Friday, 6/3/22, Planted the rest of the plants I bought, Vikki and the kids came over, Went to Meijer

So wonderful to be able to have Isaac and Peyton come visit and swim.  They were second and third in the pool this year.

I loved these baby goats.  They were so sweet and sure liked eating out of our hands

Cute pictures from Melissa and Bruce during their s'more time

This is so cool that Max got to pet and play with a fox.  I couldn't post the video, so just took a screenshot of Bruce's post.

I watered the plants I planted yesterday and watered the garden.  Had breakfast and iced coffee out on the deck and watched the birds.  I also did my Bible reading and prayer out there.  So peaceful.  Filled the oriole and hummingbird feeders.  Texted with Lela.  I was happy they were here safe and sound.  She sent me a picture of all the plants they planted at Kimmy's in her new garden area.  I think they brought like 48 plants.  Lots of work, so it is super special.  I know Kimmy and Jared are so happy and will love watching them all grow and so will I.

Vikki came over after she got out of work early to hang out on the deck until she had to get the kids from school.  She brought me a Beach Lemonade from Arby's for a surprise.  It was enough for 2 drinks after adding some water so it wasn't so strong.  It was the best lemonade ever! Thank you Vikki!!!  She picked up the kids at school, took them home to get their swimming suits, and came back so they could swim.  It was a super windy day, but they jumped right in.  They swam for quite a while.  Vikki had some goulash while they swam. When they got out, they were cold because of the wind.  I am waiting for a hot day before jumping in.  They both had goulash and wanted more. Vikki had a second helping too.  Jack and Evan had seconds last night.  The grandkids all love my goulash.  They left, and then I planted the rest of my plants in planters and pots for the deck.

We left shortly after that to go to Stacie's and pick up our pizza kits and also to see the goats.
Kody and DJ got home a few minutes after we got there and Kody showed us the baby goats.  They are so cute and friendly.  We all fed them from our hand and gave them lots of attention.  Kody got all A's and B's on his report card.  We were very proud of him.  He sure was happy to see us and we were happy to see him.

I went to Meijer and got some groceries for our camping trip.  I loaded them in the refrigerator and freezer in the camper.  Put things in the cupboard too.  Loaded quite a bit out there today.  Trying to get it done before Monday since I am going to Peyton's Dress Rehearsal for her play she sings in.  Tomorrow is Kevin's Memorial ride, Paige's graduation party and Adam's last soccer game.  I am excited to see Jared's parents at his game.

I have missed all of this dear family...So happy to see them, even if I could only see Peyton and Isaac through the car window.

iI read my Bible out on the deck and enjoyed my morning coffee.  Good reading in Colossians today.  Kit Kat laid next to me and wanted attention.  I fed the birds and then made oatmeal and ate out on the deck.  I started moving some shelves out of the garage and washed them, plus washed the baskets that go on them.  I made oatmeal and had some rhubarb out on the deck.

I planted my dahlias and gave them lots of water.  I used the blower to blow off the deck.  Glad the wind was blowing in a different direction today.

I picked Jack and Evan up and when we got to my house, Vikki was here.  She sat in her chair on the deck with her face mask on to make sure she protected us.  She is over the time they say and tomorrow she doesn't have to wear a mask any more.   Bruce and Melissa dropped Max off while they went to Hailey's Senior Banquet.  Max talked to Vikki lots about the wild animal rescue place he goes to.  He talked to me lots about it too when I finished making goulash.   Jack and Evan went swimming right away and stayed in a long time.  They had so much fun. We all ate (except Max...Bruce got him something on the way here)m Jack and Evan had two helpings.  Max helped Bill work on the electric fence. together.  Jack and Evan played air hockey and also Mario Cart.  Bill took Max home on the motorcycle and Max loved the ride.  When he got back, he took Jack for a nice ride, then he took Evan for a ride.  They both loved it too.  Papa let them both drive the tractor around and they both did great.  Papa and Jack had a light saber fight, then Jack and I had one.

Melissa came to pick them up and visited for a few minutes.  She looked so pretty in her outfit.  Sue called today and was worried about Charlie because he hasn't been feeling well.  He had a dr. appt. today and told Bill they said he has fluid on his lungs and his kidney's aren't getting enough fluid.  They are not working properly.  Sure and praying and would appreciate prayers for our dear friend.

Caught the mischievous raccoon!  Yay!
Evan playing Sorry with me
He sure was happy when he beat me.  It was super close.  We each needed to get one in and were only a few spaces away.
Max and Bill getting ready to put posts around the garden for an electric fence

Evan ready to blow the leaves out from under the pool deck....He asked for a mask, glasses and gloves....He was ready for the task at hand!
I was thankful he wanted to do this job and was strong enough.

He did such a good job, I had him blow off the tables and chairs and deck too.  He sure is a joyful worker
Bill and Max working on the posts

I was happy to catch the raccoon last night.  Bill took it right away and dropped it off.  I cleaned and organized a few things in the garage.  We cleaned out lots of stuff in the loft of the big shed we are selling, giving away, and donating.  We also did some organizing up there.

Got a pool water sample and Bill took it in for me when he went in to town.  Everything was great except we needed to add PH increaser which I already had here.  Bill picked Max up and took him to Culver's.  I messaged Melissa to see if Evan wanted to go to lunch with me and he replied a Big Yes right away.  She called me and I could hear he was very excited.  He picked McDonalds, so we picked up burgers, fries, a shake and a frappe and came to my house to eat it, which he also picked.  We had fun hanging out and he sure was a huge help blowing the leaves out from the storage areas under the pool deck.  We were surprised to see Bill and Max pull in. Max was a big help with putting the posts around the garden.  Nice to have lots of grandsons who are great helpers and help joyfully.

In the evening, we went to Eli's soccer game.  Eli played really well.  He sure moves fast and keeps his eye on the ball.  He's a leader out there too, helping the newer players know what to do.  It was fun watching them.  They all played hard and never gave up.  The other team was a super good team and scored points right away.  Our team scored a point near the end of the game.  Boy did we cheer for them!

I talked to Vikki.  Her car Hybrid light and another warning light came on.  Sure am praying it can be fixed and she can continue to have her gas saver.

Tues, 5/31/22.....Had breakfast with Maddy, Planted more of the garden and some flower pots, watered the gardens and flowers, then it rained a little too, trapping Mr. Raccoon hopefully

Made rhubarb sauce out of the rhubarb I picked from our garden

I picked Maddy up and we went to Bringer Inn for Breakfast.  She and baby are doing well.  Her due date is Sept. 3, so soon it will be only 3 months til baby arrives.

Came home and sat out on the deck and read my Bible and prayed.  I called Phyllis and talked to her to see how she is doing.  She is doing great and just had a scan and it was all clear of cancer.  Praising God for her miracle healing.

I did some weeding, did laundry and hung it out on the line,  checked on my plants.  I called Sue to see if she wanted me to bring her a concrete mixer, but her blood pressure was low and she was feeling tired, so we are going to do it another day.  She told me storms were supposed to be coming our way.  I checked and they had rain in the forecast, so I hung up and planted the squash and pumpkins, before it started raining.  I also started planting plants in my pots for on the porch.  It started raining, so I moved things in the garage and will finish planting tomorrow.  It only rained a couple of minutes, so I watered the gardens, some of my plants and the grass in a few spots where it dries out fast.  Bill made me a pole bean board for my garden so the beans climb up it and grow.  First time trying this.

The pool is warming up fast.  I sat with my feet in today and it sure felt good.  May be jumping in tomorrow.  Bill is ready too with all this heat and work we are doing.  I talked to Vikki and Kimmy and texted with Adam.  Adam sent me an amazing worship song to listen too.  Set the trap to catch Mr. or Mrs. raccoon tonight.

Monday, 5/30/22, Skimmed lots of helicopters out of pool, Bill blew off the deck, Got all the chemicals in the pool, temp is 70 degrees, planted the garden

Happy to see my first Monarch Butterfly this year on my lilac bush

Tons of helicopters flew off the tree today into the pool and onto the deck. The wind was aimed the wrong way in my opinion

Bill and I planted the garden.  We got done when it was getting dark out.

My battle scars from the fence encounter

I ate breakfast and had my coffee out on the deck, then read my Bible and did some praying out there.  Such a peaceful spot for that.  Kit Kat was feisty this morning and wouldn't let me pet her.  Then I went back out on the deck and sat down under the gazebo and heard a faint meow a few times.  I started looking for Kit Kat and couldn't find her.   I realized after that, that she had managed to get on the roof of the Gazebo and couldn't get down.  I did some assisting and moved the swing over, so she could jump onto the cover and then I could get her down.

Bill and I took the solar cover off of the pool and spread it out so we could brush all of the helicopters off of it when it was dry.  He helped me skim lots of them out of the pool.  I got all of the chemicals in the pool today, so it is all set.  Bill power washed the lounger chairs and outside tables.  He also power washed the winter pool cover.

Bill tilled the garden for the 3rd time.  He did it in that hot sun.  He doesn't mind working in the heat.  We went to Boehlers and got all of our plants, seeds and flowers.  I told him we could plant the garden in the evening when it was cooler, so that's what we did.  It was so easy to plant because he tilled it so good.  We worked until dark and tried putting the fence around it.  We did good at first, but then when it was dark, we couldn't see the fence really good and Bill got poked in the leg by the sharp wires, and I got poked close to my eye and then scratched on my cheek.  We decided to just hook it as best we could and we will redo what needs to be done tomorrow when it's light.  It was sure a busy day and we got lots done!  We cleaned up and relaxed in our recliners.  I talked to Kimmy, Vikki and Melissa today.  Texted with Jacob and Adam.
