Monday, 2/7/22, Fun day at Kimmy's

Having my hot tea in a tumbler of Kimmy's with a cozy Kenzie got for me
Wyatt was super excited to see me today.  I sat in this chair and held him, then had to get up for a minute.  He jumped in the chair and smiled like this at me for a long time as if to say ha ha it's my chair now!  I love my Wyatt!
Eli trying to show me how to play Simon Says...I'm not so good at it he found out
Eli brought the lambs to show me

I loved seeing all of the lambs and the sheep too.
Me holding Daisy's twins
Thought this picture was funny with the lambs tongue out
Eli with Koala and Bo
Eli and I giving Bo some love and attention

Adam in his new room

We ate Raisin Bran Crunch (the noisy cereal) today.  Bill had coffee and I had mint tea.  It was a day of changes for me for breakfast.  Jack called me and I put him on speaker.  He wanted to tell me about a text he sent me last night.  He said when he wanted to write, I can't wait to meet Kit-Kat, spell check changed it to, I want to eat Kit-Kat.  We all had a good laugh over that.  He sent it to me after he corrected it to read meet.  We talked for a while, then I knew he had to start school work so I told him Gtg....got to go.  He taught me that in his text last night.  What would I do without my grandkids???  I sat down and started reading my Bible when Kimmy called and told me Blanch had her lamb.  Happy news!  She invited me to come over since Adam's room was done, Eli was off school, and Jacob only had a half day.  I got ready and then headed to Kimmy's.  I loved seeing Adam's room in person.  It's so nice and it's got everything he needs in it.  They really did an amazing job.  We ate muffins and drank our coffee while we visited and Eli showed me a few videos that were really good.  He showed me his room that he has all to himself now too.

We went out to the barn to check on the new lamb, and for me to see all of the lambs and Bo.  The new lamb is so cute, but when it was born, Kimmy said it stood on its own, and now it was laying flat with all legs out to the side.  Kimmy and Eli fed it and Kimmy helped it stand, but it still couldn't stand on its own.  Blanch didn't lick her lamb off, so it was still wet.  Kimmy wiped it down with a towel. and put it in a warm pile of hay to lay down.  We went out to see Bo and he didn't want to come out of his lean to because it was snowing out. Eli went and got him and we gave Bo some good treats.   Eli brought him into the stall in the barn so we could be warm and pet him.  He is such a nice horse!  So much fun on the farm.

We went and picked up Jacob from school.  Kimmy drove and the back roads were a little slippery, but the main roads were good.  We got a little ways and Kimmy saw that Thor the cat was traveling with us in the van.  I was happy to see Jacob when he got in the van.  I always love spending time with grandkids.  We went back to Kimmy's and Kimmy and I went in the barn to check on the lamb.  It still was all sprawled out and not able to stand.  We fed it again, then Kimmy worked with having it stand again.  It doesn't want to put any weight on it legs.  She warmed it up and made a nice soft hay spot for it to lay in.  It's mom did lick it some so that was good.  We went back in the house.  I sure did pray for this lamb and will continue.

Eli made us macaroni and cheese for lunch.  He did a great job and it tasted delicious.  We visited more, than left to pick Adam up from school.  I drove my car this time and it quit snowing and the roads were great.  Kimmy looked and I was going 67 mph.  It sure didn't feel like it. Of course I listened to my daughter and slowed down right away.  I put it on cruise control after that. I was probably going slow compared to Jared ha ha.  We talked to Vikki while we drove there. We picked Adam up (a little late because I missed a turn) (we still had to wait for him though lol.)  I was happy to see him and we had fun talking on the way home.  When we got home, Adam showed me his room and got up on his bed.  He sure is happy with his own room and so is Eli.  They are so cute.

I talked to Melissa a few times for a long time, and also talked to Vikki a couple of times.  Did my daily texting with Adam.  Bill had to go to Trinity Riders to present some CMA leadership info.  When he got home we relaxed on our loveseat recliner.  I love my grandkids and I sure do pray lots for them.

Sunday, 2/6/22, Went to church, took Stacie's birthday present to her, worked on CMA state website

Kit-Kat playing with her toy.  She loves it in this cage in the house

Stacie opening her birthday present....shower curtain she wanted for their camper from online, and liquid hand soap, a small plaque that says "Blessed Assurance, Jesus is Mine", and a scrubby from from Mennonite store.

Peyton
Vikki can braid so well now.  These kind of braids are hard to do

We went to our prayer groups, Bill with the Elders praying for Pastor and the service, and me going to intercessory prayer.  Then we went into the service.  The worship was awesome and we took communion which is always special.  When I went to open the wafer, the juice foil peeled back instead.  Bill was nice and took it from me to try to get the wafer out without spilling the juice.  He was having a hard time, so I was praying for him, then he got it.  He had handed his to me.  Somehow after all of this, he spilled the juice.  After communion, he went into the bathroom and tried to wash the grape juice out, which only made him look like he wet his pants lol.  I had to go out with the kids when they were dismissed because I was helping in kids church, so I didn't see Bill when he came back into church.  He told me later that he was trying to fan his pants so they wouldn't look wet.  When it was time to go up to pray, he pulled his heavy fleece top down as far as he could.
Poor guy, and all he was trying to do was help me.

After church we came home and had eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast for brunch.  We both took short naps after that, then we went to take Stacie her Birthday gift.  We have been waiting because she wanted to be safe and do it when Kody hadn't been to his Karate class, and we were being careful because of going to Iowa.  We all are vacinated, but Covid is spreading so fast, we didn't want to take chances.  It was so nice seeing them.  She loved her birthday gift, and was happy to get the shower curtain she picked out that matches her towels I got her for Christmas.  She is always so sweet and very caring.

I texted with Adam this morning, then talked to Melissa when I got home from church, then talked with Vicki in the evening.  Bill and I snacked on carrots tonight.  We are trying to eat healthier.  We haven't been doing too good lately.  Vikki told me she bought carrots to have as snacks too.

We are going to watch a movie.  I just need to find a good wholesome one.

Sat. 2/4/22, Went to Sandusky, Went to Mennonite Store in Snover, fed the birds and birdwatcher

Students cheering on the Varsity Basketball team.  Hailey is on the very far left third row bottom playing the trumpet.
Kit-Kat in for her morning warm up
Beautiful ride to Sandusky this morning.  The air was crisp in the 0 degree temperature.  Beautiful sunrise!

The roads were covered in ice with a trail in the center of the road that was bare sometimes

We got up early to take showers and then be ready to leave at 7 for Sandusky.  We got about 5 miles from home, when Bill realized he forgot his notebook with everything he wanted to share in it.  We turned around and came back home to get it.  We went to the Bikers Across the Thumb Chapter meeting.  Bill had to share some info on upcoming events with them at the end of their meeting.  It was a slippery ride at times from Richfield to Sandusky, with ice coating half of each side of the road and at times the whole road.  Glad there wasn't much traffic.  There weren't many at the meeting on this cold day.  Only 11 of us.  Bill did a good job sharing what he needed to share.  We stopped at Country View Mennonite Store on our way home.  We picked up the rest of Stacie's birthday gift.  Also got some bacon, meat, and a few other things.  It's such a nice store.  We had an icy drive home, but the sun was out and was starting to melt the roads a little.  Once we got to Richfield, the roads were great again.
Kit-Kat came inside when we got home and enjoyed some snacks and getting attention.  Bill brought in a couple of bags of wood pellets while I held the door for him.  This year he has bring them all in.  Last year I did as he had his shoulder surgery and couldn't.  He did get me a little thing to set the bag on and wheel it in that made it easier.

We took a nap in our love seat recliners.  We ate left over pizza and had an apple muffin.
Watching a Little House tonight.

Friday, 2/4/22, Breakfast with Maddy, Got gift cards at Kroger, read some on my book, spent time with kitty

No pictures today.  Met Maddy at Fuzzie's for breakfast.  We went at 10 so it was almost empty.  We sat in a section by ourselves and enjoyed getting to know each other better.  Our friend, Kevin, who just passed away, just got her husband a job at Fullerton where he was in charge of hiring.  He had gotten lots of people from church jobs there. Alec felt really bad when he heard about Kevin.  Maddy told me today that she found out she had gone on a mission trip to Puerto Rico with Kevin and Vicki a couple of years ago.  It's is a small world. We did a lot of sharing before we left there.  I stopped at Kroger to pick up gift cards which are quadrupled.  Came home and gave Kit-Kat attention and some treats.  Read our Bibles and prayed, then I read on my book.  Talked to Kimmy and she sent me pictures of Adam's room.  They sure did an amazing job, and have nice shelves up for him, and nice hooks. We had a nice talk, then Vikki tried to call us both, so I hung up so she could get through to one of us.  She talked to Kimmy, then me.   She invited me over for when Kenzie comes tonight, but it was so cold I didn't want to go out when it was dark and cold.  Bill and I ate pizza from Hungry Howie's and Little Caesar's.  We watched a documentary on Ellis Island, then a Little House.  We each had a bowl of ice cream.

Thurs. 2/3/22, Read on my book, Bill and I went to Costco, watched a movie

Lela had one boy lamb today....If they want girls, they need to name a sheep Penny.  Those Russell's always have boys lol.  I always had girls.
Jasper's owners sent Kenzie this picture today.  Such a beautiful dog.  They said he is happier and they are really working with training him.  They are changing his name to Kingston and will call him King.
Kenzie always said he'd come in with a white nose.  Well here he is with snow on his nose.  I am so happy he has a good home.  Two big dogs makes lots of work if one isn't trained well.    Mylee is much happier now that she's the only dog.

My paper white has an open flower now.  Looks like it could be the only one, unless the new sprout coming up has flowers.

We enjoyed our oatmeal this morning.  Bill had coffee and I had mint hot tea.  We read our Bibles, and prayed.  Bill snow blowed the driveways and made paths, and I cleaned our bedroom and bathroom, and did laundry.  I also read on my book, The Emotionally Healthy Woman.  Our pastor's wife is teaching a class on this book and it sounded good, so I got the book and may take the class next time.  I was going to take a different class Jay is leading, but when I went to sign up, the registration was closed.  Guess I will have the rest of the winter off.  I am having fun, watching as Kimmy, Jared and the boys are working on Adam's room.  I love getting pictures of their progress.  Bill and I went to Costco to pick up a few things.  We picked up some apple muffins and are they ever good.  They are huge, so we split one after we had our chili.  We will be watching a movie if I can find a good one.  I saw a good Christian movie people were saying to watch, so we might try to get that one.  We watched the Movie, Free Burma Soldiers.  The faith of this family and others in it was amazing. Jesus did awesome things when they prayed.

Wed., 2/2/22, Snow day for all grandchildren doing in person school, about 6 inches of snow fell today

Kimmy and Jared Sheep are having some cute lambs this year.  Looks like boys rule this year!!!
Della's single boy
Emerald had cute twin boys..nice surprise for the Russell family this morning
Paperwhite blossom coming
Beautiful snow day!

Snowy day...birds were happy I filled the feeders yesterday

Lots of different kinds of birds today!  So many!

I sure love seeing pictures of Kimmy and Jared's newborn lambs.  They are so cute! I cancelled getting together with Maddy today.  Didn't want to get caught in a white out and didn't want to drive on slippery roads.  Been there, done that.  Talked with Kimmy this morning.  I was happy to hear twin healthy lambs were born.  Poor Kimmy and Jared forgot that Jacob still had to go to Delta when his school was closed.  They thought about it when they came in from the barn.  Jacob missed the bus, so Jared drove him all the way to Delta.  At least the roads weren't as bad as later in the day.  Bill wanted me to go with him to meet Charlie and Sue at Nora's for breakfast.  Bill drove the truck.  We had a nice breakfast and there were only a couple of people in the restaurant.  Breakfast was delicious.  We mailed Haiti coffee to Bill's sister Angie.  It's delicious coffee and it helps people of the community to keep working and growing crops to provide for themselves and get out of poverty.
Bill snow blowed the driveways, and I vacuumed and dusted upstairs, and also the living room, kitchen and family room.  Melissa called and I talked to her for a while.  Then Vikki called and I talked to her.  Love having a close family.  I got lots of cards ready today.  Prayed over them before I send them out tomorrow.  Warmed up chili for dinner and had ground bologna on homemade bread for sandwiches.  House is nice and cozy with the fire going in the fireplace.  Thankful for the home God has blessed us with.  I texted with Adam today, however we said good morning, good afternoon and goodnight in one text.  He invited me to play Phase 10, but I couldn't join for some reason.  He said we all might play later.  I will wait to see.

Tues., 2/1/22, Warm 47 Degree Day today, Rained in the evening and will turn to snow

My paper whites are sure growing
Kit-Kat spent the day outside because it was so nice.  At first she wanted to come in the house and did lots of meowing.
Then she looked like she was thinking about going off the deck to explore
Then she begged one more time to come in
Birds were plentiful at all the feeders today.  Storing up because they know a storms coming
Peyton eating a piece of my homemade bread
Isaac eating a candy bar from Papa
Vikki and I with our delicious root beer floats
Kit-Kat wandered over to the other side of the deck.  Then Vikki saw her go under the pool steps.  She was gone for quite a while, so I called her so the kids could give her some attention.  We all ended up going outside.  At first we didn't know where she was, but then we heard her meowing under the deck.  Sweet Vikki dug some snow away, so there was room for sure for her to come out.  She would stick her paw out, but wouldn't come out.  We all tried to coax her, but she stayed put.  Finally we came back in the house, then we saw her come up on the deck.  I went out by myself and called her and she came to me.  The kids loved giving her attention.  When she started acting too frisky, Vikki put her in the garage for me.  She stayed in the garage once it started raining.
Peyton giving Kit-Kat lots of attention.  Isaac was too, but his eyes looked weird in the picture and were glowing lol, so I cut him out.

Bill and I enjoyed our oatmeal and coffee this morning.  I made bread in the bread makers.
We read our Bibles.  Bill had some errands to run in town, so I put on worship music while he was gone and made ground bologna.  Vikki and the kids were supposed to come have chili and ground bologna sandwiches after school was out.  Vikki forgot about it, so she was headed home.  I called her and she had just ordered a Burger at Rally's.  Peyton told her she would eat the burger, so they headed here.  Vikki loved the ground beef sandwiches on homemade bread. So did Bill and I.  The kids didn't eat any.  They didn't eat any chili either.  Vikki and I did.  We were pretty full afterwards, but not to full to enjoy the root beer floats Vikki made.  She brought the stuff for them and we all thought they were delicious.  I sent chili home for Rody and Had Vikki take some ground bologna and homemade bread.
Melissa called, and she and her family were sad to have Riley go home today.  They sure have enjoyed having her.  Vikki picked up our free N95 face masks for us at Rite Aid.  We really appreciated her doing that.  I delivered chili and ground bologna to Kim R.  Her hubby was moved back into intensive care tonight with breathing difficulties from the Covid.  I also took some to Charlie and Sue's.  Took some homemade bread too.  Charlie has fluid on his lungs again.  Both can use prayer.  I went to intercessory prayer.  It's always a good time of powerful prayer.  We prayed for Mark and Charlie while there.  When I got home, the school closing list started growing.  Vikki's and the kids schools closed finally. Peyton and Isaac don't want a snow day.  Silly kiddos!  Hailey and I were texting waiting for hers to close.  Finally at 10 it did.  She was one happy girl. I was a happy Nana because I didn't want her driving in bad weather.  Kimmy's boys schools aren't on the list yet.  They are always last to close.  Kimmy sure could use a day having them home enjoying a snow day.  Maddie messaged me and wants to have breakfast together tomorrow morning at 10.  We will have to see what the weather is like now.
