5/29/17...Memorial Day....Remembering those who gave their lives so we could be free. Praying for families who lost heroes. Everyone came up to hang out together.

Max was a great helper all day!  He's helping Papa put the sides up on the Clam

We had lots of fun with Hailey, but she had to take it easy with the stitches in her foot.  It was feeling lots better today though.

Kimmy, Vikki, Melissa, Bill and I took a walk.  It was beautiful out.  Later it got so windy you could hardly stand to be out in it.

Eli came on his bike with us.  Papa kept trying to get him.  They sure have fun together.

Lunch time.  Jack, Eli, Adam, Evan, Papa and Jacob

Papa is sure good with the grandkids

We went in the outside pool for a few minutes, but lots of stuff from trees had blown in the pool.  Vikki tried skimming it but didn't help much with the wind like it was.  We went in the outside hot tub but it wasn't hot, just lukewarm.  Then we went in to swim in the inside pool and it was closed because there was a cut in the liner.  Vikki, Peyton, Max and I went in the hot tub and relaxed.  Peyton and Max had fun together and get along so nice.  We got out and some teenagers got in.  Kimmy, Melissa and the other kids came but there was no room in the hot tub.  Then the teenagers started eating in the hot tub.  Vikki let the help know and she came in and told them not to eat in it.  They were not very respectful and took some time before they did what she said.  Glad our grandkids are kind and respectful and have parents training them right.

Ice cream with Melissa and family at Tacey's!  YUM!!!  Bruce got onion rings!  None of the kids liked them.  We liked our ice cream better.  Evan, Melissa, Max, Hailey, Jack and Papa

Max got up and wanted to do any jobs we needed so that he could earn money to buy special candy for his cousins, brothers and sister that they like.  He took Mocha out for me all the time.  Cleaned ups Lenny's poop, helped Papa.  I thought it was so sweet how he was thinking of everyone else and what they would like.  Such a sweet boy.  Everyone got here around 10:30.  The kids wanted to go to the store right away.  We went for a walk and it was so nice out.  When we got to the camper, the wind picked up.  Bill was still able to grill hamburgers and hot dogs outside.  They were delicious.  We had potato salad, Bruce's yummy veggie salad, beans, chips, and watermelon too.  Such a fun blessed time with family.  The wind got gusting to 30-40 mph (it said on the news).  Our Clam top would go down and then go back up.  We saw another one the same way.  The kids loved hanging out together.  We loved hanging out together too.  Everyone left and Bill and I followed Melissa and her family to Tacey's for ice cream.  Such a fun day with our wonderful caring family. My heart is full of love!  Bill and I played 3-13.  He was ahead all the while and at the end I won by just a few points.  It sure was quiet with just us here.
