12/31/23, Went to church , picked Kenzie and Rehyvn up, went to Vikki’s, home for a nap, back to Vikki’s and Rody’s for New Year Celebration, Watched Ball drop and went home. Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  We went to prayer, than church.  Great time of prayer and the service was great too.  We prayed for people at the end of the service, then visited before leaving to come home.  We ate, than I took the truck and went to pick Kenzie and Rehvyn up. Travis put the car seat base and then car seat with Rehvyn in it in the truck.  It was raining, but when I got to Kenzie’s it turned to just a mist.  We loaded Kenzie’s stuff in and headed to Vikki’s. I dropped them off and helped haul stuff in.  I went home for a while.  Bill and I read our Bibles, then took an hour nap.  Then we headed to Vikki’s with our ham roll ups, Christmas cookies and cheese.  We stopped at Jacks to get extra Hickory Stick because Vikki was afraid she might run out.  When we got to Vikki’s, she had all the food prepared and it looked beautiful the way she had it set out.  I wish one of us would have taken a picture.  Melissa and Bruce got there soon after us.  Peyton’s 3 friends got there around the same time too.  We sure missed Kimmy and family.  We called them to see how they were and let them know we missed them.  Also told them to answer their phone when we call at midnight.  

We ate, then visited with Mia’s mom and dad.  They didn’t want anything to eat, but sat at the table and visited for a while.  The food was delicious.  We played candy bar bingo after we ate and had so much fun.  The kids all loved it and so did we adults.  At the end, we did a cover all for two winners.  The first winner was Isaac, so he won the money and a candy bar choice.  One of Peyton’s friends was the second cover all winner.  Then we played the phone game.  After that the kids played the pie in the face game.   Then they came back in the living room and they and  Melissa played Apples to Apples.  Kenzie joined in after a while.  Everyone had so much fun.  We all had fun holding Rehvyn too.  He is just the best and sweetest baby.  We each got a cup of our favorite flavored grape juice and went in to watch the ball drop.  We counted down, then the kids all had horns they blew.  Were they ever loud.  We wished each other Happy New Year and then called Kimmy and family to wish them Happy New Year.  We sure had fun.  Thanks Vikki and Rody!  Very nice party.

Saturday, 12/30/23, Hailey and Peyton were up by 8:30, Vikki picked up Peyton, went to Frankenmuth,, Kimmy, Jared and family made it home safely, watched the Lions game,

Hailey and Peyton got up at 8:45.  I was making coffee and Hailey scared me when she came around the corner because I wasn’t expecting her to be up so early.  I made chocolate chip pancakes for them and a few plain ones for Bill.  Kimmy, Jared and the boys were exposed to COVID, so they can’t come to our New Year’s Eve celebration at Vikki’s tomorrow evening.  Bummer!  Praying they don’t get it and Jared’s parents don’t get it.  

Hailey left after breakfast to go home and shower then meet friends.  

Peyton and I had ice cream, then watched a you tube video.

Vikki shopped at Kroger, then she came to get Peyton.  She had a couple of pancakes when she was here.  They left, then Bill asked me if I wanted to go for a ride.  I said yes, so we went to Bronner’s to look at Christmas trees. Afterwards, we met Bill’s sister, Debbie, at T Dubs and had burgers and fries.  They were so good.  We had fun visiting and tried to pay for hers, but she knew the waiter so he gave her the bill. We tried to get it but couldn’t get it.

The lights were pretty on the way home.  We read more of our Bibles when we got home.  Then we watched the Lions game.  It was a good game until the refs made some bad calls. 

Friday, 12/29/23, Bill filled the car, truck and cans with gas, went to Coco Loco with Peyton and Hailey, watched Little House Episodes with the girls, They spent the night

They put the sombrero on Hailey and we could hardly see her lol.  Then the waitress went to feed her the first bite (never seen a waitress do that before)

Bruce and Melissa got to open their present from Bruce’s mom today.  His mom and dad came to visit and spend the day.  She ordered a set of plates from Kimmy for them.  She knew they would love these.  She sure was right.  They are just beautiful and Melissa loved that they aren’t heavy.  Kimmy made them just right.  Kimmy threw in a pie dish too.  Great job Kimmy.  You sure made your sister and brother in law happy.  

We ate breakfast and had our coffee.  I had oatmeal and Bill had cereal.  I put on some amazing worship music.  We read our Bibles afterwards.  

Bill wanted to move the basement stuff around, but I like it just like it is.  Not to mention the fact that there are two lights he put up for over the ping pong table.  Once I pointed that out, he decided it was fine like it was.  Instead, he decided to fix the futon.  The boys broke the boards under it.  Bill cut boards to put along the broken boards to brace it and make it strong again.  It worked perfect.  It’s nice and sturdy and folds into a bed easily still.  We will have to train the grandsons to only sit on it normally.  Bill sure did a great job.  He had me come down and try it out.  

I put away some Christmas decorations.  We both went to Krogers to get $1 off gas up to 35 gallons on both my car, Bill’s truck and some cans. Sure was nice to get it for $1.85.  I went shopping for a few things since the girls are spending the night and Bill had to stop at Menards.  I talked to Melissa a couple of times. 

I talked to Kimmy.  Her gifts for her nephews didn’t arrive, so she called me to see if they had been delivered since she ordered on my computer.  They said delivered to the porch by front door.  I took a picture of the picture they sent of it by the door.  Kimmy had thought it was delivered to a neighbor and she was right.  They got it and all was well.  I was so glad.

Bill and I met Hailey, and Peyton (Vikki brought her).  We had a police car with it lights on zoom past us, then we saw a fire truck pull out with its lights on.  We got to the corner where the restaurant was and there was a bad three car accident there.  I prayed on the way it wasn’t Hailey or Vikki.  Vikki called to see if we were ok and was relieved that we were and I was relieved she was ok.  I called Hailey and was relieved that she was ok too.  I let Vikki know right away and she was relieved too.  We prayed for whoever was in the accident to be ok and to call on Jesus to be their savior if He wasn’t.  

Hailey and I got 1/2 orders of Beef and Bean Nachos, Bill got the same only with no cheese sauce, and Peyton got two soft taco’s.  Everybody but Bill took some leftovers home.

Bill told them we were celebrating Hailey’s December Birthday, so they sang to her and put the sombrero on her and gave her free fried ice cream.  We all sure had lots of fun and the food was great.  We came home and watched Little House on the Prairie.  Peyton had ice cream and also gold fish, but the rest of us were too full to do any snacking.  Kenzie called and I talked to her for a few minutes.  I got to hear Rehvyn in he background.  So sweet.
