Bill left at 8 in the morning to go back for his VA appointment.  I got up around 9 and decided to go outdoors and let the girls sleep.  I ate some cereal while I was out there.  It started thundering in the distance, so I looked at the weather and saw a thunderstorm was heading our way.  I put chairs away, packed up my hammock and put it in the camper, put Kenzie’s new chair in the camper, then took their suits and towels off the line so they wouldn’t get soaked.  I put the awning in and the storm hit right afterwards.  It rained very hard and thundered but nothing severe.  I had the girls get up and take care of their beds.  It stopped raining shortly after that.  The girls decided to go swimming in the indoor pool.  They walked there and got in the pool.  The water was so warm and no one else was in the pool, so they called me to come swim with them.  I walked there and was ready for a swim since it was getting hot and muggy out.  We had fun swimming there, then decided to go to the outdoor pool.  There were only two other people in it.  We swam and had a couple of races.  It was close but both girls beat me by a foot.  We stayed in quite a while, then they went in the hot tub. It was way to hot for me.  We came back to the camper and hung out.  Bill got here and relaxed for a while, then we all went to Fergie's for lunch. It was such good pizza!  The girls went for a couple rides around the campground, then came back and packed up their stuff and left.  They were so much fun to have here.  We had a couple more thunderstorms with just heavy rain.  We had everything packed up except one chair got wet.  We came in and played 3-13.  We must have both been tired because we kept forgetting what was wild.  I won by a lot.  We played dice after that and were pretty close the entire game.  I ended up getting 10,000 first and beat him.

We went to Faith Alive Church.  They had asked Isaac to do the lyrics for music for the 7th when he went last week.  He went right in early by himself to get ready.  The service was amazing.  Isaac did a great job and the Pastors message was really good.

We came back to the camper and Vikki and I made up the 7 hobo dinners.  I put them on the grill and Vikki cleaned up the kitchen.  I decided to cook the 5 additional minutes on each side, because Bill likes his crispy.  Well, the timer went off just as Marie, Roy and Bill got here.  They picked him up for me so I wouldn’t have to make a trip home to get him.  They had called to see if  they could come up for the day.  Well, I won’t do 5 minutes extra again.  Some of the potatoes and carrots burned and a couple of the burgers.  Peyton and Roy said theirs wasn’t burned. Marie brought homemade apple pies and they picked up ice cream.  It was so delicious.  She left one pie here for us.  We had a wonderful time sitting outside and visiting.  It was a beautiful day out with a little breeze.  Kenzie and Rehvyn came to spend the day and stay overnight.  Vikki, Kenzie, Peyton and Rehvyn went swimming.  Rehvyn loved swimming.  He stayed in a long time before he wanted to be done.  He was so cute and smiley.  I took pics and videos instead of swimming.  We got back to the camper and Vikki, Rehvyn and Isaac left to go home.  Kenzie and Peyton went on bike rides, then made s’mores over the campfire I made for them.  Bill and I had more our instead of s’mores.  The four of us played dice.  Then we got ready and went to bed.  It was such a fun day!

I slept in, then ate breakfast and had my coffee.  Played worship music.  Read my Bible and did my devotion on prayer. Such life changing devotions from Scripture!!!
I went to see the crafts and vendors in the clubhouse and around the campground at different campsites.  Bought a few things.  Marie called and she and Roy are coming up to visit after church tomorrow.
Relaxed in the hammock a while.  Made hamburger patties and chopped onions for tomorrow’s hobo dinners.
Talked to Bill lots.  He sure is working hard at home!  He sent me pictures. I cut up potatoes for tomorrow’s hobo dinners.  Vikki and the kids can back up after the party for Ann was done.  They all had a nice time.  The kids went on their bikes right away. Vikki and I made a campfire.  When the kids got back, we roasted marshmallows and made s’mores.  Then Peyton was hungry and Vikki was cold so we came inside.  We played dice, then when the fireworks started, the kids went outside to watch for a while.  Peyton said she had the best view from the picnic table lol.  We finished our game after that and I won.

Friday, July 5, 2024

Friday, 7/5/24, Vikki and the kids went home, I went home for the day, Nice to spend the day with Bill, garden hoed, birds fed, to Souper cafe for dinner, then Menards. Put gas in at Sam’s Club then back up north to camper

When I got home, I saw Bill out hoeing the garden.
Flowers and plants look good at home

Vikki started packing laundry and stuff to take home.  I packed laundry and things I needed for the day, plus the clam and some other things we won’t be needing til the next camping trip at the end of the month.  Vikki, Peyton and Isaac went to leave and her car wouldn’t start. She FaceTimed Rody and he had her scrape the corrosion off her battery.  We were going to charge it off my Prius, but then Vikki thought of the motor home that was right in front of her car.  She FaceTimed Bill and he said we could charge it off that.  It started right away once I started the motor home.  Yay.  Then her trunk wouldn’t close which is probably why the battery died.  She made it home safely and Rody ordered a new latch.  I left shortly after she did.  When I got home I saw Bill out how other garden. I got my muck boots on and went out to hoe.  He had it half done and looked very tired.  He had tilled the small garden and part of the big one.  I told him to go in and get a drink and rest and I would do the rows that were left.  It was very hot out, so I was really thirst and tired when I finished.  I picked some radishes and sprayed them with the hose, then walked around and looked at where the stumps were ground of the big bushes that were taken out.  I went in and started my laundry, then got some ice water and relaxed with Bill in our recliners for 20 minutes.  We decided we needed a date night, so put that in our plans for the evening,  after my rest, I made hummingbird food and then went out and filled all the feeders.  I had to fix my bubbler in the pond and found the hose attached to the solar screen was disconnected.  I fed my fish and they sure were happy.  The pool looked great and nice and clear.  I added more chlorine tablets to the floater.  Bill has been working on the CMA State Rally and has a really good flyer made up and the schedule and  speakers, singers etc. all lined up.  With all that to do, he sure kept everything up for me outside and in the house.

I took a shower and dried my hair, then we headed to Old Town Drive in to get coney dogs. It’s one of our favorite places.  It was closed for the weekend because of the Fourth of July, so we went to another favorite place, Souper Cafe for sandwiches and soup.  My punch card was full so we got one soup free.  After we ate we went to Menards. When we got home, we could see a storm coming.  Bill said if I left I could probably stay ahead of it.  I was on the edge of the storm for half the way there, but only got heavy rain, no hail or high winds like other places.  Some places where I couldn’t see real far ahead had me going 25 miles an hour.  I was happy when I got to Pinconning and it got bright out and was clear out.  I called Bill to let him know I was at the camper safely.  Vikki called to check on me when I was almost here so I let her know too. I did my blog, ate a piece of left over pizza and now am going to read the Bible and my devotional and spend time with the Lord.  Excited to do that!
