Sat. 11/7/2020, Bill got free oil change for car, Raked leaves, Walked 3 1/2 miles, Vikki and the kids came over

Kimmy and I split a small mum I had planted under some shrubs this spring.  It wasn't growing good so I moved it and gave her part of it.  We both have beautiful big mum plants now.  Kimmy's picture has the beautiful chicken in it.

My row of leaves to pick up.  I used the tarp method.

Bill used the blower for the other side of the yard.  He blew them all to the garden.  I used the leaf vacuum and did the deck until it ran out of gas.  Bill took over and used the blower on the deck.

Bruce, Melissa and the kids had some nice visitors today.  Bruce's mom and step dad came.  So nice they had such a warm beautiful day for an outside visit.

I got up early so I could spend time worshipping, praying and reading before the day got busy.  Bill took our car in for a free oil change.  Veterans could all get a free oil change today.  So nice!  When he got home He did his Bible reading, and then we worked on picking up leaves outside.  He blew some into a row and I worked on picking them up with the tarp.  Loved being out in the fresh air on this warm day.   While I did that, Bill blew the leaves from the other side of the lawn to the garden.  When we got them all in a big pile, he burned them.  We ate lunch and relaxed for a while after that.  I made a big pot of chili.  We went for a 3 1/2 mile walk down our road.  Vikki, Peyton and Isaac were driving down our road and stopped to talk.  They were coming to have chili with us.  Peyton and Isaac were waiting at the end of our driveway when we got to our house and came to greet us.  We all had chili...Vikki picked up  sour cream, chips and green onions for it. We watched a show on you tube where the guy picks up stuff from people's trash and turns in the aluminum, steel and copper to get money.  He gave a great testimony about how the Lord saved him at the end.  It was so good.  Adam texted me and said he is reading Romans and only has 190 more pages of the Bible to read.  I am so happy about that and so proud of him.  What a great kid!  Bill and I put Brandon Lake Worship on the television and worshipped.  Amazing worship!  Thank you Jesus!

Friday, 11/6/2020, Another beautiful warm day, Cooked squash, cleaned kernel burner, played 3-13 with Bill

I thought this picture Kimmy posted was so cute and cozy so I borrowed it for my blog

Jacob won 2nd place in his age group for the 5 K marathon! Congratulations Jacob!!!

Bill shuffling the cards...he wouldn't smile for me...he ended up losing the next 3 hands and the game which ended then.  Guess he will smile for the picture next time! We sure had fun and lots of laughs though, but not when I threw a wild card...it was crying time then....well not for Bill!

Bill met Charlie for coffee.  He is encouraging him as his surgery for his cancer of the esophagus get near.  Sure am praying for him.  I talked to Gayla, then Wes and he is doing amazing today after his surgery on his knee yesterday.  So happy about this!  Bill went to pick up some cedar wood in Richville from a guy who used to work for him, named Charlie.  He got the wood from his parents tree and thought of Bill using it to make pens.  He introduced his parents and told them Bill was his best boss ever at the plant.  I cleaned the kernel burner out really good.  Then I did laundry and hung some clothes outside.  Cooked some squash.  I only have about 6 more from the garden to cook.  It sure is delicious!
We met Rich and Pat at UNO's  There were only two other tables in the whole room being used.  The food came out really hot and tasted great!  Bill and I walked around Goodwill with Vikki and the kids, then he and I went and walked around Bed, Bath and Beyond.  Walked around Best Buy some too.  Not many people out for a Friday night.  Fun date night! We played 3-13 when we got home.  We went up the hill and down the hill.  It was a very close game most of the time, except the last 3 hands.  I got great cards and stuck him with points, so ended up winning.  Texted Adam.  It got almost up to 70 degrees today.

The view out my window is beautiful

Our tree was absolutely beautiful with the sun shinning on it today
I thought this was so cute of Eli and Wyatt happily greeting each other, so I borrowed it from Kimmy

Isaac was already up when I came into the living room.  I read my Bible until Peyton got up.  We all ate breakfast, made beds and then started spelling.  Their words were hard this week, but they both did amazing learning them quickly.  We read our books after that.  They are reading with lots more expression now.  I love listening to them.  We played 3-13 and they both started off beating me.  I went out a couple of times and they both got lots of points so I ended up winning.  We ate lunch, and then went outside to enjoy the nice weather.  Peyton wanted to make leaf angels in the leaves.  Isaac decided to too and they both had fun.  We picked up sticks in the yard to help Papa.  Vikki got here and helped us finish.  They sure were good helpers and are such great kids!  We have so much fun when they stay here.  Bill mowed the grass.  I walked around our property a few times.  This weather is amazing.  I talked to Melissa for a while when I was making dinner.  We ate and then did a Zoom meeting with Faith Riders Officers.  Wes had his knee surgery today and it went well and he is doing good.  They just had to do a partial so that was great.

Wed. 11/4/2020...Bill had another EKG, Got some groceries at Aldi, Picked up Rico's Nacho's for dinner, Brought Peyton and Isaac home with me, hung our new light

Isaac

Our trees turning fast now...not as bright as usual, but sure is beautiful
Bill and I hung our new kitchen light.  The other one quit working
Peyton loved playing with Kenzie's Barbies
She dressed all of these

Bill went for another EKG at the hospital instead of the VA.  They said it was good, but cancelled his shoulder surgery because they want him to have a stress test to make sure his heart will be able to handle the pain of the shoulder surgery because of his family history.  We went to look at lights for the kitchen afterward.  We found one we both liked so got it and hung it up.  It looks nice and is nice to have a bright kitchen again.  It has 3 light settings and he's hooking up a dimmer switch, so we can change between them if we want.  I picked up Rico's Nachos...family order for Melissa and family, plus one for Hailey, me and Bill.  Jack is enjoying trying different kinds of food now and was happy to try it.  Rico's make authentic Mexican food and we all agreed it was delicious food. Vikki met me there, and i took Peyton and Isaac with me since they are spending the night.  Peyton was happy that I found Kenzie's barbies and all their clothes. She played with them for a long time.  Isaac helped us with the light by shining the flashlight for us.  It was beautiful out today, and got to 70 degrees today.  Bill trimmed the shrubs out front and cut my plants that need cutting back down for me.  I picked up the cuttings today.  I'm loving this weather.  I'm loving our prayer devotion we are doing with our church too.

Tues. 11/3/2020...Remembering my sweet dad today and always, Election Day...did much praying

Peyton and Isaac stayed with Grammy while Vikki voted, but wanted to still be in the voting picture

Kimmy and Jared voted!   Anybody know who Jared takes after?
Flower blooming in the woods still

Voted our Biblical Values by absentee ballot and watching the results tonight
Trimmed our tree today...I trimmed, Bill picked up the branches. I making sure he takes care of his shoulder and doesn't make it worse

I am thinking of my dad and what an amazing dad he was to me.  I sure do miss him.  It's been 11 years today that he moved to heaven with my mom.  What a blessing from the Lord he was in my life.
I woke up early so got up, read my Bible and prayed, walked for 2 miles on the treadmill to good worship music.  Bill and I had oatmeal for breakfast.  He had appointments at the VA and also with our Insurance agent.  He had more discounts he wanted to give us, one being a military discount Yay!  We will save $86 dollars more every six months!  I joined the prayer session with Intercessors of America and listened to the amazing men and women of God talk about the elections and pray.  What a great time of prayer!  Bill came home just when I was trimming the tree in the front.  It was way overgrown.  He wanted to take over, but I told him no.  He picked up all the branches instead which was such a huge help.  Good teamwork.  We ate, then went to church for our prayer group. More prayer and praise to God.  The Holy Spirit moved in an amazing way.  Came home and started watching the election results.
Adam kept me informed that they were watching and what was happening by texting me.  He's the cutest!  The kids all voted.  Melissa and Bruce didn't do in person voting, so didn't get a picture of them.

Monday, 11/2/2020, Bill went to coffee with Charlie, I went to Vikki's

Peyton and Isaac with their kaleidoscopes that we made

They are cool to look through

It's taking a long time for our tree to turn yellow.  Doesn't look like it will be as yellow this year.

Sunset through our front window

Beautiful Sunset tonight

I got up at 6 a.m. to pray and spend time with the Lord.  Pastor called a day of prayer and fasting for our church.  Very thankful he did.  Much to pray about.  Bill went to have coffee with Charlie.  I went to Vikki's to help Peyton make a kaleidoscope while she helped Isaac.  They were pretty hard for kids their age to make by themselves. They turned out nice.  Peyton cut her American Girl Doll's hair.  Vikki was pretty upset with her.  She is making her send it to the hospital where it will get a new head with new hair for $25.  Peyton has to pay for it.  Peyton told me she was really really sorry when I saw her.  She cut one of her Barbie's hair too.  She usually doesn't do things like that.  Isaac learned a couple more songs on the piano.  He played Way Maker for me.  I took chicken noodle casserole and dessert to Charlie and Sue.  He called me later to tell me how good it was and that he ate more that he should have.  Very sweet of him to call.  Bill talked to him for a few minutes after me.  I went to Vikki's to take her some voting stuff she needed since she didn't bring the kids tonight.  She found out she doesn't have to work.  The kids don't have school because of the election.

Sunday, 11/1/2020....Went to church, sold our fold up bikes, Went to Frankenmuth, first snow, but it didn't stick, very windy day!!!

Isaac loves playing the piano and learned two worship songs off You Tube today.

It snowed and stayed on the deck for a while today
Bill at Bavarian Inn
Borrowed these cute pictures from Kimmy!  Kenzie and Peter...Peter is 18 years old now.  When Kenzie was small, no one could touch Peter.  Than one day Kenzie came out of the barn carrying him, and he has been such a nice cat ever since.  Lots of memories for Kenzie on Aunt Kimmy and Uncle Jared's farm.

Aunt Kimmy with Kenzie

Our goodies from Bavarian Inn

Went to church early to pray with prayer team.  Great worship, moving communion time remembering what Jesus did, a great message and a day of fasting and prayer tomorrow called by Pastor Ken.  Yay!
Our missionaries to Indonesia were there today, and it was so good to see them.  After church, I made eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast, then we went to Birch Run to meet a couple who wanted to buy our fold up bikes.  Sold them for $275.  They were really nice.  It was a good thing Vikki told me to fold them like a sandwich...wheels for the bread and the handlebars for the center.  Bill was having a little trouble showing him until I opened my car door and reminded him.  The guy was happy to have that info to remember how too.  Thanks Vikki and thanks for posting them for us to sell....not to mention you and Kimmy cleaning them, and Kimmy sewing the bag to the one.  On our way home, we stopped at Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth.  We had fun walking through it and it wasn't too busy, which surprised me after seeing Bronner's with lines of people outside.  We bought Apple, raisin, cookies, banana bread, and cinnamon bread from the bakery.  We got some yummy candy from the candy shop too.  Stopped at Vikki's on our way home.  Relaxed after we got home.   My prayer time for IFA was from 4:30 to 5. We watched America's Funniest Videos.  Talked to Melissa and it is so windy today, the wind is blowing down their chimney and causing problems with their furnace.  Bruce took all the brick off and got the chimney ready for the mason guy to come work on tomorrow, and it is so short with the brick gone it is what is causing the problem.  Praying for all to be well with my precious family and let them know we are here if they need anything.  Face Timed with Vikki a couple of times and she showed us Isaac playing the piano.  He is learning worship songs off You Tube and doing great and learning them fast.
Loved hearing him play.  Kenzie messaged me that she had been at Kimmy and showed me the nice things she gave her.  Kimmy was without power from the time Kenzie and Travis left in the afternoon until 10:30.  They still had fun playing games and plugged the generator in and used what they needed til the power came back on.
