line and got our juice and donut, then found a table.  His friend Adam, his mom and brother Ryan came and sat with us.  They were so nice.  I looked around and saw Ally and Daniel.  I was so happy to see her.  I went and took a picture of them, then hugged them and talked for a few minutes.  Then I went back to our table and finished drinking my juice.  When Evan had to go to his class, we said goodbye and hugged.  I started going out the door, but remembered I hadn’t take a picture of us.  I went down the hall pretty fast and then saw him, so called his name.  I passed Ginny and said hi to her, then took a quick picture with Evan.  Bummer I didn’t get us while we were enjoying our donuts.

When I got home, I read my Bible and devotion.  Then I cleaned the last cupboard that I needed to have empty by tomorrow.  Bill called the guy this morning to check and make sure he was coming.  He told us he was.  Yay!

I watered my plants and noticed buds coming on my Crown of Thorns.  I haven’t had buds since the year I got it.  Can’t wait til they open out.  It was chilly this morning, but now it it 42 and sunny out, so it’s pretty nice for this time of year.

Bill picked Max up and took him to Field and Stream to spend time together. I’m sure Max is going to be very happy.  Bill forgot he had a dentist appt. in the afternoon so, he called me to see if I could take Max home for him after they got here from Field and Stream so he could take a shower before going to his appt.  I said yes of course.  I drove Max home and heard all about the fun they had and the yummy cookies and donuts they had at Cops and Donuts.  I asked him if he ate anything good for him, and he said no.  I offered to take him somewhere to get something, but he wasn’t hungry.  Bill told me later he offered to take him to eat too, but he wasn’t hungry.  I guess it must have been all those yummy cookies to blame.  I dropped him off, then came home.  Bill was ready and asked if I wanted to go along to his appointment with him.  I did.  We decided to use our coupon for Old Town Drive In since it was sunny and nice out.  It was delicious as always.  We went through the car wash after that, then got gas at Sam’s Club.  It was only 6 cents cheaper than another station we passed.  Not much off.  Usually it’s around 30 cents cheaper.  We came home and I was face timing with Vikki when I saw a couple of Robins.  I sure got excited!  It made my day!

Hailey doing a hand stand with some help

We got ready and I drove Bill to his appointment at the pain clinic.  I waited in the waiting room.  It didn’t take too long because he chose not to be sedated.  He’s not like me....I’m like sedate me please!!!  We came home afterward and I emptied cupboards that need to be replaced Thurs.  Bill met Charlie for coffee.

Vikki found out Friday at her doctor appt. that she has Type 2 Diabetes.  She has been in lots of pain and has had numbness and tingling.  She made a doctor appt. and it got cancelled twice, but last Friday she was able to go.  The doctor ordered blood tests and also put her on a strong medicine to bring it under control quickly, then will also have her take regular medication for it.  Vikki was amazed that she felt so much better last night after taking it at 3 p.m.  Then today, more of her symptoms are gone and others better.  She was so happy and I was so happy too.  I sure love my Vikki!  She is being careful to do what they tell her and meets with a dietitian Thursday.  Rody is going with her and is going to follow the same diet with her which is so sweet.  He wants to lose some weight.  I am sure thanking the Lord that she went and got checked out.  She hasn’t been feeling good for a long time.  She said she was smiling lots today because she feels so much better.

Hailey sent me more pictures.  I’m so glad she does that so I can enjoy her trip with her.  She is having lots of fun.  I am happy to see all of her pictures.

Kenzie called me because she couldn’t log into FaceBook.  I had been on earlier, but tried again and I couldn’t log in either.  We found out it was a global problem.  I talked to Melissa and Bruce couldn’t pick up her Facebook Market Place deal because he couldn’t get on to get the address for a porch pick up.  He got on later too.  It was cooler today and misting pretty much all day.  It said it got up to 60, but it sure didn’t feel like it.

I talked with Debbie today.  She said she is still in shock and very thankful for prayers.
She said they caught it early, so I am very thankful for that.

I went to intercessory prayer in the evening.  We worshipped first.  Then we prayed over Francis and Daryl who are involved with Forgotten Child Ministries.  It was an awesome time of prayer.  We prayed for others in our church who need prayer after that.

I came home and worked on the blog, then listened to Pastor Ken’s message from Sunday.  It was amazing!

Monday, 3/4/24, Assisted Bill with new light in our room, went to lunch with Max and Melissa, weeded lots outside, Gene helped Bill finish the light installment, I relaxed on the deck, I weeded more,,

Hailey by the ocean on her trip.  She is with her Christian Unite Group.
My beautiful Hailey Girl!
Lots of pictures with friends

Hailey loves sunsets, so I know she loved this one
Great Niece..Linda
Baby Linda...She looks just my sister Linda, her great grandma when she was a baby
Linda and her mommy
Melissa took this selfie...she had a little problem getting us all in.  We had a good laugh at how she was trying.
Our waiter took this picture..at first I thought it was one Melissa took and cut herself out.  Then I noticed both of her hands are in the picture.  She was joking about each of us sending the waiter back for a pop at different times, than breadsticks....I guess he fixed her lol.  He didn’t really hear her though.  He did comment that he couldn’t get us all in when he held the camera the long way.
Finally a successful picture....We sure had fun
Max loved his spaghetti, infinite salad and infinite breadsticks
First time I’ve had blossoms on my Lenten Rose.  Yay!
Kit Kat enjoyed laying on the chair next to me when I sat on the deck.  She sat on my lap part of the time.
Our new ceiling fan light...Great job putting it up Bill.  Our other one could only have 40 watt lights in it and didn’t light up our room well.  I love this one!
Nice to be able to dim it too.

Got up to 70 degrees and was sunny today. I ate my usual breakfast, but had a protein drink instead of coffee this morning.  I did laundry, then Bill wanted me to hold the flashlight, so he could see to put the new light and ceiling fan up.  He had to do some cutting for the fixture to fit.  Melissa, Max and I went to Olive Garden for lunch at 1.  Bill did the cutting of the spot on the ceiling while I was gone.  I wanted him to wait.  He did a great job.  He consulted our friend, Gene, who goes to church with us and is an electrician, to see how to get the part from the old one out.  It wouldn’t come out with Bill just pulling on it.

Melissa, Max and I sure had a fun time at the Olive Garden.  Melissa taking selfies was a hoot.  We had lots of laughs.  Our food was delicious and we sure ate the breadsticks.  They had salad and I had soup too.  We were all stuffed when we left there.

Bill had the light ready to go up when I got home.  Gene stopped over and assisted a little because they didn’t color code the wires like they usually do.  They figured it out together though.  It is so nice to have up and works so well.  I am happy to be able to have a bright bedroom if I need it or a dim one.  Love having a remote to the light and fan too.

Got some sad news tonight.  Bill’s sister, Debbie, has uterine cancer.  She will have surgery in a couple of weeks.  We are all praying and appreciate others prayers.
