My alarm went off this morning and instead or playing music, it sounded like a telephone ring. I turned it off. When we got up it was 8:45. I had set my alarm so we could call Eli before he went to school. I couldn’t figure out why I turned my alarm off until I remembered it sounded like a phone call. I texted Eli right away to tell him happy Birthday and let him know what happened and to let him know we would call at 10:30. I ate cereal for breakfast. Bill was already reading his Bible. I started reading my Bible after breakfast.
I called Kimmy and let her know what happened and she said Eli was getting out of school at 10:30 so to call after that. We called Eli and sang Happy Birthday to him and wished him a happy birthday. He told us what he got for his birthday. He sure was blessed. Kimmy asked us if we wanted to meet them at Culver’s at noon and eat lunch there for Eli’s birthday. Of course we did. I finished reading my Bible and prayer books, then it was time to leave to go meet Kimmy and family at Culver’s. We loved that Adam was able to come too. We gave hugs to the birthday boy outside and wished him an in person Happy Birthday. We gave big hugs to Adam too. I saw Jacob and Kelly and talked to them for a minute. We were happy to get the corner booth and ate and enjoyed our food and fun visit. We got Sundaes afterward. Our waitress kept telling Eli he could just go up and get his free birthday sundae. He ended up being too full, so he went up with me and got his for Papa and I got a hot fudge sundae too. We all hugged goodbye and then we headed to Diane’s to take her to get her driver’s license. It was suspended because she fell and broke both legs a couple of years ago and is just getting where she can drive now. We prayed on our way to her house that she would pass. Bill drove her vehicle to a church and she practiced in the parking lot. She did really good. She still had her driving skills. She is in her 80’s. We waited while she took her test and she came in and went back to the back room with the guy who gave her the driving test. She texted me and let me know she passed. We were all hugging and rejoicing and thanking God. This gives her her independence back. She is taking us and her son and his aide to Olive Garden tomorrow to celebrate. It will be a happy celebration.
I talked to Laicey on our way home. Her puppy was playing and she wanted me to see him. Her little brothers age 5 and 6 were playing with the puppy too.
We watched some news. I boiled some eggs and we had a couple of eggs for dinner. We weren’t very hungry after eating at Culver’s. I texted with my friend Vikki from Grand Haven. We set up days that we can possible get together for our birthdays if the weather cooperates for her to drive here. Will get more specific as it gets closer. Worked on my blog.
