I got up early.  I put the baked beans I had baked last night in the crockpot so they would be warm for the reunion.  I read my Bible.  Bill got up and came in and read his Bible too.  We did our Devotion together.  We got ready and the nwe packed everything in the Jeep.  We were happy everything fit.  We left and headed to Carol’s.  We had time so we went in and visited with her and Angie for a while, then we put Angie’s veggies and dip for the reunion in our cooler.  Carol is unable to go to the family reunion because she has COPD.
Angie rode with us.  It was a nice ride. Bill got out after a while and snapped Angie’s window in the back so it was sealed and didn’t let the noisy air blow in.  Angie was having trouble hearing us.  It took over an hour to get to Fred’s house.  He was outside when we got there and welcomed us.  He helped us carry everything in too.  We went inside and greeted Bill’s sister, Pam, who had flown in from N. Carolina.  It was so good to see her and get to spend time with her.  She had brought each of us girls, a beautiful tin of English tea from England where she and Dick go for part of the year to live because he is from there.  She brought Bill a bag with Cheese Its,  a bag with real cheese curds, and a cheese square to squish.  He hates cheese!!!  Then she also gave him a nice package of chocolates.

Fred grilled brats and burgers on the grill which were delicious.  Shani made potato salad that was yummy.  There was delicious fruit the girls brought. (I brought Melissa’s because they were at dog camp camping, so I told her I would bring pineapple and musk melon for her.   Angie brought the veggies and dip.  Everyone liked the chocolate covered strawberries Hailey and I made.  Tom asked me if I would pack up about 8 of them for him to take home, so I did.  He was pretty happy to have them.  Pam left because she had to get to the airport to fly home.  Freddie, Ashton and the boys left.  Then the rest of us left after helping clean up.
It was such a fun reunion and so good to see everyone.  We all really missed Kimmy, Jared and the boys.  I sent her texts because everyone wanted them to know they missed them and love them.  We took Angie back to Carol’s.  Vikki, Rody, Isaac and Rehvyn were behind us for a ways, then they took Rehvyn home and picked up Peyton because she went home with Kenzie.
I was happy to talk to Kimmy when I got home.  She had a popped hear that was bugging her because she could hear herself so loud.  Poor girl.  I can’t wait until she is back to normal and felling great.  I am really missing my Kimmy and her family.

I was trying to do the blog, but I fell asleep sitting up.  I was tired from getting up early, plus tomorrow we get up early so we can leave by 7:30 to go to a church crash for CMA in Sebewaing.  When I woke up, Bill told me I had slept for an hour.  I quit my blog and went to bed when he did.

Friday, 8/14/26, Went to Isaac’s Marching Band presentation, went to Jack’s and Meijer, Hailey came over, she brought banana bread all mixed up and baked us a loaf and another loaf, helped me do chocolate covered strawberries, went to Culvers with us, Bill and I got gas for $1 off 30 gal, He got a carwash and I went to Sam’s, made baked beans, cut up pineapple, musk melon

Isaac in the marching band’s presentation of what they are doing pre game and half time for Homecoming.  They did a great job!
Isaac in the center

Bill’s camera takes great closeups from far away!

Hailey was such a blessing making us banana bread.  She was also amazing at doing half of the chocolate covered strawberries.  A huge thank you Hailey!

I got up at 7:30 so I could read my Bible before things got busy.  I took my shower, did my hair, ran the pool filter for an hour, and filled Kit Kat’s self feeder and put it outside.  Bill got up around 8:30 and read his Bible.  He left to go get water jugs from Shays.  At 10:45 I left to go to Isaac’s Marching band presentation.  Vikki called and they were on their way at the same time and Bill called me and he was on his way there too.  We all got there at the same time.  We sat in the middle of the bleachers in the shade and all had our stadium seats to be comfortable.  I brought Bill’s for him.  I gave my Peyton a big hug when I saw her.  She carried Papa’s stadium seat for me.  We all enjoyed watching Isaac in the marching band.  He and all the band did a great job and sounded wonderful.

I went to Jacks after that and got some safflower seed.  I looked at their strawberries but they didn’t look real good.  I went to Meijer’s next and got 6 containers of strawberries, some baked beans, some creamer and some nice stick things to put in the strawberries when they are ready to dip in chocolate.  Hailey called to see if she could come over an bake banana bread.  She had it all mixed up, but didn’t realize there were any walnuts at her house.  She knows we like lots of walnuts on ours.  We got to my house at around the same time.  We went to Aldi to get some walnuts, came back home and she baked the banana bread.  Then she helped me dip get the strawberries ready and then dip them into melted chocolate. She did the dark chocolate, and did an amazing job.  She even took the extra chocolate and made swirls on some of hers.  Hers were designer!

When the banana bread was done, Bill had the first piece when it was really warm.  After I finished my strawberries, I ate a piece of banana bread.  It was so super delicious.  YUM!
Bill put a new screen protecter on my phone and also on my watch.  He did a nice job and it sure is nice to have them looking good again.  We went to Culver’s for dinner.  I got a hamburger kids meal which is more than enough and so good.  We came back to our house and hung out another half hour.  I had put the other loaf of banana bread in parchment paper and in a ziplock bag.

Hailey left and took the other loaf of banana bread.  I think she made it for her Aunt Vikki because she had told me she didn’t realize Aunt Vikki didn’t like walnuts on hers.  She didn’t eat any when we were eating ours at BayShorei.  She only likes to bake it.  That’s good.   I could eat more, but I’m too full, so will wait til morning.

I cut up a musk melon for tomorrow. I cut the second one an it was rotten.  I think it is ok to use to catch the woodchuck.  I put it in the live trap so hope I catch the bugger.  I cut up a pineapple too and it was good. Then I noticed I had a device that cores the pineapple.  I used it and it sliced it Ito.  It was more ripe than the first one.  I put everything in containers to take tomorrow.  I put everything in container s and put them in the refrigerator.

I’m going to bed early, at 11,  tonight.  Getting up early to get ready and then pack up everything we have to take to Fred’s for our family reunion.

Thursday, 8/13/26, Bill went to Veterans luncheon, I cut up more cucumbers from the garden, went shopping at Meijer and Aldi, Cindy came over, Maddy came over

Bill took a picture of my new phone case for me
Put the sprinkler on this part of the garden last night.  Plants are sure happier.  Did the end tonight after this picture.
Melissa, Lydia and Jack all made the BayShore Facebook Page today.  They are at dog camp at BayShore.

We got up and read our Bibles right away and did our devotion together.  So good!  I called Kimmy to check on her.  She said her headaches are gone and her sore throat which is great.  She is still pretty congested though.  Bill and I prayed for her and are continuing to pray.  We told her she should go to Urgent Care, but she said she’s ok.  I sure don’t like it when my Kimmy is sick.  We are very thankful no one else has caught it.  We had a bowl of blueberries for our breakfast.  Bill had a protein drink too.

Bill went to a luncheon for Veterans.  He was asked to say the prayer by a friend of his.  He had a good time.  I cut up a couple of more cucumbers and soaked them in salt water for a few hours.

I filled all of the bird baths.  I saw a lot of birds on the little bird bath that was low on water.  All of the others were empty.  They were happy when they were filled again.  Poor birds need a drink and need to cool down.  My new phone case came today.  Bill just ordered it for me yesterday.  It’s a pretty flower print.

I went shopping at Meijer for strawberries, but I decided to wait until tomorrow because I want them really fresh for Saturday at the party.  I returned a dress while I was there.  I went to Aldi after that.  Got three clothes baskets that are square.  My last one I got 5 years ago, broke.  They are super nice for hauling food out to the camper.  Light to carry when loading the cupboards and refrigerator.  The price was right at Aldi too at $3.49

I came home and got here right before Cindy came.  We had stuff for her to pick up for a CMA event they are having a booth at.  She also helped Bill with a map of CMA chapters.  She is really great at flyers and pretty much everything on the computer.  She is such a blessing!

I rinsed the cucumbers and put them in the vinegar/sugar solution.  Also cut up onions to add.  We had spaghetti again for dinner and I had a bowl of cucumbers.

Maddy came over after her exercise workout.  We had a nice visit and enjoyed coffee and blueberry muffins.  She stayed for about an hour, then had to go home.  We walked out and looked at the garden before she left.

I worked on my blog after that.  Bill caught up on his phone stuff.

Wed., 8/12/26, Picked up Evan, then picked up Lydia, went to BayShore for Dog Camp, met with Dustin and Sarah while there about State Rally, Hailey came to visit,

Bill, me, Evan and Lydia riding in the Jeep on the way to BayShore.  Just had bars on instead of doors.  Windy riding like that, so we all had hats on.  Fun time!
Jack with Drako, and Kaylin with Justice
We went to McDonalds for lunch in Sebewaing.  The Kids couldn’t resist getting a picture with Ronald McDonald.  Kenzie had her picture taken with the same Ronald when she was around 10.
Bruce, Max with Vader, Bill and me

Evan, me and Papa hanging out with Melissa and Bruce at their camper

Jack after a refreshing swim.  It was a hot and muggy day in the mid 80’s
Went by my friend, Vikki’s, previous house on our way to BayShore and they put grey siding on and redid the windows and made it look so cute.   I sent her a picture and she was happy to see the people were keeping it up nicely.

Got up early, got ready, packed drinks, breakfast bars, snacks, and red licorice for the trip. Picked Evan up at 9.  It wasn’t supposed to rain, but it looked like it was going to so we checked the radar. It was raining in the direction we were going.  Bill stopped and Evan put his bag and some stuff he didn’t want getting wet up with me.  We got a couple of sprinkles, but not enough to get any thing wet.  We picked Lydia up at 9:30 and Evan put her stuff in the back, and put his stuff back there again too.  We went for a few miles and it started sprinkling lightly. Bill stopped again and asked them to check to see if things were getting wet in the back.  They said no and didn’t want to move stuff, so we continued on.  The rain stopped shortly after that.  We stopped at Tim Horton’s and picked up a dozen donuts, plus a specialty pistachio chocolate donut (for Lydia) and specialty drinks for Evan and Lydia.  Bill and I had brought coffee from home.  We ate our donuts on the way.  We made it to BayShore and parked by Melissa and Bruce’s camper.  They were happy to get the donuts.  Max was super happy to get donuts.  He picked out a Boston Cream one.  Melissa and I walked to watch Jack with Drako.  Evan and Lydia went on a bike ride and Max went to the office with Bruce and got set up for taking another exam that his professor was late sending.
At 12:30, Melissa, Bill, Evan, Lydia and I went to get lunch at McDonalds.   We ate there.
Jack, Evan and Lydia went swimming when we got back.  It was hot and humid so they were happy the pool was open.  Bill and I had to go to a meeting with Dustin and Sarah at BayShore about our State Rally.  That took about an hour and went very well.  Liz has always been there to help us, but she retired and now Dustin is taking her place.  He is doing a great job.

We went back and visited for a little while longer, then said our goodbyes and left.  We tried to call Roy and Marie, but they didn’t answer.  We were going to stop at their house for a short visit.  When we went by their house, there was no one home.  We got home and read our Bibles and did our devotions.  We ate spaghetti for dinner.  Hailey called so she came to visit for a half hour.  She was meeting a friend for dinner and had a half hour wait.  We were happy she came over and had a nice visit with her.  Papa gave her some Oreos and he had some with her.  She got one of Kimmy’s tumblers and put ice and water in it.  She’s just like me and thinks water tastes better in a Kimmy or Jared Tumbler.

I watered the garden since we haven’t gotten any of the rain they have predicted.  I watered my flower garden too.  Hope we still get rain.  Things are really dry.  Bill tried the battery operated weed wacker I got him for his birthday and said it works great.  He doesn’t have to adjust the string on it because it’s self adjusting and it’s easy to start.  Just what he needed.
He did around my flower garden and it looks so much better.  I raked up the grass afterwards.  I had to put more water in my fish pond today because it was about 1 1/2 inches low.....hot days and no rain.  I’m sure the fish like it cooled off a little.

I worked on my blog, talked to Vikki for a long time and worked on my blog more.

Tues. 8/11/26, Bill took garbage out, then went to men’s breakfast, I washed out oriole jelly containers, watered thirsty plants inside and out, filled bird feeders, washed muck boots and crocks, picked garden, went to Flint Chapter Meeting

Ate the soup Kenze had made and froze.  Yummy cream of broccoli soup. Thank you Kenzie!  It was delicious!

I love my Hibiscus plant.  So many blossoms each day.

Rehvyn had fun at his Grammy Vikki’s today

I guess he worked too lol!

This was how foggy it was at Isaac’s Band Camp this morning

We got up around 8:30.  I called Kimmy to check on her and see if she needed anything.  She doesn’t sound too good because she is congested.  Sure and praying for her and for no one else to get it.  Bill took the garbage out.  He went to the Men’s Breakfast after that.  I read my Bible, went over my notes from BayShore’s visiting pastor, and listened to worship music.  I watered thirsty plants, since we only had a quick rain about 4 days ago.  It says rain every day, but haven’t gotten any more.  I washed jelly dishes since my orioles are gone.  Washed my Crocs and my Muck Boots while I was washing stuff.  I let them dry in the sun.  I came in and it was time for lunch.  I warmed up some of Kenzie’s homemade soup.  It sure tasted good.  I had some cucumbers with vinegar too.  I vacuumed and cleaned upstairs after that.  I put the air purifier upstairs for a while.  It was on green so the air was good up there.  This little air purifier is so nice.  When you put it on Automatic, it runs on setting needed and turns off when air is pure.

Bill came home and brought me a Chocolate Chip Muffie from Panera.  We love their muffies.  I made a coffee and ate it right away.  Relaxed in by Bill in our recliners for a while.  Then I went out and picked the garden.  I got 4 tomatoes, 4 big green peppers, and about 6 nice cucumbers.

I talked to Laicey for a short time, then got ready to go with Bill on the motorcycle to the Flint Chapter meeting.  It had said rain, but then they cancelled it.  It was a nice ride and was still 73 degrees out when we came home.  The meeting went good and there were 16 of us there.  Dave, a new guy came.  He was very nice.  His dad is a pastor of a church in Davison.  4 people from Victory Biker’s Church came too.  They were all nice too.  Bill and I had pancakes for our dinner.  The meeting afterward went really well well.  Ron and Barb from Faith Riders were there too.  Ron talked about Run For the Son and Bill talked about the State Rally which is coming up.  Lots of people gave testimonies of what God has done.  It was super exciting to hear them all.  Bill shared about God healing him.  We prayed and then the meeting was done.  We left right away so we could get home before dark.   We got home, parked the bike and made it in the house before dark.  Yay!

I worked on my blog and Bill caught up on his phone stuff.  He worked on CMA stuff a lot today.

Monday, August 10, 2026

Monday, 8/10/26, Went to Bill’s dr. appt., picked up Panera, went to Menards, caught a raccoon in the live trap, went to Home Depot, Bill took sister C to her appt.

Some pictures from the Lock In Peyton, Isaac and Eli went to Friday evening through Sat morning.  Peyton and Eli in this picture

Bill and I went in the Jeep with no regular doors on, only bars to his appt. with Dr. Bindon for his hip.  It was 66 degrees when we left home, so we turned the heat on.  It will be in the mid 80’s later.  Bill’s appt. went good.  He will be getting an injection in his right hip this time to diagnose if surgery is needed.   His left hip is doing very well now.  He will have a follow up appt.

We came home after his appointment.  We stopped at Panera on our way and both got lemonade’s.   Bill took care of the raccoon and I got some coloring books I bought at Goodies to hand out to kids out of the camper.  I also ordered some small boxes of crayons on Amazon.  I am giving a bunch to Cindy for the outreach they are doing at a Christian concert this weekend.  They will have a CMA booth set up where they will hand out stuff and pray with anyone wanting prayer.  We have a family reunion that day so are unable to attend.

Talked to Melissa lots.  Ordered Evan’s prayer month gift.  It’s a watch he picked out that he won’t be allergic to.

Bill and I went to Panera and I got an iced coffee and he got another lemonade.  We usually only go every other day, but we’re going by so went twice.  He got to join for the first time for $5 per month.

Talked to Melissa a lot.  Made plans to pick Evan up Wednesday morning, then go pick up Lydia at her house and head to BayShore.  Melissa and Bruce are camping for the dog show there, so we will spend the morning with them, then we have a meeting with Dustin, Jeff and Sarah to finalize plans for our State Rally.

Bill went to pick up his sister, Carol, to take her to her appointment.  I called her to make sure she would be ok with riding in the Jeep with bars for doors and no windows.  She said yes, as long as the air conditioning works.  I told her yes!

I cleaned part of the house while he was gone.  I also put chlorine in the pool float, cleaned the skimmer out, and used the blower to blow off the deck.  I tried to pull more weeds to finish by the shed, but the ground was too hard.  It is supposed to rain tomorrow, so I am waiting til after that to try again.  If we don’t get rain, I will water it with the hose.  Looked over the garden and tomato’s are getting ripe, so will be picking some tomorrow.  I cut some long vines that were hanging from a tree by the side of the house, that I noticed Bill would have to duck for when he mowed the grass.  Set the live trap too.  Trying to catch that woodchuck now.  Pesty thing ate all the leaves off my sweet potato plant that was in my flower pot with a geranium.

Watched Pastor Richard’s second part of being interviewed by a youth pastor that he trained up as a youth in youth group.

Vikki told me Kimmy is really sick so I have been praying lots for her.  She has a bad cold.  I feel so bad for her.  I will try to call her tomorrow to see if she needs anything.  I can do a porch drop off.  I love you Kimmy.
