Vikki didn't have to be to work until 9 this morning, so she brought the kids at 8:30.  I made her a cup of coffee and she had time to visit a little and drink it before leaving for work which was nice.  Bill dropped off the birch branch that fell from our tree in Misty's yard.  She makes lots of neat things so wanted it.  The kids and I worked on their spelling lessons.  They had 20 contractions today, and learned them really fast.  We did our reading after that.  We started a new book today and they did great reading it.  Vikki got done with work early, so we all played 3-13.  I was the big winner today!  I made Sloppy Joes for lunch.  Vikki and the kids left after that.  Bill put a new screen saver on my phone for me.  Texted with Adam some today.  Did some reading.  Labeled pictures.

Monday, 11/16/2020, Bill had coffee with Charlie, Bill sawed the tree that fell and we stacked the wood, Cleaned up some other wood in the little woods

The high winds yesterday pretty much cleaned off the leaves on this side of the deck.  There were some piles up by the door and in the corner.
This is what the other side of the deck looked like.  One nice big pile all ready for the leaf vacuum
It was so beautiful out so Bill sawed up the tree and we both stacked it

The deck after I vacuumed up the leaves.  Bill is out in the woods cleaning up some more branches.  Every time I look out at our deck, I am so thankful for our family making it look so nice.  We sure are enjoying it!
Other side of the deck all vacuumed

Evan with the scene he made from the book he read.  It was his school project.  I couldn't decide between pictures, so put both on
Great job Evan!

Lots of great details and I sure loved hearing how everything was made.  Such a great job Evan!  Nana loves it and how hard you worked on it.  I especially love that suitcase and how the boy is sitting on top of it with a stamp left to put on it.

Bill went to have coffee with Charlie.  Charlie has his surgery on Friday.  Happy Bill can spend time with him and encourage him. I walked 2 miles on the treadmill, did my reading and morning routine, then took a nice long hot shower.  Still windy today, but mild compared to yesterday.  Bill started cutting up the tree that fell, once he got home.  He wanted to get it done before Kimmy and her crew could come.  He saw her work really hard on fixing our leak damage, and said he knows she has a lot to do, so wanted to putter around and work on it.  It was the perfect weather to do it in.  We used the wagon to haul it and then stacked it together.  Fun time doing it!  He cut up some other branches that had been down in the woods too.  While he cut, I vacuumed up the leaves on the deck and around the edge of the deck and behind the deck by the pool.  Good to have the leaves all taken care of now.
Vikki was going to come help with the wood, but Bill said he was quitting because he needed to sharpen the blade, so I told her not to come.  A short time later he was out cutting again.  We both had high energy today.  Must be the protein drinks.  I talked to Melissa for a while.  She told me about Evan's school project and sent me pictures.  He sure did a great job.  Vikki doesn't have to work until 9, so the kids aren't coming until the morning.  I am missing them tonight!

Sunday, 11/15/2020, Very windy today, 39 degrees, Watched our church service on line this morning, Went for a ride

Vikki sent a picture of a tree like this that fell at Misty's.  I decided I should look outside and check our trees and this is what I found

The tree broke at the bottom

Birch tree branch down too

Our scores in 3-13

Did our daily routine and then watched our church service on line.  They were having technical difficulties, so we couldn't find it on the church facebook page.  We did find a link and were able to worship with them and listen to a great message from Pastor Ken.  I made brunch afterward.  We read our Bibles, then we both took a nap in the loveseat recliner.  When we finished our nap, I looked and Vikki had sent me a picture of a tree down at her friend, Misty's.  I went and looked out our sliding glass door and we had a tree down about the same size as Misty's.  It sure was windy out!  We decided to go for a ride.  We went and filled up the car with gas first.  It was $2.15 a gallon at the stations close to us, so we went to Sam's Club and got it for $1.89.    Good savings.  We rode in the country by all three other houses we used to live in.  Didn't see many trees down from the windy...only a couple.  Did see a big buck with a nice rack standing in a field we passed by.  Absolutely beautiful!  We were going on the road where my sister, Brenda used to live and saw a bunch of deer in a field. Didn't see any bucks though.  We saw Baynes wasn't busy, so stopped in and picked up an apple pie.  We ate burger buns when we got home and warmed up apple pie for dessert.  YUM!  Bill and I played 3-13...we went up the hill and then back down and he was the really and I mean really big winner.  Nice to have my sweetie so happy though.

Isaac and Peyton finishing the puzzle at their house.  They love working on it.
I planted some Iris bulbs Bill's sister Angie sent me.  They were Angie and Bill's grandma's Irises

Got up at 7:30.  Spent time in worship, the Word and prayer.  Best way to start my day!  I painted a coat of primer over where Kimmy spackled.   I made another batch of burger buns.  Did some reading, then went outside and planted the Iris Bulbs that were Bill's grandmas.  I went to the cemetery and put a wreath up at my mom and dad's gravesite.  I sure do miss them!  I asked Jesus to tell them I miss them and love them so much.  When I got home, it was time to paint a coat of green paint over the primer.  It turned out so good.  I sure should have taken a before picture.  Bill told me how great it looked.  Thanks again Kimmy!  We watched a movie on Amazon Prime called "Anythings Possible".  It was very good.  There was a 10 year old who played the piano and sang amazing.  Very touching movie!

Kimmy brought me new pictures of the boys today!  I am so happy! What handsome grandsons!

Bruce and Melissa took Jack and Evan to the park to rollerblade and hang out yesterday.  These are some pictures of all the fun...couldn't post the cute video.  Such fun for the boys!

Adam, Papa and Jacob sure had fun playing 3-13

This wall switch had a big gap between it and the wall.  Kimmy cut out a piece behind it and now it looks great

The air conditioner plug on the left had a piece out above the top of it and she fixed it too

The bottom area of the ceiling divider to the family room had lots of loose pieces hanging from a leak we had.  We got the leak fixed and were waiting for covid to get over before hiring someone to fix it.  Kimmy fixed it perfectly today for us.  I will paint it tomorrow.

Eli took his mask down for me to take this picture.

Kimmy and the boys came over.  I told Kimmy about not having hot water at the kitchen sink because somethings wrong with our faucet.  We still had cold water though.  She looked it up on google and was seeing things to try to fix it.  Bill went to coffee with Charlie, and he called me to tell me he had stopped at Menard's and wanted to know if he should pick up a faucet.  He found one with a lifetime warranty that was $200 and he could get $100 off of it.  I told him about Kimmy looking up how to fix the one we have and told him to wait on buying one.  When he got home, Kimmy showed him the video and they did it and fixed it so now we have hot water coming out with lots of pressure.  Yay Kimmy and Bill!  Next I was showing Kimmy the new light Bill hung in the kitchen, and was showing her how it dimmed.  The wall plate was sticking out quite a ways and Bill said I should just caulk around it.  She worked on it and cut a small corner out behind the plate and it fits perfectly and looks great now.  Then she fixed spot  by the air conditioner plug that needed some spackling.  She fixed it and I sanded and painted it.  Looks great now!  After that she started, scraping where we had the water leak and all the damage was.  She got it cleaned off and then spackled and sanded a few layers and got it looking great and all set for me to paint.  Thank you Kimmy.  You saved us lots of $ by working so hard and having the know how to fix stuff  You are amazing.  I touched up spots in the family room, utility room, kitchen and dining room that needed painting.   Everything looks so nice.  The boys helped Bill put his snow blower on the tractor and the cover to keep the snow off from him while we did the stuff inside. Thanks boys.  Vikki and the kids got here after they finished their school lessons.  We all ate pizza and burger buns for lunch except Kimmy.  I made her a big roll and she cut it in half and made a turkey and cheese sandwich.   Vikki got some Cranberry Apple Juice for us to try and it was delicious.  Bill, Jacob and Adam played 3-13 afterward.  Jacob was the big winner.  The other kids had fun playing together.  Jacob hooked the computer to the tv and showed us his minecraft stuff.  Pretty amazing!  Lots of hard work for Kimmy but sure was a great day and sure got lots done.  I talked to Melissa a couple of times.  She had an appointment on the phone with her doctor for her finger.  He said it takes 6 months to heal and however it is at that time is how it will stay.  Praying it is totally better.  After Kimmy left, I vacuumed and dusted everything and scrubbed the floors.
