Our salad bar for lunch.  Lettuce was from our garden

Isaac started a great fire for us

I made thin sliced chicken on the grill and Isaac loved it.  He said it was the best he's ever had.  He ate 2 1/2 pieces.  I loved seeing him eat so good.

Kimmy and Jared's big cottonwood tree is no longer standing.  They had it taken down.  Happy it didn't hit the sandbox.  Kimmy prayed.

I went early to pay the RV guy. No one was there yet.  Decided to get the groceries i needed and then went back to RV place.  Set up to get estimate for new awning and paid bill.  He told me there was no electrical problem with the camper, it was Outdoor Adventures electrical box that wasn’t working right.  A repair guy from the campground fixed it.   We went swimming. Isaac and I stayed in a long time.  Vikki and Peyton went to shower and wash their hair.

We hung some new lights over the table under the bunk.  I peeled potatoes and cut them up, then Vikki put them in the pan with onions and butter and we grilled them.  Put thin sliced chicken breasts on the grill too.  Isaac said it was the best chicken ever and ate 2 1/2 pieces.  We went in to town afterward and Vikki treated us to ice cream. The kid made a mistake and gave us waffle bowls instead of waffle cones, but they were delicious.  We went to walk through a couple of stores, then came back and Isaac made us a great campfire.

We found out today that insurance will cover all but $500 of the awning and all but $100 of my broken windshield.

Talked lots to Melissa and Kimmy today, and Jack sent me the sweetest text messages.

Vikki, Kimmy and I in our sweatshirts on the beach.  We were cold!  Couldn't believe the kids could stay in the water so long.

Jacob relaxed on the beach.  His suit got left back at the camper.

Me showing Vikki how easy I can get down from the bunk.  She took a really funny video of me.  It was the loft I got down from the other day.  This ladder has the two long poles at the top and I sure couldn't fit through them.  They other ladder is just even with the bed.  It was funny because it was so hard to get down with the ladder moving and not being able to go straight down it.  We sure got a good laugh.

I went to the RV place when it opened at 9 and set up for them to come take off the awning.  He said I could still go to Tawas because they don’t need me here.  Kimmy called for us to meet them in Standish.  Then our r3frig started beeping and wouldn’t stay on.  We finally realized the power to the whole slide out was out.  I called the RV place and told asked how m to look at that while he was here too.  We met Kimmy in Standish and Jacob, Adam and Claire all came and rode with me.  We had a fun ride talking and listening to great Christian music. When we got to Tawas, we walked out on the dock, then went to G’s for pizza, and then went to the Ben Franklin Store.  It was pretty busy, so we didn’t stay long.  We left and headed to our favorite beach in Oscoda.  The kids swam (except Jacob whose suit was in our clam).  The water was 60 degrees.  The younger kids stayed in a long time and then got out and played in the sand. Adam and Claire still aged in over an hour and had fun playing in the waves.

We girls sat on the beach in our chairs with our sweatshirts on and hoods up.  Vikki and I finally laid on our towels in the sans and were 29 degrees warmer.  The kids played on the big sand hill, then played on the swings.  We all walked out on the pier, then headed for our campground.  We ate sandwiches.  Claire put cheese on hers, and then told us she was eating paper because the paper was still on the cheese. We all laughed with her.  Adam and Claire and Jacob and Peyton played against each other in a game of corn toss.  Adam and Claire won.  Kimmy, Vikki and I walked around the campground.  They left for home after that.  What a great day it was.  We all liked Claire a lot.  We had so much fun with her.  Vikki, Peyton and I played 3-13.  I was the winner .  I was going to show Vikki how easy I could get down from her bunk bed like I did the other day and got stuck up there for a while.  We see laughing so hard we were crying.  I told her when I was here by myself the other day, I got prayed and then got down easily.  Well, then I remembered it was the loft bed I got down from.  It’s ladder doesn’t have the high bars I couldn’t fit through lol.

Tues., July 5, 2022, swam, Vikki came up, watched a movie, played 3-13, Ate outside, Went to Walmart and Meijer, Listened to Peyton read a chapter of her story she wrote.

Peyton and Isaac by the pool
Nice morning swim

Peyton, Isaac and I slept in til 9.  We ate breakfast and then went swimming for an hour and a half.  We sat in the hot tub and talked to an 83 year old man.  He was really nice. He shared his whole life story with me, and also shared about hurting his shoulder here and already having rotator cuff surgery.  He also shared about just finishing radiation.  I asked him if I could pray for him and he said yes, so I prayed right then for him.

We came back to the camper and the kids wanted to watch the movie, The Wood Carver.  Such a great movie and message.  Vikki came up just as we started to watch it.  She was so tired she went and took a nap in her bed.  She has been working so hard moving and unpacking things while she was home.  Peyton, Isaac and I played 3-13 and finished our game from last night.

I was the winner.  We ate spaghetti outside for dinner and cleaned up the leftovers.  I washed the grill and it cleaned so easily.  Vikki noticed there was lots of water in the awning from all the rain we got last night.  It wouldn’t even close.  It ended up breaking the awning at one end.  Bummer.  I called an RV place that comes to the campground but they had just closed. Will call them first thing in the morning.  We went to Walmart and Meijer in Bay City so Vikki could get a new swimming suit.  She was happy she found one she liked. It’s really cute.  She bought cheese slices and dill pickles to munch on on the way home.  I found some things for the camper and also got a few groceries.  Talked to Bill and to Kimmy.
