After pictures
Bruce and Max out on the deck
Max shooting skeets!  Bruce sending them up.  Max did great.  Fun to watch him.  He wanted to know if I needed ear protection, so I just plugged my ears.
Me and Bill at Olive Garden
Jacob and Abi on their college friend Cedar Point Trip

Bill went to the Marine Corp. League Breakfast.  He asked me to go last night, and I told him I would, but this morning when my alarm went off, I changed my mind.  I have been staying up til after midnight each night, then the last two days I got up early because Abby wanted to go outside, so I was just too tired, and needed one sleep in day.

Bill got home and started mowing the grass, then washed both camp mats with the power washer.  I decided it was a good day to sand where Kimmy had mudded yesterday behind the stove and on the side under the cupboard.  I got that done, then painted the wall grey behind the stove and then the new spacer the guy put between the cupboards and the trim white.  Bruce and Max came to practice shooting with Bill.  They were here having fun for a long time.  I painted some cupboards that needed touching up too, and some door trim while I had the paint out.  It is so good to have that job done and see it looking nice.  Bill called the guy who put our larger stove in and put smaller cupboards in a few times back in March but he never answered those call and we haven’t heard anything from him.  Weird.  We waited 3 months, but finally decided it was time to do it ourselves.  Kimmy got the ball rolling when she was here yesterday and wanted to make the wall nice and smooth so I could paint it.  I FaceTimed her and showed her when it was finished today.  She was as happy as me.  I FaceTimed Melissa too.  I sent pictures to Vikki.  She called me and was talking about how nice the walker she has for Rehvyn is.  She told me she would keep looking for one like it for me because I told her I want one.  She found one right away, new in the box and the lady came down from $50 to $40.  Knew they are $99 and this one was still new in an unopened box.  Vikki came over and rode with me to get it.  She went up to the porch and got it and paid for it for me.  It is so nice and I know Rehvyn loves his Grammy’s so he will love this one just like it.  Can’t wait until he comes to try it out.
The walker for Rehvyn...just waiting for him to try it

Vikki had to get back home, and Bill and I were going to Olive Garden to eat, so she left and then we left too.  We got seated right away and both had Spaghetti and meatballs.  Bill had salad and I had soup.  We both took spaghetti home with us.  We were both really full!

We came home and I sat out on the porch listening to music from the Word of God.  It’s from Project of Love and was so wonderful.  A friend that heads up our prayer group sent three to me.  I sent one to Vikki to listen to.  I read along in the Bible the first time I listened to each song.  So awesome!  I read my devotion chapter on prayer after that.

Friday, 7/19/24, Kimmy, Adam, and Eli came over, Jacob went with Abi and some college friends to Ohio to go to Cedar Point, Vikki, Rehvyb, and Peyton came over, Charlie is still in ER, they are admitting him

Ha Ha, Abby has two nice beds here, but she usually picks the floor to sleep on
She was doing good today, walking and even wanting to come out on the deck with me.
Yay, Peyton came over.  She’s been serving at the church all week!  I have missed her!
I was so happy to see her and get a big hug today
Eli after Vikki trimmed his his burnt hair for him.  Such a great kid!
Adam...another great kid relaxing!
Kimmy and I took Rehvyn outside while Vikki trimmed Eli’s hair.  He always falls right to sleep when he’s outside swinging.  He’s so sweet!
Kimmy and I had fun talking to Eli outside.
She was throwing little ice pieces at him and kept missing, then one hit his shirt.  He put his fingers around his eyes and said she couldn’t throw them at him because he had glasses lol
Ha ha, she added glasses to the above picture.  We sure did laugh.

Eli sent me lots of kitty pictures.  I thought this one was so cute.

Such baby fun in these pictures.  They sure liked each other.  So cute how they are holding hands

Abby started barking at 7:15 this morning.  I waited for a few minutes, then got up to let her go outside.  She went right away, so I guess her barking and waking me up is a good thing.I called Sue this morning and offered to take her to see Charlie, but then remembered I had Abby and couldn’t leave her that long.  It ended up, she talked to Charlie and he didn’t want any visitors, he just wanted to rest after such a long tiring day yesterday.

I talked to Adam to see Kimmy planned on coming today where she’s getting ready for their big camping trip.  She called me and still wanted to come so I was very happy!  They got here and I made Kimmy and Eli cappuccinos.   Vikki, Peyton and Rehvyn came over too shortly after Kimmy got here.  I always look forward to our Friday get togethers.  We did lots of visiting, and ate egg, bacon and cheese sandwiches.  The boys wanted pizza so I made a pizza too.  Kimmy didn’t want me to make turkey bacon for her, so she just had an egg and cheese sandwich.  We went outside and sat on the swings.  Later, we all had drumsticks.

Vikki cut Eli’s burnt hair ends off for him.  His hair looks really good now.  Kimmy fixed the wall behind my stove, so I just have to sand it lightly and paint it and some of the cupboard.  The guy who worked on cutting our cupboards and putting in a normal sized stove hasn’t got back with us to finish the little bit that has to be done.  Bill tried calling him a couple times but he has never returned the calls.  You would think he would want to get paid, but it has been 3 months and not a word from him.  Today, Kimmy decided it would be a good project for us to do.  I am happy, because once the wall is ready I can get painting.

Bruce and Max picked up Abby this afternoon.  She was finally adjusting to having them gone and even wanting to come outside with me on the deck to sit on the swing.  She is such a sweet dog, I sure hate to see her getting old.  I tried to give her lots of attention.  She got lots more from Eli today.

Vikki and Peyton had to leave to get home because Stephanie was bringing her baby over to meet her cousin Rehvyn.  I bet they will be cute together.  Kimmy and the boys stayed longer and we sat on the deck where it was nice and cool.  Bruce and Max came to pick up Abby.  Max was so happy to see her and came and got her off my lap right away so he could hold her.  Eli showed Max the melted brass bar he made from all the shells that Max and Papa picked up.  Max thought that was cool.  I went to the window on Max’s side of the van and told Abby goodbye.  Max held her right up by me so I could say a good goodbye and pet her.  When we walked out the front door when Kimmy and the boys left, it was super hot.  Amazing the difference in the shade.

Charlie finally got put in a room at U of M Hospital today.  He needs to rest up now after all that.  He told Sue several doctors have been in to see him.  Praying for wisdom and them to help Charlie feel better.

Thurs. 7/18/24, Charlie went to St. Mary’s, they sent him to ER in Ann Arbor, I stayed home with Abby, picked more cucumbers,

Peyton and Rehvyn in the big chair at church

Pastor Dickenson, with Will and Isaac.  Don’t know who the kid in the green shirt is. They were on the clean up crew after Sport and Art VBS
Peyton and some more kids cleaning the church too

Me watching the Republican National Convention!  I am so excited for American to be Great Again!
Great message from Franklin Graham.  Such a wonderful message of TRUTH according to the Word of God. Such a moving prayer to our Lord and Savior.  All of the people speaking have been amazing!
Eli sent me pictures and videos of him melting brass tonight.  So cool
President Trump gave the best speech.  So thankful God protected him from that assassin’s bullet.  What a moving and touching speech!
Eli sent me pictures and videos of what he made tonight in his furnace!  He is amazing!

Picked more cucumbers today.  They sure are good.  I sent some cucumbers and vinegar I made with Vikki last night to give to Peyton.

Abby started barking at 7:30.  I got up and took her outside.  She went right away, and then I brought her in.   I thought I would go back to bed for a half hour, but Abby kept barking, so I got up.

I got a call from Sue asking if Bill could help take him to the hospital to have the fluid around his lungs drained.  They said he should go to the ER in Ann Arbor.  Bill took them home for Sue to pack some stuff.  He called for me to come meet them and ride with them, and I said yes, but then I thought about watching Abby and knew I had to stay here with her so I called him back and told him I couldn’t.

Bill texted me at 6:30 and said they were still waiting in the ER.  Then about a half hour later, he let me know they took Charlie back and were finding a bed for him to admit him.  Bill and Sue headed home.  When he got home, he was super hungry because he hadn’t eaten all day.  I made him eggs, toast and fried potatoes.

President Trump’s message was the best I ever heard him give!  God has touched his life!

Wed., 7/17/24, Picked up Boost drinks for Charlie, took Sue to drop their ballots off, Back to get 360 Boost drinks, watched Rehvyn

Peyton, Vikki, Rody and Isaac at VBS tonight

I got to watch Rehvyn while they were at VBS.  Love him so much!

I’m watching Abby too!  She’s being a good doggie!

In the morning I read my Bible and did my devotions.  Then I went to Meijer’s to pick up some Boost for Charlie.  I parked on the wrong side of the store because I didn’t know where to find it.  Someone helped me and it was on the complete opposite side of Meijer’s.  I picked up the flavors Charlie wanted.  I took it to their house.  Dick, their friend, was just getting to their house.  He is 93 and baked a blueberry pie this morning and took Charlie a piece.  Charlie was sitting at the table eating some of the pie and visiting with Dick.  He said he would stay with Sue while I took Sue to drop their ballots off at the township hall.  When we got back, Charlie was sitting in the living room visiting with Dick.  He ate about half of the piece of pie.  I got home and in my driveway when Sue called and said she forgot to tell me to get the 360 Boost Plus.  I didn’t know there were different kinds.  I picked her up and we went together and took the wrong kind back and got the right kind.  Then we went back to her house and took them in for Charlie.  I came home after that.

At 5:15, Vikki brought Rehvyn over for me to watch while she went to help out at VBS at church.   I put Rehvyn in the walker and asked Bill to watch him while I took Abby outside.
Abby’s getting old and it’s hard for her to walk far now.  When I came in, Bill was holding Rehvyn and he was crying hard.  Bill said he doesn’t want to sit, he doesn’t want to lay down!!!  I took him and got his blanket and pacifier and went and sat on the swing outside.  He loved that and in about 15 minutes was sound asleep.  I laid in on the sectional couch and put the stool in front of him so he wouldn’t fall off.  I stayed in there and was reading while he slept.  He woke up in about 30 minutes and was happy for a while until it was close to time to eat.  He drank his bottle fast and was happy.  Then he played with toys and laughed some too.  He was so cute.  He sat in front of the couch and did so good playing without falling over.  He has great balance now and sure is focused on what he’s playing with.

I put Abby out a couple of more times and she was a good doggie.  I gave her treats each time.

Vikki came and picked up Rehvyn.  I sent some cucumbers from the garden home with her and also some cucumbers in vinegar I had made last night for Peyton to have.

Tuesday, 7/16/24, Hoed the garden, fed the birds, relaxed and put on praise music, went to Sam’s Club, went to Vikki’s, watched the amazing Republican Convention!

Rehvyn liked the blanket my mom got for Kenzie at a bazaar when she was a baby.  Kenzie used to love it too.  It’s a great memory of my mom wanting to get something she thought Kenzie would really like.
He loved the puffs
Lucy loved it to lol!

I drank a protein drink, then went outside right away to hoe the garden.  With all the rain we’ve had, lots of little new weeds were coming.  I did lots of hoeing and lots of picking up weeds and putting them in a bucket.  I was really hot and tired when I finished the last plants.  I fed the birds, then came in and drank water and ate watermelon.  Then I played worship music and just relaxed for a while.  Vikki called and said Kimmy was over, so I showered, got ready and went to Sam’s Club to get gas and to pick up protein drinks for Vikki.  I went to her house after that.  I was really happy to see Rehvyn there.  He was happy and smiling lots on Kimmy’s lap.  I had told Vikki I wasn’t hungry because I ate when she texted me she had pizza.  Then when I was leaving Sam’s, I got hungry and got a huge piece of Pizza (about 3 slices put into one) and a big lemonade for $2.65.  Adam came out when I got to Vikki’s and carried in the protein drinks.  I carried my pizza and lemonade in.  I waited til I got to Vikki’s to eat it.  I cut it in half because I knew I couldn’t eat the whole thing.  After I finished eating, I held Rehvyn.  He is just so sweet and so cute.  He’s a smart baby too.  Kenzie picked up Eli from Melissa’s and then they went to McDonalds.  They can to Vikki’s after that.  Kenzie put the blanket that was hers as a baby down and put Rehvyn by it.  He tried right away to touch it, especially the puffs.  She laid him on it and he loved it.  He was so cute.   She left shortly after and Kimmy, Vikki, Eli and Rehvyn stayed on the porch visiting.  Adam had a headache, so I went into the living room and laid hands on his head and prayed for him.  I sure do love him and don’t want to see him have those headaches.  Kimmy, Eli and Adam had to leave, so I left Vikki’s first so I could get home and get the super dog tie down steak to put in the ground and just run it out to Kimmy.  Bill was home getting the mail.  He had mowed the lawn today too.  Kimmy came and I ran out the stake to her.

In the evening, I listened to the speakers of the Republican National Convention.  What amazing speakers and people who love America, love God and want to make America Great again.  I loved hearing Ben Carson,  Rick Desantus and Lara Trump.  It is just an amazing Convention this year.
