Sat, 4/13/24, Went to Faith Riders meeting, went to Sebewaing, Kimmy, Jared, Adam and Eli came while we were gone and dug out clay from our new flower garden, then put in the pond, then put a trailer load of compost on top. They worked so hard. We all went to The Olive Garden afterwards.

Pictures are in reverse order again.

Sweet Rehvyn came to visit.  Love his visits and love him!

Eli, Jared and Bill looking over Jared’s new pellet gun.  Bill wants one now.  The boys all love shooting it.  I want Eli to get my Starlings for me.  He’s a great shot.

Happy Boys!
Now for the fun!
Flower garden all finished after a very hard day’s work.  Thank you Team Russell and Bill.  What a huge blessing you all are to us.  We thank you so much and love you so much.  Great job.  Love how you make work fun!
Jared sweeping out the trailer after the compost was emptied out.
Bill, Jared (sitting on the job lol). He deserved to sit after all the hard work he just did.  I thought it was a cute picture.  He didn’t sit for long.  Eli helping too.  Great team!
Jared, Eli, Bill and Kimmy working on getting the pond in just right
Jared and Eli filling the wheelbarrow with compost so Kimmy could empty it and Bill and I could spread it.

Bill having fun driving Jared’s tractor when they went to get compost.  It’s the biggest smile I’ve seen in a picture of him.  I bet Jared didn’t have to tell him to smile either.

Adam, Eli and Jared digging out all of that hard clay.  Adam worked very hard too.   He was going to dinner with hope, so he had to leave.  Will have to take him out to eat sometime when he’s available.
Adam after he dumped a load of clay.  See how it sticks to the wheelbarrow.  Heavy stuff too.

I love this picture.
They got everything out of the garden and now for the huge job of digging that clay which is wet and heavy out and moving it to the woods.

We went to Faith Riders meeting today.  The Lord encouraged all of us through the message and words spoken today.  Afterwards, Bill and I went to Sebewaing to pick up a poly resin pond he found on Facebook.  While we were getting that, Kimmy, Jared, Adam and Eli came to our house and dug out about 4 inches of wet clay from our new flower garden.  It was heavy and stuck to the shovels and to their boots.  It would get so hard I could hardly get the weeds out of it.  They had that big job done when we got home, then they put the pond in with lots of help from Bill and a little help that they would let me do.  After that Bill and Jared went to Jared’s and got a trailer full of compost.  While they were gone we had the cutest visitor and three other sweet visitors.  We took a break to go spend time with them.  When the guys got back, Eli and Jared filled the wheelbarrow with compost, Kimmy dumped the wheelbarrow on the garden and Bill and I spread it out.  Then they put the rocks and stepping stones back in for me.

They also planted some plants they brought from their house.  It was such a big job and they did it joyfully and have a knack of making work fun.  They sure are blessings from the Lord to us.  Thank you Kimmy, Jared, Adam, Eli and Bill too!  I love you all and appreciate you so much.

They did have some fun with Jared’s pellet gun.  We all enjoyed a meal at Olive Garden at around 7:30.  It felt so good to sit down and relax.

Friday, 4/12/24,Super windy and it stayed in the 40’s, Kimmy came over, Hailey came over and brought Abby, We talked to Melissa for a long time

Hailey and Abby
The flags were blowing hard and the wind was howling.  Blowing right at our house so we could hardly open the front door.

We got up at 8.  Put worship Music on.  Got ready, made my coffee, Bill made his tea, then we read our Bibles.  Kimmy got here.  I made a cappuccino for her and we sat at the table.  She bought the bowls we are buying for Pam and Dick to show us.  They are absolutely beautiful.  Such amazing potters and such wonderful pottery Kimmy and Jared make.  We called Melissa and talked to her a long time.  Hailey told us both hi and wanted to know if she could come over and bring Abby with her.  Of course we said yes and were very happy.  I told her to bring Abby’s bed so Abby could be comfortatble while she’s here.
We moved into the family room and talked more to Melissa.  She had Vader’s dad at her house and Vader’s grandfather.

Vader’s dad, Ollie, was at Melissa’s today.  He is the dog on the right closest to Melissa’s shoe.  Vader’s grandfather is in the picture too, In the back on the left.
Vader’s grnndfather, Quake, when he was ready for a dog show.

Hailey came and hurried in with Abby and her bed because it was raining and so windy.  We hung out in the family room and had a great time visiting.  We all warmed up potatoes, chicken strips from last night.  I had peas too, but Hailey said she wished she liked them but she doesn’t.  We visited a little more, then Hailey had to leave.  I helped her carry Abby’s bed out and put it in her car.  I came in and waited by the door to wave goodbye to her when she got out of the driveway.

Bill got home shortly after, and he, Kimmy and I played 3-13.  Bill won and was in the negative.  Kimmy was second winner, and I had 95 and came in 3rd.  I was happy I went out with a pat hand winning hand in the last round and got back under 100.  Bill sure was happy.

Vikki called, but couldn’t make it here before Kimmy had to leave, so she decided to just go home.  Kimmy and I  visited until Kimmy’s alarm went off and then Kimmy left to pick up Adam.  Vikki called me when she picked up the kids, then called me back later.  Bill and I relaxed, but couldn’t really nap because the wind was so loud.

Thursday, 4/11/24, Rained all day, high of 54, everything is getting greener and plants are growing

Rainy dreary day, but should be good for the daffodils I planted yesterday in front along the sidewalk to add to those already there.  They have sprouts so will see what they do this spring yet.  Maybe nothing will happen till next year.
Another stem is growing in the center of this picture below the little pink spot.  Two more blossoms should be coming soon.
Leaves coming on our Maple tree.  Yay!
That’s my boy Eli.  Your great grandma would be really proud of you and I am too.

We got up at 8 this morning, made the bed together, then I ate breakfast and Bill drank his protein drink.  He left to take his sister, Carol, to her doctor appt.  Both of her legs are retaining water since she got that blister on her one leg.  The doctor put her on a water pill.
Bill had to wait a long time to get his prescription from the VA.  I worshiped and read my Bible.  Had a good cup of coffee in my favorite Kimmy mug, then vacuumed the downstairs.
Connected a light that wasn’t turning on with Google and it is working again.  Yay!
I talked with Vikki and texted with Kimmy.  Eli is becoming a really good shot and taking care of her bad birds.  I told her to have him come take care of mine.

I stayed inside all day except for a couple of steps out the front door and a couple out the back door.  Right back in I came.  Kit Kat was under a bush in the front and came to greet me when I opened the door.  I went to the back door and called her to come eat.  I had just set her dish out.  I bring it in in the evening so no critters come eat it.

I made cut up potatoes in foil like we do when we go camping, only baked them in the over.  Also made air fried chicken strips for dinner. After dinner, we watched the Christian movie, Pawn's Move.

Wed., 4/10/24, Vikki brought Rehvyn, I watched him while Vikki went to work, Kimmy and Adam came over, Kenzie came over, Vikki and Kenzie went to pick up the kids from school, I worked on the edging along the front sidewalk, I met Kenzie, Vikki and Peyton at Texas Roadhouse to eat, worked more on flower garden and edging.

These pictures are in reverse order, but I didn’t want to change them all around.

Bill hung all of the swings today while we were at Texas Roadhouse.  He told us he was just going to stay home and rest
He also tilled both gardens before we left to eat

Peyton while we were at Texas Roadhouse!  She’s so cute!

My silly daughter and granddaughter using their tongue as their bottom lip.  Aren’t they talented.  They are pretty cute though.
Vikki took this picture of Revhyn, Kenzie, Peyton (being silly of course) and me
Kenzie when she first got to my house and saw Rehvyn.  He started kicking his legs and waving his hands when he saw her.  He’s happy to have his mommy back from their trip.
Mylie by the yellow pole in our yard.  She was a good girl and didn’t bark much outside
Good Kitty, Good doggie
This tree is so pretty in blossom

Cute pictures of my sweetie Rehvyn from today

Rody’s Aunt Ann got to meet Rehvyn
Beautiful sunset

I got up and got ready.  Vikki brought Rehvyn at 9.  He was really happy because he gets 4 ounces in his bottle now instead of 3 1/2.  He played with his toys and at 9 Vikki fed him and then she left for work.  He was happy playing.  When he got tired of that, I picked him up and rocked him for a little while.  He fell right asleep, so I laid him down.  About a half hour later he woke up and I knew why right away.  He.pooped and I could sure smell it.  I was good because he didn’t go yesterday.  It was a nice hard one, so no mess for me.   He sat in his bouncy seat playing with his toys after that, and he listened to Barney on the tv.  He played until it was time to feed him.  He sure ate good again.  Kimmy and Adam got here right when I was going to feed him.  Adam had testing at school today, so only had a half day of school.  I love it when I get to see grandkids during the week too.  Kimmy held Rehvyn for a while, then we took him outside and walked around.  She also held him on the deck for a while while we enjoyed the nice weather.  He fell asleep, so she laid him down in his bed when we went inside.  Adam watched him while we went back outside on the deck.  Kimmy told him to make sure to get us if Kenzie came.  We wanted to see how excited he was when he saw his mommy.  Vikki was heading home to see him see Kenzie too.  I saw Kenzie got here on the ring doorbell.  Neither, Kimmy, me, nor Vikki got to see him when he saw Kenzie.  Adam just moved him and took care of him instead of calling us and Vikki got here a few minutes too late.  We were all happy to see Kenzie.  She sure is tan.

Kimmy had to leave at 2:30 to go pickup Eli.  Vikki and Kenzie stayed for a while and visited more til it was time to pick up Peyton and Isaac from school.  They left to go get them and said they would call me when they were heading to Texas Roadhouse from Vikki’s.  I worked for a half hour on the edging on the front of the house.  When they called, I left right away to go meet them.  Vikki and I had burgers and fries, Kenzie had steak and shrimp, and Peyton had the kids chicken strip meal.  All of our food was yummy.  Kenzie let me try one of her shrimp and it was delicious.  Kenzie and I took food bags home.
I could only eat half of my burger.  So much fun with these girls and baby Rehvyn.  We hugged and said goodbye, then I came home and worked more outside.  I was getting sore from bending so much, so decided to clean off the shovels and my muck boots and call it quits.  I’m making good progress.  Rain for the next two days, so that will slow things down.

I finished reading my Bible, then worked on my blog.  Bill and I relaxed for the rest of the evening.  He worked hard getting all the things he did today done.
