9/16/17...Went to Jack's first soccer game, Melissa, Hailey, Jack, Evan, Vikki and Isaac came back to my house for roast, carrots and potatoes....went to Adam's soccer game at 4 and then went to Kimmy and Jared's house and hung out for a while

Jack's first soccer game....he was always after the ball....no fear....gave it some good long kicks

Jack's in the grey shirt running towards the ball

Jack was after the ball in each of these pictures plus many more I didn't put on.  I got tired just watching him.

It was so nice that Jack's teacher came to his game.  You should have seen the happy look on his face when he saw her.  He came running to her and gave her a hug!

Adam was really on the move in his game and gave some good kicks.  His field was bigger so it was harder to get pictures.  He has the blue socks on!

Put a roast, carrots and potatoes in the oven.  Made chili for our camping trip.  Got ready and went to Jack's first soccer game. He just started loving any kind of ball, but soccer is the one he wanted to play.  I was amazed how he was always after the ball and kicked it so good.  He was so happy when he saw his teacher was there to watch him play.  Vikki went to Melissa's house to ride with her, which was good because Melissa's van wouldn't start because the battery was dead.  Bruce took Max to his appointment and Hailey was with Ally so Melissa, Jack and Evan got in Vikki's car and rode with her.  Good thing she only brought Isaac.  God sure worked it out so Jack could get to his game.  I met them there and saw them as soon as I got out of my car.  After the game, Vikki picked up Hailey and they all came to my house to eat the roast I had made.  The kids played with legos and Hailey watched a show and then it was time for Vikki to go get Peyton and leave Isaac with Rody so we could go to Adam's game.   Vikki said we needed to leave so we headed to Midland and then realized we were an hour early.  We went to Salvation Army and Goodwill to look around.  I found an Anna Maria Island sweatshirt at Salvation Army.  We went to Adam's game after that.  Adam has improved so much and was really moving after the ball.  He got a couple of good kicks in, but I missed getting a picture. Boo Hoo!  Both games were 3 to 2.  Our grandkid's team's didn't win but they sure played good games.  Vikki took Peyton to the bathroom and when she walked by the concession stand, they gave her the leftover pizza and breadsticks for free.  Kimmy divided it up between the kids at her house.  We had a nice time at Kimmy and Jared's after the game.  Their kittens are so cute.  Love how happy the boys are when they hold them.  Came home and Vikki helped count the collection for the Marine Corp League.

9/15/17...Waited in the morning to see if I would need to take Peyton to the dr. for Vikki, Went to Melissa's to take feathers from Sue to her for the boys, went grocery shopping and went to Marine Corp Picnic at Dutch and Dorothy's house

The sunrise was beautiful this morning....Picture doesn't capture  how beautiful it was

I was going to get a picture of Mocha all stretched out sleeping on the couch, but she woke up.  Looks like a bad hair day for her
Max was excited about the feathers Sue sent him

He was happy to get a toy soldier that Sue tucked in his package

Picnic/potluck at Dutch and Dorothy's for Marine Corp League

Got up and waited for Vikki to call to see if I was needed to take Peyton to the Dr. for her hurt foot.  Sure was praying for my little sweetie.  Didn't want Vikki to have to miss work since she just started her job.  Peyton wore her boot to work which is what they did when she first broke her foot before.
Dr. was only open half a day, but when Peyton got home her foot was fine and she was walking on it. Sure am praising God.  I went to Aldi's and a nice lady gave me her cart and wouldn't take the quarter.  I tried paying it forward, but the guy going in didn't need a cart and there was no one else around.  I will next time though.  I stopped at Melissa's for a few minutes after that and gave her the feathers Sue dropped off at my house for the boys.  Then I went to Kroger's to get groceries for our camping trip.  Got home just in time to put cold stuff away and leave for the picnic for the Marine Corp League.  Had a very nice time.  Everyone there commented on my meatballs and said they were delicious.  Dutch's sister had pneumonia, then got an abscess and infection in her lung so had to go to Ford Hospital.  She is recouping at their house since it is all on one floor.  Got to share what an amazing miracle God did for Melissa.  She was so happy to hear about it.

9/14/17...Very nice day in the 80's. Did more laundry and hung it outside. Went to CMA meeting in the evening and then to Mooneys with Wes and Gayla

Started packing the camper for our trip.  Bill transported veterans to their appointments today.  He is a volunteer at the VA hospital.  It was a nice day to do laundry and hang it outside to dry.  It was so nice to ride the motorcycle to our meeting and not even have to wear a jacket, even on the way home.  We had 28 people there and have 2 more who became members and 2 are becoming members.  Nice to see our chapter growing and getting such nice people in it.  Bill did a great job leading the meeting.
After the meeting, Wes, Gayla, Bill and I went to Mooney's for ice cream.  They got baby cones and I got a half baby cone when I saw how big their's were.  Vikki called me and she thinks Peyton broke her foot again.  Sure are praying it's not and is better in the morning.  She has her boot from her last break back on.  YIKES.

9/13/17...Slept in, Helped Bill count money collected for Marine Corp. League, Put clean sheets on in the camper, washed rugs from the camper and hung them outside. Hung out with Melissa and Vikki, Went to Hailey's Volleyball game

Used the spinning sprinkler that Evan gave me at BayShore when the lady let all the kids pick out three things for free this summer.  He was so excited to give this to me.  It's so special and I love it Evan!  Sure love you too!

Melissa hung out with Vikki and I today

Hailey gave me a special smile when I took this picture right before her game started

Hailey and her team...she's fourth from the right

We slept in this morning.  Got up at 8, ate oatmeal for breakfast and had our coffee and read our Bibles. Finished washing rugs from the camper and hung them out and then put them back in the camper.  Put clean sheets on bed in camper too.  It is all scrubbed and everything washed and ready for our camping trip to Grand Haven Monday.  At 12:45, I picked Melissa up and we went to Taco Bell and ate.  Picked up some food for Vikki and took it to her when we went to hang out in our hammocks before the kids got out of school.  So fun to have Melissa come with us.  Vikki left to get the kids and Melissa and I went to Goodwill to see if the shampooer Vikki saw was still there.  It wasn't.  Boo Hoo.   I was going to go to the school to pick up Ginny's four kids, but she called while we were on our way and said her hubby got out in time to pick them up.  I turned around and Melissa continued on to the school to get her kiddos.  I cooked steaks on the grill, baked potatoes and peas for dinner.  After we ate, we went to Hailey's Volleyball game.  She gave me a big smile when she saw I was taking a picture.  So sweet.  She played really good.  Great serves and hit the ball over a lot.  She came and gave me a big hug after the game.  Sure love that girl!  Hoping to get to Adam and Eli's soccer game on Saturday and also Kody's.  Love seeing grandkids play sports.

9/12/17...Happy Birthday to my dad who is in heaven! Sure do miss him! Nice walk with Melissa and Norah this morning, hung out with Vikki in our hammocks by the rail trail, care group potluck at Dennis's

I miss my sweet kind dad so much.  He would be 101 years old today!  I will see him again when I get to heaven.

Nice walk with Melissa and Nora around Melissa's neighborhood today.

Dennis, Jerry Bill, Marie and Roy at our Care group potluck.  We didn't think to take the picture until just about everyone left.

Saw this on Facebook and loved it!  Amen to knowing whose daughter I am....need to remind myself of this and straighten my crown sometimes
Went to breakfast at Sullivan's.  Twelve of us there today.  Melissa called and invited me to come try a carrot cake muffin she made, so I stopped on my way home.  I watched the news she had taped of Bikes on the Bricks showing our group riding.  After that we ate our muffins, which were moist and very delicious, and then went on a walk around the subdivision.  Melissa pushed Nora in the stroller.
Melissa sure can walk fast....just my speed.  Amazing when you think of her not being able to walk at all for so long.  God is so awesome and so good!  I left and went to pick up some groceries at Kroger's and Jacks.  Came home and made my casserole for my dish to pass at tonights care group potluck.  Also made an apple crisp.  I heard a big crash and looked in the utility room and the light fixture opened up and the florescent bulb I had put in the other day, fell to the floor and there was glass everywhere.  What a mess to clean up.  Guess I will be patient and wait for Bill to put them in next time.  I finished sweeping the mess up and Sue stopped in.  We visited for a while and then Vikki called to see if I was still coming to hang out in our hammocks.  Good think she called as I had forgotten.  I packed us sandwiches and trail mix packets and went to meet her.  She was already hanging in her hammock.  I put mine up and we had our lunch and visited.  Such a nice day!  So happy that Vikki loves her job so much.  Congratulations to Kimmy who got the permanent job at the boy's schools.  They will both be a blessing to the schools.  Great hours to be with their kids and have summers off together too.  We had a good turn out at out care group potluck.  Marie, Roy, Jerry, Kay, Susan, Nancy, Randy, Merijo, Greg, Bill, me and Dennis were there. Dennis had it at his house and it was very nice.  The food was great and we had fun together and also prayed together.

9/11/17...Sad day remembering 9/11 and all the lost lives. Happy Day thinking of Vikki and Terry and their anniversary.

Hailey #20 and her team

Hailey serving....she did great and got lots of points for her team
Walked two miles at the Sportszone.  Came home and did laundry and hung it outside to dry.  Pulled the onions out of the garden.  Got a nice big bag full.  Also picked tomatoes.  Bill went to cut the grass at His Restoration.  I cleaned the camper good.  One more trip in it and then I will start emptying food out of it.  In the evening Bill had to go to a board of director's meeting at BayShore.  I went to Hailey's game at 5:30.  I thought it was the Lutheran Church on Wilder, but when I got there it wasn't Imanuel.  I google mapped it and got directions.  I was 15 minutes late but got to see half of the first game and the two other games she played.  She sure can serve good.  They lost but came close the third game.  Got our new printer out of the box and on the shelf.  Rody is going to set it up for us.  We are blessed to have kids that take good care of us.

Fun hanging in our hammocks with Vikki, Peyton and I.  Lenny's  came too.

We went to the Armory today before church.  Bill was supposed to preach there and I was going to play the worship music on my bluetooth.  We got there and there weren't any cars there.  One of the other helpers from out church was just leaving.  They must have gotten a call to go somewhere.  We came home and then went to our church at 9:30.  When the kids were excused, I went back and the group of us who are teaching kids on Wednesday nights, had our meeting.  It went well and the new curriculum looks great.  After church, Melissa, Bruce and the kids came over for a few minutes.  Bill gave them the Tim Bits he had picked up for the guys at the armory this morning.  The kids were pretty excited.  We walked around outside for a little while and then they left.  I dropped Bill off at Walmart so he could collect money for veterans for the Marine Corp. League.  I went into the Subway in Walmart and picked him up a Rotisserie chicken sandwich.  He was pretty happy when I dropped it off.  He asked me if I would go home and get him his walker with a seat so he could sit (that's all he uses it for) and a drink.  I had tried to get him an ice tea at Subway, but the girl said she would have to make it and I didn't have time to win.  He was very happy when I got back and dropped off the stuff.  I went to Aldi's for almond milk and trail mix.  Then went to Arby's and picked up a chicken club sandwich for me to eat.  Went out and laid in my hammock after that. Vikki and Peyton came over to join me.  Peyton was excited because she had gone to Toy's R Us and got a diary and some charms to make bracelets with her birthday money.  She gave me a really pretty key ring.  She was so good about helping with what we needed.  She came in and got a close line for us to use with our hammocks to swing each other.  She was a cheerful as could be.  Vikki had got a nice warm soft blanket for the bottom of her hammock.  When I saw how nice and felt how warm it was, I went in and picked one up when we went to get Bill.  We came back and the blanket was wonderful in my hammock.  Rody stopped over with Isaac so that made me happy.  After they left, we watched a Hallmark movie.  Bill fell asleep on our comfy furniture.
