Sat. June, 18, 2022, Hailey's graduation party today! Maddy's shower

Such a fun graduation party for Hailey.  Congratulations my Hailey Girl!  I am so proud of you!  I love you tons!

Melissa, Bruce, Hailey and boys came and we all worked on decorating and setting up things in the garage.  It looked great when it was done.  Hailey had some friends parties to go to.  I went to Maddy’s shower.  It was set up beautiful.  I only had a few minutes to stay there, but glad I got to be there.  Vikki came and we all set out the food when it was close to the time for people to come.  Kimmy came then and helped too.  Melissa and Bruce did amazing organizing and ordering everything.  The party started at 4 and went til 7 although some stayed later.  Lots of family and friends came and we all enjoyed the day.  Cathy and Tim came and stayed past time for it to be over.  We loved visiting with them and everyone.  My sister Brenda was supposed to come and wanted to help set up, but her daughter who wanted to come too, had two of her kids get sick, so they ended up not being able to come.  She sent us some sweet messages.  Hailey had fun and had lots of friends from school come.  Three of her friends stayed and hung out and played games til 11:30.  We were so happy everything went so well and God blessed us with a beautiful day in the 70’s.

Evan, Hailey and Jack

Kit Kat wanted to hang out where Abby was.  Max was keeping an eye out for Abby

They set the tent up in a perfect spot for it
Max, Abby, Bruce and Bill

I picked up some gift cards at Kroger, then picked up Hailey.  We met Debbie at I Hops.  We had a yummy breakfast and a great visit.  Debbie gave Hailey a really cute graduation ornament from Bronner's and a card with money in it.  I dropped off Hailey and saw the picture boards she and Melissa have been working on.  They are so nice.  Max and Bruce were loading up the van with pop and drinks to take to our house.  I visited for a few minutes with Melissa, then left for home.  I cleaned the kitchen, bathroom and utility rooms and mopped the floors.  Bruce and Max got here and unloaded the pop.  Bill and I helped them.  Mr. Parks and his kids came and we all helped carry stakes and poles and put them by the tent.  The kids really wanted to pet Kit Kat, but she was just wanting to be feisty and play.  I told Jada to come sit on the swing on the other side because that's where Kit Kat likes to sit and lets me pet her a long time.  Well she wasn't having anything to do with that today.  She just jumped down and wanted to bite at me.  Max came and sat with us and we all had a nice visit.  Max told her about seeing the movie, Jurassic Park, talked about the animals he helps with and also about some old laws that no one knows about any more these days.  He talked a lot with Jada's dad too.  He had him for a teacher and really liked him.  I gave the kids Fat Boy Ice cream sandwiches and Mr. Parks ice water.  I planted a plant tonight and moved some more stuff out of the garage.  Pulled some weeds too.

Bill and I went to Old Town and had coney dogs, fries and root beer for dinner.  It was so good.  We came back and I cleaned stuff out of the pool that had blown in from the cover yesterday.  Today it was very windy again, but the wind was blowing the right direction so it wasn't blowing stuff into the pool.

Melissa, Bruce and Max stopped over to bring some more stuff.  Tomorrow is the big day.
I texted with my sister, Brenda.  She was excited about coming to the graduation, but then
she was coming with her daughter and kids and the kids got sick.  Now she can't come, but we are planning a get together in August when she retires.

It was a busy day.  Looking forward to seeing lots of friends and family tomorrow.  Praying Hailey's special day is very blessed!

Thurs., 6/16/22, Happy Birthday to Mom Schaard in heaven, Worked on garage more for grad. party, Went shopping for Father's day with Vikki, Stopped at Melissa's, Melissa and Hailey came over, Vikki and Peyton came over and we swam

Worked on organizing garage.

Jacob helped me dust this wall.  It was covered with lint from the dryer exhaust.  Kimmy helped me wash the wall and it looks so nice now.

Evan came running out and gave me a nice hug and greeted me today
Bummer, came in and saw the suction cup holder fell and then saw that my plant starter glass container Kenzie made me broke.  She is going to fix it for me.

Got up early and had my breakfast and coffee out on the deck.  I played some amazing worship music,  then read my Bible.  Kit Kat came up on the swing for me to pet.  I caught another raccoon, so Bill took care of it for me. That's number 6.  I walked on the north side of the house and lots of mulch had blown all over the side walk.  I had heard it storm last night, but then went right back to sleep.  When I drove down the road a little ways from our house, there were lots of trees down and branches all over.  One big tree fell on a house.  That explained the mulch all over.  Rody said it looked like a small tornado touched down in Carrolton.  Sebewaing had lots of damage too.  Guess it was a pretty wild storm I slept through.

Vikki and I went to TSC to pick up Bill's Father's Day gift we are all going in on.  They didn't have one there like the computer had showed Kimmy.  We went to the Shield's store to see if they had it.  They didn't either.  Kimmy was going to pick one up at the Midland store she said, so we went to the bank to put the money in for Kimmy.  After that, we went to Arby's and had a Peach Lemonade and Arby's roast beef.  Yum!  It sure tasted good.  I had fun with Vikki.  She left and I started raking along the ditch where the workers mowed.  Lots of long grass laying out there.  Bill mowed the lawn.  I organized the garage more and it looks really nice.  Just a few last minute things to put in the storage cabinet once we take tables out.

Melissa and Hailey came over and brought banners, decorations and other stuff for the graduation party.  Melissa should be a party planner.  Everything looks so nice.  We held up the banners and set up pictures.  It was a super windy day, so we kept the garage door shut so things would stay put and nothing would blow in the garage.  Hailey had to leave, so I took Melissa to the Party Store and we found the banners and dishes she needed.  We stopped and got a Ice Capp on our way to her house.  We had so much fun!  Loved Evan's greeting when we got to her house.

Vikki and Peyton came over and we went for a swim.  The water was super warm and so nice to get into.  They helped me cover the pool and came in for a few minutes, then had to leave.

I had fun looking at all of the pictures of Hailey and her friends that will be in containers on the tables.  Such great pictures and memories for her.

I set the raccoon trap again.  Hopefully, I have caught them all now.  I also caught 1 opossum.

Bill and I enjoying hot fudge sundaes on this hot evening!

Washed windows and the glass door in the garage while it was still cool out.  Washed the wood work around the window which was really dirty too. Washed and hung out clothes.  Put chemicals in the pool.  Blew the leaves off the deck.  Got Chicken Fried rice out of the camper and put it on the cupboard to make for our lunch today.  Went out on the deck to read my Bible.  Kit Kat came and laid by me.  I talked to Sue for a while.  She is at home now, but it isn't easy with not being able to get around good.

Vikki and the kids came around 11 and so did Kimmy and the kids.  The kids all had fun spending the night together.  I got in the pool for the first time and cleaned it before Vikki and Kimmy swam.  It was very clean except some of the things off the tree that sunk to the bottom and had to be scooped out.  The water felt great and there was no problem getting in because it was so warm out.  I swam with the kids for a while, then Vikki got in and then Kimmy.  We sat on the deck visiting lot during the day.  This was a well deserved relaxing day after all the hard work yesterday.  It was too hot to do much anyhow

Lily came to swim with Peyton.  She was very sweet and nice to have around.  All the kids had fun swimming together and hanging out together.  Bill had fun swimming with the kids too.  Melissa, Bruce and Max came over too.  Bruce had to take the van in, so Melissa stayed her while he and Max did that.  We had fun visiting with her.  After Bruce and Max got back, Mr. Parks dropped off the tent for Saturday's party.  Bruce, Melissa and the kids left after that.  We visited more under the gazebo.  Bill and Jacob got the volleyball net out.  Kimmy had to sew one small part on it, but otherwise it looks great.  Everyone left, and then I went swimming again.  The water felt great and it was good to get some exercise although yesterday I got over 20,000 steps.  Adam walked on the treadmill today, besides getting lots of swimming exercise.

Bill went to the Marine Corp. League meeting.  When he got home he asked if I wanted to go out for ice cream.  Of course I said yes.

Fire pit bricks leveled and stacked right by Kimmy, Vikki, Adam and Jacob

A raccoon got in my trap, but moved the cage and the lid I had the food on got under the thing that makes the door go shut, so it didn't close and the bugger escaped.  Tonight I will be staking the cage down.  Kimmy and the boys and Vikki, Peyton and Isaac got her shortly after 8.  They wanted to work on the mulch, garden and fire pit while it was cool out.  Kimmy, Vikki and the boys worked on spreading another layer of mulch around the house, while Isaac and Peyton helped me clean the upstairs, the foyer, and the downstairs bathroom.  They were amazing helpers.  Peyton did all of the dusting and Isaac vacuumed.  I washed the counters and cleaned stuff in the bathroom, then scrubbed the bathroom.  Peyton washed the mirror.  We went outside and checked on the outside workers.  They were done when we were, and it sure looked nice.  Thank you everyone.

Kimmy, Vikki, Jacob and Adam took all of the bricks from around the fire pit and leveled the ground they sit on, then restocked them really level.  It looks beautiful!  Thank you again.

Bill, Jacob, Adam and I worked on cleaning out our garage while Kimmy and Vikki thinned the corn in the garden and weeded around all of the plants in the garden.  They worked so hard out in that hot sun.  Hailey came and sprayed everything down and cleaned the mats.  Lots of stuff in the garage needed washing off as it was covered in dust since my dryer vent is out there.  Hailey did a great job!  Thank you Hailey.  Bill power washed the garage floor. The boys put fans out there to dry it.  Then they went swimming and so did Hailey.  I went to help the girls thin corn and beets in the garden and weed around them.  They didn't want me to help, but I wanted to spend time with them.  Vikki cut down my chives.  They were going pretty wild.  Jacob helped me dust the wall where the lint was all over, and Kimmy came and helped me wash it.   Kimmy, Vikki, Bill, Jacob and I helped put stuff back in neatly.  The garage is so clean and looks amazing now.  Bill and the boys moved some things around.  Hailey had to leave after she swam.  When Vikki and Kimmy were finished with the garden, we all ate lunch.  I took Kimmy and Vikki each tubs of water to soak their feet and then served them lunch.  They are such hard workers with such joyful hearts.

Melissa, Jack and Evan came to visit.  The boys had fun swimming and we had fun visiting with Melissa.  Jack and Peyton went to spend the night at Kimmy's, and Adam, Jacob and Evan went to spend the night at Vikki's.  Melissa, Hailey and I went shopping for some things for Hailey's graduation party.  We went to Hobby Lobby, Target, Big Lots and Meijer and found everything they needed, something from each store.  \

It sure was a busy but also a very fun day with our precious family!

Set the raccoon trap and secured it....will see if I am successful in the morning.

Monday, 6/13/22, Hoed the new flower garden, trimmed some bushes, Lunch with Hailey, Weeded around front of pool and around house, Vikki and Peyton came over

Hailey and I enjoying our time at Coco Loco
Playing 3-13 with Vikki, Peyton and Papa...Peyton was the winner.  She kept getting all of the wild cards
Before and after picture of the bricks.   The top picture was when Bill first did it.  They started leaning more and more until the bricks would fall and not be able to be put back in.  I looks so nice now.

Went outside and hoed the new flower garden while it was nice and cool in the morning.  Fed the birds.  Caught an opossum so Bill took care of that.  He went with Charlie for breakfast.  I brought a few things in from the camper.  Covered the camper wheels to protect them.  Saw a chipmunk, so I set the trap to catch it.  Read my Bible outside and drank my coffee.  Went to pick up Hailey for lunch.  We went to our favorite place, Coco Loco.  We always get the same thing....Nachos with Beans and Beef.  We called Vikki to join us, but she had just ate.  Hailey and I went to take pop cans back to Meijer, but there were about 4 people in line with tons of cans in their carts.  Must have been a group.  We decided to try elsewhere.  We stopped at my house and Bill put a screen protector on Hailey's Apple Watch.  He picked up mulch and he and Max spread it in the bricked area around the tree.  They worked on the electric fence and made the entrance.  It was nice seeing and talking to Max.  I got him a Pepsi because he was pretty warm.  Hailey and I went to the other Meijer, and could put our cans in right away.  I asked Hailey if she had a sweet tooth, and told her my dad always asked me that and then would treat me to a Hershey bar.  If we weren't real hungry we would split one, but most of the time he got us whole ones.  It's a great memory.  She was too full, so I just got her Tic Tags to have later.
I took her home, then came home and finished the laundry.  I weeded around the house and by the front of the pool.  Also trimmed some bushes and a small tree.
Bill helped Vikki pick up a table someone let her have for free that is beautiful.  Afterward, she and Peyton came and brought us Salsa and chips and goulash for dinner.  She brought us candy bars for dessert.  What a sweet daughter.  Thank you so much Vikki.  Everything was delicious.  We played 3-13 afterward.  Peyton won and I came in second.  We had so much fun.  I talked to Melissa lots.
