2/6/17....Cleaned some and then read...These books are keeping me busy.

Isaac and Peyton

Finished reading Joseph's Dilemma.  Took it over to Vikki's so she could read it and then pass it to Kimmy to give to Jared next time we are there.  Melissa dropped Peyton and Isaac off and visited for a few minutes.  Went home and started reading Christian's Hope.

2/5/17...SuperBowl Sunday....We went to church and then came home, got food ready and went to Kimmy's

We went to church.  Stacie and Kody were there.  Kody wanted to come in the church and sing and sit by us instead of going back to his class right away.  Vikki, Rody and the kids were there.  Isaac sure was worshipping the Lord.  He was dancing and lifting his hands.  So precious.  The message was so good today.  Melissa, Bruce and kids went to Bethlehem to church.  We got home, changed, I made the cheesy potatoes, wiener dogs, rolls, chicken and chicken wings.  Vikki, Rody and the kiddos came over and when everything was ready, they loaded it in the car.  We all headed to Kimmy's then.  We ate and had a very good time.  The game was a good one.  Atlanta was ahead until the 4th quarter and then the Patriots pulled ahead and won it.  Unbelievable!  It was sure fun to listen to Jared and Bill who were for opposite teams.  The commercials weren't very good this year.

2/4/17...Saturday....Quiet day at home for once. We read more on our books

Cute picture Melissa took of Hailey when they had girl time!

Hailey got this book at Barnes and Nobles.  She loves to read

We slept in today which we haven't done in a very long time.  We didn't have anything planned so it was a nice relaxing day.  We spent a lot of time reading our books which was nice.

2/3/17....Went with Melissa and Vikki to Kimmy's. Had a nice time and yummy lunch. Checked on the sheep regularly but no babies today.

Norman relaxing

He decided to pose for me!!!

Vikki came over and we waited for Melissa to get here so we could head to Kimmy's to spend the day.  We went there so she could keep an eye on the sheep and be there if a lamb was born.  We got to Kimmy's and were excited to see her new lamb.  It is so cute.  It's mommy is sure protective of her baby.  We had to watch her so she wouldn't butt us.  Glad she's such a good mom though.  Kimmy made egg salad sandwiches and salad for lunch.  She always makes it the best!
Nothing like farm fresh eggs.  We had fun visiting!  So nice to be close and spend time together each week.  Kimmy gave their guinea pig to Melissa to take home to the kids after Melissa got approval from Bruce.  Came home so the girls could go pick up the kids from school.  Melissa's kiddos all loved the hamster.  They named him Jeffrey Peanut instead of plain peanut.  Bill and I took dinner to Karen and Rob at 5:30.  We had a nice visit with them and then we came home and read our books.  I finished reading the Shack and Bill read Christian's Hope.

2/2/17...baked more butterhorns, made cabbage buns for Dzuba's for tomorrow night, got ready for officer's meeting

Kimmy and Jared's lamb!  Can't wait to see it tomorrow!!!

Got up and got bread dough going.  Cleaned the refrigerator out and then made a batch of butter horns.  Put dough for butter horns in the refrigerator for a while.  Went to get burger and cabbage at Jacks.  Came home and cooked it up and then baked the cabbage buns.  Baked the butter horns and frosted them and the ones Kenzie and I made yesterday.  Got my decal from Melissa's too.  Hung it on the wall and it looks great.  Nice and level.  Forgot to mention that when I opened the cupboard to get a dish out, I noticed Bill had unloaded the dishwasher last night.  It was hunt for and move the dishes to their rightful places time.  If it had been Jared, I would have known it was on purpose, but Bill just don't get where the dishes go.  Even the matching cups were in different places.  I still haven't found 3 of the fruit dishes he put away the last time.  Nice that he wanted to surprise me.  I almost mentioned to him that if he didn't know where a dish goes, he could just set it on the cupboard, but decided not to because it was so sweet of him to try,  We ate and after that, everyone came for the officer's meeting.  We had ten of us here.  The meeting went really well and Bill did a good job leading it.  Luis led us in prayer and it was amazing.  Reading the Shack again.  Great book.

2/1/17....Kimmy's first lamb of the year was born healthy! Yay! Picked Kenzie up and spend the day with her. She cleaned the room upstairs for me and we put the mattress pad I got on sale on the bed

Kimmy and Jared's new lamb.  Romney/Suffolk mix.  So Cute!

My class had so much fun picking out their surprises out of the treasure box.  They earned them by memorizing their Bible verse.  So proud that they all said their verse!  10 kiddos hiding God's Word in their hearts.

My class with the bows they made out of duct tape.  The girls made bows for their hair and the boys made bow ties!  What a bunch of cuties!

Evan was so happy!

I went and picked up Kenzie at 9:30.  We went to Tim Horton's for a breakfast sandwich, cookies and she picked up Timbits for Peyton and Isaac.  She brought her eskimo doll and Harmony bear back to my house to keep here.  She wanted to make sure I would put them in a safe place.  She signed my adding machine note thing on the wall.  She has been signing her name to it and the date every time she comes now.  She's so cute!  She helped me put the King size mattress pad on the bed upstairs and then she vacuumed and dusted the room.  We made butter horns too!  She loves doing that with me. I sent some home with her.   We went to Vikki's on our way to take Kenzie back and saw Vikki and the kids.  Melissa was there too.  Kenzie gave her a bag of makeup for Hailey.  They were excited about the tidbits.  Lenny was happy to see Kenzie.  What a fun night at kids care group.  They went to watch the DVD about the Bible Story, worshipped and then came to my room.  I had a cup for each of them and under it was a peanut butter cup.  They didn't know what was under it and they couldn't touch it until I told them they could.  I handed each of them a marshmallow to hold.  I told them if they didn't eat the marshmallow until 3 minutes passed, they would get the surprise under their cups.  If they ate the marshmallow right away they would just get the marshmallow.  We set the timer and they waited patiently.  After we talked about how long it seemed for the 3 minutes to go by.  Then we talked about how long Jesus was in the wilderness and how hungry He must have been when the devil tempted him to turn the stone into bread.  We talked about the story they had heard about on the DVD and they sure knew most of the answers.  Amazing kiddos!  Melissa didn't think Evan would want to go out in the hall and say his Bible verse to Tina so I had Peyton go first, than Isaac, than I told Evan it was his turn.  He went right out and said it really good.  So happy he wasn't afraid to do it.  We all went to another classroom and made bows out of duct tape.  The kids loved it.  So much fun!

1/31/17...It was snowy and slippery out. We went to breakfast still

Went to breakfast.  There were 11 of us there.  Betty turned 90 so Wes and Gayla picked up a cake and we all had some.  It was really good.  Came home and got house ready for care group.  Read more on my book.  We had a good care group.  It was kind of funny.  Nancy was on a cruise last week and I picked the two songs to worship to.  She picked them this week and picked the same two out of all those songs.  Vicki and Kevin joined out care group.  We are happy to have them in it.
