Thurs. 8/22/19..Watched Peyton and Isaac, Kimmy and the boys spent the day, packed for our trip

The kids all slept in until 7:30.  Adam and Eli were up first and then 10 minutes later Peyton and Isaac got up.  They ate breakfast and then went outside and played.  Adam stayed in and worked on hooking rubber bands together.  The thing he is making is getting pretty long.  We listened to worship on the TV.  Kimmy and Jacob got here and we sat outside for a long time.  It was a beautiful day out and in the 70's.  Bill had a VA appt.  Kimmy watched some of my videos I had on my computer of We are Messengers singing, and Hailey Barn dancing.  Vikki was working all day, but came over after she was finished.  We sat outside for a while again.  Bill went to Party on McCarty to set up our Faith Rider's Booth and hand out tracks.  I didn't go because I wanted to pack.  The boys watched Fireproof.  We watched the end of it with them.  Vikki was tired so she left.  A little while later Kimmy and the boys left.  I went and got some groceries at Kroger.  We got everything but last minute stuff packed.  Got our speakers on our helmets all charged up for the trip.

Wed., 8/21/19...Took Hailey and Max to their doctor appt., Kimmy and the boys came over, Vikki, Peyton and Isaac came over

When I was done checking them in, here they were saving me a seat between them.  See that huge shelf above them....did they really think I wanted to sit under that!!!!  It was the only spot in the whole place that had a huge shelf.

Took Hailey and Max to the doctor at 9 a.m. for their wellness checks.  They did great except Hailey needs an X-Ray on her knee because it has been hurting her.  Max weighs 106 lbs. now.  Wow!  I told him he was gaining weight the way he ate like a teenager on our vacation.  He looks good and healthy filling out nice. I'm glad to see him eating so good and liking more things. Took them home and then I dropped some stuff off at Salvation Army.  Kimmy and the boys were at our house when I got home.  The boys went with Papa to Tim Horton's.  YAY!  Adam and Eli want to spend the night.  Peyton and Isaac are spending the night too because Vikki has to go to work tomorrow.  Vikki and the twins came.  We ate lunch, and shortly after that the boys and papa got back. The kids had fun playing together.  We made pizza for them when they were hungry.  Vikki, Kimmy, Adam, Peyton, Eli, Isaac and I went swimming.  It was super hot out, so it was nice to cool off.  We sat on the deck for a while.  Peyton and Eli stayed in the pool longer.  Kimmy and Jacob left (Jacob has his orientation for high school tonight), and then Vikki left after her.  We all ate spaghetti.  Bill had to go to his Marine Corp. League Meeting and fill them in on the convention.   Adam and I played 3-13 while Eli, Peyton and Isaac climbed the tree outside and played tag.  They played in the basement for a while too.  Adam offered to help me water plants, so we did that.  He sure is a great help!  The kids and I watched the movie "Facing the Giants".  Had popcorn during the movie.  Such a great movie!  I tucked Peyton and Isaac in bed after the movie and prayed with them. Eli, Adam and I played 3-13.  Eli threw Adam 2 wild cards!  I want to sit by him next time.  We had fun and lots of laughs while we played.  Adam won!

Tues., 8/20/19...Went to our breakfast, picked blueberries, went to visit Cathy Krause, Stopped to pet horses, Swam

I was so happy to see blossoms and buds on my Hibiscus.  I planted it last year and it took a while, but it finally came up again.

We went to breakfast at Sullivans.  Our normal waitress was on vacation, so we had someone new.  

We had a good group there today.  We haven't been there for 3 weeks, so it was good to see everyone.  Luis came for the first time today too.  After breakfast, I dropped off a cloth wallet like the girls and I have for Hailey.  She wanted the pink extra one I have.  After breakfast, Vikki came over, and she and the kiddos went with me to pick blueberries.  They already had blueberries at their house, so they just helped me pick.  Peyton and Isaac sure pick good and also clean now.  They did a great job.  So did Vikki.  I sure appreciated the help.  We tried to call Cathy afterward to see if it was ok to come visit.  She didn't answer any phones, so we decided to stop over.  Charlotte answered the door and was very happy to see us. Cathy was too.  We had such a nice visit and talked about a lot of our memories we've made together.  She and her family have always been like family to us.  We watched videos of her new grandson, Bentley.  After we left there, we saw some horses by the road.  Vikki wanted me to turn around so she could ask if the kids could pet them.  The lady and her granddaughter were very nice and came outside and visited with us.  The granddaughter went to get the horses and bring them closer to Peyton and Isaac so they could pet them.  The loved it.  The girl and her horse, plus two other horses were in the Midland Fair.  She remembered Jacob and Adam walking her friend's horse at the fair.  They were so nice.  We went swimming when we got home.  The water was pretty cool, but it was super hot out, so Vikki, Peyton and I got in.  Isaac just got his feet wet.  It felt good.  It was cloudy out, but after we got in the sun came out and it was so nice.  We got out when it looked like it was going to rain.  I made dinner, and then Bill went to the Flint Marine Corp. meeting to share what he learned in Montana.

Monday, 8/19/19...Went school shopping with Melissa and Hailey. Bill watched Evan.

We were driving through McDonalds and saw our Motorcycle.  We went inside and saw Bill and Evan.  We took this picture when we left.

I picked Melissa, Hailey and Evan up in the morning.  We dropped Evan off at our house for Papa to watch.  We went to the Mall, TJ Max, Old Navy,  Kohls, Target, Gordman's and Plato's Closet.

It was fun watching Hailey shop and keep track of her money.  We had lots of fun.  At 12:30, we stopped at Coco Loco's for lunch.  Hailey had a half order of Nacho's with beans and beef, and Melissa and I split a half order of the same.  It was delicious.  We did more shopping, and pulled through McDonalds to go to the store behind.  When I pulled in, I saw our motorcycle.  We went around the building and parked and went in.  We saw Bill and talked to him for a while, and then went and found Evan playing.  We took pictures of them on the motorcycle when we left and also in the parking lot by Gordman's.  We went to Target after that.  I called Vikki, because they had a cute swimming suit top and her's really stretched out bad.  She, Peyton and Isaac came and Vikki liked it.  We checked out and then Vikki and the kids left, and Melissa, Hailey and I went to Plato's Closet.  Hailey didn't think she liked that store, but it was a very long time ago when she went in there.  She found lots of stuff she liked and so did Melissa.  We had a fun day, but we were all happy to get home and relax.  Bill and I had corn on the cob we got at church yesterday.  Dave was giving corn out to whoever wanted some.

Sunday, 8/18/19, Went to church, Went to Grand Rapids to visit Fred in hospital, Went to Applebees

We went to church. So good to be back after being gone 3 Weeks.  Vikki and her family and Melissa and her family were there.  After church we ate and then left to go see Bill’s brother Fred in the hospital in Grand Rapids.  It rained some on the way.

Visited Fred and Lourdes.  He has had a lot of pain so needs continued prayer.  We had a nice visit and prayed for him before we left.  On our way home we decided to go to Maxfield’s Restaurant in Edmore.  It wasn’t open and will be closing in September.  So sad.  It’s been there for 60 years. Way in the country, but one of the best restaurants ever.  Stopped at Applebee’s instead and used a gift card.  

Sat., 8/17/19....Cleaned the house, Bill helped Bruce with his camper, Went to G's to celebrate Joel's 49th Birthday

Did laundry, cleaned the house, watered some plants and put some things back in the camper.

Listened to worship on the TV while I cleaned.  Bill went to help Bruce work on the floor of his camper.  Wes and Gayla picked us up at 5 and we went to G's Pizzeria for dinner to celebrate Joel's 49th Birthday.  The pizza was super delicious.  They gave Joel a cinnamon pizza for dessert for his birthday and sang to him.  We came to our house and looked at our pictures from our trip and played 3-13 afterward.  Bill won, I came in second, Gayla was third and Wes was the loser!
