Kenzie making butterhorns.  She hadn't taken her shower and done her hair so only have her arms in the picture! Ha Ha!

They turned out great and are so delicious!

Went to Walmart and took the original containers for coffee I had picked up for the girls and me back.  Got a HDMI splitter for the TV and a few groceries.  After that, I went to Kenzie’s to pick her up.  We came back to my house and made butterhorns.  We always do this together!  It’s our tradition since she’s been little!  She only wanted me to take pics of her hands making them, because she didn’t take her shower and do her hair yet.  We looked at old pictures on the computer while we waited for the butterhorns to rise.  That was so much fun.  She did a load of laundry here too. She was very happy when her mom found her artwork portfolio from when she was in school and sent it with Rody.  Rody came and hooked up the google mini plug for us and the Chromecast.  He is amazing!  The butterhorns turned out great and are delicious!  Rody was happy to have some.  Peyton and Isaac were happy to see Kenzie.  Kenzie was just as happy to see them!  I had to take Kenzie home so we could go out with Charlie and Sue.  When I get back, Rody and the kids were still here which made me happy.  Rody had everything hooked up and Issac came running to the door to tell me and then showed me how everything worked.  He is quite a boy!  So much like Rody.  They left and we went to the Maple Grill for dinner with Charlie and Sue.  Bill had pizza and I had ham/potato soup in a bread bowl.  It was delicious!  We played Euchre at their house afterward.  We turned the light on at home from our phone while we were at their house.  Amazing that we can do that.!  Came home and watched worship on TV.  The guy from the Kernel Burner came and measured the fireplace today.  Should get our wood pellet burner within the next two weeks.  I wish I would’ve taken pictures of the kids today!

Went out in the cold at 9 a.m. to go get my hair cut.  While Catherine was cutting my hair, she would have to stop every now and then because her back was in pain.  I prayed for her and even told her she could skip styling my hair and rest.  She said she wanted to do it because she could tell if she needed to even anything out.  I prayed for her and continued praying silently after that because I was so sad to see her in pain.  She texted me later on and told me she stood for 2 1/2 hours for a client and felt wonderful. No more pain.  I sure am thankful for God touching her and taking that pain away.  He is Awesome!  Bill and I went to take some stuff to Salvation Army, then went to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought containers for coffee for me and the girls.  For some reason, I looked at the bottom of the coffee container I had got at Walmart and on a little sticker in tiny print that I had to read with a magnifying glass, it said if you use it for coffee, leave it in the bag and do not use for flavored coffee.  I got on line and found the ones I got today that are for coffee and have 5 star reviews.  I like them even better too.  I am returning the other ones.  After that we went to Best Buy and got some stuff to go with our Google Mini.  We ate at Logan's after that and had a nice date!  When we got home, Melissa called and came over with the kids.  Bruce went to BayShore for the Board of Director's Retreat.  Melissa was going to come after she dropped Hailey off at SportsZone with Mikayla, but Hailey wanted to come early so she could see us too.  We played Tonk while the boys watched Angels in the Outfield.  We didn't finish because Melissa had to take Hailey to the SportsZone.  They were both back shortly....the SportsZone was closed!  We finished our game and I won by a little.  We had cookies for snacks and then Bill brought out big candy bars and M & M's for everyone to choose from.  YUM!  Evan wanted to play War, so Melissa and I played with him.  I was out of cards pretty quickly.  Evan was the winner.  It sure was a long game.

1/4/18...Walked at the SportsZone, moved furniture back, Humidifier is working great,

Bill had to meet Rich Dudek.  I put on worship music (Vineyard, Bethel, Upper Room, and Hillsong).  Read my Bible and spent time with the Lord and then went to the SportsZone and walked two miles. BUMMER!  I forgot my fitbit. How are Kimmy and I ever going  to beat Jared in steps if we keep forgetting to wear our fitbits?  While I was walking, Bill called and wanted to meet at Kroger's to put gas in our vehicles.  I finished walking and then met him.  He put gas in and we got it for $1.57 with our $1.00 off up to 35 gal.  What a great savings!  I came home and ate my left over fettuccini from last night.  Bill called and was going to Field and Stream with Charlie to play Euchre.  I moved the furniture back the way it was before Christmas.  Bill's doctor in Detroit called him and said he didn't see anything wrong with the X-ray with the bone or bone density.  I am believing for a miracle and have been praying he wouldn't need surgery.  He has to go to see the doctor and get checked out and have another X-ray.  What a blessing it would be if he doesn't need surgery.  We went to Wes and Gayla's for our officer's meeting.  Bill did a great job and everyone had good input.  Elaine couldn't be there, but everyone else was.  Bill Smith showed us some amazing ultra sound pictures of his grand babies.  So beautiful and such wonderful pictures.  No school for any of the grandchildren tomorrow as it is going to be -6 degrees out and could get to -30 with the wind chill.  Kimmy and Jared are heading to Indiana in the morning now that the boys don't have school.

1/3/18...Got ready to go to the SportsZone, Went to Walmart, Went out with Kevin and Vicki to celebrate Vicki's birthday

Got up and put the Christmas tablecloth away and also the Christmas rug I had forgotten.  Got ready to go to SportsZone and as I head out I decided to go to Walmart first because it was snowing and blowing and I didn't want to go later and have the roads be bad.  I got some groceries and a coffee container like I have on my cupboard for each of the girls.  I dropped Melissa off at her house.  She was working at the kid's school.  I got home and put stuff away.  I made a cup of coffee and forgot to change the setting from carafe to cup.  My cup started running over.  Good thing I was in the kitchen and there is a shut off valve.  I cleaned the mess up and made a good cup of coffee.  Melissa called me and said she found her surprise on her table.  She was very happy.  She loves her new coffee bar.  We talked over an hour and caught up on her trip to Muskegon.  I sure am happy to have her home. Bill got a new Humidifier.  This one seems to work really good.   I talked to Vikki later.  Had to hang up quickly as we were going to Olive Garden with Vicki and Kevin Beemer, their kids and Scott and Melissa.  We celebrated Vicki's 38th Birthday.  We had a really nice time and the food was delicious.  I called Vikki back when I got home.  Came home and read some on my book.

1/2/18...Long night last night! Took the tree down and all the Christmas decorations. Bill took our humidifier back as it isn't working right.

Kenzie sent me this picture of her kitty.  Sure looks comfy!

No more tree up...Now to move the furniture back tomorrow
Last night Bill took his nightly meds at dinner time by mistake.  He takes a sleeping pill at night so he was getting tired and went to bed at 6.  What a stressful, awful night with him falling, feeling like he was going to faint, dizzy, flu like symptoms.  After he threw up, he felt better.  I sure was worried about my sweetie!  We were both thanking the Lord this morning.  He felt fine and went to breakfast. I was whipped out from the stressful night, so I stayed home so I could sleep in.  After spending my time with the Lord, we took down the tree and the other Christmas decorations.  Bill took the humidifier back to Sears as it was just staying at 20%  all the time and not working.  We have to research and find a good one.  Warmed up roast for dinner.  Relaxed and read and watched TV.  Did 27 flights of stairs today hauling things to the attic so I was ready to rest.

1/1/18 HAPPY NEW YEAR! Watched the Tournament of Roses Parade, Made a roast, Vikki, Rody, Peyton and Isaac came over for dinner and spent the day

Eating dinner on my Grandma Daisy's good china with her good silverware.   Isaac loved the meat and is holding it up for the picture.  He kept telling me he loved everything.

Isaac and Peyton

Peyton and Isaac sure had fun playing with the train set.  They spent hours playing together and having fun

Lenny was a good boy here and was pretty relaxed

I called Kimmy and her family to wish them Happy New Year!  I wasn't  sure if they stayed up last night because they haven't been feeling well, but they did.  I talked to Adam on the phone and he told me he stayed up until 5 a.m.  Kimmy and Jacob were playing 3-13 and Jacob won, so he was pretty happy.  Kimmy was feeling better, but not Jared.  I had the parade on, so I told them and they turned it on too.  Vikki, Rody and the kids got here and we ate at 1.  After we ate, we looked at the pictures we took when we went to Florida when the kids were young and the actors from Full House were there.  We just watched that episode last night, so Peyton loved seeing the pictures we took of them in Florida where they were wearing what they had on the show.  I remember how excited the kids, Bill and I were when we saw them there.  Great memory!  We snacked and played 3-13 and dice.  Lenny came along and was such a good dog here.  After they left, Bill took his medicine and accidentally took his bedtime meds instead of his evening meds.  It wasn't long and he went to bed...tired from his sleeping pill and feeling a little dizzy.  I prayed over him and tried to get him to call his dr.  No way would he do that.

12/31/17...Went to Vikki and Rody's to bring in the New Year! Had yummy tacos and then lots of great snacks. Rody's mom came which was very nice. Kids were so well behaved and so much fun!

HAPPY BLESSED NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

I worked some on the attic.  It is very cold outside, but nice and toasty in our attic now.  At 5 p.m.we went to Vikki and Rody's to bring in the New Year.  Rody's mom came over too which was really nice.  We all ate taco's that were delicious, except Rody's mom because she already ate.  We had a nice evening, visiting, snacking, playing 3-13 and dice.  Watched groups playing worship music on tv which was so nice.  Isaac started worshipping and was so cute to watch.  Peyton and Isaac stayed awake the whole time and watched the ball drop with us.  It was especially nice watching this year after being in Time Square where it was dropping.  We came home and turned our electric blanket on the bed on and then stayed up till 2 until the bed was nice and warm.  We had such a fun time at Vikki and Rody's!  HAPPY NEW YEAR!
