Melissa's therapist had her get up and stand with her walker.  She did it several times and stood so straight.  She couldn't do the step because her foot kept getting caught but did great when she stepped up on the step on the parallel bars.  We were going to go outside, but it started raining so we stayed in.  I left and picked up cinnamon rolls to take to Charlie and Sue and one for dad and I to share from the Farmer's Market.  It was so busy.  Love going there.  Gabe saw me and came and said hi.  I took Charlie an Sue their cinnamon rolls and it started pouring on the way.  I could hardly see.  I was supposed topics up Max, Jack and Evan and take them to swim at Stacies, or just hang out, but with it raining so hard I cancelled.  I visited for a few minutes with Sue and then headed home.  Ate a BLT and half a cinnamon roll and then left to pick up the kids.  Bill was getting Max so I just picked up Jack and Evan.  Later on, Kimmy, Vikki and the kids came up to visit Melissa at the Rehab.  Bill and Max came too.  Then Kenzie and Travis came too.  We hung out in the multipurpose room.  So nice all being together. Everyone came over afterwards and the kids rode on the quad runner and Jacob, Adam, Max and Jack drove the quad runner.  I was telling Bill they needed to wear helmets, but he was getting upset with me and said they didn't need them because it was set at a slower speed.  Kimmy got here and wanted them to wear helmets too. Bill told Jack how to drive it and Jack took off. He started going fast and scared me.  I screamed Jack, Jack.  The Brake, The brake and then Gosh he should have had a helmet.  This is all on the video which Melissa and I have laughed at several times since then.  It sure wasn't funny at the time.  Jack finally stopped and didn't hit anything.  When Kenzie was riding with Travis, Travis gave it to much gas and it flipped and Kenzie flew off.  I guess Bill sees the need for helmets now.  I took the boys to my house and we all ate pizza and hung out.  Dropped Max and Jack off at home and took Evan up to see Melissa so he could cuddle with her before he went home to bed.  He is really missing his cuddle time with her.  Took him home and tucked him in and prayed with him.  Stayed with the boys till Bruce got home and then came home and went to bed.  I was so tired.  Carol took Hailey shopping with her girls at Macy's today.  They have a stylist who helped them.  Hailey was so happy and looks so cute in her outfits.

8/16/18...Spent most of the day with Melissa at the Rehab

Isaac and Peyton watching Melissa on the Lokomat

Two cuties

Got to the Rehab and watched Melissa do therapy.  They really worked her today.  She did 40% on the Lokomat today.  Last time it was 20%.  She was pretty tired and sore afterward.  Her new roommate is very sweet.  She is 93 and very encouraging to everyone.  She and her daughter are Christians and Love the Lord so that is a huge blessing.  Her daughter showed us pictures of everyone in her family.  Her mom has a set of twins and one of her twins had twins.  Melissa is improving all the time.  Makes me so happy.  What a hard worker she is.  She is always encouraging and making me smile too.

Rick brought donuts this morning for Bill and I.  Poor Bill missed out, but Bruce got to enjoy his.  I picked corn to check to see if it was ready to do.  It is!  I ate the 2 i picked for breakfast.  I went to the hospital.  Kimmy and the boys came and spent the morning at Vikki's, then after lunch came to see Melissa.  We visited for a while and then left to do the corn.  It was so nice having Vikki, Kimmy and the kids help.  Made it so easy.  Got some in the freezer and will be doing more in a few days.  Kimmy left to go home and eat with Jared.  Vikki and I took the kids to McDonald's and used coupons so we all ate for $6.  Vikki and I had Big Macs and the kids had McDoubles.  We all had fries so it was a pretty good deal.  Met Kimmy and family at the fair.  They boys had finished cleaning the stalls, so we all walked around and looked at the animals.  The horses were beautiful this year and very friendly.  We walked around the Midway when it got dark.  Fun with family!

At the motel

We went to breakfast.  Bill rode the motorcycle because he had to leave breakfast at 8:30 to meet Ralph and the rest of the group that was going on the trip along Lake Michigan.  I wanted to stay home and be here to visit Melissa and help with the kids.  I sure am going to miss Bill.  After breakfast, I went and picked up Jack and took him to the Library to meet his teacher who was helping him with some math.  Melissa couldn't help him because of all she has had going on.
His teacher was really nice.  I took Evan to see Melissa.  I stopped and picked up a shake and happy meal for him and got two frappes with a phone coupon.  I got to the hospital and Helen was still there and was waiting for her son to come to take her home.  I gave Melissa a frappe and then asked Helen if she wanted one.  She loved it and was so happy and thankful. She never had one before.   I had to take Evan home so I gave Helen a big hug and told her goodbye. Melissa and I will go see her when Melissa gets out.  I dropped Evan off at home and picked Max up.  We went to pick up Jack and then and went to the rehab so they could watch Melissa on the Lokomat.  She didn't faint today.  Good thing or she wouldn't be able to use the machine.  A lot of people faint on their first time.  I stopped and picked up a pizza and breadsticks for the kids.  When we got to their house, we all ate.  I went home for a little while and then went back so Hailey could go to volleyball practice and I could stay with the kids.  Bruce didn't know I was coming, so he took the boys with him to Max's orthodontist appt.  I talked to Melissa and ended up going back to the rehab.  Vikki called and said she was coming to the Rehab.  Pastor Jeff came up to visit Melissa and pray with her.  He stayed about an hour.  Bruce, Hailey, and Evan came up before he left.  Vikki and I went to Old town drive in and had a coney dog, fries and a root beer.  Melissa and Bruce were visiting outside with a young patient.  He was a Worship Leader at Peace Lutheran who got Guillian Barre' Syndrome.  He had been on the vent, but they gave him the right treatment so now he is having therapy to get strong again.  Matt Starke is a good friend of his.  Went home and Vikki took Evan to her house.  Bill called me and said it was a beautiful ride and we would have to do it together sometime. Watched the movie Christian Mingle.
