July 2008 Trip to Family Camp with Wes, Gayla, Bruce, Melissa, & family, plus Kenzie of course.

We had a great time at family camp this year. Baby Jack was 11 days old when we got there and was the best camper ever. So much to do there and so much fun, plus great Christian teachers and evangelists. Beach day is always fun for the kids and adults.
I will put some pictures of waterworld on tomorrow.Hailey and Max were always excited to ride the train which came each day from 4 to 5pm. They would ride it over and over again. Kenzie loved riding it until this year. She played volleyball with her friends instead this year. She even skipped our nightly ice cream to play volleyball. She's growing up on us....boo hoo for nana...I'd like to keep her little if I could.

7/24/08

Busy day today. Went to pick blueberries with grandpa. We got our buckets full, but it took a little longer, than when we pick later in the season. We have never picked this early and didn't realize there would be so many green blueberries on the bushes. When we usually go they are pretty much all blue. We had fun and grandpa did great.
When we got back, I went to return my camera I had just gotten as it wouldn't work with the memory card. I was going to another store in town as this one was out of them when I decided to go next door and check to see if they had the camera. They did and I got the same camera for $40 less. I was very happy to say the least. The only sad part was I had pictures I had taken at Kimmy and Jared's when we were there. There were adorable pictures of Adam and Jacob, but because of the memory card not working, I couldn't put them on my computer. There were also some adorable ones of the rest of the grandkids on there. Oh well, nothing I can do about it.
Came home and did some more packing. After I ate with grandpa, I went to Bruce and Melissa's and picked up Hailey and Max. Of course, I held Jack for a while. He's such a precious baby. Hailey, Max and I were off to McDonald's to eat and play.
Aunt Vikki met us there so that I could get a charger cord for her phone to give to Jared and Kimmy. The kids had so much fun playing. They made a friend and after they had played a while, he went to his grandma and said, "That girl (Hailey) wore me out. It was so funny. Vikki was a big help and we had a nice visit while the kiddos played. Hailey and Max are so well behaved whenever I take them. I love them to pieces and enjoy spending time with them.

Melissa and Bruce brought the baby to church today. He sure is a good baby. He slept through the whole service and by the time everyone looked at him and held him,
it was 5 hrs. that he went without eating...he didn't complain about it either...Just was a good as could be. I enjoyed getting my turns at holding him during the service. Hailey wore her white sun dress I got her and she looked beautiful. Max looked handsome too. They came into worship dancing away and so happy. Rody got to see Jack for the first time and held him. Kenzie wanted to come home with me so that she could go to Madison's grandma's house to play with her.
The girls have so much fun together. They loved going through Madison's grandma's maze. I had called to say they could come swimming here if they wanted to, so after running through the maze and getting hot, they came to swim. They had lots of fun in the pool and I got a rest as I am usually the one playing all the games and racing around the pool with Kenzie. I visited with Madison's grandma and we caught up on what each other has been doing. Bill and I had to leave to take his motorcycle in to be touched up, so Kenzie went home with Madison and her grandma.
They ate and had more fun playing. I am glad Kenzie has so many Christian friends who are nice.

Jack meets his cousins....7/16/08

Today I went to grandpa's to make his supper for him to heat up later. I thought I would visit with him while I cooked, but he was snoozing and didn't wake up until I was almost finished. We visited for a few minutes and he wanted to take me out to show me his ripe tomatoes, but I had to get home to go to a funeral with Bill so couldn't. I talked to him later and he picked it and was very happy to have a tomato. I picked some string beans from my garden and took them for him to have with his meal. Talked to Brenda while I was there. She asked about the baby. After the funeral, we met our Christian Motorcycle friends and went on a fabulous ride. It was so fun and relaxing.
Kimmy fixed my camera today. GREAT JOB KIMMY!!! The battery cover had broken over a year ago so I was using tape. I had checked on a new one and they had told me the part would be $85. I thought I would rather put the money into a new camera than pay that much for a tiny cover. Well, Kimmy checked on EBay and found a new one plus the directions to put it on for $15. What a difference. It's just like new now. A big thank you Kimmy. They were here while I was gone so I missed seeing my wonderful grandsons. Poor Jacob has a sore lip. It's hard for me to even look at the picture. I am praying it gets better fast. I talked to him on the phone and he was playing with a flashlight and sounded very happy. Melissa said Jack slept good last night. I'm glad he's getting more on schedule with his sleeping.
