9/25/16...Went to church, to the Maple Grill and back to church!

Meeting to ride together

Stacie, DJ and Kody!  Fun time with this sweet family

We had a nice group of us!  Always love helping Veterans

We went to church!  It was an amazing worship service!  Good message!  Vikki, Rody, Peyton and Isaac were there and Stacie and Kody.  The kids went to their classes.  Peyton went joyfully and Isaac hesitated and was teary eyed.  He wanted to stay with his mommy and daddy.  He went though and didn't really cry.  Amanda said he was good once he was in the room.  After church we came home and changed and headed to the Maple Grill.  Bill stopped at Meijer's and saw our group from Faith Rider's there.  We stopped and saw them and then all rode together.  We had our cage and not the bike!  Boo Hoo!  Stacie saved us a table and we sat with her, DJ, Kody and Stacie's dad.  Kody was a very good boy.  Melissa called me and she said Evan learned to ride his bike without training wheels.  He just got his bike and took right off.  She put a video on and it is just amazing how he does.We left there and came home and looked over our stuff for care group.  Headed to church and had yummy healthy treats from Maryjane and Cary's care group.  Pastor talked with us for a while, then we worshipped, then we filled out a conflict questioner to help us see how we handle conflict right now, and then we got in our small group and discussed things and prayed.  Came home and brushed Mocha

Dennis Gwidzola played his instruments while we ate!  He sounded amazing

The pool is closed now!

Wes being silly wearing his name tag on his forehead.  Liz watching.  She ended up with somebody's name tag on her back.  Wes was saying his wasn't sticking and then stuck it to his forehead.

Love these pictures from Kimmy's blog so I borrowed them!  Their fun trip to Copper Harbor!

Did laundry and hung it out it the morning.  Then got ready and went to Andy's Aunt Ida's Memorial service.  It was very nice.  We went to Sullivan's afterwards for the luncheon.  When we got out of the car, we were surprised to see Chris Turner and her mom right next to us.  It made my day.  We talked for a while in the parking lot.  She was taking her mom out for fish.  It was really busy inside.  They had a spider motorcycle group, and two funeral dinners in the back room where we were.  Some people had to wait for seating.  They also had a funeral dinner in the front half of the building.  They sure did overbook.  They did a good job serving and we had a nice time visiting with Nancy and Randy who sat with us.  We went to Stacie's after that and Bill helped her fill out some paperwork for the VA for her dad.  Kody was cute and so sweet.  They showed us their floor they are putting in their shed.  They had the heating coils for the floor put down.  It will be where DJ works on cars so it needs to be warm.  It's going to be very nice.  Got home and gathered some things to take to Vikki's for her to sell at her garage sale.  They just decided to do it at noon so I was amazed to see all they had gathered and set out.  Peyton and Isaac were cute.  They came running out for hugs and then helped carry some of the things I brought.  Could only stay for a minute as I had to get home for West and Gayla to pick us up at 4:30 to go to BayShore for a fundraiser.  It was a beautiful day for the ride there.  We had a very nice time there.  They had a coffee/tea bar set up where you could get cappuccinos, mocha's, frappes, smoothies, hot chocolate, and chai tea.  You could pick your flavorings you wanted in them and also had whipped cream.  You could get as many as you wanted.   The food and cake were delicious.

9/23/16....The motorcycle the lady donated is tuned up and ready...Bill rode it home

Bill after we picked the motorcycle up!

He loved riding it home

Nice country drive
Baby James is such a cutie

Cool and rainy today!  Vikki and I were going to go turn in our applications for working the election and decided we would walk the rail trail while we were there.  The rain changed our minds though.  We came back to my house and listened to worship music, visited and had warmed up roast, potatoes and carrots for lunch.  She tried blueberry pie for the first time too and said it was good.  Lenny came too and was a very well behaved doggie.  My sweet friend, Vikki, called me and we are planning a get together with the girls.  She sent me some pictures of her new grandson, James.  He's so happy and such a cutie.  Bill and I went and picked up the motorcycle that was donated for Run for the Son.  Bill drove it home while I followed.  We went to a movie with Chuck and Sue in the evening.  We saw Sully.  It was very good and an amazing true story.  Didn't like all  the swearing in it though.  I thought it wouldn't be too bad where it was rated PG-13.  Guess that doesn't mean a whole lot now days.  The previews for the upcoming movies were terrible.  No wonder our world is in the shape it is in.

9/22/16...Had to get a new microwave! Wes and Gayla came over for dinner and then we played cards

Made a blueberry pie right away so it would be done before I had to put the roast in the oven.  Used Kimmy's (Jared's mom's actually) pie crust recipe which is so easy and is delicious.  Peeled potatoes before I left to pick up applications for Vikki and I to work the elections  Met Vikki at Jack's and gave her hers.  We shopped and I got a roast, carrots, and potatoes to make for tonight and also some ice cream for the pie.  Got home and peeled carrots.  Set the table with Grandma Daisy's good china and her stainless steel silverware.  Bill and I had to go get a microwave.  Ours started running in the middle of the night the other night.  I almost was too tired to get up and see what the beeping was but I sure was glad I did.  Kimmy read up where microwaves can easily start fires when they do that.  It kept beeping and giving messages all the time too.  Really liked that microwave, but we did find one we liked and it had great reviews.  It's an infection so will have to study up on how to use it.  Wes and Gayla came at 5:30.  We ate and then played two games of    3-13.  I won both games. Wes was way ahead until right at the end when he got stuck with lots of points.  That game is never over until it is over.  We had fun playing cards and then we sat in the living room and visited for a while before they left.  They sure are special friends.  We are blessed that God gives us friends who are family in our hearts.

9/21/16...Went to walk at Sportszone. Bill was there at 5:30 and was done walking and playing Euchre with his friends. Vikki and Kimmy were at my house when I got home. Melissa came shortly after. We had fun visiting and updating our phones. The girls had salad for lunch and I ate the other half of my sub I got yesterday.

During our Faith Rider's visit to Shield of Faith Church, Bill was talking about Run for the Son and how we raise money for the Jesus Film, Open door which distributes Bibles, and Mission Ventures which gives motorcycles to pastors in foreign countries so they can get to their churches. A lady handed Bill a note afterwards and said she wanted to donate this motorcycle with only 9,000 miles on it, 2 leather jackets, and a helmet to sell and give the money to Run for the Son.  God is amazing!  It was our friend, Steve Bluer's mom.  We didn't really know her though. Bill is changing the spark plugs, fixing it up and he washed it.  It is looking so good!  Praying God sends a buyer quickly so we can donate the money to Run for the Sun.  The church blessed us with a $300 check to donate too!  They also made Bill a birthday cake and brought it down the aisle as it was his birthday.  We used to go there and they were so sweet to us.

Aunt Kimmy and Kenzie.  So much fun with the girls and Kenzie here today!

Aunt Missy and Kenzie

Kenzie played her guitar for us.  It sounded so good!

Had fun with my kiddos at Church!  They are gluing paper leaves on their pictures

More of my kiddos!  The girls like to sit at the girls table and the boys like to sit at the boys table they say

Here's the whole group.  They did such a good job and were so good.  Poor Peyton was sick so she couldn't come.  Evan was cute.  When I introduced myself, I said Miss Penny, like money!  The kids went around and said their names for a new boy that was there and when they finished, Evan raised his hand and when I went over to him, he said to me really serious, "but your name is really Nana isn't it".  He was so sweet.  He and Isaac did so good and had so much fun with the kids.

Amazing that I have 3 grandkids in my class.  I am so blessed!

I was so blessed to see Hailey afterwards and here that she and her team won all three games against Peace.  They are the best team and she never thought they would beat them.  Was so sorry I forgot her game there and didn't get to see it.  I was thinking too much about getting ready for my class I guess.

9/20/16..Kimmy and Jacob came to town for Jacob's dentist appt. Jacob's selling yummy candy. So nice seeing them. Norman had a good day today!

Bill told me to go look at the Crane in our yard.  Looked out in the back yard and this blue heron was walking so close to the house.  He flew a little close to the ground and headed for the front yard.  By the time I got my phone to take a pic, he was pretty far away

Went to breakfast.  Only six of us there.  Had a good breakfast and good fellowship and then headed to Wes and Gayla's to pick pears.  Got a bushel and a half.  Also got strawberry plants from them to plant.  As soon as I got home I planted them in the planter Bill made me.  Can't wait for yummy strawberries of our own.  Kenzie came over.  Picked cherry tomatoes and we both had a salad.  Then we had chocolate covered blueberries.  She gave Mocha a bath.  I had planned on it and had everything set up.  She has always loved giving her baths.  Made me pretty happy.    Kimmy and Jacob stopped in and we bought some yummy candy from him.  He left it here so it wouldn't melt in the car while he was at the dentist.  I took it to Vikki's with me when I went to meet them there to visit.  Had a nice time.  Jacob was really happy with all the Star Wars shirts Vikki found at a garage sale for him.  She also got a shirt for Jared and 2 costumes for the boys.  Great finds and everything was only $5.  She finds the best deals and so does Kimmy

9/19/16...Went to Hailey's Volleyball game! She did great and has a amazing serve. Her team won 2 out of 3 games! Way to go!

Didn't think of taking a picture until Hailey's game was over!  It was so exciting

The team was pretty excited

Hailey was a happy girl for sure

The boys didn't have any accidents for the past 5 days!  Yay boys! Way to go.  Way to go too, Peyton.  You haven't had any....It was surprise day!  They were all so excited.  Every family has flexible fort makers now!

Evan, Max and Abby, Hailey and Jack

Made salsa today

Bill and I went and got gas this morning.  Got it for $1.56 a gallon and got the whole 35 gallons because Bill filled my car and the gas cans.  We had 70 cents off a gallon at Kroger.   Came home and picked tomatoes, kalarabi, peppers, jalepenos, and onions in the garden.   Washed all the bedding in the camper and hung it out to dry.  Picked Melissa up at 3:45 and went to Tony's for a burger, fries and root beer float.  We had fun as she taught me the right way to pour ketchup.  It came out nice for her but slow as could be for me.  Then when we poured our root beer floats into
to go cups, she poured hers just fine (she had her ice cream all cut up) and when I poured mine, the big hunk of ice cream plopped in and splattered down my cup.  Melissa wanted to give me lessons on that too.  She was so funny!  We asked for straws when we paid because they never gave us any. Well, we got in the car and the straws fell down the crack by my seat in the car.  We both went to try to get them and knocked heads.  We laughed so hard.  We couldn't get those straws no matter if I moved my seat forward or backwards.  Finally I went in the backseat and got them that way.  We were a couple of minutes late for Hailey's game.  She didn't play in the first game.  They have twice as many girls on the team this year.  They lost that game.  Celeste had told me in church that they weren't any good and had lost all their games and would lose these ones too.  I told her she needed to be positive and not say that.  I also told her I would pray that their team would win.  Melissa and I prayed at the restaurant that they would win and Hailey would do great.  Hailey played in the next two games and they won both games, by lots of points.  Hailey sure can serve good.  Love watching her and her team play.  Came home and made salsa.  Bill liked it when I had him test it.  Got sad news about Norman.  He has Addison't disease. I sure am praying for a miracle for him like God did for Stumpy, or for the medicine to be cheaper.  Trusting God like we always do.  He always gets us through.  So thankful!
