Monday, 2/20/23, Jack spent the day, Jacob's concert in the evening, watched a movie

Bill and Jack saw this awful accident this morning.  Praise God, the person is ok, just bruised up a little
Jack learned to play our new game today.  We had so much fun!  Another handsome grandson.
Jack and Bill playing ping pong.  Bill taught Jack lots about the game today, and took him to get new paddles which we really needed.  I played a game with Jack before they played.
Daffodils are poking through
Beautiful sunset on our way to Jacob's concert

Jacob walking to his seat.  Isn't he handsome!
Jacob and his two friends

Me, Jacob and Bill after the concert.  Jacob got out of his tux as fast as he could lol.

I was going to walk on the treadmill after I ate my oatmeal and drank my coffee, but Melissa called and Jack had the day off from school, so we were blessed to have him come spend the day with us.  I got my exercise playing ping pong with him.  Then I got my mental exercise playing Skyjo with him and Bill.  I was the winner, so it really gave me exercise lol.  Bill played lots of games of ping pong with Jack after that.  They wanted spaghetti for dinner, so I started making it.  Kimmy called and let me know Jacob had a concert at 7.  I called Melissa right away to let her know Jack wanted to go home instead of going to the concert.  I quickly finished dinner and made sure Jack ate before Melissa picked him up.  She visited for a couple of minutes, but we had to leave pretty quickly after she got her so she didn't stay long.  It was nice to see her if only for a few minutes though.

Bill and I made it to the concert 10 minutes early and Kimmy and Jared were there saving seats for us.  It was sure an amazing concert with great songs and much talent.  We loved watching and listening to Jacob play.  He sure is talented.  He did great with his solo part.
We waited for a while for Jacob to come out after the concert.  He took his tux off and that's what Kimmy told me he would do.  Mom knows her boy well.  We were happy to get to tell him how much we loved his concert and playing and also got a good hug.

We came home and watched the movie, Second Chances.  It was good.

Sunday, 2/19/23, Went to prayer, then church, lunch at Applebees, ice cream at Mooney's.

Rody brought a cord to connect our record player/tape player, cd player, radio to the soundboard under our television.  We had big speakers before that took up lots of room.  So nice to have it looks so nice.  Thanks Rody and Isaac.  Isaac always is his helper.
Cute picture Melissa sent me of Hailey with Abby and Riley
Cool picture of Adam with his new fish tank in his room

Did some prayer and Bible reading in the morning.  We went to prayer at church, then went to the service.  Worship was amazing and Pastor gave a great message.  Vikki worked in the back caring for Thomas who has special needs. He is such a sweet boy.  After church, we met a lady who was from Frankenmuth and has been coming to our church for 3 weeks.  Bill told her he grew up in Frankenmuth and then introduced her to Debbie and Jeff who live in Frankenmuth. We all decided to go to lunch and invited her to come.  Her name is spelled weird, but is pronounced Yolena.  We enjoyed getting to know her better and she was happy we invited her.  Debbie, Jeff, Todd and Lisa came with us and we ate at Applebees.  We used a gift card Chris and Tina had given us for Christmas.

We came home and took a nap.  Sure felt good.  I started reading on my book when I got up.  At 6:15, we left and went to Mooney's to meet Tina and Chris.  They are some of our favorite friends.  They had given us a Mooney's gift certificate a year ago, and we had saved it to use when we took them there.  We all ordered ice cream and than sat and visited for a long time and enjoyed each other's company.

We watched a movie called "Life Changes Everything".  What a great meaning at the end.

Kimmy’s beautiful caulking job!

Bill and I went to the Marine Corp. Breakfast.  Jack and Eli were still sleeping since they were up really late.  When we got home, the boys were up (they hadn't been up long and didn't even see my note).  I picked up a half gallon of milk, and he boys had cereal when we got home.  They hung out in the basement for a while.  Someone had called, and came to look at the couch and loveseat Bill put on Facebook Marketplace.  Just last night he had said we should just take it somewhere and give it away.  The person that came bought it for $200.  the couch had lots of wear, but they still wanted it.  It is a really comfy couch.  The boys helped load it and the afterwards went outside to hang out.  Vikki called me and wanted me to go with her to Hobby Lobby and Goodwill.  It was fun hanging out with her and having her look for some things for the wall by our new table.  We got some good ideas and I did buy a vase that was on sale and some flowers to put in it.  We went to get Taco's afterward and Vikki blessed me and treated me.  Thank you Vikki.  I took her back to her car and she picked up Peyton and was at my house when I got there.  I took my watch charger stand back to 5 Below and returned it.

Kimmy and Jared came over.  The guys played ping pong and the girls rearranged some furniture for me and made the family room and living room look amazing.  Rody scraped the old caulk off the kitchen cupboard and I helped.  Kimmy recaulked the whole thing and made it look amazing.  Melissa came over to get Jack and was able to visit and see everything.  She has been busy having a foster dog to help train.  How nice to have such an amazing family, always willing to help.  I put pizza in for the kids and heated the chicken rice casserole for the adults.  How nice having everyone over.  I love my family!

Friday, 2/17/23, All schools cancelled, my Bible Study cancelled too, Eli and Jack spent the night

Made chicken rice casserole for dinner....made pizza for the boys!

Jack, Bill and Eli....our first guests at the table

Bill went out to snow blow the driveway right away.  It had snow and also a layer of ice underneath.  He met a man from our church who is a veteran to disciple him.  My Bible Study was cancelled, so I did some reorganizing.  I sent out several cards and texted with our niece Stephanie who has been diagnosed with breast cancer and will be having hormone therapy and radiation.  Sure am praying for her.  Maddy texted me and needed prayer too.  Her medicine was affecting her bad.  I got the girls praying too.

I got a call from Eli and he wanted to know if he and Jack could spend the night.  Of course I said yes.  I saw I was getting a text from Jack wondering the same thing.  He was happy to hear they could spend the night too.  Kimmy and Jared dropped Eli off, but had to get Jacob and Adam each somewhere, so couldn't come in.  Melissa was going to drop Jack off, but ended up having Christina and some friends come bring 5 Shelties over, so 6 including Vader. They are going to help foster a dog being trained to be a service dog.  I ended up going to get Jack so he could come her faster.  The boys ate pizza and we ate chicken rice casserole.  Afterward, the boys had fun hanging out together.  Bill and I watched a good movie called "The Current".  Vikki and Rody went to the Temple Theater to see a Christian Comedian.

Thurs., 2/16/23, Breakfast with Maddy and Brielle, Walked around the Midland Mall, Snow and Ice storm,

Beautiful cardinal this morning
I forgot to take a picture of Brielle until she was in her carseat.  She smiled so sweet with her bop in

She didn't smile when we took her bop out, but she sure looked cute

Heading home in snowstorm today

Bill met Charlie for breakfast, before Charlie had to go have fluid drained off his other lung.
I picked up Maddy and Brielle and we went to Bob Evans for breakfast.  She was in still in pain and had burns from the shock treatment yesterday.  I carried Brielle in for her and the backpack, because I didn't want her to overdo.  It was sure nice getting together.  We went to get her prescriptions afterwards, but they weren't ready.  I dropped them off at their house, then went home to go to an appointment with Bill.  We decided to go and walk around the mall after we were done with our appt.  We ate lunch at the Railtrail Restaurant which used to be in Sanford and now is in the mall.  We had perch and it was really good.  When we left, we saw it had been snowing hard.  Bill drove slow on the way home, because it was slick out.  I was happy to get home.  To took a short nap.

I talked to Melissa for a while, and talked to Vikki for a few times.  We watched a movie called "Where are you God" and had ice cream for a snack.

Wed., 2/15/23, Our furniture was delivered, Went to Kimmy's, Vikki and the kids came over, Bill went to Marine Corp. League meeting

It was raining pretty hard before the furniture was delivered, but when they pulled in the driveway the sun poked through and it quit raining.  Good timing!
Our new furniture came this morning...

We are getting one more chair tomorrow

New sectional and ottoman

Jared with his card and gift card we gave him looking really silly doing what the card said.  Kimmy sent the picture to me which I really appreciated lol.

Wyatt playing and Jacob in the background playing his game
Wyatt loves his soft rug
Me, Jacob and Wyatt

We got up and got the furniture back in the family room before they delivered the furniture.  They came at 8:55 and put everything where we wanted it to go.  It all looks so nice.
I face timed each of the girls to show them.

I prayed lots for Maddy and Charlie.  Maddy's heart didn't go back into rhythm, so she had to have it shocked.  It was painful and she has burns, but they did find out there is a procedure they can do to fix her heart problem.  If they don't do it she could have a stroke or cardiac arrest.  We are thankful they can help her.  Charlie had almost 2 liters of fluid drained from one of his lungs.  Tomorrow he will have the other lung done.  He did well today.

I left for Kimmy's after that.  It was super windy out, but the temperature was 50 degrees.  Wyatt was super excited to see me and I was happy to see him.  I was sure happy to see Kimmy and also see Jacob and be able to spend time with him before he went to school.  Kimmy showed me all of the fish tanks with their new fish. She sure had some fish tales to tell about their fish adventures.  She is learning lots.  She made me a delicious coffee with just the right amount of creamer.  We visited while we drank our coffee, then we decided to play 3-13 before Jacob had to be to school.  We got up to round 10, then had to quit to take Jacob to school.  In the last hand, I ended up in first place just by 3 points even though Kimmy had been in the negatives.  When we got home,  Kimmy warmed up sloppy Joes for us and put chips out for us.  We played the rest of our game, and Kimmy was ahead, but in the last round, I ended up going out and sticking her with lots of points and won.

When Kimmy had to go pick up the kids from school, I left for home.  Vikki called me on the way, and asked if she and the kids could come see the furniture after the kids got out of school.  They came over and while they were here, Isaac set up the family room tv and hooked up the ROKU.  Then Bill and Isaac were in the living room and he set up our new tv and even had Bill's phone connected to control it.  Then he set up my phone too.  Papa told him he was a little genius, and was so happy to have this done.  We were going to ask Rody, but now don't need to.  We sure are happy Isaac is so good at this stuff and loves doing it.

In the evening, Bill went to the Marine Corp. League meeting.  I worked on my Bible Study lesson.  Then I watched some old Ozzie and Harriet episodes.  I had some good laughs.

Bill got home and we watched another Left Behind movie.  We sure enjoyed sitting in our family room by the fireplace on our comfy furniture.  Very thankful.

Tues, 2/14/23, Happy 50th Birthday Jared, Happy Valentine's Day, Got new Smart TV, Shampooed carpet again, shampooed chair Vikki gave us,

Happy Birthday to our Son in Love!  We are so thankful he is part of our family! Kimmy made the cake and Jacob put the candles on it.  Fire hazard for sure lol!

Nice Flowers and Balloon from Bill for Valentine's.  He didn't listen to me.  I told him our new furniture and TV would be our Valentines gift to each other, so not to get anything else.
This is the first time shampooing.  Shampooed it again and it looks so good.
Saw two of my sweeties tonight when we picked up the chair from Vikki.  Peyton with the things her friends gave her for Valentine's Day.  Isaac relaxing.  He played the piano while we were there and sure is amazing.  Loved sitting there listening to him.

I am so sad about the shooting at Michigan State University.  I have been doing lots of praying.  So many hurting hearts to pray for.  So hard to understand this happening.

We celebrated Valentine's Day by going to Tim Hortons.  Went to Best Buy afterward, and bought a new Smart TV that was on sale.  Then we came home and spent a lot of time working on setting it up and looking at everything.  Pretty amazing to see all it has and how easy it is.  We moved our other TV to the family room and moved the family room tv to the basement.  Then I shampooed our family room carpet again. Had to put some vinegar and water on a couple of old spills that I didn't know had happened.  Then is put some paper towels down and also a towel and stepped on them to get the stain out.  The paper towels and towel turned brownish and after that ended, I shampooed the spots again.  It sure looks great now and I sure am glad the spots came out.

In the evening, we went to Vikki's to pick up a nice chair she gave us.  It will look nice with our new furniture.  I shampooed it when I got home and the cushions will be dry by morning.  It looks so nice.  Thank you Vikki!  It was so nice to see the kids and listen to Isaac play the piano.

I talked to Kimmy, Melissa and Vikki today.  Maddy texted me.  She went in for her tilt test and ended up in A Fib.  They admitted her to the hospital and are trying to get her rhythm back.  If they can't, then they will have to shock her which she doesn't want to happen.  I put her on the church prayer page, and also got the girls praying for her.  She texted me later and is having side affects from the medicine.  She sure is missing baby Brielle.
