Tues, 8/10/21, Vacuumed garage and washed garage floor mats, Dusted and vacuumed upstairs, Kimmy and the boys came, Had CMA Zoom Leadership meeting

                                                                                Eli
                                                                           Jacob and me
                                                                    Eli, the angel hider
                                                                            Adam

Bill hung four new LED outside porch lights. He did a great job.

Bill took the garbage out and the bag he took out of the garbage can leaked beet juice.  He got some on his feet, so called me to get him paper towels.  I took up all the rubber floor matts, then washed them outside, then wiped up the floor and vacuumed the whole garage. I dusted and vacuumed upstairs, and packed some things for the thrift store.  Kimmy and the boys came over.  It was a super hot muggy day.  I made ice coffees for us and we ate muffins.  Adam, Jacob, Kimmy and I played a game of 3-13.  Kimmy beat Jacob by 1 point in the last hand.  Poor Jacob, Happy Kimmy.  Really poor me, as I had over 200 points.  Kimmy, Jacob and I went to Sam's Club so Kimmy could get a Microwave like ours there.  We sure like ours.  Jacob loaded it for us and carried it to my car when we got home and Kimmy couldn't fit it in their car.  Bill was hanging outside lights out that we got at Costco last night.  Jacob helped him.  They look so nice up.  We can turn the switch on and when it is dark, they will come on automatically if we want.  Jacob, Adam, Bill, Kimmy and I played 3-13.  Jacob and Adam tied in the last hand, but then after the score was written down, Adam readjusted his hand and came up with 1 less point.  We still called it a tie because what was written was written, but he's a winner too.  Jacob sure didn't want him to get that score and beat him.  We had fun playing.  Eli is a stinker like his dad and is hiding my angel figurines on me.  The older boys at least are trying to help me find them.  I found one, but can't seem to keep up with Eli's hiding them.  Kimmy had to pick Jared up from work in time to go pick up their van which was being fixed, so we left at 4:15.  Jacob and Eli rode with me in air conditioning, since I had to go to Costco in Midland to pick up another porch light for Bill.  Jacob carried it for me.  When we were done, Jacob and Eli got pops for 59 cents, and we picked up one to take to Adam.  We met Kimmy and Adam at the car repair place.  Adam was happy to get a pop because he was so hot.  He had told Kimmy he was thirsty.  They were sitting in the hot car, so we talked them into coming to join us in our air conditioned car.  Whenever anyone would open a door for even a minute, we could feel super hot air come in.  We saw them take the van for a test drive, and then we saw them come back.  Jared came out for a minute and talked to us.  Jacob ran around the building once while we were waiting.  The rest of us stayed in the cool car. Jared came out and gave the keys to Kimmy and we all headed home.  Kimmy and family had to go home, and then go to the fairgrounds.  I came home and we ate, then had our zoom meeting.  It went well, but lasted a hour and a half.  Bill hung the last porch light after that.  I talked to Melissa and Vikki.  Kenzie's bunny had 6 cute babies today.  There was one that didn't make it, but these ones look healthy.

Monday, 8/9/21, Froze some beets, made cabbage soup, went to Melissa's, went to Costco

Evan, Max and Jack with donuts from Papa and I

Breanna and Hailey came and had donuts too
I made Marie's cabbage soup recipe
We got the upstairs bed back together after Bill glued it.

Bill went with Charlie at 8.  I slept in until 8:30.  I cooked some beets from the garden up to freeze.  I also made cabbage soup.  Marie gave me her recipe and also gave me some onion spice and chicken stock in a bag.  That was so sweet of her.  After I got the soup simmering, I went to Melissa's and dropped off some donuts Bill and I had picked up at Sam's Club for them.  The boys all came out to say hi and talked to me for a while.  Hailey and her friend, Breanna came there too.  We all visited for a while outside.  It was so hot and humid out today.  When I got home and got out of the air conditioned truck, my glasses steamed up so bad, I couldn't even see out of them because of the humidity.  I read my Bible and prayed, then Bill got home and he read his Bible too.  The cabbage soup tasted yummy.  Bill took the clamps off the bed footboard and we put the bed back together.  He helped me put the bedskirt under the mattress and then we made the bed up.  It looks so nice and really brightened up the room.  I moved some things out of the room and also packed up some things for the thrift shop.  In the evening, Bill and I went to Costco.  We got some new outside lights for the garage and porch there.  When we got home, we watched Melissa and Bruce's wedding video that Tim Krause videoed for us.  It sure brought tears to my eyes.
I had a highlight moment too, when Bill was watching and said to me, you looked gorgeous.  He was so sweet.  Their wedding was beautiful and so touching.  Lots of people showing so much love in it.  Next we will watch Kimmy and Jared's on the 30th.  These videos are sure treasures.

Sunday, 8/8/21, Happy 23rd anniversary Melissa and Bruce!

Bruce and Melissa....So thankful God brought them together.  They are a godly, sweet and amazing couple

Bill and I relaxing on the deck after our swim

This Monarch Butterfly was so much fun to watch going to all the zinnias.

Pumpkins are huge already

I got up and got ready, then Isaac got up. I got his breakfast ready, then went up and got Peyton up.  She wanted toast with jelly for breakfast, so I made some for her.  I read a couple of Psalms and then we talked about them.  Papa told them that when it talked about God being our refuge, it means shelter.  When we were in church, Pastor Jeff mentioned God being our refuge and Vikki leaned over and told Isaac it means our shelter.  I guess God wanted Isaac to know that.  I love God moments like that.  Prayer before church was awesome!!!   Got to go orders from Olive Garden.  Bill got some corn from Dave after church.  After we ate lunch, Bill and I went for a swim.  The water was nice and felt so good on such a hot muggy day.  We relaxed on the deck afterwards.  Bill shucked the corn and when I came in the house after hanging my towel up, he had the corn cooking already.  All I had to do was warm up our take outs.  Bill cleared the table for me and loaded the dishwasher, then took the corn cobs out to the garden.  I picked tomatoes and zucchini.   Isaac and Peyton face timed me to recite James 1:1-4.  Isaac said it perfectly.  Peyton only needed help with a few words.  I love how they are hiding God's Word in their hearts.  Bill and I watched Melissa and Bruce's wedding DVD and enjoyed it so much, except for seeing so many that aren't with us any longer.  It touched our hearts seeing them on the video though.

New curtains hung, but Bill had to glue the footboard of the bed because a piece of wood chipped off when I moved it.  The curtains look kind of grey in the picture, but are off white.

Got up early to get Bible reading in and time with the Lord.  Had some good worship time after that.  I dropped off some things to Goodwill, then took the bedspread set I got yesterday back.  Bill and I found one we liked better at the At Home Store last night.  Bill went to sit at the booth at the car/bike show at Garber's.  He entered our Trike in the bike show and won a huge trophy for Veteran's Best Bike.  I went to Midland to see Kenzie at the shop where she is displaying her pendants and jewelry today.  She has a beautiful set up.  She also had caramel apple suckers and waters to hand out.  I loved my sucker.  We drank some tea and Mocha's.  We had fun hanging out together.  She bought me and her mom really cute cozies for our coffee mugs.  So sweet of her.  She had me pick out the one I liked, I thought for Vikki, but then she really got it for me.  Thank you Kenzie!  Kimmy, Jared and the boys came to the store about a half hour after I got there.  We had fun hanging out too.  I left at 1 to get home for when Vikki dropped Peyton and Isaac off for me to watch.  The kids and I went and picked McDonald's up and came home to eat it.  Peyton and I swam for a while.  The water was nice and warm.  It was such a hot day in the 80's that it sure felt good.
Bill grilled hot dogs on the grill, I cooked potatoes and 6 ears of corn I got out of our garden.  It was yummy.  Peyton and I dropped off our 23 chipmunk.  We all went to Mooney's for ice cream, which we all enjoyed so much.  We came home and played 3-13.  Peyton, Isaac and I were talking and having fun.  Papa was serious and telling us we should be more serious.  Isaac won, Peyton came in second, I came in third and Mr. Serious came in last.  I guess it pays to just joke around and have fun.  We watched a Beaver, I read the Action Bible to the kids and then tucked the kids in and prayed with them.  Bill and I relaxed in the nice air conditioning.  Vikki and Rody had a good time at Josie's wedding.  They took some really nice pictures which I posted on this blog.

Friday, 8/6/21, Went to Kimmy's to take Jacob to Band Camp, Hailey came and helped clean camper, We got to see some of Hailey's Senior Pictures, Went to Sam's and the At Home store

Got a new bedspread set for the upstairs greet bedroom
Hailey at Taco Bell

Hailey's sneak peak at her graduation pictures taken yesterday!

I got to Kimmy's at 8:30.  Took a couple of containers of cookies, so the boys and I had some when I got there.  Jared was having his MRI.  I'm praying for a good report for him.  I took Jacob to band camp, so Kimmy could go with Jared.  It was a great morning seeing all of these wonderful grandsons.  I loved seeing Wyatt too....he just smiled and smiled at me, so I sure gave him lots of attention.  Then Steve came running when he saw me, so I had to give him lots of attention to.  I went to TJ Max and the Home Store.  I picked up a bedspread set, but decided it didn't like it as much as I thought I would.  I talked to my Best Friend, Vikki, for a half hour in the parking lot at TJ Max.  Hailey came over at 1 and she helped me clean the camper.  She was sure a great worker.  Everything is dusted, floors are swept and mopped, bathroom is clean, windows are washed.  While we were working we listened to one of my playlists on my phone.   I had just downloaded two new worship songs.  When the first one played, Hailey said she had to download that song, so she did.  Then when the next one played, she said she had to download that one too.  She's so cute and I am sure glad she loves worship music.  Marie and Roy stopped over and dropped off copies of "The Banner" for Bill.  We visited a few minutes, then they had to leave to go to prayer.  Hailey and I took pop cans back to Meijer after we were done.  Then we went to Taco Bell for lunch.  We came back to my house and we relaxed out on the deck for a while and listened to worship music.  After she left, I got comfy and was going to take a nap, but it didn't work out, so I decided I didn't really need a nap.  I talked to Vikki a couple of times which I would much rather do than nap.  I talked to Kenzie a couple of times today too.  Hailey messaged me to let me know I could look online and see a few of her senior pictures that were taken.  They all turned out so beautiful.  I called her to let her know how much I loved them.  Then I called Melissa, so we could discuss each one and how much we loved them.  So fun!  We had nachos for dinner, then Bill and I went to Sams and the At Home Store.  He helped me find a really nice bedspread set that I like lots better.  We got curtains to match too, but will put them up tomorrow.   Came home and we made the bed upstairs up after taking the bedskirt off and putting the new one on.  Then we made our bed up because I washed the sheets today.  Then we rested.

Jacob got his new bike yesterday!

Made an ice coffee to have with my oatmeal this morning.  Sure tasted good.  Went to Melissa's before it got too hot, to go for a morning walk.  I texted Hailey when I got to Melissa's and she wanted to go with us.  Jack wanted to go too.  We had a nice walk and talk.  I came home and did my morning reading, devotions and praying.  Defrosted one of the basement freezers.  I have to do the other freezer tomorrow.  I only have enough coolers for one at a time.  Want to get that job done, because lots of things are starting to come in the garden now....beets, corn, peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, and squash.  I got caught up on going through the mail from when we were camping today.  Took the outdoor pop up changing room/shower to Hailey so she can use it when she changes clothes for her senior pictures that are being taken today.  Suzie K. from church is taking them and she does a great job.  I stopped at Aldi's and got some groceries too.  Picked lots of stuff from the garden today.  Had Bill drop some off to Charlie and Sue.  He mowed the grass today.  I hauled stuff back out to the camper.  Yesterday I caught another mouse in the live trap.  Haven't caught anything today so far.  Had to water plants tonight because it's getting dry around here.
