Wed., 8/9/23, Took Adam to soccer, Went and bought motorhome, Adam went for a swim, took Adam to soccer,

Went to look at a motorhome
We loved all the storage and the layout, so we are getting it
One long slide out
Adam found his resting spot right away
I delivered a McFlurry to Peyton and a shake to Isaac.  Peyton has Covid and has to stay home.
Isaac came outside but didn't get close
Adam swam for a long time.  He said it helped his sore muscles, so that was good.
Adam wearing his new soccer shoes.  I will be able to see him even far away in those shoes.  He is a pretty cool kid.
Kenzie made up the invitation.  I ran them off and cute them to fit in a 5 x 7 envelope

Got ready and then made sure Adam was up at 8.  Took him to soccer.  He sure gives it his all.     Vikki had to go to her work to watch work videos.  Bill and I went to breakfast in Midland.  We went to Cafe M.  It was a really good breakfast.  Then we went to look at a motor home Bill found.  We really liked it, so took our time going through it.  Bill stayed there, while I picked Adam up at 11.  We went to the camper place and showed Adam the camper.  He liked it too.  We ended up getting it.  We went through it a 3rd time.  It has so much storage, I think I can fit everything from out big 5th wheel in it easily.  It is 10 feet shorter than our 5th wheel.  Kimmy called.

We came home and Adam swam for a long time.  I made spaghetti and watched him out the kitchen window.  After he got done swimming, we all ate, then I took him to his soccer.  I picked him up 15 minutes later because he had to get stuff out of his locker at School.  He was right on time.  Kimmy and Jared called to talk to Adam and I on our way home which they do every night.  They love their boy!

I ran off invitations with Kenzie's and Travis's help.  I was trying to do it from my phone and they came out the wrong size.  When Kenzie found that out, she had me go to my computer.  After a few tries, she had me running them off and they came out perfect.  I cut them to the size to fit in the envelopes.   Vikki and Kenzie are coming tomorrow to address the envelopes and put the invitations in.  So thankful for them.  Stayed up til midnight.  Yelled up to Adam to see if he was still awake, but no answer.  Went up and turned his computer off.  He was watching old shows.  He didn't wake up.  He has been sleeping really good. I am thankful he is doing great and feeling so much better.  Thank you Jesus!

Tues. 8/8/23...Happy 25th Wedding Anniversary Melissa and Bruce! Took Bill to get his injection, Took Adam to his soccer tryouts, Kenzie came over, worked on invitation stuff, pulled weeds,

Happy 25th Anniversary to Melissa and Bruce.  What a wonderful daughter and son in love you are.  I am so thankful God brought you together.  I love you both so much!
Evan came out to greet me when I stopped in this morning

I was sad this morning when I saw Adam's bike had a flat tire.  Papa was working on it already when we got home from soccer.  He had Adam help him and they went to get a new tube and now it's as good as new.  Nice they could do it together.
Peaceful pictures

Adam ready for soccer tryouts
Kenzie made these nice pins up for us.  She is one talented girl!
On my ride to go get Adam from soccer

Got up early to take and drop off Bill at the Pain Clinic for his injection.  I gave them Vikki's number to call because she is picking him up for us.  Came home, made sure Adam was up at 8 and then took him to soccer tryouts.  Came home and did some laundry.  Called Melissa to wish her happy anniversary and asked if I could pick anything up for her for Bruce since she can't go anyplace right now.  I went to the Patisserie and got the things she knows Bruce likes.  Went to her house and dropped them off to her. Evan came running out to say hi to me which made my day.  I headed home to give myself my shot.  It was super easy and no pain at all. Then I headed to pick up Adam.  Kimmy and Jared called as usual.  I love having Adam, because I hear from them lots more.  We stopped on the way home and got $1 fries at McDonalds for Adam.  Then we came home and warmed up hamburgers and ate here.  I gave him a choice and he picked my burgers.  Papa came in and told Adam he had his tire off an needed his help.  They got the tube out and brought it up to the hose to check for leaks.  Bill could hear it leaking.  They went to Bicycle Village and got a new tube, came home and got it all back together.  Nice they could work together on it.  Adam was happy it was fixed.  I sat out on the deck and read my Bible today.  I'm reading about Joseph.  God can turn any situation into good.

I took an hour nap which felt great.  Then I pulled weeds outside, and cut a branch off the maple tree and also a thing growing in my plants I couldn't pull out.  The squirrels were using the branch to jump to my flat feeder and sit on it eating the birds food.  I fixed them.

I made chicken for dinner, and air fried potatoes.  We had beans out of the garden and cucumbers too.  Adam loved the chicken.  He had two pieces.  I heard on Klove today that Aldi's red bag chicken breasts taste just the same as Chic Fil A, so I decided to try it.  I had some Chic Fil A sauce too, so Adam and I dipped our chicken it that.  Yum, it was so good.  Tomorrow night he wants spaghetti.  I worked on filling out an invitation to send Kenzie.  She came over and took some nice pictures of us tonight for our invitations.  She and Vikki didn't like the birdhouse in last night's pictures and some other things.  So tonight was retake night.

I had to leave to go take Adam to soccer, and she had to leave to drop off Taco's to Vikki.  That was sweet of her too.  I got Adam, and Kimmy and Jared called and talked to us.  We sure love our after soccer talks with them.   When we got home, Adam took a shower because he was so hot and tired from playing.  He relaxed after that.  I talked to Kenzie and Vikki, then totally forgot I was going to call Jacob.  It was so late I sent him a text instead so I wouldn't wake him if he was sleeping.

Monday, 8/7/23, Took Adam to soccer tryouts, then Urgent Care, Went to 6 stores to find invitations, Went through pictures, grilled burgers, took Adam to practice

Ha Ha, Adam took this picture for us and when I looked at it I told him our neighbors house was too close in it.  It was our birdhouse lol.

I got ready and took Adam to his soccer tryouts.  He was up when I called up to him and got everything around by himself.  I dropped him off and started heading home, when I got a call from Jared saying he needed a sports physical to be able to play soccer.  I had just passed an exit, so had to drive farther, then headed back.  Took Adam to Urgent Care (he already had looked up the closest one and had directions). That was great thinking on his part.  I had done the same thing.  We went there and went in.  I had to call Jared to get permission by phone for them to be able to do the physical.  While I did that, Adam took the form to a seat and he filled the whole thing out and only needed me to sign and date it three times and put the insurance information needed in.  He was sure amazing.  After that we went to his school and I went with him to the Athletic Office and he turned the medical papers in.  The office girl told him he had to fill out one more form and could do it on his phone.  We went outside so he could get a better signal.  It was slow, so he asked to use my Hot Spot and filled that form out too.  Then he took it in while I got the car.  He went and practice for the last half hour then.  Kimmy called after he was done to see how it went.  Jared told him he was amazing, I did and then Kimmy did too.  We were all so proud of how he handled the situation and how mature he was.  We stopped at McDonald's on the way home and I got him a McChicken Sandwich and some fries.  He went upstairs to relax, Bill worked in the shed and took the big GenerX generator to Carol's.  He picked up Max to help unload it.  I went to six places looking for invitations for our 50th.  I tried Hobby Lobby, they done have cards anymore.  I went to Party City, Staples, Target, The Dollar Store, and Hallmark.  The Dollar store had some but I didn't like them that well.  Hallmark was almost all out of theirs too, but I did find some that were pretty.  I talked to Kenzie and she is going to make some up for us if she can.  I went home and started looking through pictures to get a picture from our wedding and another one.  I couldn't find one without a grandkid in the middle of us or food in the middle of us.  Adam took some for us outside.  Vikki and Kenzie want to take a better one because of the birdhouse and the way I cropped them.  I liked how Adam took them.  Peyton tested positive for Covid.  Jack and Melissa have it and Jack went to the ER and is on a steroid because of his Asthma.  I am very glad because he sounds terrible with that cough and it's scary not to be able to breathe good.  Melissa had a virtual appointment and the dr. ordered a steroid and also Covid medication.  I am thankful for that too because her oxygen was dropping.  I love my precious family and want everyone healthy.  Bill went to Trinity Rider's meeting and I grilled burgers on the grill for Adam and me.  I made some extra to warm up too.  At 6:20 we left for Adam's tryouts again.  I got a hot fudge brownie cake from Big Boy to go and ate that, then went to Costco and picked up Protein Drinks for Bill.  Came home and unloaded things, then went back and picked Adam up.  I forgot my phone and he texted me that he was going to walk up by his school and see if he could find Claire.  She was at band camp.  I could hear the band playing.  At 9:30 Adam walked back to where I was parked and asked if I got his message.  I told him my dilemma, and told him I wouldn't forget my phone next time.  Kimmy and Jared called to talk to him after his tryouts.  He answered everything with a yes, no or good.  Kimmy asked if he was texting Clair and he said yes.  Kids!!!!! Came home and Adam when right upstairs to rest.  He said he was really tired and his back was sore.  We relaxed in our recliners.

Sunday, 8/6/23, Brielle's 1st Birthday..watched church online, Adam is spending the night, watched a good movie called Badge of Faith

Happy Birthday to our Brielle!  We love you!
We are happy to have Adam stay with us.  He is taking over the upstairs.  Has a refrigerator with his food and drinks in it. We are keeping our distance until we for sure know we won't come down with Covid since we were exposed.  He has soccer tryouts Mon-Fri.

I was supposed to teach Sunday School, but my throat was sore and I had to keep clearing it.  It sometimes is sore because of taking Zyrtec, but thought it felt more sore, plus don't usually have to clear it.  I called Joan, our Pastor's wife, and told her we had been exposed to Covid.  We decided I shouldn't take a chance on spreading anything.  Bill and I watched online and took communion with our church family.  It was an amazing message.   I made scrambled eggs, sausage and toast afterward.  It pretty much rained all day.  My plants and the garden needed watering so that was a good thing.  Talked to Jared a couple of times and got things figured out about what our plan is for Adam.  He's staying with us and we are going to be super careful.  He left after they got everything set up upstairs and went to Jacob's last concert.  I sure wanted to go to it.

Adam was very responsible and made sure he had everything needs for soccer practice all packed and ready for the morning.  He made sure I knew what time he needed to leave in the morning too.   He worked out on the treadmill for a while.  He sure is in shape with all his bike riding and working out.  What a great kid he is!

Kimmy face timed me which was a real treat.  It was so weird though.  It was still light out there and I could see the trees really clear.  Here it was pitch black outside.  Must be because of all the rain clouds.  Bill and I watched the movie Badge of Faith.  It was based on a true story and was a really good movie.   Talked to Melissa a few times today.  Jack is having problems breathing since he got his sore throat, because of his Asthma.  I sure am praying for him.  Praying for Melissa and Evan too and that the rest don't get any symptoms but stay healthy.  Talked to Vikki a few times to check on them.  Praying for Peyton, Isaac to feel better too and Vikki.  Praying protection for Rody and everyone else too.  Our niece by marriage, Ashtyn texted with me and sent me cute pictures of their baby.  My great niece texted me lots today too and sent me pictures.

I got up early so I could pick the garden before it got too hot.  I got lots of peppers, 4th of July Tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, string beans and long cucumbers.  Bill left to go help with the Marine Corp. league booth at the Garber Car Show.  He asked me to meet him there in a little while.  I texted with Maddy and she wanted us to come to Brielle's 1st Birthday Party at the Church of the Nazarene.  We weren't going to be home, but came home from camping a day early so happy we will be able to go to her party.  Bill did the folding of the flag at the Car show.  I will have to add pictures later.  I walked around with Bill at the car/bike show.  We ate yummy turkey and ham subs and chips for lunch there.  They had really good free food.  Bill brought me some tickets to put in containers to win prizes.  He put some in too.  All the baskets were won, except the last one which was a surprise and was covered by a box.  They drew my number for that one.  Yay.  We went to the birthday party and had fun.  Brielle and William were so cute.  We had fun watching then together.  I came home, and Bill went on the motorcycle to his friend's house to get his coffee mug he left on the booth table.  I put all the stuff that was in the tub on the table for Bill and I to go through.  He added lots of stuff up and said it is around $200 worth of stuff in the tub, including the tub.  He took some things he wanted.  Vikki and Kenzie came over to use my car to go to Kenzie's Aunt Stephanie's house to pick up lots of baby stuff she is giving to Kenzie. Kenzie is so blessed with nice stuff already. They looked at the stuff on the table and thought it was great stuff too.  I gave them each  few things and also gave the some veggies from the garden. They left to go to Stephanie's.  Kimmy called me from the Fort in Copper Harbor.  It was so good to talk to her.  Bill talked to her for a minute too. Vikki and Kenzie got back and they got to talk to her too.

I did laundry and bedding from the camper today.  I went out and made the bed up and put stuff away.  I also put the slide outs in.  Ran some veggies to Lisa and her mom and took the left over cake from Wes and Gayla's 61st Anniversary.  Melissa met me in the driveway.  Max came running out as soon as I got there because he knew I had the cake.  He and Evan didn't get any yesterday.  Picked Bill and I up an egg salad sandwich to share and some chicken noodle soup for bill.   Filled bird feeders, made oriole food and put suet out.

Called Jacob and talked to him at night to make sure he was all safe and sound at home.  I'm excited to go to his concert tomorrow night.

We went to Brian Pruitt's Class in the morning.  It was another great one!  We went for our cookie and coffee break, then Bill and Vikki left to go hang up some of our State Rally Signs in town.  I went to my second class.  I was happy to see Marcia there.  We exchanged names so we could become Facebook friends.  She is such a nice person, I told Vikki she could be my life long friend.  The class was really good.  At the end we got together with Aaron, Marcia and I and prayed and discussed which Let us in Hebrews was a challenge for us.  I had Bill and Vikki pick up a cake for Wes and Gayla.  The decorator at the store went home, so Vikki wrote on it at our camper.  She sure did an amazing job.  Vikki packed up and loaded their stuff in her car.  She decided to leave before the service tonight too.  I found out from Wes and Gayla what time would be good to have the cake at our camper with some other friends.  I packed up things in the camper for a while longer, then at 1:30 everybody came.  We had fun celebrating with Wes and Gayla and the cake was yummy.  We packed up the rest of our stuff. Bill had to help our neighbors next to us get out of their site because they were stuck in mud.  He used a tow rope to pull their truck and camper out.  The rest of us were praying for them to get out and cheering them on.  It worked after two tries.  We told some people goodbye and went to tell Wes and Gayla goodbye.  They came over to watch Bill get the camper out and be there if he needed help. They are the best friends! We left and Bill got us right out of our spot with the Lord's help of course.  He did great. I went to tell Evan good bye while Bill dumped our tanks, but he wasn't in the tent.  We missed seeing Hailey when she came back to BayShore too.  We unpacked everything when we got home.  Bill carried in the food and while I was carrying my things, he put all the food away.  I was so thankful and gave him a great big kiss.  I made eggs, sausage and toast for our dinner.  Then we started making our list out of who to invite to our 50th wedding anniversary party.  He helped lots with that too.  Started writing addresses down too.
