5/7/17...Went to church, went to Carols, went to Melissa and Bruce's for Evan's Birthday

Not such a clear picture, but it's the only one we took.  Uncle Fred did a selfie of us.  He warned us he wasn't good at it

Bill got right at helping Carol get the food all set out and ready

His reward was eating a roll early
We went to Melissa and Bruce's and celebrated Evan's 6th Birthday!  Lots of fun!

Evan walking in and seeing his cake for the first time

Love how excited and happy he was when he saw it

Daniel and Evan having a blowing contest.  Melissa thought she was getting a better deal on these and didn't realize they were the noisy ones.  The kids sure loved them...not so us adults

Evan with his cool cake!  We were singing and before we got done, he had the candles blown out

Evan opening Daniel's present

Melissa painted this car piggy bank a couple of years ago.  Evan loved it!

They were pretty excited to see what was in this big bag

Evan loved this!

Nana, Evan and Papa

Two happy boys!  Daniel made wrote such a cute note on his gift.  He said they were best friends forever!

The kids sure had fun with Evan's birthday present!

We went to church.  There was a motivations speaker for youth there.  He had a great message and was funny at the same time.  His ministry goes into many schools and many lives are touched.
After church, we went to Bill's sister, Carol's house.  Shani was there already.  Fred, Debbie, Tom, and Matthew got there shortly after.  Fred had picked up chicken, mashed potatoes, dressing, rolls and veggies from Zehnder's for us all.  The food was so good!  Bill was pretty hungry so he helped set everything out.   We didn't have dessert and Matthew wanted to know where it was.  After that, we headed to Melissa and Bruce's to celebrate Evan's 6th birthday.  He was pretty excited.  Bill and I got our dessert there!  It was really good cake and ice cream.  He loved all of his presents and held them up after he opened them and said thank you.  I dug up some raspberries that had spread at Bruce and Melissa's and brought them home and planted them.  I dug up around the shed and got the weeds out.  Bill tilled the garden.
