Worship looks like it was awesome
Kimmy and Arnie came and hung out in the morning. We visited together, then talked to Vikki for a while. Arnie still drools while riding here, but he sure is a great dog here. He loves his toys and plays so good with them. Kimmy and I went for a walk around the yard. Bill asked if we would pick up the sticks while we were out there. There were tons of them from all the wind we have had. I told him I didn’t think it would be good for my surgical eye if I kept bending over and straightening up. Also picking up piles of leaves with sticks would probably get dirt in my eye. I don’t want to do anything to have a set back where my eye is doing so good. Kimmy wanted to do it, but it certainly was too big of a job for one person. She headed for the shed, but I wouldn’t let her do it. We came inside. Melissa came over and brought Wookie. Arnie was so excited to see Wookie again. He tried chasing and jumping on him, but Kimmy had the leash so didn’t let him get to wild. He got used to him and then after that, both dogs took naps. They do that every week. They are so cute and funny. Kimmy had to leave to go home. Jared was picking Eli up early, then they were bringing him and dropping him off at Vikki’s to go to the Christian Youth Conference. Kimmy and Jared came here afterwards and said they were having a date night and they were going to do our yard together as part of it, before going out to eat and to the Fish Store. I didn’t want them too, but they insisted. When Melissa left, she said she would bring Evan back with her after picking him up at school and he could help. She did that and she helped too. I tried helping put the sticks and leaves on the fire, but the first time I did I could tell it was too much dirt even with glasses on. I came in the house and made spaghetti for everyone. It didn’t take them long and they had it looking nice and finished.
Kimmy and Jared didn’t eat any spaghetti, because they were going to Chic Fil A. I did have them pack some up to take home for another meal the next day. After they left, Melissa, Evan and I ate. Evan loved the spaghetti, especially because it had lots of meat in it. He cleared the whole table and then rinsed off the dishes. So sweet of him. Bill called really excited because he found out I could come to the concert because it wasn’t just for veterans. He had a ticket for me that they gave him. He wanted me to find someone to take me down there. I don’t want to ask anyone, but Melissa called Bruce and he said he would drive me. That was so nice. I really wanted to go just because Bill was so excited to have me with him. Melissa drove me to her house and then Bruce made everyone who wanted coffees one, then we went to Kroger and he got gas and then we were one our way. He dropped me off close to the theater and I talked to Bill while I crossed the street to get to the theater. He gave me directions to come to the door where he was waiting. He gave me a great big hug when I got to him. Then they checked my purse and used a wand to wave around me. They gave me a VI P tag to wear around my neck and we went down to where we had pop and snacks. When the concert was about ready to start we went upstairs and into the theater. It was a beautiful theater. The concert started and it was a rock kind of concert. We couldn’t understand the words and it wasn’t our type of music, but was nice they were honoring Bill and all the veterans with free tickets. They played the Locomotion and we knew that song. Then for the last song they called the 5 veterans up to the stage. Bill started walking and after he left, I decided I would see how close I could get to the stage. Lots of people were standing right up by the stage. I got a spot right at the opposite side of the stage he was on and leaned on the stage while taking a video. I was happy to get so close, because I knew it would make Bill happy to have a good video. They sang I’m Your Captain, which was a song lots of Veterans liked back during the Vietnam War. The end says I’m getting closer to my Home. It’s a 9+ minute video, so I didn’t post it, but may go back and post a sort part of it tomorrow. We left after that, and they brought our Jeep to us. It was a nice ride home, especially because car lights don’t bother me anymore since my surgery. No more glare. Yay! I talked to Melissa and they stopped on their way home at the Pot Belly Pig restaurant for a date night. The three of them love the subs there. I know Jacob loves the one in Lansing. I was happy to hear they made it a fun night. I sure appreciated the ride. I looked at videos and pictures Eli sent me and Isaac sent Vikki when I got home. I could tell from Eli’s message he was having a great time and his heart was really being touched by the Holy Spirit. Nothing makes me happier. Peyton and Isaac’s hearts were being touched too. I can’t wait to take to them in person. What a fun night, and how touching that Bill wanted me to come be with him so badly. I love my family and my family loves me. Thank you again Kimmy, Jared, Evan and Melissa for cleaning up the yard for us.
