Kenzie, Travis and Mylee |
Mylee sitting on Travis when they came to get her |
Kenzie with her hair straight |
Kenzie in the tree. Her hair was straight and I asked her how she got the curls to stay in her hair when she wears her hair curly. She walked over to the pool, bent over and put her hair in the water and this is what her hair looked like afterward. Guess I'll be sticking my head in the pool every morning lol. |
This is what Peyton looks like after she eats a bite of rhubarb |
Vikki and I were sitting under the other shade tree and hear a crunch. We looked and this tree branch from the other big tree broke. It was a very windy day!! |
Got up early to leave for Sandusky by 7:30 a.m. We took the bike and a small trailer to put the cooler with ice on. We went to the Sandusky Chapter's meeting, then went to the Mennonite Store. We got some good stuff which included Molasses and Snickerdoodle cookies. We headed home after that and the wind was terrible. Bill had to work hard to keep the motorcycle straight on the road. When we got home, we rested for a little while. All that wind tired us out!! Peyton and Isaac worked hard helping plant flowers and plants with Nola (Vikki's friend from work) and her church. They received lots of wonderful compliments on what hard workers and great helpers they were. Vikki called when they got home, and she and the kids were coming for a swim. I cleaned the solar cover off....it had tons of stuff which blew down with the wind. I used a broom to sweep it into a pile, then picked it up with the skimmer. Got most of it off before they got here. When we swam, the wind was blowing a different direction and nothing was blowing in the pool. I was thankful for that. This was Vikki and my first time in the pool this year. The water was 80 degrees and very nice. Vikki and I got out and dried off in the sun on the lounge chairs. After a short time, we went to sit under the shade tree with Mylee. The kids stayed in a long time, then the played on the swings. Bill went to Kody's Cub Scout event. Kenzie and Travis came and visited for a while when they picked up Mylee and the kitty. They made sandwiches from the yummy stuff we got at the Mennonite Store today. I watered some plants. Going to bed early tonight. 10:46. Still tired from that windy ride.
