Got up early and headed to BayShore for family camp.  Peyton, Hailey and I rode in my car and Bill and the four boys were in the truck towing the camper.  We went ahead of them and stopped at Roy and Marie’s to drop off some cabbage buns for them.  Waited on their road till I saw Bill coming and pulled out behind him. Got to BayShore and set up on lot 14. Trying a new spot this year.  We set up and then went for a swim. Papa and Hailey stayed at the camper.  We swam for a long time. Perfect weather and perfect pool temperature.  After that, we went and visited Wes, Gayla, Becky and Dave.  Bill and Wes helped Dave set up his camper.  The kids were happy to play with their friends and Hailey and Mia hung out and set their tent up.  We ate cabbage buns for dinner.  Went to worship service at 6:45.  Kids went to God Squad.  Max and Hailey stayed in service. Went for ice cream afterward . Hailey stayed in Mias tent

7/27/18.....Went up to the hospital and spent time with Melissa. Bruce's mom and Hailey came up for a while while I was there. I got lunch downstairs and bought it up to eat when Melissa got her lunch. Melissa has a nurse who looks and talks just like Sara Ann. Bruce came up so I went to his house and picked up all the kid's stuff to load in the camper.

Two fawns Bill took a picture of in our back yard.
I didn't take any pictures today, but Bill did.  Went in the morning and visited Melissa in the hospital.  She has a nurse who looks and talks just like Sara Ann.  She is really cheerful and sweet so when the Nurse Coordinator asked for names of anyone Melissa thought was outstanding, Melissa told her about her and another nurse.  We didn't know her name, but described her and then came up with her name later and called the lady to let her know.  When I was getting on the elevator after getting lunch at the cafeteria, Bruce's mom and Hailey were getting on the elevator from the other side.  They came up and visited with Melissa for a while.  Melissa and I ate out lunch together.  Hailey and Debbie left and Bruce got there shortly after.  I left and went to pick up the kids suitcases and all the stuff they are taking to BayShore.  They all helped carry it out and put it in my car.  I put it all away in drawers and cupboards in the bunkhouse.  Melissa's MRI showed everything with the brain is ok.  They still have to check out her neck.  They increased her baclofin and doubled her Diamox.  She will go to the rehab tomorrow.  Melissa was walking for therapy and her IV came out and she was bleeding.  Greg (her nurse friend since she was a candy striper) was on the floor, saw it and came running, recognized her and started joking with her.  He came back to visit her later.  He helped her get through everything back when she was so sick for so long.  He would come to the rehab everyday to see her after work.  He has four kids now too.  They showed each other pictures of their kids.  Vikki brought the kids clothes and put them in the camper.  She had daily outfits in Ziploc bags for Peyton, Isaac and Evan.  Wow!  She worked hard to make it so easy for me.  She took Melissa yummy roast, carrots and potatoes to eat.  What a sweet girl she is.  Melissa was so happy.  Chrystal, Wes, Gayla,, Chuck and Sue all went up to visit Melissa to day too. Bill and I went and got gas to get our 60 cents off a gallon up to 35 gal.  I went to Kroger's while he filled his truck and then we went to Menard's and picked out stain for the bathroom doors.  Also got a paper towel holder for the camper which Bill hung on the pantry door for me.  I got the Faith Rider's Newsletter Out.  Put more groceries and stuff in the camper.

7/26/18...Melissa called and wanted me to come to see her, Bill came up and brought us donuts, Played Tonk and Melissa won again, Went to G's with Faith Riders

Gayla, Wes, Chuck, Don and Bill getting ready to pray before we ride to G's Pizzeria in Bay City
I got up and saw a text from Melissa asking me to come up this morning.  I got ready right away and went up to see her.  Bruce has to work today.  I ordered her breakfast and then went downstairs and got a spinach omelet and hashbrowns for me to eat with her.  She sat in the chair for a long time and we played another game of Tonk.  She beat me again!  The neurologist, Dr. Gill, came in to see Melissa.  She had to see a neurologist to be able to go to the rehab.  He was very nice and called Melissa's neurologist in Owosso to consult with her.  They are having an MRI done and doubling the dose of Diamox she is on.  Tonight she will have an MRI.  Bill came and brought us donuts.  Before he left, Melissa was going to order lunch.  He told her to order two chicken strips, but she said she couldn't do that with her spaghetti.  They know she doesn't eat that much.  She did order him some chicken noodle soup he asked for though, and two cookies.  Bill and I went downstairs and had lunch real quick and then he left and didn't even go back up to have the soup he wanted.  I ate it for him though. I stayed until around 3 when Melissa had therapy and was also going to get a breathing treatment.  The room was too crowded and I didn't want to wait in the hall that long.  Bruce was coming soon too, so I figured he would be there when they were done.  Met at Meijer's to ride to G's Pizzeria in Bay City.  There were six of us who went.  It was a nice ride and the food was great.  When we got home, Bill and I took the Clam down before it rains tonight.  While we were at G's I got a message from Melissa.  She had the MRI of her brain and neck at 7.  Praying for a good report and something that can be fixed easily to take care of the Clonis. I sure love that girl!

7/25/18...Went to the hospital Finished playing tonk with Melissa, Melissa had Lynn for therapy, Bruce's mom came to stay with the kids so I can get packed for our camping trip

Isaac and Peyton
Max, Hailey, Evan and Abby
Jack, Debbie (Bruce's mom), Evan, Hailey and Max

Went to the hospital to see Melissa. We finished our game and she beat me.  It took a long time for me to get to 100 though because I didn't get high points.  We had fun.  After I left the hospital, I stopped at Vikki's.  Poor girl, the kids spilled all of her beads today.  That had to be a mess.
Peyton's room looks beautiful.  She changed it around.  Evan wanted to help Vikki move furniture.  Evan said “I can help you and Isaac, I’m super strong! One time I picked up a two person couch with 2 parents on it.” Vikki was cracking up!!!! She said “thank you but can u play with Peyton so she doesn’t see everything I throw away!” And he said “yep! Come on Peyton let’s go outside!” He knew he was helping me hahaha  Thought that was hilarious.  Melissa got a good laugh out of that one.
Melissa had her therapist, Lynn, that she had for so long back when she was so sick.  She always was such a great therapist and helped Melissa so much.  Melissa has been trying to find out where she worked now but couldn't.  Lynn saw Melissa's name on the list and said I'm having her for my patient.  Melissa was so happy as Lynn is who she always wanted to have and now she gets her while she's in.  She told Melissa she really  needs to go to the rehab.  I went to drop off Max and Hailey's things at there house and went in and visited with Bruce's mom for a few minutes.

Bill and I went to breakfast.  After breakfast, I went up to the hospital to stay with Melissa.  Bruce was taking Hailey to a U of M appt.  They came up to the hospital before they went to U of M.  Vikki, Evan, Peyton and Isaac came up too.  Vikki surprised Melissa and I and brought us each a delicious bowl of fruit.  YUM!  That was so sweet of her.  Vikki and the kids left and then after a while Bruce and Hailey left.  Melissa and I played tonk.  I wonder the first one and she was ahead the second game but got tired so we decided to finish it later.  They didn't give Melissa physical therapy so I asked the aid about it.  She said she would walk Melissa down the hall.  She was sweet and went out of her way to do this so Melissa wrote a Stargram out for her.  It is getting harder for Melissa to walk so she knows she needs to go to the Rehab now.  They always help her get better and walking again.  Boo Hoo, I am crying because she can't go to BayShore this year.  We get to take the kiddos though and Peyton and Isaac.  I sure will miss Melissa there.  I picked up Hailey and Max and brought them to my house to watch movies and spend the night.  They are so good and are being so responsible.  I am blessed.  Bruce said Hailey's appt. went good.  She is backed up and needs to be on medicine to clean her out.

Another cute picture of Peyton, Evan and Isaac

Hailey and I had fun going to Bed Bath and Beyond, Aldi's, and then Kroger's to shop.  She picked out some pretty good treats and yummy cereal.  Got stuff to take for camping trip to BayShore.  Hailey was a big help loading and unloading groceries.  After that we went to Haithco to hang out in our hammocks while Peyton, Isaac and Evan swam and played on the beach.  I didn't remember to take any pictures.  Vikki took Evan home with her and Hailey and I came back to my house.  She packed her stuff and I took her home as she has a dr. appointment at U of M tomorrow.  We anointed her with oil and prayed for her at breakfast this morning.  Believing for a good report.
She sure is a special sweetie.   I came home and packed the tent so if fit in the case.  Bill had to go to an Elder's meeting.  I patched the tiny holes in the carrying case to the clam.  Loaded refrigerator and freezer stuff in the camper.  I'm getting all of my stuff done so I will be able to help Melissa.  Put step covers on so Melissa won't hurt her knees when she crawls up them while we are camping.  Got lots done today.

7/22/18...Went to church, taught Sunday School, Went to Veterans Appreciation in Frankenmuth,Visited Melissa, Had Evan and Hailey spend the night

Went to church.  Taught Sunday School today, than after all the parents picked up their children, Jack and I left for Frankenmuth for the Veteran's appreciation.  We dropped Hailey off at her house to spend time with Abby (their doggie).  It was raining lightly while we were there.  This is always such a nice event that really honors the veterans like they deserve.  We ate first.  Debbie and Tom were cooking the hotdogs and doing a great job.  The kids had fun doing everything.  Jack and Isaac were pretty excited to shoot a BB gun.  Got home and Hailey and Evan watched The Parent Trap.  They are so fun and so easy to have stay.  Sure do love my family!
