We got ready, then went to our first church service. I saw my friend, Linda, sitting in the back of the church. I asked her why she wasn’t sitting with her family and she told me she had congestive heart disease. She didn’t like to walk out coughing and disturb people, so she was sitting close to the door. I prayed for her before I went to my seat. It was nice having J.W. Ruff there with his kids Savanah and Jackson. He is our new pastor who will be coming in August. They used to come to our church and moved away 14 years ago. He used to play on the worship team, and played his guitar today on our worship team. So happy to have them back. His wife Sarah couldn’t make it this trip. She is a doctor and has a busy schedule. Worship was awesome today and the Holy Spirit moved and people came up for prayer during worship. I prayed for Ruth. Pastor gave an awesome message today too. We had to leave right away after service, so didn’t get to go up and pray afterwards. We had 20 minutes to get to Maddy’s church for Chandler’s baby dedication. We made it with 5 minutes to spare. We talked to Maddy’s family for a few minutes before service and also talked to our friend, Ron and another friend Miles. It was a very nice service. Afterwards, we visited more and then when we left, Bill drove me to the door and I gave Maddy the baby’s gift.
We came home and relaxed for a few minutes. Then I packed us each a Belvita snack to eat on the way to hold us over. We had our coffees to drink too. It was another beautiful day for a drive. We went to the Wrought Iron Grill in Owosso. It was a little pricey, but the food was delicious and it was a great place for our meeting....quite so we could hear one another. Bev, Ron, Sue, Doug, Debbie, Paul, Bill and I all met to start planning our State Rally for Sept. There are a lot of new fun ideas to add to the agenda so it was exciting to make new plans. We were there for 2 hours. We hugged and said our goodbyes, then left for home. I called Kenzie to see if they were home so we could stop over, but they were down by Travis’s sisters getting their taxes done. We talked for a few minutes so Kenzie cold let me know what was going on for Easter.
It was a great ride home. Sunny and 57 degrees out today with no wind. When we got home, Bill took a nap. I watered my plants and fed my fish in the basement. I went for a nice walk outside. Things are growing nicely. Looks like we will be getting lots of rain this week, so more growing will happen.
Bill woke up and we read our Bibles, prayer books/devotionals. Then we had hot fudge sundaes with bananas. YUM! I finished my blog, then was ready for bed.
