12/2/08 HAILEY ADOPTED HER BABY DOLL TODAY

Today was a very special day for us. Melissa, Hailey, Jack, Kimmy and I went to let Hailey adopt her baby. She picked out the baby she wanted from all the babies in the bassinets. She had to put a hospital gown on before picking her baby out. The baby nurse asked her some questions which she answered. She was so serious and sweet. She signed for her baby and then her mommy had to sign as a witness. The form was then stamped approved. Then she and the nurse checked the baby all over and weighed and measured the baby. The baby even got a hospital bracelet. Jack gave us background crying at just the right time. He was happy most of the time, but had gotten to warm.
Kimmy videoed the whole thing so it will always be a special memory in our hearts.
Hailey was just so super special. I know that baby is in good hands and will be loved very much and taken care of.

12/1/08 HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAX

We were blessed to have Kimmy, Jared, Jacob and Adam spend the night as they didn't have power. We always love having them around. Max's birthday is today. We celebrated yesterday. Can't believe he is 3 already. Happy birthday sweetie! Nana and papa love you.

11/28/08

Today we put most of the Christmas decorations up. Kenzie always helps me. She put her tree up and also the nativity which she does every year. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday with family. We have much to be thankful to God for.
We went to the candlewalk tonight. Melissa and family and Chuck and Sue went with us. We always have fun with this tradition. The kids were all so good. We are blessed! Missed you Kimmy and family. Here are the pictures we took.

Here's a picture of Kenzie's snowman she made from papa's, nana's and her hands. She came up with the idea all on her own. Thought it was pretty cute. I resized my pictures tonight and will put them on tomorrow night.

11/24/08

This morning I picked Grandpa up and we went to grandparent's day at Hailey's school. The children did all the cute songs, prayers, poems, etc. that they have been practicing. They were so cute.
Hailey did a great job. We had nice snacks afterwards. Grandpa, Melissa and Jack took the tiny (and I mean tiny) elevator to the basement and I took the stairs with Hailey. I'm glad I took the stairs after seeing that elevator. We had a good laugh about it though. Jack was a really good baby as usual so Melissa and I were able to take lots of pictures. Afterwards, Grandpa and I worked on the puzzle that Brian got for him. It's a really hard one. We finished it and were glad to have it done. Now grandpa has a easier one...only 100 pieces.
