Wed., 3/25/26, Left Eye cataract surgery at 9:30 at Anderson Eye, breakfast at Leo’s, nap, church worship service at Vikki’s church

Flower garden is finally drying up so I can start working in it soon
The daffodils round the house are starting to grow faster now
I made a cappuccino today with my Keurig
Candles came today for the lanterns
Eli, Peyton, Kailee, Morgan, Isaac, Jordan and I’m not sure who the kid on the end is

Got up at 6:05 and took my shower with antibiotic soap, got ready and then Bill and I left at 7:40 to go to my eye surgery appt.  Check in was quick, then went to pre op and they took my vitals and then got me ready for surgery.  My favorite thing, was when she brought me a warm blanket and said she picked out the warmest one.  It felt so comfy.  They put lots of eye drops in for numbing, put IV in incase needed.  The doctor came in to say hi, and had William with him who was observing today.  It took about an hour, to get ready, then they took me back to surgery.  They washed my eye out with soap, this eye stung a little after that, but not too bad.  My other eye didn’t sting at all when they did it last week.  They put more numbing drops in and also drops so I wouldn’t blink.  Then they taped a shield on my face, with an eye hole for the doctor to work through.  They also stuck monitors on me.  They gave me oxygen during surgery.  The doctor and William came in and Dr. Hazen started working on my eye.  He let me know what he was doing as he did it.  It was really quick again.  He said it went really well.  Then the girls wheeled me back to pre op/recovery where Bill was waiting for me.  They gave me apple juice and a breakfast bar.  Then they took my IV out and after 15 minutes there, the girl walked me out to where Bill had pulled up with the Jeep.

Bill drove to Leo’s and we had a nice breakfast.  Bill had eggs and pancakes and I had a vegetable omelette, hash browns which I shared with Bill, and  toast.  It was so good.
I took half home to eat later.  He dropped me off at home, then he went to Menards to take something back.  He asked me if I wanted to go, but I just wanted to take a nap at home.  This eye felt like something was in it, longer than the other eye.  After my nap, it was all better.  My eye took longer to clear up from being blurry this time too.  Maddy called me to let me know she got a friend request from me and could tell it wasn’t me.  Angie, Bill’s sister, supposedly sent us something earlier, but we could tell it wasn’t from her and was a scam.  Bummer, I got hacked from that even though I didn’t click on it.. I changed my password.  Later Bill had to change his password too.

I made some Campbells chicken noodle soup and Bill made it better with his special noodles for dinner.   I ate the rest of my omelette and just had a small bowl of soup.  After dinner, Vikki came with Peyton and Morgan to pick me up and take me to their worship service at church.  The kids were going to youth group.  Kimmy and Jared brought Eli there to go to youth group too.  It was nice seeing them even though Jared pulled up very close next to Vikki’s car.  They were going to walk Arnie around some stores.  Worship service was awesome and you could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit.  The pastor gave a short message after worship, then we worshipped more.  I met the pastor’s wife and talked to some friends of mine who were there.  We waited for the kids to hang out with friends after youth group was done.  Kimmy and Jared gave me a ride home, since they were going my way.  It was nice getting to spend a little time with them.  Eli came in for a second at my house and went to the bathroom.  I offered him a pop, but he wanted to take a water with him instead.  I worked on my blog after that.
