Sat., 4/17/21...Worked more on pulling out weeds and roots, Bill mowed the grass, sat outside and did morning reading

Bill getting some wood for the fire.  On the other side of the fence by him is the machine below.  The farmer is cleaning out the edge of the field. I thought it would be easier to see when I took the picture.  It sure was noisy!

One of Kenzie and Travis's garages all cleaned out
Nice seeing Adam, Eli and Jacob having fun kayaking on the river...Kimmy and Jared are in the canoe
Bill's ear today
This is what Bill does when he doesn't want me taking a picture of his good ear to show Vikki so she can compare it with his swollen ear.
                                                                            Joel
We had our oatmeal and coffee.  It was a nice sunny morning, so I read outside.  I heard the mosquito spraying plane and then saw it going back and forth, so I came inside.  Bill was reading his Bible too.  We both did our discipleship lessons.  Bill decided to mow the lawn.  He picked up the big pieces of grass I had dug out from around the brick pillars out front.  I went outside and dug more weeds with roots attached.  I transplanted some flowers in the woods too.  Then I picked up some sticks and put them on the fire Bill started.  I heard a lot of noise, and when I got closer, I could see a big machine cleaning brush from the edge of the property nest to our woods.  I could see it good, but it sure didn't show up good in the picture.  I did a load of laundry so we could add our dirty clothes we worked in.  Our umbrella Bill ordered for the pool deck came, so Bill put it together.  Went to Wes and Gayla's for dinner.  Had, sloppy joes, German potato salad, chips and salsa and lemon pie.  Played 3-13.  Talked to Kenzie, Face Timed Vikki and the kids, talked with Melissa and talked with Kimmy.  Texted with Adam and Jacob!  They were so happy about going kayaking on the river.  Love seeing the picture and hope I see more on Kimmy's  blog.  Jacob said his mom and dad took lots of pictures.

Friday, 4/16/21, Cleaned the house, steam washed the kitchen, utility and hallway floors, Bill injured himself outside, Had electrical outlet put in on Gazebo

Bill's poor ear.  The lower bandaid is covering where the stick went through, the higher on is another cut from something
Me snapping a picture of the back of his ear for him to see...the picture in the mirror is clearer than the ear I was aiming the camera at

Piece of wood that pierced Bill's ear
We took the bandaids off and cleaned it....still bleeding so put another bandaid on

Bill went with Charlie to have coffee.  I decided I would clean the house while he was gone.  I got the vacuuming done and then was ready to steam the tile floors.  Meantime, Bill got home and was helping a friend, Gene, who is an electrician who goes to our church.  Just as I was about to start steam cleaning the kitchen floor, Bill came in the door.  A bunch of black stuff was all over the floor where he came in.  I asked him if he could at least take his shoes off because I was cleaning the floors.  He said he was hurt, so I went to help him.  He was unwinding wire cable and walking backward on the deck when he came to where the step up is and backed into it and fell backward, hitting his head on the post by the steps and proceeding to fall off the deck into the mulch below.  He had a piece of wood from the mulch that pierced his ear and was a little through the back side too.  He wanted me to pull it out for him.  I washed my hands, prayed for God to guide my hands, and also that he wouldn't get infection.  I got cottonballs out to clean it off, wiped it down with alcohol, put antibiotic ointment on it, and put two bandaids on.  It was bleeding pretty bad.    I told him he should get it checked out, but he wouldn't.   The black stuff was mulch from where he fell.  It was all over his shirt.   He took me outside and showed me where he fell.  I brushed him off so the rest of the mulch would be outside not inside.  He worked a couple more hours outside.  I dug around the brick pillars outside, so I can put bark around my plants and it will be easier for Bill to mow around.  I dug out more around my hydrangea too.  We read our Bibles out on the deck.  We had spaghetti for dinner, then I changed the bandaids for Bill.  He wanted to leave the bandaids off, but it was still bleeding so I put a bandaid on again.  Vikki called and asked if I wanted to meet them at the rail trail and watch the kids on their hover boards.  I went and Vikki and I got a nice fast walk in while the kids did great on their new hover boards.  Nice they each have one now, so we don't have to time them and hear them ask all the time if it's their turn lol.  Came home and watched a movie with Bill.  Talked to all the girls today and texted with Jacob and Adam.

Thurs., 4/15/21, Vikki brought Peyton and Isaac, Went to give Debbie her Birthday Gift, Nice visit with Fred, Carol and Debbie, Sam's Club with Vikki and Rody

Debbie with her etched wine bottles, wine glasses from Hawaii, and flowers her brothers and sisters went in on for her birthday
Fred, Debbie, Penny, Bill, and Carol

Isaac, Aunt Debbie, Peyton

We had our oatmeal and coffee, did our morning routine, then got ready for our visit with Bill's sisters and brother.  Vikki brought Peyton and Isaac, and she brought me a yummy smoothie too.  Thank you Vikki!.  Vikki told me I didn't need to do spelling with the kids today, because she thought we had to get ready.  I told her we were already ready, so I would still do spelling.  The kids weren't to happy about that, but I gave them each a word they had trouble with and they couldn't spell it, so spelling practice it was.  Isaac only missed one, and Peyton missed three.  We went to Carol's, to meet with Fred and Debbie and give Debbie her birthday gift.  Carol came up with the idea of the etched wine bottles with writing on them.  The one has A - 73, B - 72, C - 71, D - 70....which is Angie and her age, Bill and his age, Carol and her age, and Debbie and her age.  Carol came up with the idea of the bottles.  Debbie really liked it because she likes wine.  Not exactly what I would think of getting.  We had a nice time visiting.  Everyone has had their Covid shots.  Fred's 2 week post time is over tomorrow, and mine is Monday.  Everybody but Debbie wore face masks because Carol has COPD.  We dropped Peyton and Isaac off at their house on our way home.  They played car bingo as we drove and had fun finding things on the card.  We went to Home Depot to look at wood prices.  In the evening, I went with Vikki, Rody and the kids to Sam's Club so Vikki could get a big bottle of shampoo like we love, for Rody's Aunt Ann.  She uses the same kind.  We walked around for a while.  Came home and did my blog and watched Leave it to Beaver.

Wed., 4/14/21, Vikki brought the kids over, Picked up shed for Vikki and Rody, Went to church for discipleship/Bible Study.

Isaac surprised me and had the pencils, paper and eraser out on the table for spelling.  He even numbered both his and Peyton's papers.  What a sweetie!
Our snack tonight...ice cream with lots of toppings

Dad had an early therapy appt. this morning.  I ate strawberries for breakfast and then had a banana.  Did my reading, devotion and worship time, then walked around the yard and looked at my plants. Vikki bought Peyton and Isaac over and visited a few minutes before she left for work.  It was so nice how Isaac surprised me when it was time to do spelling and had all their stuff out on the table and even numbered their papers.  I was really nice to them and didn't ring the school bell...(they don't like it when I ring the bell every day their here for school to start).  They did great o their words and did a great job reading.   I asked them what they wanted to do afterwards and they wanted to play 3-13 and have chucklet chops...(chocolate chips).  I had -69, and they were both over 100.  Isaac crunched up the score paper real quick lol.  I made egg/bacon/cheese/bagel sandwiches again when Vikki came.
We picked up a Craftsman Shed for Vikki and Rody at Lowes and dropped it off.  Rody got out of work to be there to help unload it.  Went to church for class.  Bill told me Pastor was out of town, but I told him class was only cancelled for 2 weeks, so we had it tonight.  Found out class was canceled and pastor is on vacation.  Came home and finished my spaghetti I didn't have time to eat.  Watched Leave it to Beaver.

Kenzie gave me this cute raccoon pot because we always had raccoons in the basement window wells.  I planted a hen and chick in it
I transplanted a Christmas Cactus I started for Kenzie  today!

I got up early because I thought Kimmy was coming at 8.  Vikki had told me she texted Adam and that's the time he told her his mom would be coming.  I made a pot of coffee right away for us to have, then got ready, read my Bible.  It was 9 and she still wasn't here, so I did my morning reading, and then put worship on.  Vikki got up earlier than she had planned, so she and the kids came over.  I had just finished digging around the brick post in the front by the driveway so my plants would grow better, and it would be easier for Bill to mow around them.  I was pretty tired after all that digging, so will do around the other post tomorrow.  Kimmy was talking to Vikki and told her Jacob had to take his PSAT test so she couldn't come til later.  The bonus was that Jacob got to come too.  Vikki was going to show me Adam's text, but when we looked, we couldn't find where she asked him the time.  We found where she and I were texting and she texted 8 for when the Chosen was going to be on the next day.  I didn't get up much earlier than normal and it was nice to have everything done and the birds fed too.  Peyton and Isaac sure love that Hoverboard.  They are both wanting to use it.  Vikki has to keep track of who's been using it for how much time.  When Kimmy and Jacob got here, Jacob got on it in the house and it didn't take long and he was used to it and going backwards even.  I made egg, bacon, cheese sandwiches on bagels for lunch.  Vikki helped me put the sandwiches together.  Jacob liked it too.  We were all full after that big sandwich.  We went outside and the kids rode it around in the driveway by the shed.  Jacob came out and did great on it.  We girls sat and watched them.  Kimmy and I walked around and looked at my plants, then we all sat on the deck with Bill.  It was 63 degrees but windy.  Glad the sun was out at least.  Vikki, Kimmy, Jacob and I played 3-13.  Kimmy was the big winner.  Bill fixed my faucet.  Thanks, Kimmy, for finding the model number and ordering the free part.  It sure works great now, and it is so nice to have pressure for hot water too.  Kimmy is always saving us money!  Everybody left after that.  I dug up more weeds with roots out by the woods.  I lost track of time, and when I came in, I realized I only had about 25 minutes to make and eat dinner.  I made spaghetti really quick and we ate it down fast.  We finished just in time to join the Faith Rider's Chapter  Zoom Meeting.
It was nice seeing everyone on the screen.  Poor Elaine is still sick but joined us.  She sure didn't sound good though.  3 girls had Covid, so that is why we just are doing Zoom Meetings.  At 9 we watched Season 2, Episode 2 of the Chosen.  Then we got a surprise when we listened to Dallas afterward.  He showed a sneak peak of Episode 3, then told us we were going to get to watch it right then.  It was a great episode.  I did this blog afterward, so it was midnight before I went to bed.

Mon. 4/12/21, Spent the morning worshipping...awesome worship with Brandon Lake and Maverick City. Bill and I went to Melissa's to see and eat Evan's science project, Vikki and the twins came over

Peyton is pretty good at hover boarding now
Peyton holding Papa's hand while he was on the hover board.  Good thing I didn't see him.  Not exactly what he should be doing after 3 knee replacement surgeries and now recovering from should surgery!  He's a big kid at heart!
Peyton holding my hand...this was the one second I was steady on this thing! YIKES!!! Will this sweet girl really be able to hold me up if I fell??????
Isaac is Mr. Cool on it!

Vikki loved the bacon and egg sandwich I made her so much that she took a picture of it

It was raining in the morning.  Bill had therapy at 8:15 today.  He got up early, but I slept in until 8.  I enjoyed worshipping the Lord today with the awesome worship of Brandon Lake and Maverick City.  I ended up in tears because of the words to the worship songs and how awesome God is.  After I finished, I read my Bible and devotions, then started doing some things around the house. I decided to walk outside while it wasn't raining. It was 51 degrees out.  I put some acidic stuff and pine needles around my blueberry bushes.  I also put some around my hydrangeas, and then saw on the package that it turns the blossoms blue.  I want my white blossoms, so I went back and scraped it all away from my plants and put new bark around them.  Hopefully that keeps them from turning blue.  I started digging more weeds out to get the roots out too.  I worked for about a half hour, then picked up the ones Kimmy and I dug yesterday.  I was tired and really warm when I was done, so changed into capri's and a tee shirt.  I made a bacon egg sandwich on a bagel for me for breakfast/brunch.  I did some laundry, then talked to Kimmy.  Vikki messaged me that she doesn't have to work tomorrow, so she and Kimmy are coming over.  Another fun day to look forward to.  Melissa called and invited us to come eat the cake Evan decorated as a cell for his science project.  When we got there, Evan showed us it through the door.  He was so excited.  He had explained what everything was to us on Face Time last night.  The cake was delicious.
Then Evan played his recorder for us.  He sure can play it well.  He sounded great.  Bill and I went to Sam's Club after that.  He also picked up some engraved metal plates he had made up for the Marine Corp League.  Vikki called and the kids wanted to come ride their hover board at our house.  Of course that made Nana happy.  Bill went out with them while I made egg and bacon sandwiches for Isaac and Vikki, Peyton had McDonalds, and Bill and I had chili I had thawed.  Vikki had been hungry all day for another one of my sandwiches.  She's so cute!  When they came in, Vikki showed me the picture of Bill on the Hover board. YIKES!  After we ate, I went out with them.  Vikki had chairs set up, and we relaxed while we watched them.  I tried getting on that thing holding on to Vikki and Peyton. (Isaac didn't want me to get hurt, so he didn't want me to try)  I got on, but it sure is hard to balance on that thing.  I was so wobbly, but for one second I did pretty good and Vikki got a picture.  I won't be trying that thing again.  Peyton and Isaac go all over with it now and can even do some tricks.  They make it look so easy, but it's not.  I talked to Melissa a few times and texted with Adam.

Sunday, 4/11/21, Went to church, Went to Kenzie's, Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came over and brought their Hoverboard

Kenzie and Mylee.  Mylee is getting so big!
Kenzie holding Mylee

Isaac trying the overboard in the grass. It didn't work to well yet since he's not used to it

Peyton on the Hoverboard

We went to church.  I prayed with the intercessors and Bill and the elders prayed over Pastor.  Today's message was excellent and so was the worship.  After church we came home and ate egg and bacon sandwiches on bagels.  We went to Owosso. The eagle was sitting on the next when we went by.  Met outside with Bev and Ron to go over plans for our CMA State Rally.  Accomplished a lot.  Went to Kenzie's to take her laundry to her.  She gave us a cute Raccoon planter, because it reminded her of us and the raccoons we've always had in our basement window wells. We filled them in, so we don't have them anymore.  Bill went in to go to the bathroom.  He met Travis's mom.  His brother was there too.  His mom brought shelves for them, and was washing dishes and reorganizing the kitchen for them.  We took the country way home and just enjoyed the beautiful day and the ride.  Vikki came over when we got home.  Bill took a nap after he watched the kids ride on the Hoverboard.  Vikki, the kids and I played 3-13.  Isaac won.  Adam texted me lots.  He mixed sloppy joes, egg salad and cream of chicken soup in a bowl and texted me YUM!  He loved it.  I wouldn't even try that.  YUK!  I talked to Melissa a long time.  Charlie called me to thank me for lending him the book, The Christian Athiest.  He loved it!  I did too, and so did Phyllis when I lent it to her.  She went and bought it.  Charlie is really seeking the Lord and getting close to Him.  He bought a new Bible and is reading it too.
