Monday, 10/7/19 Put my nice lightweight hoses away, put yard decorations away, went to Trinity Riders meeting.

Monday, 10/7/19 Put my nice lightweight hoses away, put yard decorations away, went to Trinity Riders meeting. three miles. Did daily Bible reading , prayer and devotion. Washed king size down blanket and towels and hung outside. Beautiful sunny day in the mid 60’s.  Put all my outside yard decorations away and also my lightweight hoses.  Talked to all three of my sweet daughters today.  I’m so thankful for each of them.  Bill and I went to Ponderosa for dinner and the meeting for Trinity Riders. It was nice to see everyone.  Sad to hear from Bob Burpee there that his brother, Rick, who did most of the work on our bathroom, is no longer able to work.  He is on oxygen and also has scar tissue in his heart so 40% of is heart isn't working. They took up an offering for him.  We are praying for him!  He was our favorite worker.

Sunday, 10/6//19...Went to church, taught Sunday School, had Peyton and Isaac after church,

Peyton and Isaac with all the sticks they picked up out of our yard.  They sure were great workers!

Peyton and Isaac

They had fun drawing and doing the games on their placemat.  Peyton and I kept taking turns drawing things to go with our barns and her sheet was totally full when we got done.

Vikki and Rody came, so Peyton and Isaac moved to the counter.  They were so good sitting by themselves.

Went to church.  I went early to get my classroom ready.  Then I went in to our pre prayer room.  Amazing prayer time.  Melissa and her family were there and so was Vikki and her family.  We all sat together.  After service, Melissa picked up Peyton and Isaac and brought them to my classroom. Melissa looked so cute today in her beautiful outfit.  After all my kids were picked up by their parents, we left for home.  Vikki and Rody were at the membership class at church, so the kids came home with us.  Papa got the wagon for the kids out and they picked up all of our many sticks in the yard.  They were such a great help.  We went to Bob Evan's for lunch.  The kids and Bill had breakfasts, and I had a chicken pot pie.  Yum!  Vikki called and was done for class and was at our house.  We had them come meet us at Bob Evans and they had lunch with us.  We walked through Art Van after that.  Came home and spent a relaxing day with Bill.

Pretty rose by the front walkway

Peyton is so good at doing the splits.  Love those good doggies in the background

Put chicken, carrots and potatoes in the crockpot in the morning.  Put worship music on and cleaned some rooms in the house and then got some groceries at Aldi's.  Baked a cake for tonight.  Rody helped Bill get his new phone and set it up.  His phone wasn't charging anymore.  Had Vikki, Rody, Peyton and Isaac over to eat.  Vikki cleared the table and put the food away for me.  She had the kiddos help her.  I hardly had to do anything.  It doesn't pay to be the slowest eater....or does it???
We visited afterward. The kiddos were cute as usual. We read our Bibles and then watched a program on Yellowstone.  I messaged Melissa, so Max could watch it.  She called me and said he loved it.  I could hear him in the background, and he sounded pretty excited.  We loved our Yellowstone trip this summer.

10/4/19....Blessed to take Melissa to therapy and spend time with her

Washed the sheets and left to go take Melissa to therapy.  We got to therapy 15 minutes early, so drove around a little bit before going there.  Went back and we were talking to a young lady who was from Midland.  She has MS.  She was very nice and was looking for a picture to show me when they called her back for therapy.  I will be praying for her.  I went to Sam's club to look for a new electric blanket for our bed.  I found one for $89 that was bluetooth accessible too.  It was nice and soft like we wanted.  I went to Macy's and Penneys to check their electric blankets out.  Penney's was $131 for a king size and Macy's was over $200.  I texted Bill to show him pictures and prices.  Needless to say, I went back to Sam's for their Serta Electric Blanket.  I called Bill to have him put the sheets in the dryer, but he already had.  When I got home, we put the sheets on and then the new blanket.  I got it set up on my phone so I could turn it on and adjust the temperature.  Then I turned my bluetooth off, so Bill could set his up.  He had a hard time, but finally got it.  Then I couldn't get mine to work again.  Finally got it working again and then it didn't again.  Waiting til tomorrow to try to figure it out now.  I had to pick Melissa up, so I found a coupon for Grand Turkey Clubs at Arby's.  I picked her up. I heard Chase telling her she did great today.  They sure are nice to her and like to joke around with her.  I brought her a pop from my house and then we went to Arby's and picked up our sandwiches.  She told me all about therapy and had me laughing.  We went to her house and ate.  I always love spending time with Missy.  We watched a Bill Gaither Special and our hearts were so touched.  It was about Billy Graham's Crusades, the music and singers.  I loved it when it showed Billy Graham singing This Little Light of Mine with George Beverly Shay and Cliff Barrows.

Picture of blanket.  We got brown though

10/3/19..Went on bus tour to Great Lakes National Cemetery, Went to Officer's Meeting for Faith Riders

Bus Ride to the National Cemetery....Bill and I were in the last seat on the bus

Kevin, Gayla, Wes, Bill, Elaine, Bill Smith, and Cheryl at our officer's meeting at the Byte Restaurant where the Texan used to be

We met Charlie and Sue and went on a bus tour to the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.  Because Bill and Charlie are veterans, we can all be buried there for free unless the rapture comes first.  It is such a beautiful setting, and so nice of them to honor veterans.  We had a fun time on the bus.  They had us play two fun games on the way and had snacks and water bottles for us.  After we got a tour and were able to ask questions, we went to Brick Street, a fancy restaurant and had a delicious lunch on the Skorupski Funeral Home Service.  The food was so good.  They never said anything to have us sign up for anything through them.  We had fun with Charlie, Sue and the other nice couple we sat with.  The guy worked with lots of doctors and gave us some helpful tips about great doctors.  We had a nice bus ride back.  It was misty most of the day, but blue skies came out when we got back.  We relaxed when we got home.  Went to the Old Texan, which is Bytes Fusion Grill now for our officers meeting.  We are checking out the food, because we want to see about having our Chapter Meetings in their nice big back room.  It was nice and everyone is in favor of moving there.  Now we will bring it up in the chapter meeting next Thursday.

10/2/19...Walked 2 miles, Picked Melissa up and we met Vikki, Went to Tim Hortons and met Kimmy and boys, and Vikki and kids

We were reading our Bibles when we heard a noise in the dining room.  We had heard it once yesterday.  Thought it was a bat and started looking with a flashlight for it.  Bill kept scaring me and thought that was pretty funny.  Me not so much.  Charlie picked Bill up and I went to the SportsZone to walk.  I came home and changed and headed to Krogers to pick up a few things.  Went to Melissa's after that and picked her up to go with me to meet Vikki at Tony's after she got out of work.  We looked for a baby gift for Ellen while we were there.  After we were done eating,  Kimmy called to see if I was home.  Bummer, I didn't have enough time to get there to see her and the boys before they had to get to their dentist appointment.  I took Melissa home and went home in case they had time to stop when they were done.  Bill and I heard the noise again and started hunting again.  Vikki called and asked us to meet her and Kimmy at Tim Horton's, so we headed there.  On our way, we decided we would put the plant I brought in the house outside, plus put the fake plant outside.  We had fun with Vikki, Kimmy and the kids.  We all arm wrestled while we were there.  Peyton amazed us because she is a very strong little girl.  It was all I could do to beat her.  When we got home we got into action.  I put the real plant outside.  I had it setting in another bigger planter, so I took it out and there in the water on the bottom was a tree frog.  I guess that was what our mystery noise was.  Haven't heard the noise since.  Happy that's all it was.  We watched a Gaither Special with Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, The Newsboys, Steven Curtis Chapman and lots others.  They sang their old songs!  Nice to hear them again.

Tues., 10/1/19, Went to our breakfast, Went to Melissa's, Had small group

We went to our breakfast this morning.  Wes and Gayla aren't back yet from their trip to see their son in Maryland. Phyllis, Andy, Dennis, Charlie, and Bill and I were the only ones there today.  Had a good devotion and time of prayer.  Nice visiting with each other too.  Love our group.  Stopped at Melissa's and took her for her blood test after breakfast.  We went to Tim Horton's afterward.  Always love my time with her.  She is so positive and encouraging to be around.  After I dropped her off, I went home and got things ready for small group tonight.  Bill and I ate our left over spaghetti from Olive Garden and had a piece of blueberry pie.  He looked at me and told me my pie was excellent.  That made me really happy!  He never compliments on food much.  Must be that Russell Crust Recipe!  I was pretty sore from walking yesterday.  Amazing how fast I can get out of shape.  Now to continue on even though I am sore.  We had a great small group with everyone coming.   Pat and Rich came tonight to visit.  He starts his radiation and chemo Monday.  He gave great honor and glory to the Lord when he shared his testimony of what God has already done.  Amazing! We are thanking the Lord and continuing to pray for him and Pat.  Bill did a great job leading it and teaching the lesson.
