Friday, 3/27/26, Kimmy, Vikki, Melissa, Hailey and Evan came over. The girls each brought their dogs, Used Panini maker for the first time, Took Hailey to Barb’s to have 2 bridesmaids dresses altered, Big change in eyes while driving,

Arnie sitting nicely and Lucy laying down in the background
A couple of beautiful cardinals kept coming to the feeder
This Panini maker the girls got me works so good.  Vikki taught me how to make the sandwiches she loves on it today for our lunch.
For dinner I made Bill and I sandwiches.  I made his with just turkey, bacon, and onion, and grilled it without butter on it.  It turned out great.  I made mine the way Vikki did today.
Jack came over to my car to say hi when I picked up Hailey tonight.  I was very happy to see him.
Hailey bringing her two bridesmaids dresses with her to go to my friend Barb’s with me to get alterations done.

I got up early and did some cleaning in the bathroom and then vacuumed the downstairs.  I’m seeing clearer out of my left eye today.  It still has a ways to go though.  Kimmy and Arnie got here first.  We drank our coffee and waited til Vikki got her to have our cinnamon muffin. Vikki and  Lucy got here shortly after.   We drank our coffee and ate our muffins.  Then we moved into the family room to get nice and comfy.  Arnie was sure happy to see Lucy and chased her around.  She let him know she had enough and he calmed down.  He’s a puppy and wants to play and she is older and doesn’t want to play that hard.  Vikki got a nap in, and Kimmy and I kept visiting and she held Arnie and I held Lucy.  They are nice dogs to cuddle.  When Melissa called to say she would be over around 1:15, Vikki made our grilled sandwiches with Jack’s off the bone turkey, bacon, cheese, onions and green pepper.  Then when they were nice and brown, we added lettuce and ranch dressing.  I had made brownies which Bill brought home from the store today when he picked up the bacon for me. I ended up having to use a box I had picked up because it was family size and the other was only 8 x 8.

Melissa, Hailey, Evan and Wookie came over after they dropped Jack off for Play practice.  Hailey and Evan were full, but Melissa wanted a sandwich.  Wookie started chasing Lucy.  Each dog chased the dog they liked, even though the dog they picked, didn’t seem to like them.  It was so funny.  Eventually they all relaxed around each other.  They played with toys, did tricks for treats and were well behaved.  We have great dogs in our family.
I kept checking my eye throughout the day and it improved lots.  It finally seems almost as good as my other one which is 20/20 now.  Melissa, Hailey and Evan and Wookie had to leave.  Shortly after, Vikki had to leave to go get the kids.  She was going to come back afterwards, but ended up not coming, because Kimmy wanted to go visit Jared’s parents this weekend to have them meet Arnie Bentley while he is still a puppy.  She called Jared and he wanted to go too.  I am so happy they are going because Lela and Doug will love Arnie when they see how cute he is and how he leaps so nicely and behaves so well.  He is a great dog. I know Doug will be spoiling him like he did Wyatt.  They will have great family time and hopefully they remembered the Donkey game to teach them.

We read our Bibles and did our devotions/prayer books.  I love reading the book of Acts.  I read two chapters for my reading schedule today.

I made Bill and I sandwiches for dinner.  At 6:30, I left to go pick Hailey up to take her to Barb’s and get her fitted so Barb could alter the bridesmaids dresses for her. On my way to Hailey’s, I realized I could see my odometer and mph information really clear.  I haven’t been able to see it in the day time for quite a while unless I stop and move my head just right.  I thought there was something wrong with it, but the problem was my eyes.  Also when I put my sunglasses on, I could see very clear to read the signs and even see my phone clear through them.  I used to have to take them off to read.  The last thing I noticed was I was driving toward the sun and it didn’t bother my eyes.  I was at the point where I had to hold my hand in front of my face to block the sun.  What amazing differences I am noticing.  We got to Barb’s house and while they did measurements and stuff, I visited with Ron in the living room.  I took time to go see the dresses on Hailey though.  She looked beautiful in them.  Barb just had cataract surgery a few weeks before me and is now starting to see really clear.  She had some problems with floaties and her eyes clearing up.  I am thankful because she needs to see clear to do everything she does.  She is such a blessing to everyone.  I let her know I got out of jury duty today.  She got the same letter with the same dates as me, but since she’s in her 60’s, she has to go.  I called Bill when we left there, so he could meet me at Meijer and get gas for $1 off.  I dropped Hailey off on the way.  We got to Meijer at the same time and he filled my car first, then filled his Jeep.  We came home and had red jello with fruit in it for a snack.

I called Kimmy to see how far they were.  She told me Jacob couldn’t go with them because he has a sore throat.  Bummer.  Bill and I told the boys hi!  Jacob told me they were by Coldwater River.  I told him all the rivers had Coldwater in them right now.  Then they got into Indiana and he started singing a song Gomer Piles used to sing.  They were playing the alphabet game but paused while Kimmy talked to me.  Then Kimmy saw a J and tried to take it.  Jared was having none of that.  They were so funny and having so much fun.

I called Marie after that and talked for a while to see how they were and to let her know how my second surgery went.  My eye is really clear now.  It’s amazing because I can read my Bible with no glasses and it isn’t even large print.  Thank You God for Blessing me.
