Sat. 11/5/22, Made scrambled eggs and hash browns for the boys in the morning, another family day plus Claire which was fun

Eli, Evan and Jack had lots of fun playing basketball

Eli breaking the rules!

Playing 5 Crowns...Claire brought it for us to learn.  It is pretty much the same as 3-13 so everyone was happy to play it and caught on super fast
Kimmy, Adam, Vikki, Jared, Claire and Bill playing Skip Bo

Our tree last year on this day
Our tree today!
Peyton holding a cute puppy at the pet store
Sweet Brielle found her thumb.  She's so cute and her eye is so much better.
Strong winds today did this to Melissa and Bruce's Trampoline.  It broke the neighbors fence.  I felt so bad when Melissa told me because I know how much the kids love their trampoline.
Beautiful sunset tonight!

I was up for about an hour before the boys got up.  I blew the leaves off the deck and then put the grill away and covered it.  Didn't get to it last night and there were so many leaves, I didn't want to put it away til the deck was clean where it goes.  Jack came out when I was done and gave Kit Kat some attention.

I made scrambled eggs, hash browns and toast for breakfast.  Jack and Eli ate lots and Eli loved the chocolate milk I gave him.  Evan just wanted Lucky Charms.  The boys went outside to play basketball after they ate.  It was fun watching them.  Jack and Eli stayed outside while Evan and I came in to play ping pong.  Vikki, Adam and Peyton got here, so we didn't finish our game.  Adam took a shower here.  He always says he loves our shower.
Vikki trimmed my hair and did a great job.  She got her hair trimmed today and it looks great too.

Kimmy, Jared, Jacob got here shortly after Vikki.  Jared and Adam went to pick up Claire to come spend the day.  We all had a great time with her.  Melissa came at around 1 to spend the day too.  It was so much fun having her to hang out with here.  Everyone had fun playing games and hanging out together.  Vikki made some great bean dip to put on tortilla chips.  It was so good. Yum!  I put out stuff for sandwiches and then made bagel bites for Eli and Jack.  They each wanted more, and Vikki wanted to try one too, and Claire wanted one, but I talked her into two.  They played more games after we ate.  We ate late because I was cleaning my oven and the oven door wouldn't unlock until it was done and the oven was cool enough.  The kids had fun in the basement.  Jack, Eli, Melissa, Peyton, Jacob and I watched the movie Overcomer.  It was such a touching movie.

Vikki trimmed Melissa's hair too.  It looks really nice too!  Vikki does an amazing job.  We are so thankful she is always willing to do this for us.

Jared and Bill played ping pong and Bill won two games.  He will probably be sore tomorrow.  He and Jared are both great players.  Vikki and Peyton left, then Kimmy, Jared, the boys and Claire left next.  Melissa, Jack Bill and I had ice cream while Melissa waited for Bruce to come get them.  It was windy all day, but it got super windy out while we were eating our ice cream.  The tree branches on our huge maple were really moving the wind was blowing so hard.  The leaves around it blew away though.  That was one good thing.  They were blowing towards the field next to our neighbor's driveway.  The sun poked through the grey clouds and the winds calmed down a little bit.  Bruce and Evan got here and picked up Melissa and Jack.  Evan did great at his basketball practice.  The sunset was just beautiful.  Nothing like the beauty God creates.  I talked to Melissa and she sent me a picture of their broken trampoline the wind blew into the neighbors privacy fence.  I felt so bad for them.  The kids use the trampoline all the time and have so much fun on it.

Bill and I each had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich while we watched a good movie, called Prescription for Love on Amazon Prime.  It always takes a while to find one that is rated 7+ or all with no bad language or violence in it.  Always worth the hunt though.  We've watched so many good movies.

Bruce and Melissa on their date at Maple Grill.  I am so glad they had a good time!

I went to Bible Study.  Bill went to breakfast with Charlie, then picked Jack and Evan up to come spend the night. I talked to Kimmy on my way to Jack’s and in the parking lot.  Got to say hi to Adam too.  I picked up caramel apples for Jack and Evan.  Also pick up some burger to make hamburgers because I have Salmon thawed for Bill and I and don't think the boys will like it.  When I got home the boys were playing basketball and making lots of baskets.  Bill had taught them some moves, then he started picking up leaves in the yard with the tractor.  I made Individual pizzas for Jack and I and Evan just wanted cereal.  After we were done eating, Jack and I went downstairs to see how many times we could hit the ping pong ball back and forth.  We were stuck on 10 for a long time, then we made our goal 15.  We started and got up to 35. Yay!  We played a game after that.  I won, 21 to 17.  Evan came downstairs and wanted to hit the ball, so Jack played with him.  He kept hitting it way to hard so it would miss hitting the other side of the table.  We told him to hit it lightly, but he kept hitting it too hard.  He wanted to play a game, so Jack and him played.  Then he wanted to play a game with me and he hit the ball really good.  The end score was 15 to 21.

Vikki called and said Kimmy and family and her, Rody and the kids wanted to come over.  I was super happy.  Jack had wanted to spend time with Eli and it's always fun to spend family time together.  I made hamburgers up to cook on the grill and also got the salmon ready.  Kimmy called when they were leaving, so I put the salmon in the oven and put the burgers on the grill.  I also warmed up chicken noodle soup and made a salad so my Kimmy would have something she liked.  Vikki helped finish cooking the burgers and took them off the grill.  We all ate and and Bill, Rody, and I ate salmon, and the rest ate burgers except Kimmy of course. Vikki tried some salmon and so did Kimmy and Jack.  There was a burger for everyone.  There was one extra burger which Evan was super happy to get when everyone else was full.  We had brownies for dessert.

We watched Jacob in the CMU honors band on the tv.  The sound wasn't real good, so Jacob played them on the tv from his phone.  They sounded amazing and Jacob's solo's were just wonderful.  He's such an amazing musician.

Jared, Kimmy, Jacob, Adam, Vikki and I played Skip Bo with partners.  Jacob and Adam won.  We had fun playing even though Vikki and I made a couple of mistakes and missed some plays from our pile.  We sure had lots of laughs though.

Everyone left after that.  Adam went home to spend the night with Vikki and Eli spent the night at our house with Jack and Evan.  They watched the movie Puss N Boots and also watched a Zorro tv show.  It was sure a fun night.

We stopped at Meijer and spent our two $10 coupons.  Picked up chicken noodle soup for Bill to make to night since it National Men Cook Dinner Day
Bill cooking

Ate oatmeal for breakfast, made a coffee to go and then we hooked up the camper to the truck and headed to Birch Run to Camping World.  We walked through the store and some campers before heading to Frankenmuth.  We walked through some stores in Frankenmuth including Bronner’s and Zehenders.  We stopped on our way through Bridgeport and got donuts from our favorite bakery. Yum!

I went to meet Melissa and Evan to walk at the park while Jack was at basketball practice.  Bruce called me because he tried calling Melissa, but she didn’t answer.  It was Evan who needed to go to practice, not Jack.  I wasn’t too far away, so I picked Jack up and called Melissa.  Bruce said it was probably too late to get Evan back to practice, so we all walked around the pond.  The boys fed the fish.  We saw lots of small fish and some really big cat fish eating the bread they threw in. We finished walking, then Jack and I went to pick up Tim Hortons.  We went to Melissa’s and they enjoy their donuts and Melissa enjoyed her ice capp.  I was too full from my donuts and coffee I had earlier.  Evan showed me some of the Lego sets he’s put together and has on a shelf in the basement.  They looked pretty amazing!  I had so much fun hanging out with them on this nice 72 degree day.

Wed., Nov. 2. Michelle and Lydia came over, Melissa and Max came to visit, went to Evan's basketball game

Lydia loved the barn and toys I saved from when the grandkids were little.  It brought back so many good memories.
Bill, Max, Melissa, Michelle and I visited on the deck.  Have to enjoy these nice fall days!  We had a fire in the fire pit

Evan waiting for his turn to play
Evan in the black uniform on the far left.  He was always so fast running from one end of the court to the other!
Even in the circle in the center of the court

Jack, Bill, Evan and me!

Bill met Charlie for coffee.  It was such a beautiful morning, I decided to invite Michelle and her baby over for lunch.  They got here at noon.  Lydia played in the barnyard and had lots of fun.  My house isn't baby proofed so it worked well having some things to entertain her.  We ate lunch, then played with the baby, then watched some of Dave Ramsies daughter's videos on You Tube about budgeting and saving money.  She was really interesting.  Melissa and Max came to visit and it was so nice out, we sat on the deck and had the fire pit going.  They left so Max could get more school work done, then Michelle and I came inside.  Bill asked me if I was going to Evan's game.  Good thing he said something, because I didn't realize it was as late as it was.  Michelle and Lydia left, and Bill and I went to watch Evan play basketball.  He just started playing and sure is a super fast runner.  He just needs to get his confidence up and he will be a great player.  It was fun watching him.  The other team won.  They were from St. Peter's and sure made some amazing 3 point shots.  We had dinner, then did our Bible reading and study.  Just relaxed after that.

Vikki and I visiting on the swing...Kit Kat getting attention from Vikki while we visited
Rody, Vikki, me, Bill, Isaac and Peyton

I walked  1 1/2 miles on the treadmill this morning.  Bill took the garbage out, went to his dr. appt, then mowed the grass and picked up leaves with his tractor afterward.  I worked on my Bible Study lesson for quite a while.  Digging in the scriptures in different versions and concordances is amazing, but sure takes time.  I had a good phone visit with Melissa.  Gave Kit Kat some attention too!

Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came over after the kids got out of school.  Peyton and I had sloppy joes.  Isaac went out to help Papa unload wood from the trailer.  Peyton went out after she was done eating and helped.  Isaac drove the tractor pulling the trailers and did a great job.  Papa is always good at giving grandsons lessons on driving the tractor.  Vikki and I relaxed after her hard day at work, and had a nice time visiting.  We sat out on the deck with the gas fire pit going.  Bill joined us when he was done working.  It was so nice and so relaxing out there.  Enjoying these nice days while we have them.

We all met Rody at Bob Evans for dinner.  Vikki and I had a soup, salad and rolls.  The guys had breakfasts and so did Peyton and Isaac.  The twins breakfasts were free because it was Tuesday night kids eat free!  We had a super nice waitress.  The kids were so polite and used great manners.  We all walked around the new thrift store after we were done eating.
