Went to pray with Marie and Roy before her back surgery.  Doug and Carol (their extended family) were already there.  We drank coffee and visited while they prepped Marie.  Pastor Jeff from our church came and sat with us.  They finally called all of us to go to Marie's room.  We prayed for her, visited more with her and Roy, and then the doctor came in.  He explained the surgery to us.  Pastor Jeff asked if we could pray for him and he said yes.  We all prayed. So wonderful!  Bill and I left after  that and went to Fuzzies for Breakfast.  We stopped on the way home and filled both tanks with gas and got $1 off up to 35 gal.  Picked up some gift cards that were quadrupled for gas points.  Already have 900 points towards next month.  We took a short nap and then I went to pick Max, Jack, Evan and Hailey from school.  Dropped them off at Melissa's and then Melissa, Jack and I went to Jack's soccer game.  Bill met us there, and then Bruce came shortly after when he got out of work.  Jack's team won 1 to 0.  Roy called me while I was at the game and said Marie was in recovery and the surgery went well.  Thanked God!  We went to our Faith Rider Chapter meeting afterward.  There were 21 there.  Bill did a great job leading our meeting.  Our area reps were there too.

9/11/19...Sad remembering 9/11 and all the lives lost and sicknesses resulting. I will NEVER Forget!!!

Dropped Bill off to help with the Food Pantry Collection for the one percenters.   Quite a few from the Marine Corp. League were there.  They donated $500 worth of groceries to the pantry.
When Melissa and I got to her house, an ambulance pulled up and they wheeled a stretcher up to her neighbor's house right next door.  They brought Mr. Fisher out on the stretcher with a heart monitor on, and put him in the ambulance.  He's in his 80's, but sure doesn't look it and is always active.  They were doing something to him in the ambulance when another ambulance came and brought something in a big black bag and took it in the original ambulance.  His wife looked nervous and was waiting with her daughter by her vehicle.  Finally she knocked on the ambulance door.  The other ambulance workers came out and so did the driver of his ambulance.  They left then.  Melissa and I were praying right away when we saw the first ambulance of course.

I watched Fox News as they remembered 9/11.  So hard to watch, but very touching to hear the heroic rescues.  I still cry when I watch it.  Loved how our country came together afterward and people were asking for prayer.

I took Melissa a Mocha and donut.  I had my coffee from home which was so good, so didn't get me anything,  We talked a lot about 9/11 and she showed me a video of a friend's cousin with ALS. He is so positive no matter what he goes through.  Loved hearing what he said.  We left and went and picked up Jack from school.  Then we took him to his dr. appt.  He had to get three shots.  Poor boy!  We dropped him back off at school and I went in to give him a motrin Melissa wanted him to have.  He had to take it at the drinking fountain, but managed to swallow it.  Melissa and I went to the lab so she could have her blood checked.  Then we went to Old Town to get coney dogs.  We went to her house to eat.  When we were done, we saw the ambulance pull up.  She called me later to let me know he has to stay in the hospital overnight at least.  He was working in the yard, went in feeling exhausted, laid down on the couch and passed out.  He is going to be ok though.  Praise the Lord.  Bill and I went to DJ's to pick up his truck.  We called all of our small group people to give them our address and let them know we are happy to have them in our group.  Printed off copies of the newsletter for our meeting tomorrow night.  Talked to Marie and Roy.  We will be going up to the hospital in the morning to pray with her before her back surgery.

9/10/10...Finished packing up the pool, Went to the New Home Goods store, Tornado warning and blaring sirens in the evening

Yay, pool is all packed away

My flowers are looking so pretty

Sky after the tornado warning was over

We went to our breakfast. Good devotion and prayer time.  Came home and washed to vinyl that goes under the pool.  It started raining, so we took the pool into our garage so it would stay dry.
Came in to read our devotions and Bibles.  After it quit raining, we washed the other side of the vinyl.  Flipped the pool so the inside would be good and dry.  We went to walk through the new Home Goods Store, Sams Club and then got a bowl of soup and a concrete mixer at Culvers.  We came home and folded and packed up the vinyl and the pool and got them put away.  Shortly after that, the clouds started forming and I saw there were tornado warnings in Midland.  I called Kimmy to warn her.  Jacob was at school for a marching band practice, and Jared, Adam and Eli were at the soccer field.  It was cancelled and they were heading home.  I saw on tv the tornado warnings were for Freeland and Saginaw.  The sirens went off and the warnings were until 7:45 here.  I went to the basement, but Bill stayed upstairs to watch.  Kimmy called to let me know Jared, Adam and Eli were home.  Melissa was texting me because she was in a closet with a bunch of people at Valley Lutheran where they were having an open house to meet the teachers.  People kept checking their phones and said there were touchdowns at Midland and Tittabawassee (close to us) and Shattuck and Hospital (close to our church).  Hailey, Max and Jack were at their house by themselves and went in the basement.  I talked to Vikki to make sure she was watching the weather and was aware that it was coming her way.  I was so happy when the warning ended.  Then I called my friend, Vikki, to let her know the storms were headed to Indiantown.  They are in their 90's so wanted to make sure they were warned.  Vikki thanked me and said her parents said to say thank you too.  They were watching the news, but appreciated being thought about.  Then Vikki told me that her granddaughter read the trilogy that Jacob had me read.  I had told Vikki about them when I was reading them.  She was happy because her granddaughter Ava read them and wrote her a note thanking her for giving her them.  She said she loved reading them and really liked that they talked about God a lot.  She's 10 years old, but loves to read.  Talked to Marie and she is having back surgery this Thursday.  Praying for it to be successful so she can walk again.  Talked to each of the girls one more time and then did my blog and went to bed.

9/9/19..Took the pool down, took Max to Taco Bell

Isaac practicing with his roller blades

Max at Taco Bell...we had so much fun

Evan writing and studying his spelling words
Hailey

We started working on taking down the pool.  Bill used his new weed walker and did around everything.  It has an edger too.  He really did a great job on the brick walkway.  Went to Hallmark and picked up some cards for my card box.  Used my 20 percent off coupon.  Got home and Melissa called.  Evan threw up at school and she needed me to pick him up.  He said he was coughing when he threw up, so that was probably why.  He seemed fine when I picked him up and was cheerful and talkative.  Happy he doesn't have anything contagious.  Dropped him off and went home to help Bill work on the pool.  Vikki and the kids came over.  Vikki helped with the pool.  Peyton played on the swings and Isaac skated with his nice roller blades Vikki found for $5.  They love roller blading and it is so good for them.  I love watching them.  Vikki and he kids helped take the trash I cleaned out of the shed out to the road too.  When we got stuff sprayed off and clean, we put it in the shed.  Vikki was a great organizer.  Now Bill and I just have to put the pool and the vinyl thing that goes under the pool away. Bill had to meet Kevin to talk about him becoming president of Faith Riders when Bill steps down Jan. 1st.  Bill said it went well.  I picked up Max and took him to Taco Bell.  He loves Taco Bell now.  We had such a good talk and such a fun time.  I went in when I dropped him off back home and saw Hailey, Evan and Melissa.  Came home and flipped the pool over and washed the bottom of it.  Not much left to do tomorrow now so should get it all put away before it rains.

Bill at Slo Bones in front of their mascot

Celebrating our 46th wedding anniversary
Bill eating our dessert the waitress surprised us with because of it being our anniversary.  It was yummy!

Bill and I enjoying Frankenmuth
We went into a store called Abby's and Kimmy called us to wish us happy anniversary.  I saw this
fake dog that made me think of Wyatt so I took a picture and sent it to Kimmy.  They were going to Jeannie's Memorial Service.  So sad that she died so young.
Sent Kimmy this picture too.  We both planted Clematis plants this year.  Can't wait until ours get this big and beautiful

Bill and I hooked the hoses up to drain the pool.  Sure was easy to just stick them through the two drainage holes

The pool stayed pretty clean.  We have been gone lots and it hasn't been used
We got up and wished each other Happy Anniversary.  When I got out to the kitchen, there was a card and something wrapped up in Bill's shirt.  (I never thought about using a shirt as wrapping paper ha ha).  When I unwrapped it, it was a travel soft blanket that folds up small for the motorcycle.  He got it for me at the State Rally and surprised me.  Then he told me we had to kiss 46 times today because it's our 46th anniversary.  We went to church early and he went to pray with the elders and I went in the pre service prayer room to pray with the prayer team.  Worship was amazing today.  The Holy Spirit was moving!  The message was really good too.  After we prayed for people at the end of service, Vikki told me she was going to become a member.  It made me so happy.  We had a small group meeting with Paul and Amanda Shaw after service to go over what the small group facilitators need to do and to let us know who will be in our groups.  Love our group already!  After the meeting, Bill and I went to Frankenmuth to celebrate our Anniversary.  We went to eat at Slo Bones.  We had a gift card from a couple Bill had married.   The food was good, but we had a hard time enjoying it because the flies were so bad in the restaurant.  We were constantly swatting.  I got so fed up, I killed 3 with just my hand and napkin.  The waitress apologized and I heard other waitresses apologizing to other people.  Our waitress was very nice and surprised us and brought a ice cream brown cake that was delicious. We were glad to get out of there.  It sure will be a memory though.  We walked around Frankenmuth and went in shops.  They had an art fair there we walked through too.  Looked at some of the old cars that were there for the car show.  We had a really nice time.  We stopped at Bill's sister, Carol.  It was so nice to visit with her.  Called Bill's brother, Fred, when we got home to see how he is doing after his surgery.  He is in a lot of pain and the medicine is making him sick.  We prayed for him and got the girls praying.  We started emptying the water in the pool, so we can take it down tomorrow.  Read our Bibles and watched the Lion's game.

Jacob in the parade....took this from Kimmy's pictures

We met at Levi's for breakfast with Faith Riders.  We had a great turn out, great food and wonderful fellowship.  We left from there and all rode to Bikes on the Bricks in Flint.  All but Kevin and Vikki were able to go.  It was a great ride and the weather was wonderful.  We got to the Harley Dealer and went to where they talked to us about being blockers.  We blockers left first and the motorcycle parade which had 1000 bikes in it followed us.  The police would point at the person behind them and that bike would pull off and block the road.  They did this until all the roads were either blocked by police or by blockers.   It kept moving up to us until only 4 bikes were left before the motorcycle parade.  Wes, Gayla, Bill, me, Bill and Sabrina, Adam and Angie didn't get to block as they had enough this year.  We have always blocked before and like doing it.  We did get good parking spaces though.  We walked around and looked at all the motorcycles, watched policeman do the obstacle course, Visited with Victory Biker Church people and CMA people, and talked to lots of other people.
We went to the Farmer's Market to eat.  We also bought a small loaf of banana bread for our dessert.
It was fun getting to see Bill and Sabrina's grandchildren who are year old twins.  They are so cute.
Bill, Joaquin, Elaine and her dad all left together to go back to Saginaw.  Bill led the way.  Such a fun day.  After we got home, Melissa and Bruce brought the boys over for us to watch while they went to Frankenmuth to celebrate Bruce's Birthday.  They played air hockey, played with legos, watched FlyWheel, and played Mario on the wii.  They were very good and we had lots of fun.  Jack and Evan ate sloppy joes.
