Friday, 9/27/19...Went to Funeral for Jeff's Dad

Took Melissa to therapy, then went home to get Bill.  We went to St. Charles to Jeff's dad's funeral.  Pastor Jeff Sat with us.  We went to the dinner at the VFW afterwards.  Sat with Pastor Jeff again and also 3 men who work with Jeff who were very nice to talk to.  The food was from Richville and was so delicious.  We picked Melissa up from therapy right after we got to Saginaw.  Dropped her off home and came home and rested for a half hour.  Went to meet Vikki at Aunt Ann's house to watch the homecoming parade.  It started raining.  By the time I got there it was raining pretty hard.  I decided to leave before they closed the road.  Vikki, Rody and the kids watched the parade.  It quit raining for it which was great.  Melissa, Bruce and Evan came over and brought yummy baked beans with burger that Bruce made for a tailgate party that was supposed to be tonight, but it was cancelled because of the rain.  Lucky us!!!  They visited for a while.  Evan said the books of the Bible really good and also played the keyboard really good for us.  They left so they could go rent a movie to watch while they eat the popcorn we dropped off last night.  We relaxed and watched tv.  Bill brought me a milky way candy bar and handed it to me.  What a sweetie!

Popcorn that was donated by Goodrich Theaters for our Movie Night at the Rescue Mission.

Talked to Melissa this morning.  Bruce made it home safely last night.  She has a doctor appt. today because she is congested.  Doesn't have a fever isn't feeling really bad, but doesn't want it to turn in to pneumonia so wants to get on an antibiotic.  I sure am praying for her.  I took her for a blood test this morning. We went to Souper Cafe afterward.  We split a #1...she had the soup and I had the half sandwich which is as big as a regular sandwich.  I took her home and after that Bill and I went to the funeral home to pay our respects to our friend Jeff whose father died.  We stopped on the way home to get Bill some burgers and a shake at Tony's to take home and eat.  I picked up pizza and breadsticks at Little Caesar's (which is what Evan picked) and then went to get Evan.  We went to Bercovich Park and ate while we talked.  Evan wanted to pray after I prayed for our food.  He prayed for anyone who has problems that God would help them.  He prayed such a nice prayer.  We had a nice talk about school, God and lots more.  I sure love him!  Love my "Nana Time" with my grandkids.  I came home and we packed stuff in the car and left to get our popcorn donation from Goodrich Theater.  Then we went to the Rescue Mission.  We had 11 come in for the movie.  They loved the movie, "Coureageous'.   So many great comments during the movie and they all commented on how they loved the movie when it was done.  I love our Faith Rider movie night at the Rescue Mission.  My heart is always so touched and I leave so blessed.  We stopped on our way home and dropped the huge bag of popcorn that was left off at Melissa's.  Bill stayed in the car.  The boys came down and hugged me and were so excited to see that much popcorn.  Jack said it's his favorite night of the year when we do that. The boys were all so cute.  I had to go get Hailey to get my hug and show her the big bag.  She said "Wow" when she saw it.  Nice to see Bruce back at home.

Bill and I put one of the glider swing seats in the garage.  Also moved the cushion chairs to the table into the garage.  Took hummingbird feeders down to clean.  Cut fat off 10 lbs. of chicken breast and packed into bags.  As I was finishing, I looked at the clock and noticed it was 12:15.  My alarm didn't go off because I turned my phone off last night for small group and turned the volume down and didn't turn it back on.  I was supposed to pick Hailey up at 12:15 at Applebees.  I asked Bill to put the chicken bags in the refrigerator and clean up my mess while I took off.  I texted Hailey and told her I was on my way. I asked her if I should pick her up at the school after 12:30 which was a second choice of pick up.  She said yes, so I headed there.  She was very happy because she got to volunteer at the Animal Shelter.  She loved the cats and now wants a cat.  Only $50 she said.  Melissa and I were talking on the phone and told her about her mom's basement cat story and she got a good laugh.  So did Melissa and I.  I came home and then went to pick Jack, Evan and Max up at school.  I dropped them off and visited for five minutes and then remembered Vikki, Peyton and Isaac were at my house waiting for me.  Vikki wanted more of my chili.  That made me happy.  After they left, I took chili, crackers, bread, and cookies to Marie and Roy.  She was doing great after her back surgery, so she was up for 3 hours doing stuff around the house. Now she is paying for it because she's in pain.  Not good to overdo.  We had a great visit and then we all prayed before I left.  They sure a a sweet couple!

It was a cool first day of Fall.  After I prayed and spent time with the Lord, I did some work around the house.  I went to Jack's to pick up burger for chili and some other meat.  I picked Jack, Max, and Evan up from school.  Dropped some ice skates that were Kenzie's when she was little off at Vikki's for her to sell or do what she wanted with.  Dropped the DVD "Marriage Retreat" with David White off for her too.  Bill and I watched it and it was so funny, plus had a great message.  I took the boys home and went in for a few minutes.  Left Melissa's and decided to go wait at Vikki's until Hailey got out of school at 4:30.  We had a nice visit and some laughs about those doggies of hers.  They sure love Nana!  Took them a few minutes to calm down, and then they were great.  I picked Hailey up and took her home.  Played Hillsong's new song, "Are You Ready" for her.  I sure love that song.  She really liked it too.  I came home and made a hamburger, potatoes and veggies for Bill.  I started chili, but knew it wouldn't be done before he had to leave for his Elder's Meeting.  I put Hillsong worship on the tv.  Love how they worship when they are singing.  I ate some chili when it was done.  Did the newsletter for Faith Riders and read my chapter for small group tomorrow night.  Bill got home and we watched the news. His meeting went well.

Max does great on this!

Bruce left on the train for Chicago at 5 a.m. this morning.  It was raining when we got up.  Bill and I went to church.  Bill went back to pray with Pastor and the elders, and I went into the prayer room to pray with the intercessors before church.  Worship was amazing again.  Pastor gave an amazing message too.  We went up to pray with people after church. Brittany and Nolan were still here when we were done praying, so I finally got to hold Bentley!  He came right to me and smiled the whole time I held him.  What a precious happy baby!  We met Nancy and Randy, Phyllis and Andy, Ralph and Nancy, Carol and Bruce and Marty at Berger's after church.  We all had such a great time and we all had great food except Bill.  He ordered shepherd's pie but it wasn't like the shepherd pie we were thinking.  It was a burger with Mashed Potatoes on it, covered with gravy in the middle of the plate.  Then they had grilled veggies around that with mushrooms.  We stopped to get Bill some IvaRest at Meijer for his poison ivy.  He has it on his arm and his ankle.  Called Melissa when I got home.  Bruce made it to Chicago safely and has already ate some pretty good food.  Bill watched Evan, while Melissa, Hailey and I went shopping for Hailey's homecoming dress and shoes.  We went to Macy's and Penney's.  Of course, we prayed first.  The dress she got was $69, on sale for 30% off.  When we checked out, the dress came to $18 which included tax.  We were all amazed.  Then her shoes were only $7 on sale.  It helps that she is in a kids size shoe still.  We had fun together and went to Taco Bell before picking Evan up.  We stopped and got the boys food and then when I left Melissa's, I went and picked Bill up a burger at Tony's.  We watched Fixer Upper and then watched a movie.  It rained a little more.  Plants outside should continue to to good with this great weather.  You will find out which dress Hailey chose when you see her homecoming pictures.

Daryl, Bill and Greg!  We ready to take off and ride to Prudenville to meet  CMA people camping in St. Helen for lunch

Beautiful Amish home we passed

The Lake was beautiful in Prudenville
We met CMA people at Buccilli's Pizza in Prudenville...great food
Greg serving us pizza
Some CMAers in their 4 wheelers

Most of us on motorcycles went on a great ride after lunch

Stopped at a gas station with a pretty store on our ride.  They had a scripture on their gas pump which was so wonderful to see!

Greg relaxing on the single person swing
This girl was real sweet.  She didn't speak real clear English, but I think her name is Paula.  She scooted over and told me there was room on her swing for both of us.  Ha Ha, I was pretty squished.  She and her husband are state reps. for CMA

This store had such beautiful plants

Greg and the rest of the group getting ready to finish our ride
Jeanette and Mark pulled in with their camper.  She was driving, he got out, and she backed the camper in.  I was like WHAT, I only go forward.  Then I remembered she's a bus driver.
She just had knee replacement surgery a couple of weeks ago.  We were so happy to see them.  Haven't spent time with them since we camped with them, Vikki and the twins in Davison.
Daryl, Bill and Greg at the campground

Ron, Sandy, Jeanette, Mark, Kathy, and Jeff (Peka too)
We left our house at 10 to ride to St. Helen.  It was beautiful, in the 70's when we left and then in the 80's.  The ride was amazing.  Loved seeing the beautiful scenery, Amish homes, and buggies. Saw one farmer and his horses harvesting wheat.  They sure work hard.  Got to Buccilli's in Prudenville and had a delicious dinner.  Great salad bar, cheesy breadsticks and pizza.  So nice seeing Roger and Rayleen again. (They used to be our National Evangelists, but retired)  They had an amazing anointing from the Lord.  Sure was great getting to talk to them again.  Mike and Gail were there too.
Most all of the State Leaders came.  After lunch, we went on a great motorcycle ride.  So much fun!
We stopped at a cute store on our ride. We got caught in a downpour for about 5 miles.  Weird...My jeans and top didn't even get wet.  I did tuck my sleeves in my vest. It was a little damp, but dried very fast when the sun came out.  Got to the campground, and walked around to see everyone.  We were very happy when we saw Mark and Jeanette pull in with their camper.  We hung out at their campsite for a while, then had to head for home.  We went to Hemlock Sawdust Days on our way home.  Walked around in the park.  Bill met a friend he worked with there.  Talked to him and his wife for a while.  Talked to Melissa and Vikki when I got home.  Sure was happy to talk to them.
Made my day. Messaged with Kenzie and Chatted on Facebook Messenger with Teresa Fisher.
It was a super fun day!
