11/8/17...Went shopping for Kenzie's Birthday present, Went over my lesson for tonight, Went to Chuck Salaman's Dad's funeral, Taught my class

Took this picture 11/7 last year.  Below is the tree this year a day later.

The tree is a little behind in turning color.  Lots of leaves came down last night with the wind blowing so hard.  Hoping it still turns its beautiful golden color.

Evan brought his traveling buddy to church tonight

Evan with some of my class at Pioneer Club tonight.  He was so happy to have his traveling buddy come with him.

Went to the Sports Zone and walked for three miles.  Came home and made oatmeal for Bill and I.
He had an appointment at the VA so I went shopping for Kenzie's Birthday gift while he was at that.
Went to some thrift stores too.  Also went to Kroger's and got an Olive Garden gift card from our small group for Andrea and Chuck.  Came home and went over my lesson for tonight.  Bill had an eye appointment.  He needs glasses so they ordered them for him.  He didn't have time to make it home, so I met him at the funeral home.  Pastor Jeff did the funeral.  It was a nice service.  Came home and ate and then went to teach my class.  Had ten kids.  It was a super busy night.

Great turnout for breakfast.  We have been meeting for breakfast since 2000.  Great fellowship,  devotion and prayer.  After breakfast, we dropped some stuff off at Salvation Army and then Bill dropped me off and headed to his appointment at the VA.  I balanced the checkbook and trimmed some plants outside.  When Bill got home I went to the Party store to get some decorations for Marie and Roy's anniversary.  After that I went to Sam's Club and got a pretty cake and had them right on it.
Got home and decorated the dining room.  Got everything ready for small group and then we got a call that we could pick up Bill's truck.  It was at Garber's getting fixed because it broke down on him yesterday.  It was a module.  Glad he has his truck back.  We had a fun time celebrating Marie and Roy's Anniversary and had a wonderful small group with lots of discussion when answering the questions.  Susan wasn't feeling good so couldn't come.  Andrea and Chuck were with family because his dad passed away.  Keeping them in prayer.

11/5/17, Went to Church, Went out with Arnie and Cheryl after church, Went and got some groceries, Watched some movies.

We went to church. Peyton was so cute with her missing top front teeth.  Got lots of good hugs from all the grand kiddos.   Pastor gave a great sermon.  Arnie and Cheryl were there and said they had come while we were in New York too.  We went to Applebees for lunch and had a good time visiting.
We came home and I went to Jack's to get round steak to make for dinner tomorrow night for a lady that comes to our Bible Study who is recovering from a liver transplant.  Her body has been rejecting the liver so she has been put on more anti rejection meds.  Our small group is taking meals to her this week.

We watched movies and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon.

We saw the show, Let Their Be Light.  It was really good with a great message.   After that we went to Culver's with Chuck and Sue.  Bill had chili and a concrete mixer and I had a burger and a concrete mixer.  We came back to our house and we all played Eucre.  Bill and I won.  Vikki and Misty came over afterward to get our tables for the bazaar they are doing.

11/3/17....Thinking lots about my dad today and missing him so much. Can't believe it has been eight years. What an amazing dad he was. Went to Grandparents Day for Eli at school. Went to Kimmy's afterwards. Went to Dennis and Amy's for dinner

Still getting roses...have another bud coming too

Eli making his turkey.  He had to write things he is thankful for on the feathers and then cut them out.  He got it all together and glued it on the paper and colored it really nice.  He was thankful for God, his family, soccer, school, papa's punches, and food and water.

Nana, Eli and Papa on grandparent's day at his school.  His friend Brode's grandparents couldn't come so we had him sit with us.  He took this picture for us.

Silly Eli.  He showed me his shark and then showed me how he could stick it to his head.  He is one cute boy!

Bill playing Word's with Friends

Jacob, Adam, Eli, Nana and Papa.  The boys are holding their toys that have parts that pop out when you squeeze them.  We got them at Eli's school store today.

Dinner with Amy, Dennis, Dennis and Bill

Channel 5 interviewing Vikki

Missing my sweet dad today and thinking lots about him.  He was the most sweet, fun dad ever!
Walked three miles at Sports Zone and forgot my fit bit...bummer!  Came home and made some changes and additions to the newsletter for Faith Riders and sent it out.  Organized some things in the garage. After lunch, we went to Eli's school for Grandparent's Day.  Eli was really happy to see us and was so cute.  Sure love that sweetie.  He showed us his desk, how he uses his iPad, and then he made interviewed Papa and wrote his answers.  He made a cute turkey picture with what he is thankful for on the feathers too.  His friend came by us and did stuff with us too.  We met his teacher and talked to him for a while.  He was really nice  Afterward, we signed Eli out in his class and went to the school store and got some neat stuff.  We went to McDonalds and Eli wanted a happy meal instead of ice cream.  I got a burger and Bill had a Oreo McFlurry.  We went to Kimmy's afterwards.
It was so nice spending time with her and seeing the boys when they got home from school.  They are the sweetest boys.  Jacob got on his tiptoes so I had to look up at him and thought that was pretty funny.  It won't be long and I will be looking up to him.  Jared got home from work so it was nice seeing him too.  We had to leave at 5:45 to got to Amy and Dennis's for dinner.  Dennis Watkins was there too.  We had chicken chili, salad, rolls and pumpkin pie.  It was a yummy meal.  We had lots of fun playing cards.  I won so I went home happy.  Vikki got interview by Channel 5 for asking the tough questions.  Ocean Oddesy Pet Store had terrible conditions for the animals when Vikki and Melissa were there last night.  Vikki called channel 5 because it upset her so much that the animals were being taken care so badly.

11/2/17....Slept in today!!! Updated Faith Rider's Address List, Picked up Hailey and Evan from school, Donuts with kids, Made salmon for dinner, Officer's meeting at Grand Traverse Pie Co

Jack showing me what he made

Evan

Max and Jack

Hailey

Missy

Bill and I slept in till after 9 this morning.  We rarely do that but it sure felt good.  I was dreaming lots.  I was going in the air with Bill, Wes, Gayla, Charlie, Sue and Louise and one we were up there we needed to pull the string in the umbrella.  No wonder I needed extra sleep.  It was exhausting.  I cleaned my closet and packed my summer clothes away.  Bill volunteered to drive veterans again today.  I updated our address list for Faith Riders to take to our meeting tonight.  Melissa called me and needed me to pick up Hailey and Evan at 11:30 as they only had a half day.  She had Nora and also needed to pick up the Mulder boys besides her boys.  She didn't have enough room so I was happy to go.  I had taken my shower and washed and dried my hair, but didn't have time to do it because Bill needed in the bathroom.  I was going to go upstairs to finish it, but decided to just wait till he was done.  Started doing other things so forgot about it.  Of course today would be the day when Mr. Parks would come knocking on my window.  I went to roll it down and it wouldn't work.  Then I figured out the child locks were on and took them off.  He wanted to know if I knew Melissa was in line to pick up the kids.  I told him she was picking up extra kids so I was getting Hailey and Evan.  Then I get up there and Hailey is safety patrol girl so I had to get out of the car to talk to her.  She told me to go to the other parking lot and wait and that she would be done at 3:30.  That threw me off, but we quickly figured out she forgot she was out early.  It figures this would all happen on a bad hair day.  Usually I just get to go unnoticed in my car.  Poor Melissa was having her problems too.  It was marked on her paper to pick the Mulder boys up but then they told her their mom was at the school.  Hailey, Evan and I decided to pick up donuts for all of us and drinks for Hailey, Melissa and I.  We had them at Melissa's and the kids were all excited.  Sure enjoyed spending time with them.  Made salmon from Vikki and Terry for dinner.  It was delicious.
Went to Traverse City Pie Co. for our officer's meeting.  Had blackberry pie alamode.  It was delicious. Had a good meeting.

Love Erin horse.....so beautiful!

Walked 3 miles at Sports Zone in the morning.  Came home and watched tv to see more info about the terrorist attack in NY.  Typed up the newsletter for Faith Riders and then went over my lesson for church tonight again.  Bill volunteered at the VA hospital and then went and helped Kenzie move a couple of dressers.  He got home and I had to leave to teach my class.  We had a great time at class.  The kids made nice covers for their light switches.
