Adam, Papa, me, Jacob and Eli in front of the tree
We went to Bruce and Melissa’s at 9:30. The kids were excited about us getting there and being able to open their Christmas gifts. We were excited too. We all took turns opening and enjoyed watching everyone open. Everyone loved their gifts and we did too. Evan got papa a Great American Outdoor cozy and me a Nana, Grandma, Nona, Grammy magnetic frame for the refrigerator that is really cute. He did such a great job shopping by himself for everyone. Everyone else did great at thinking of others and what they would like.
Bruce’s dad and Brenda got here just when breakfast was about to be served. They had a 2 1/2 hour drive and hardly no traffic they said, so made it in record time. The food was so good....scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash brown paddies, hash browns, Mexican potatoes, corned beef hash, sausage and biscuits, plain and chocolate chip pancakes, homemade cinnamon rolls and homemade candy. Everything tasted so delicious and it was so nice getting to visit with Bruce’s parents. We all relaxed in the family room afterwards and visited until Bill and I had to leave to go to Vikki and Rody’s.
It was 55 degrees out so we didn’t even need coats. Such a nice day to go visit and see what the everyone got for Christmas in the morning. We stayed at Vikki and Rody’s for a couple of hours. Isaac played a Christmas song on the piano that he just learned. He played it so well. He also played some other songs. He sure has a gift from the Lord. Just amazing!
Peyton went through a huge jar of buttons, Vikki got at a garage sale. There were some treasures in it. Vikki looked up some of the values online and it was so fun to see what they were worth. Peyton loved going through it. The kids got a new game we played and loved. They were having so much fun with it that we ordered one for Kody. I have to call and set up when we can celebrate Christmas at their house and give them their gifts. We left at around 4 when Vikki, Rody, and the kids were going to Rody’s Aunt Ann’s for Christmas dinner.
When we pulled into Kimmy and Jared’s driveway, it was so beautiful to see the animals grazing together. Steve, the outside cat came to see me. We had fun seeing all the stuff Jacob, Adam and Eli got for Christmas. Adam and Jacob were working on their Metal Earth Sets. Very delicate work required for that. Kimmy got some cool storage books and has lots of nice new pottery tools to use on making pottery. Eli brought Blaze to me. I held him and petted him and he sure did purr. He is such a beautiful cat.
I checked out their new toilet and it looks great in their bathroom. Kimmy said no plug ups yet either. That makes life easier. I love the flat sides for easy wipe downs. We have the same toilet.
The boys decided they would love a grandsons sleep over, so we planned that for tomorrow night. Everyone is coming for left overs and then the boys are all staying. It will be lots of fun. Hailey and Peyton are coming on the 29th to spend the night. I would love to have Kenzie too, but she’s got the baby so that probably won’t work for her.
Bill and I watched a good Christian movie based on a true story. It was short, but was good.
