9/20/17..went for a bike ride, went swimming, Sightseeing with Vikki and Terry

I enjoyed the pool all to myself this morning.  It was so warm and nice and beautiful outside

Love how the whole end is steps so you have lots of room to get in.  The pool holds 167 people

Kiddie pool isn't getting used so is pretty dirty

We went to a light house museum, but walked down to walk by the water first.  Bill walking down the ramp

Terry walking down the ramp with Vikki's purse...we laughed about that

Bill, Vikki and Terry on our walk

A nice guy who was an army veteran offered to take our picture together

This is the army veteran with Bill.  His wife wanted to get a picture of the two of them so I took one too.  He was so nice...had a great personality

The water was beautiful along our walk

Vikki and Terry

I didn't know Bill was going to do the same pose...I was laughing because I was just going to stand next to him and then he pulled me over and put his arms around me.  What a cutie!

The Lighthouse museum...It was $5 to go through it so none of us wanted to pay it.  There are lots of free lighthouses to go through

Uncle Terry redid the guest bathroom and took out the bathtub and put a  tile shower in.  This floor he put down in the kitchen, foyer, hallway and this bathroom.  It was beautiful

Shelves built in inside the shower.  He does amazing work!

We ate here and it was the best Salmon I have ever tasted.  YUM!  Close to the State Park in Muskegon

View outside the restaurant

Took a shower in the camper.  There is city water in the campground so it smells great and there is lots of water pressure.  Went on a bike ride after breakfast and then Bill read his book while I went for a swim.  There was a lady sun tanning, but I had the pool all to myself.  Such a big pool here.  The water temperature was 80 degrees and it was in the 80's so it was wonderful.  Spent 40 minutes swimming and moving so got lots of exercise.  Came back to the camper at noon and was going to make lunch.  Just finished changing and Vikki and Terry came to get us.  She had tried to call me, but I didn't check my phone while I was at the pool.  They were supposed to pick us up at one so didn't expect a call.  Terry was having allergy problems so made a doctor appt.  They came early and we went to his dr. office and waited in the waiting room with Vikki.  We went to Taco Bell for lunch and then went driving around by Whitehall.  Went along White lake and stopped at a lighthouse museum. Walked along the water and out to the bay.  It was so beautiful.  A couple men came by and offered to take a picture of the four of us.  He had been in the army and was so happy to talk to Bill.  We walked farther and the same two men were with their wives and were taking a pic of three so dad offered to take all four.  Then they took a picture of the one who was in the army and dad.  This guy had a great personality.  We didn't go in the light house museum because it was $5 each.  Drove by Duck Lake and then went to the Bear Lake Tavern for dinner.  Vikki and I had Salmon, a baked potato and steamed veggies.  It was the best salmon I've ever had and they give you a huge piece.  The guys had perch ad fries.  We came back to Vik and Ter's house and visited.  They brought us back to the campground.  Terry's allergies were pretty bad so he was going to get to bed a little earlier.  Didn't sleep good last night because of his allergies. It was dark out, but Bill built a fire and him and I sat by it for a while.  Played 3-13.  He won!

9/19/17..Went for a bike ride, went for a walk around the campground, Vikki and Terry picked us up to spend the day together

Went for a swim this morning....it was so nice....the kiddy pool is almost as big as the regular pool
We drove down by the State Campground

Train in Grand Haven

Cross on the hill....I found out later it was changed because someone wanted the cross down.  It still looked like a cross even though there is an anchor and a flag so I was happy about that.

We drove through the campground where Bruce and Melissa met

Laundry room they met in

Spot Vikki and Melissa camped in

Picture Vikki gave me of Uncle Terry and their grandkids

Aunt Vikki Clair and Ava

Terry took us on a scenic drive

We ate at the Stable Restaurant.  We each had our bracelet on from Vikki Lynn

Terry and Vikki when the power went out!  Our grandkids picture is on the top of the cabinet in the corner.

Got up and read the Bible.  Went for a bike ride around the whole campground.  Lots of hills so got a good workout.  Made oatmeal for our breakfast.  We walked around the campground.  Found some wood someone left so got the truck and got it. Went to deposit money in the bank and then rode around down by the State Park in Grand Haven. Drove through the campground where Melissa and Bruce met. Came back and played agame of 3-13.  Then we relaxed and read our books until Vikki and Terry picked us up at 1:30.  Went to General RV in Waylon.  Went to Holland and they took us by their church and the by Shani's house.  They took us by the mansion the owner of General RV is building in Grand Haven.  It was amazing.  We went to a really nice restaurant, called The Stable, down the road from our campground.  Vikki and I had the perch and steak and the guys had spaghetti and meatballs.  Great salad bar too.  We were stuffed when we left.  They brought us back to the campground and we followed them to their house to hang out.  Terry put wood floors in the living room and bedrooms.  They look beautiful.  He also put ceramic tiles that look like a grey brick design in the hallway, foyer and kitchen. Blooms amazing.  He took the bathtub out and put in a beautiful ceramic shower in.  He is gifted by the Lord and does amazing work.  We were visiting and the power went out.  They got flashlights out and we visited til the power came back on about forty minutes later.  We stayed til about 10:09 and headed back to the campground.

9/18/17....Finished packing and left at 10:30. Went to the bank to deposit the Marine Corp money. Couldn't do the chai get because they didn't have a counting machine. Went to another bank that had the machine to count change. Finally started on our trip. Stopped at Tim Horton's....Got to campground...Best Friend Vikki and her hubby came to eat with us

Outdoor Adventures in Grand Haven.  Lots of hills in this campground

Lots of places built up like this

Bill, Terry and Vikki on our walk around the campground

Vikki, Terr and me on our walk

Lots of campsites have paved drives and cement slabs

Cottages

Shuffleboard

Cute playground

Big putt putt

Pretty pond with lots of goldfish in it

Campfire with Vikki and Terry

Bill

Lots of campsites have raised fire pits.  You sure don't get very warm by them

Packed all the last minute stuff in the camper.  Went to deposit the collection money when we headed out.  Had to take the change to another bank that had a change counter.  Started on our trip.  Stopped at Tim Horton's for a sandwich, donut and ice tea.  Bill got a cinnamon raisin bagel, a donut and coffee.  We got to Grand Haven and stopped for gas.  Got to the campground and parked while we walked around looking at campsites.  We ended up liking the one we are on so stayed put on 138.  We were setting up and a guy next door came and talked to us.  He was nice and was a Christian.  They are all Christians next to us which is very nice.  After we got set up and registered, Aunt Vikki and Uncle Terry came to eat with us.  We had chili with all the fixings and blueberry pie for dessert.  We walked all around the campground after that.  Came back and sat around the campfire.  We were all too full for s'mores.  Aunt Vikki loved her bracelets from Vikki and put them on right away.  She loved Her thank you notes from Peyton and Isaac and she and Terry thought they have great handwriting.  Next she opened Kimmy and Jared's honey and were so excited!  They loved the labels.  (Jared met me at 6:30 this morning to bring me the honey with their new labels and dryer balls in a pretty bag) Vikki can't wait to use the dryer balls.

9/17/17...Went to church....Bill went to Walmart to collect money for the Marine Corp League ,

Papa and Peyton collecting money for the Marine Corp League

Cutie Peyton
Mommy, Daddy and baby turkeys came passing through our yard today!  They were so cute.  Bill has turkey fever now

Went to church!  The remodeling of our foyer is coming along nicely.  The volunteers from church  started on it Friday.  Pastor's message was really good.  Got to pray with Kim R. after church in the parking lot.  Her back was in a lot of pain after helping at church Fri.  After church, Bill went to collect money at Walmart and I went to Vikki's for a little while.  Came home and warmed up some roast and ate.  Started packing and got everything done except last minute stuff. Melissa and her family went to see Bill at Walmart and took him water and grapes.  Vikki and Peyton went to see him too.  I went to Walmart to see Bill and donate.  Picked up some things for Vikki to take to her.  They didn't have Spatz bread so I went to Jacks to get it.  Helped Bill count money when he got home. Made ground bologna and also made a blueberry pie to take camping.

9/16/17...Went to Jack's first soccer game, Melissa, Hailey, Jack, Evan, Vikki and Isaac came back to my house for roast, carrots and potatoes....went to Adam's soccer game at 4 and then went to Kimmy and Jared's house and hung out for a while

Jack's first soccer game....he was always after the ball....no fear....gave it some good long kicks

Jack's in the grey shirt running towards the ball

Jack was after the ball in each of these pictures plus many more I didn't put on.  I got tired just watching him.

It was so nice that Jack's teacher came to his game.  You should have seen the happy look on his face when he saw her.  He came running to her and gave her a hug!

Adam was really on the move in his game and gave some good kicks.  His field was bigger so it was harder to get pictures.  He has the blue socks on!

Put a roast, carrots and potatoes in the oven.  Made chili for our camping trip.  Got ready and went to Jack's first soccer game. He just started loving any kind of ball, but soccer is the one he wanted to play.  I was amazed how he was always after the ball and kicked it so good.  He was so happy when he saw his teacher was there to watch him play.  Vikki went to Melissa's house to ride with her, which was good because Melissa's van wouldn't start because the battery was dead.  Bruce took Max to his appointment and Hailey was with Ally so Melissa, Jack and Evan got in Vikki's car and rode with her.  Good thing she only brought Isaac.  God sure worked it out so Jack could get to his game.  I met them there and saw them as soon as I got out of my car.  After the game, Vikki picked up Hailey and they all came to my house to eat the roast I had made.  The kids played with legos and Hailey watched a show and then it was time for Vikki to go get Peyton and leave Isaac with Rody so we could go to Adam's game.   Vikki said we needed to leave so we headed to Midland and then realized we were an hour early.  We went to Salvation Army and Goodwill to look around.  I found an Anna Maria Island sweatshirt at Salvation Army.  We went to Adam's game after that.  Adam has improved so much and was really moving after the ball.  He got a couple of good kicks in, but I missed getting a picture. Boo Hoo!  Both games were 3 to 2.  Our grandkid's team's didn't win but they sure played good games.  Vikki took Peyton to the bathroom and when she walked by the concession stand, they gave her the leftover pizza and breadsticks for free.  Kimmy divided it up between the kids at her house.  We had a nice time at Kimmy and Jared's after the game.  Their kittens are so cute.  Love how happy the boys are when they hold them.  Came home and Vikki helped count the collection for the Marine Corp League.
