We went to church after prayer.  Prayed for people at the altar after church.  Went to eat some Birthday Cake at the VA hospital.  Brad and his mom followed us.  Everyone had already left.  We all had cake, but there weren’t any plates so we ate on napkins.  Bill did find forks in the cupboard for us.  We had some good laughs trying to eat it without forks.  We left there and went home because our friend Gene from church who is our electrician, came to try to help us figure out why our power is out.  He thinks a wire is broken so Bill has to check all switches and plugs to try to find it.  I picked Jack up at 12:45 and took him to his school for his band concert.  Went back home and we ate some goulash.  Went to Jacks concert at 2:45.  Sat with Melissa and Bruce!  After the concert, we took pictures, then headed home quickly and changed in 10 minutes, then headed to the Double Tree for the Marine Corp. Ball.  Busy day for sure!!!  We had a great time and the food was so delicious!  We came home and read our Bibles.
Relaxed for a while and worked on the blog. My cousin Jim turned 85 today!

Saturday, 11/9/24, Adam finished clearing and then painted the basement, We went to Peyton’s play

Bill got up on the roof and power washed the siding. It was moldy and dirty.  He did a great job although he made me very nervous. I sure prayed for him!
Bill also did the back of the house, the did our front sidewalk.  We have to pick up the filler for between the bricks.  That’s a project for this week

Cute Peyton

I got up and shortly after, Adam got up.  We ate breakfast and then I read my Bible.  I talked to Sue to see how she was doing.  She still was having a hard time so I prayed with her. Adam was already downstairs mopping the floor.  Every time we changed the water it was super dirty. He’s such a hard worker and did an amazing job cleaning it. Bill called me and was at Menards and wanted me to look at a paint sample colors and together we decided on one. We picked light grey and Bill brought the paint home.  Bill and Adam brought the air hockey game up to get rid of it because the leg was broken.  After that, Adam started painting.  He only took time off for eating lunch and dinner.

Sue called me to let me know she was with her sister in law and was heading to her friend’s memorial. I was so happy to hear she was going.  I had been telling her she should, because I knew it would be good for her to get out of the house and be around friends.

When I told Adam I was making goulash, he asked me if i would do him a big favor and make enough for him to take Hope a container of it. Of course I said yes!  He’s so thoughtful!!! Hope has walking pneumonia and is just starting to feel a little bit better.  I have been praying for her.

Kimmy, Eli, Vikki, Rody, Isaac, Vershon, Ann and Bill and I went to Peyton’s play again.  They did an even more amazing job tonight.  Lots of great actors and singers.
Peyton did so good and sang right out. She has a beautiful voice!

We got home and Adam had the whole basement painted and also the stairs and walls around the stairs done.  So amazing that he could get that all done in a day! We were looking at the basement and he FaceTimed Hope.  She wanted to say hi to me.  I was so happy to see her and talk to her.  She still looks under the weather. I told her I was sending her some goulash.

For some unknown reason, after we got home,  The power was off in the living room, dining room, half of the kitchen, the back outside lights, the lights inside our shower (the rest of the bathroom lights worked) the hallway and the light in the utility room.  The washer and dryer work, my refrigerator, stove, microwave and coffee pot all have power.  We tried lots of things but nothing worked.  Bill texted our friend Gene to see if he can stop after church tomorrow.

Friday, 11/8/24, Vikki came over, Kimmy and Jacob came over, Bill picked Max up, Bill, Jacob, and Max picked Eli up from school, They went to Jays, then Cops and Donuts

Kit Kat caught a vole and put it right in front of our door...Good Kitty!
Eli enjoying a donut from Cops and Donuts as he showed me on his phone how he checks calories and logs stuff in
Jacob...so nice having him spend the day
Adam drove over after school.  I’m so glad he loves to drive and likes to come over
Eli, me, Adam and Jacob....I am really looking short these days

Adam is giving our basement a good cleaning and is doing an amazing job.  I have been dreading doing it, but he wants to do jobs to earn money, so it didn’t take me long to find one.  Bill is going to have him paint the basement next.  He is an awesome worker who does everything cheerfully.  I sure am appreciating him.

I got ready.  Vikki came around 8:45.  Kimmy was on her way and got here shortly after with Jacob.  I had picked up blueberry muffins, so we all had one for breakfast.  Vikki had tried to make her oatmeal, but the packs she opened didn’t look good, so she didn’t eat them.
We had fun hanging out with her until she had to go to work.  I was on the phone praying with Sue when Vikki left.

Bill picked Max up and brought him over, so we all watched him skillfully working on fixing a gun he and Papa wanted to practice with.  Bill took Jacob and Max to Clare to go to Jays and then to Cops and Donuts.  Kimmy and I watched some NewsMax news and then decided we were tired so we would take a little nap until the guys got back.  Well they got back a couple of minutes later, so no naps for us.  They had brought us yummy donuts though, so that helped us wake up and not feel tired any longer.  They were the best donuts too.

Vikki called after she got out of work, and wanted us to meet her at an Estate Sale.  The first one was not going to be until tomorrow, so we met her at another one.  Kimmy, Vikki, and Eli found stuff they liked and bought.  Eli FaceTimed Rody and showed him some cool camera things that Rody liked and had him pick up for him.  I didn’t find anything I couldn’t get along without.  It was fun looking together.  The stairs going upstairs were a little scary as they were steep and the floor was crooked when you got to the top.  None of us enjoyed going back down them.  I was glad there was a handrail.  They paid for their stuff and then Vikki left to pick up Isaac from school, and Kimmy, Eli and I went to Menards so Kimmy could buy a broom to go with the cool long handled dustpan she got at the sale.  When we got back to my house, Adam was there.

Jacob had to leave.  Bill started looking for watches for Eli.  He found one Eli really liked and gave it to him.  They had fun looking at stuff in Bill’s big tote.  Kimmy and Eli left after that and Adam stayed and is going to spend the night.  He wanted to get right at cleaning the basement, so I showed him what to do.  He started vacuuming and getting all the spider/cobwebs out from the rafters in the ceiling.  When he finished that, he and I went to Subway and picked up a 6 inch rotisserie chicken sandwich.  Adam got a foot long with tuna, tomatoes, pickles and sweet onion dressing on it.  He looked at Hope’s text to see what to get on it.  He’s so cute.  Then he went downstairs and vacuumed the floor and dusted everything off that was down there.  He washed some tables off.  He came up after that and will mop the floor tomorrow.  What a great worker and wonderful grandson he is.  We all relaxed in the living room after that.  I worked on my blog to get it done, so he can use the computer to play a game with his family at home.

Wed., 11/6/24, Happy to see President Trump is for sure the 47th president of the USA! Read my Bible, worshipped, watched more results on the election, yay we got the majority in the Senate and looks like we will the house too. Went and visited Sue, Bill went to Wes’s to take the wall down that got smashed with Ron’s help, they winterized Wes’s camper for him too. Went to Culver’s for a fundraiser for Evan’s 8th grade class and the 7th grade class

Pictures from last night once President Trump was declared the 47th President.  Never want to forget this election and how God moved!  All of those false charges that the democrats tried to dream up and charge him with with their unjust judges are going to be dropped.  No real evidence and all the people who voted for him knew they were trying to set him up so he couldn’t run, so were coming up with false accusations.   People with evil plans were running the government.
While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  There are some things we all do in our past that we regret, but how wonderful it is that when you come to Jesus, behold He makes all things become new, the old has passed away.  We are new creations in Christ.  What great forgiveness God has given me.  His mercy is new every morning.
America has spoken....he got the most electoral votes and the most popular votes.  Now with God’s help we will make America Great Again.  No free abortions at his Convention.....but his opponent provided free murders of babies to whoever wanted them.  EVIL!

I tried one at therapy and it made my hands feel so good!
I love this picture of Melania Trump and their son Baron...So touching!  What a beautiful and gracious First Lady!!!

We really enjoyed our dinner with Melissa and Jack at Culver’s.  Evan and his class did a great job, greeting, picking up stuff from tables and washing down tables and seats.  Wonderful fundraiser and nice that lots of us who knew each other from the school were there at the same time

Jack, Evan and Connor
I’m trying my paraffin melter for the first time tonight.

Got up at 8:30 and read my Bible, then did my hand exercises and watched more election results.  I talked to Sue and prayed for her and I heard Bill at the same time praying with Wes on his phone.  He went to Wes’s to help Ron tear down the wall that was crashed into and also winterized Wes’s motorhome.  I went to my doctor’s appt. but when I got there, I realized I had mixed the time up with tomorrow’s therapy and I had missed my 10:45 appt. I am rescheduled for next week now.  Bummer.  I felt so bad!

I went to Sue’s after that to spend time with her and see if she needed help with anything.  We worked on helping her know how to use Charlie’s phone and got quite a bit figured out.  Her Kitty came right up to me and greeted me, then came and put her front paws on my lap.   She sure is a friendly cat.  After we visited, I took some trash out for Sue and also got her mail.  Then I headed home.  Bill had picked up the tractor and had the grass cut.  He was working on digging out some overgrown Iris’s.  Not an easy job.  I was amazed at all he had gotten out   We came in the house.  Melissa had let me know that Evan’s school fundraiser was at Culver’s tonight.  We decided to go at 7 and stayed until 8 pm.  Lots of people from the school were there and it was fun watching all of the kids help with everything.  Evan did a great job.

We came home and relaxed.  My wax melter was almost ready to use.  I worked on my blog and now the rest of the wax is melted and ready for me to try it.  It worked great.  Feels so good on my hand.
