Thurs., 12/28/23, Returned amazon item to Kohls, Bill spent the day with Max, I watched Courageous Legacy and The Father’s Heart, played Uno Flip with Bill

Rehvyn when he visited his grammy Vikki’s today.  Kenzie was sweet and sent me pictures

Bill went with Charlie to Leo’s for breakfast.  They both used gift cards they got for Christmas.  They like the breakfasts there, so that’s why I picked up cards for them.

I went to Kohl’s at 9 a.m. and returned a bath rug set Bill got me.  I had picked it out, but in person the color was way too bright and the rugs were kind of weird material.  It only took 5 minutes and I was done.

I came home and made an egg and ham sandwich for breakfast.  I had my coffee with it.  I read my Bible and prayed.  Especially prayed for Kimmy, Jared and families safe trip to Indiana to celebrate Christmas with Jared’s family.  Kimmy kept me posted along the way so I would know when they got there.

Bill got home and then had to leave to go pick up Max.  They were spending the day and going to Lapeer, Flint and Bay City to hang out and have fun.  I did laundry, then watched part of Courageous Legacy to see the difference from the first one.  I like that there was a segment of 10 years later at the end.  One part made me cry.  I also watched, The Father’s Heart which was amazing.  It was about how important fathers are in their kids lives or father figures are in the lives of others.  Also how important to know that God is our loving heavenly Father.  So many good testimonies in this.  Just amazing.  I watched them in the family room, because I couldn’t get the dvd player in the living room to work when Adam and Jacob were going to watch it with us.  We had to watch it on You Tube.  Today, I figured out what I was doing wrong and they both worked in the living room too.  Yay!  I FaceTimed with Vikki and she showed me sweet Rehvyn.  Kenzie’s cousin, Madi was going there to meet him.  Vikki was watching him while Kenzie showered.  So much fun for Vikki I know.

Bill got home and we both ate, then we played Uno Flip.  The grandkids were playing it on Christmas Eve, so Bill ordered it.  It was fun.  Had to concentrate lots though.  Bill won the first hand, but I beat him in the next four hands, so I was the big winner.

He read his Bible, then we watched a movie.  I love that we love doing the same things and love watching the same kind of movies.  He’s the best!

Wed. 12/27/23, Fun with the boys today, Kimmy, Vikki and Peyton, Melissa and Hailey all came over, Bill put a plug in for me to move the water dispenser

Made pancakes for the boys
Adam relaxing
Evan and Eli

Hailey, Peyton, Adam, Jacob and Evan
Kenzie sent me this cute picture of Rehyvn wrapped in a SwaddleMe we gave him for Christmas. He is just the cutest and most precious baby.

Bill and I got up around 8:30, and Eli, Jack and Evan got up about 15 minutes later.  Adam was sleeping on the couch, and slept through all of us having breakfast at the dining room table.  The boys were happy I made pancakes.  I put some in the oven to keep warm for Jacob.  We watched some Beverly Hillbillies shows with Adam.  Vikki and Peyton got here, then Kimmy got here a few minutes later.  We visited, then later warmed up roast, carrots and potatoes.  It sure tastes good when it cooked in the crockpot.  Bill and Adam worked on cutting out drywall in the closet to put a plug on the other side.  Then Bill got the plug in and wired it.  They did a great job.  It is so nice having a plug where He put it.  He moved the water dispenser machine there for me.  Melissa called and she and Hailey were going to come over in a while.   Vikki, Kimmy and I decided to go to The At Home Store, Meijer and Home Depot.  Before we left, I set the crockpot out for Bill to dish himself up some food.  I also took the pancakes out of the oven.  Kimmy woke Jacob up after 3.  He ate the pancakes while we were gone shopping.  We got a flat plug so we could move the water dispenser over farther without it hitting the plug sticking out, then we bought a new garbage for the kitchen.  I had the boys put my wooden garbage can holder in the basement.  Melissa and Hailey were here when we got home.  Hailey warmed up some food, but Melissa was waiting because she didn’t want to be to full to eat the good meal Bruce was home preparing.  We all visited and had a good time, then everyone left to go home.  It sure was a fun day.  Jacob cleaned his room and the boys cleaned the basement.
Adam told us that he and Jacob went in the kitchen last night and it was a mess with dishes all over.  They cleaned it up for me so I wouldn’t have to in the morning.  They are such sweet boys.  They all are.  I am blessed with an amazing caring family.

Got a couple of calls from Lela today about Chocolate Crinkle Cookies.  It was so nice talking to her.  Jared, Kimmy and the boys leave to go celebrate Christmas there tomorrow morning.  Know they will have fun and have good food and goodies.

Tues, 12/26/23, We slept in, Bill met Charlie for coffee, I did some cleaning, heated up roast in crockpot, then kept warm in over, Kids and grandkids came over for left overs, Jacob, Adam, Eli, Jack and Evan spent the night

My breakfast this morning

Jack, Evan and Eli...they had so much fun hanging out outside and in the basement playing ping pong.
Peyton...she and Hailey are spending the night on Friday

Jared, Jacob and Melissa
Jacob and Adam playing Mario...they were having so much fun

We slept in until 8:30, then Bill had to get ready to go meet Charlie for coffee.  I ate a cinnamon roll Melissa sent home with us yesterday that Bruce made.  It was so yummy!   I also enjoyed enjoyed a cappuccino.  I got some cleaning done, then heated up the roasts, carrots and potatoes in the crockpots in the microwave, then stuck them in the oven to keep them warm til everyone got here.  Everyone got here around 5.  We ate, then hung out together for a while.  Then Melissa, Bruce and Max had to leave, and Kimmy and Jared went to Blue Thumb.  Vikki and Peyton left too.

Jacob and Adam had fun playing Mario Cart on the Wii and the other boys had fun playing outside with the gel nerf guns and playing ping pong.  Jacob and Adam decided to go sneak up on Eli, Jack and Evan when it was dark out.  Poor Jacob ran into one of my bird feeders that was hanging on the tree and hit his head hard.  He also came in with lots of mud on his good Spartan jogging pants.  I sprayed them and then washed them.  They came out as good as new, which made Jacob really happy.  Evan was muddy too, but he had shorts on.  Just his legs were muddy.  He took a shower upstairs and Adam took a shower downstairs.  Afterward we all watched the movie Courageous.  We thought it was the Legacy one, but it was just the regular one.  We all still loved watching it.

The kids all played more afterwards.  I went to bed first, then at midnight Bill came to bed.
The kids all stayed up late, with Jacob and Adam staying up the latest until 3 a.m.  Jacob slept upstairs in the grey room and Adam slept on the couch.  Eli, Jack and Evan slept in the green room.

We went to Bruce and Melissa’s at 9:30.  The kids were excited about us getting there and being able to open their Christmas gifts.  We were excited too.  We all took turns opening and enjoyed watching everyone open.  Everyone loved their gifts and we did too.  Evan got papa a Great American Outdoor cozy and me a Nana, Grandma, Nona, Grammy magnetic frame for the refrigerator that is really cute.  He did such a great job shopping by himself for everyone.  Everyone else did great at thinking of others and what they would like.

Bruce’s dad and Brenda got here just when breakfast was about to be served.  They had a 2 1/2 hour drive and hardly no traffic they said, so made it in record time.  The food was so good....scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash brown paddies, hash browns, Mexican potatoes, corned beef hash, sausage and biscuits, plain and chocolate chip pancakes, homemade cinnamon rolls and homemade candy.  Everything tasted so delicious and it was so nice getting to visit with Bruce’s parents.  We all relaxed in the family room afterwards and visited until Bill and I had to leave to go to Vikki and Rody’s.

It was 55 degrees out so we didn’t even need coats.  Such a nice day to go visit and see what the everyone got for Christmas in the morning.  We stayed at Vikki and Rody’s for a couple of hours.  Isaac played a Christmas song on the piano that he just learned.  He played it so well.  He also played some other songs.  He sure has a gift from the Lord.  Just amazing!
Peyton went through a huge jar of buttons, Vikki got at a garage sale.  There were some treasures in it.  Vikki looked up some of the values online and it was so fun to see what they were worth.  Peyton loved going through it.  The kids got a new game we played and loved.  They were having so much fun with it that we ordered one for Kody.  I have to call and set up when we can celebrate Christmas at their house and give them their gifts.  We left at around 4 when Vikki, Rody, and the kids were going to Rody’s Aunt Ann’s for Christmas dinner.

When we pulled into Kimmy and Jared’s driveway, it was so beautiful to see the animals grazing together.  Steve, the outside cat came to see me.  We had fun seeing all the stuff Jacob, Adam and Eli got for Christmas.  Adam and Jacob were working on their Metal Earth Sets.  Very delicate work required for that.  Kimmy got some cool storage books and has lots of nice new pottery tools to use on making pottery.  Eli brought Blaze to me.  I held him and petted him and he sure did purr.  He is such a beautiful cat.
I checked out their new toilet and it looks great in their bathroom.  Kimmy said no plug ups yet either.  That makes life easier.   I love the flat sides for easy wipe downs.  We have the same toilet.

The boys decided they would love a grandsons sleep over, so we planned that for tomorrow night.  Everyone is coming for left overs and then the boys are all staying.  It will be lots of fun.  Hailey and Peyton are coming on the 29th to spend the night.  I would love to have Kenzie too, but she’s got the baby so that probably won’t work for her.

Bill and I watched a good Christian movie based on a true story.  It was short, but was good.
